MYST LAGOON has a cover!
Last I posted about this little project, I went and completed 2 more pieces for Vagrant Verity Chronicles: MYST LAGOON. First and the more simple of the two was a simple tutorial pop-up that would guide the player to the basic combat controls.
Tumblr media
Second, and more notable is right up top. The "cover" artwork that you'd see on the case and probably in loads more places if this were a real videogame. I really wanted to go for the feeling of mystery and adventure in this one as Doyen looks out across the lagoon into the mysterious castle of clouds (That's the Myst Lagoon!) there was a time where I was tempted to go for a more overcast dreariness or a sunset, but bright blue skies and seas just fit this "game" far better, and I think the cover artist for a game like this would take that into account when deciding on the elements to represent this adventure.
If you've not seen the first little post about Myst Lagoon and the other "screenshots" yet to be done, feel free to check that all out here. But, That's basically it for now until I finish some more illustrations and concepts, so again, stay tuned for next time!

What Type of Pages You Would Find on Your Website?
Tumblr media
1) Error Pages
Present day CMS and wide verities of the format documents produce the mistake message when the product not ready to track down the substance on the worker. The content mistake consequently makes the page behind the scenes.
2) Orphan Page
The vagrant pages are the pages with no connection from different pages of your site. Because of this reality, they are not discoverable while slithering your site by a web crawler. Indeed, even the guest who visits your site could always be unable to arrive at the Orphan pages.
3) Dead-End Pages
Impasse pages are single direction directional pages. When the client arrives at the end page, he/she has just a single decision, to close the page and move to another site or go to the past page. The impasse page won’t have any source of inspiration or connection to different pages. Nothing is found on such pages.

Blood from Stone
Loki received a carrier raven two days after the All-Mother's clandestine visit. They hesitated even to read the paper containing the date and time of their next meeting, but in the end, curiosity won them over. Verity was right, anyway. There would be no harm in at least hearing her out. Maybe it was something good. Maybe she even wanted to apologize and make amends. One can only hope.
It was Midgard. A cafe in Poland, something of a neutral ground for the both of them. Not that it would matter much, if it really came down to it.
Freyja was already there, of course. She sat at a table outside, book in one hand, a pungent herbal tea in the other. She was dressed as a mortal, with a wide brimmed sun hat and a powder blue sundress, modest jewelry and sandals. Of course, no disguise can hide the regal demeanor of the goddess of love, beauty, war, and magic. She still looked for all the world like a queen surveying her subjects.
In sharp contrast came Loki, darkly clad and dripping in gold as always. He walked in two minutes late (completely on purpose, of course,) unceremoniously taking the seat across from her with folded arms and a disgruntled expression.
“Loki,” She said without looking up from her book, more an acknowledgement than a greeting. They grunted in response as a sweet looking waitress made her way to their table.
“This is the visitor you were expecting?” The girl asked in Polish, causing Freyja to finally close her book.
“Yes. My son. We haven't seen each other for quite some time,” She smiled knowingly, and Loki managed to force one back.
“Oh, that's great! Can I get anything for you while you visit, sir?”
“Yes,” They responded in a pleasant tone, “Do you have a cocktail menu?“
That caused her smile to waver for a moment. A cocktail at a cafe at eleven in the morning? Surely he was joking. “We don't serve alcohol here, sir.”
Loki could absolutely feel his mother's eyes drilling into their skull. “A pity. I’ll just have a green tea, then.”
Reluctantly, they were forced to turn back to the subject at hand when the girl scurried away. The two gods locked eyes for a moment, appraising each other. Freyja broke the silence first, which was so typical of her.
“Why are your trousers covered in holes?”
Loki rolled their eyes and leaned back in the chair.
“You look like a vagrant. And stop slouching. You may look like a young hooligan, but you're old enough to know how to sit up straight.”
“Oh, alright,” Loki half moved to leave, already tired of this. “Great visit, mum. See you again next century?”
“Stay,” Freyja commanded, and so they did, but more out of intrigue than obedience. After all, the All-Mother had ceased using the All-Speak, and instead had begun to talk with the old tongue. That was enough to warrant a fair bit of intrigue, indeed. “We must discuss matters of more importance than both our egos.”
“Then say it. What could possibly require this level of subterfuge? Was a royal decree just not good enough?”
“My husband sits the throne of Asgard again,” She began.
Loki interrupted swiftly with a grin, “And how unfortunate that is.”
“It is his right as All-Father. I only served in his absence,” As if that were truly the problem, “And while I did, I put quite a bit of focus on fostering greater connections between the realms. Long have they been under our care, but rarely our allies, and never equals. I was hoping to change that, to create a stronger Asgard that actually serves her people rather than trampling on them. Odin-”
Again Loki interrupted interrupted quite gleefully, “Is an ancient and stubborn fool who can’t see the value in others unless they're being quiet and doing his bidding? I’m well aware.”
“-Is not inclined to politics. You know, this is exactly what gets you into trouble with him. Thousands of years, and you've still never learned when to close your mouth.”
“And I never shall, mother dearest. But praytell, what do your diplomatic woes have to do with me? Nothing, as far as I can tell.”
“The alliance between the realms is destabilized by a shift in rulers, and at this time Malekith chooses to be an instigator. He would see Asgard burned and have me blamed for making much needed changes to our infrastructure. I have no way of knowing what he’s planning, but you could. It’s common knowledge that you’ve been a deadly enemy to Asgard in the past, and what’s more, the leaders of each realm know that you’ve been cast out and are living on Midgard. If you were to join Malekith’s dark council as our enemy, and report to me their goings on, I could use what power I have left to counter, or at the very least defend against his movements.”
Loki’s expression had shifted from mischievous to dour as she spoke, and now as her words finished, it was the face of someone who had just had all his anxieties come to bear before his very eyes. “So there it is. You think me a villain until the very end. Or worse, a political pawn, a clever spy that you can use however you wish.”
Freyja replied with a scowl, “Don’t be childish, we both know what you are. You’re lucky I can treat you even as that, after what you’ve done. What were you hoping for? An apology? A touching reunion between mother and son? Is the blood on your hands so cold that you’ve forgotten where it came from?”
Loki stood suddenly, causing the metal lawn chair to crash down on the paved seating area, and all conversation nearby to go quiet. “You have no IDEA what I am, you sanctimonious shrew! I cannot be manipulated by guilt as I once was, and you, my dear All-Mother, have no other cards to play. I am not your tool to be used as you please, and even if I were, you’re liable to cut your own fingers off using a tool that you refuse to so much as look at.”
Her expression was stern. “Loki -”
“Don’t you dare condescend to me. I am not the scared child I once was, and as I told you and Odin three years ago, the only side that I’m interested in taking is my own. You can keep your bloody war to yourself. I’m not playing!”
People all over the nearby street were stopping to watch the drama unfold now, even if they didn’t understand a word said, and thus were able to witness quite the spectacle as Loki finished their speech with a word of teleportation, disappearing in a snap of green light. Freyja, a bit flustered by the dramatics, took a moment to finish her tea before herself making a magical exit, without paying her bill.

Leaked Ending to Loki: Sorcerer Supreme Arc
Loki, wearing the Cloak of Levitation over the trademark vagrant coat: Hey Verity
Verity: Strange seriously let you keep that?
Loki: It’s a joint custody thing
Verity: Oh, so when does the cloak go back?
Loki: They’re still working that out
Verity: Who?
Cloak, billowing ominously: i call dibs on weekends, every other wednesday, and any following shirtless scenes
Coat, rattling tarnished gold and unneeded buckles: the fuck you do bitch

I'm a failure at research so please pick the character you would like to talk about most! [Even More Dnd Character Asks]
its ok!!! rn i really feel like talkin about verity atm because they r fun
1) A story for every scar. Do any of their wounds have interesting origins?
Verity doesn’t have much in the way of scars, but they do have a cracked tail plate from when they were knocked out and falsely accused of murder. it just done snapped.
2) Three songs that show their character progression.
they havent had Much progression yet but the song that really fits them to a t i think is pluto by sleeping at last
3) If they were a god which god would they be?
hmm this one is tricky. probably a minor deity, they dont like taking up too much space, and they’d be god of vagrants
4) What was their favourite subject at school?
History!!!!!!!! god theyr so good at history. they were a religious scholar, of course they were awesome at history.
5) What does their voice sound like?
Their voice is low, soft, smooth, and somewhat flattened effect, though it rasps when they’re deep in thought, which is very often. In tempo, it’s moderate, and the accent is fairly neutral.
6) Animal, vegetable, mineral: what one thing symbolises them the most?
One thing that highly influenced the character conception of Verity was a rat - thick tail, large ears, black eyes, long face, sharp claws. And symbolically, rats are very appropriate for them as well - they’re intelligent, shrewd, resourceful, kind, and adaptable - some of Verity’s greatest assets.
7) If they could control one of the four elements what would it be?
Water. While Tiefling are naturally attuned to fire, water best suits Verity’s demeanor, and also theyd look pretty alright in blue. They already kinda have water powers as a coastal druid.
8) What would their favourite tv show be?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm probably something that they could watch to distract them from the Stresses of their life. something like dirk gently’s hollistic detective agency
9) Would they ever use magic to gain love?
magic is far too new and strange to them to even vaguely concieve of overstepping the boundaries of consent
10) What do they think of themself?
they think very poorly of themselves. Confidence was never their strong point, partly due to having been the only non-magical person in their family, it ingrained an inferiority complex in them early, and even when they found their magic, they found themself comparing themselves to people much older, wiser, and more experienced than themselves - so it only got worse from there.
11) Gender and sexuality?
Verity is agender and pansexual.
12) Do they have a type?
They most definitely have a type. They would word the type as ‘Very attractive, too good for the likes of them’
13) Playing video games, would they be a completionist, a speed runner, how would they play?
At a relaxed pace, though if they really liked a game they might develop into a completionist.
14) If they could solve one problem, what would they solve?
They don’t really notice problems that dont affect them, nature, or the world at large.
15) What horoscope stereotype fits them the most?
Verity is very nearly a stereotypical virgo like i cant even elaborate. Verity is a virgo.
16) Favourite terrain?
they’ve grown to love coastlands, though in times of great distress they really wish to return to stone cities.
17) How do they dress?
assless chaps and a tunic
18) What would their ideal home be like?
Little cabin in the woods near the sea, room for them, a partner, and a child or two (Adopted. Verity wouldn’t wish the rough life of a tiefling on any of their progeny). rugs on the floors, comfortable beds, not too far from their family.
19) What would they like their mark in history to be?
They would love to fade into obscurity. They feel like they’ve already fucked up their impact too much to ever redeem it, and thusly dont even dream that far ahead.
20) If they could be a dragon, would they be a dragon?
they’re a druid. they’d want to learn how to turn into dragon.

Vagrant Verity Chronicles: MYST LAGOON
Remember that pink boy I posted? Well his name is Doyen Rosebud and he's part of a little side project I'm working on (procrastinating with) while I figure out a more sustainable style for my comic.
Tumblr media
I got the idea one morning to put together a series of illustrations vaguely reminiscent of promotional materials for a underrated action RPG from he 7th console generation that never existed, starring some seriously alright characters on a grand adventure.
I'll be posting more of MYST LAGOON as time goes on to document the process, perhaps even with some videos and such, so stay tuned!
