GLAZED DONUTS (raw vegan) by Raw Chef Yin 🍩😋💚🙌💯😍 My first bite of Krispy Kreme donuts was in 2004 in Las Vegas. I was there for an IT conference, hosting a group of journalists from Asia. One of the journalists, J, from Singapore already had the donuts on her checklist. Krispy Kreme hadn’t arrived in Kuala Lumpur yet so I didn’t quite understand what the fuss was. She suggested that we buy a box of 6 to share. I took one bite and fell in love with the donuts. So soft. So sweet. So addictive. Many years later, when Krispy Kreme finally came to Malaysian shores, I bought a box for my family. My dad didn’t really want to eat it as he said it was unhealthy. Too sweet, apparently. I didn’t understand then. Now I do. More exploring in Brick Lane lead me to the best vegan doughnuts in London: Crosstown!  They have a divine vegan selection.  Oh, and they’re sourdough. They even have a dedicated vegan location Marylebone, near Bond Street station. 

I’ve been MULTIPLE TIMES and tried a bunch of them now, but one of the flavors I picture here is the coconut lime: ‘Our vegan spirulina dough, filled with a coconut custard and topped with a zesty lime glaze and vanilla crumble topping.’

Our donuts are hand made every morning in the café with a daily selection of flavours available, hot from 8:30am and Glazed from 9:30am. We have regular favourites such as Biscoff, Maple Facon and Chocolate Sprinkles and the occasional eclectic special such as the Glazed Donut Burger with vegan cheese, bacon and maple syrup and the Glazed Pizza Donut.
