That didn't completely suck. I can't tell you how good it feels to say that. TGG and I went straight out to run when I got home from work. I wasn't going to let late trains derail me today. (See what I did there? 🤣) I had to make up for not running my 5k with Sonic on Tuesday, plus Marcothon started today.
Marcothon is a challenge started by a guy called Marco in Scotland a few years ago. He decided to run every day in December, just to see if he could, I think. Somehow it went a bit nuts on Facebook, and it went from a few people joining in to thousands. This is the third year I've dne it. The basic rule is that you must run every day for a minimum of twenty-five minutes or three miles, whichever comes first.
And it must be running the whole time, no run/walk intervals. I will be working it in with club training and my runs for Coach. As it happens, he's partaking too, so he gets it. I foresee a couple of runs a week that will be bare minimum, just so I can give more to the interval or hill sessions. I will also be starting to do slightly longer Sunday runs, so I need to have something in the tank for that.
When we finished, TGG started to cook tea while I had a shower. Meat free snags, peas and chips. It wasn't a healthy dinner, but it was lovely. It's been about a week, maybe more, since I had chips, so I didn't feel guilty. I did eat four rounds of bread as well, easily adding 500 cals to the meal, but who can eat chips without making butties??? I was delish and I don't feel guilty. So there!
