More synchronocities... it seems the common symbol showing up from their direction is now wolves. On April 19, 2024 I randomly took a spirit animal test. Weirdly enough, I answered almost every question with the water or tropical answers yet got wolf, even when I took the quiz a second time changing some answers that same day, and took it again today to see if it would change and nope. I insist my spirit animal is either the orca or the dolphin, I have plenty of decor and a couple blankets in my house showing I'm big on both ha ha. Anyways... I ended up getting the wolf and thought this is just strange.

The Taylor Swift song I've talked about both here 4 days ago April 24, 2024 in the morning and here later on that day (both of which separately pertain to Jensen and Jared respectively) is "The Prophecy" which happens to have been released on April 19, 2024. Her Instagram post about it states: "It’s a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album. ✌️ I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours. 🤍" Apparently this is Taylor's 11th studio album. And yes, 3 times the charm with this wonderful song!
The lyrics are as follows (which includes a line of howling at the moon like a wolf and looking unstable):
youtube
Hand on the throttle Thought I caught lightning in a bottle Oh, but it's gone again And it was written I got cursed like Eve got bitten Oh, was it punishment? Pad around when I get home I guess a lesser woman would've lost hope A greater woman wouldn't beg But I looked to the sky and said Please I've been on my knees Change the prophecy Don't want money Just someone who wants my company Let it once be me Who do I have to speak to About if they can redo The prophecy? Cards on the table Mine play out like fools in a fable, oh It was sinking in Slow is the quicksand Poison blood from the wound of the pricked hand Oh, still I dream of him Please I've been on my knees Change the prophecy Don't want money Just someone who wants my company Let it once be me Who do I have to speak to About if they can redo The prophecy? And I sound like an infant Feeling like the very last drops of an ink pen A greater woman stays cool But I howl like a wolf at the moon And I look unstable Gathered with a coven round a sorceress' table A greater woman has faith But even statues crumble if they're made to wait I'm so afraid I sealed my fate No sign of soulmates I'm just a paperweight In shades of greige Spending my last coin so someone will tell me It'll be ok Please I've been on my knees Change the prophecy Don't want money Just someone who wants my company Let it once be me Who do I have to speak to About if they can redo The prophecy? Who do I have to speak to To change the prophecy? Hand on the throttle Thought I caught lightning in a bottle, oh But it's gone again Pad around when I get home I guess a lesser woman would've lost hope A greater woman wouldn't beg But I looked to the sky and said Please
On April 23, 2024 some time around 9PMish EST, Charlie had this in his story with the caption "enjoy the moon". Of course, we can't forget that the solar Eclipse that passed through a lot of the USA took place on April 8, 2024. I was not aware of this when I had made a couple posts that included the lyrics for Taylor Swift's new song "The Prophecy" from her latest album The Tortured Poets Department, which she released around 2AM or so also on April 19, 2024 (same day I took this spirit animal test).
Tumblr media
Someone sent me a couple interesting posts also pertaining to wolves, separately with Gen and Danneel in each of them funnily enough on April 26, 2024. This one with Danneel and Jensen being compared to a couple of wolves in this post was made that same day.
instagram
This Instagram post regarding Gen and reporter Stacy Keibler releasing a report for People Magazine titled "Stacy Keibler and Genevieve Padalecki Share What They Hope to Teach Their Daughters When They’re Older" (full People Magazine article was posted online here). Interestingly enough, I'm looking at the inspect page info using Chrome and see it was published initially April 25, 2024 at 14:49:06.931 and modified last at 15:48:23.811 per the Inspect Page data obtained from my Chrome browser as of today 7:50:11PM EST when I checked my desktop clock (what is going on here with me and 11s and time today?!)
Tumblr media
Part of the report that's quoted in this Instagram post says:
“I hope to teach my daughter to embrace who you are and where you are. Don’t apologize for being you,” Padalecki shares. “Be kind, but be strong. Listen, but also be heard. And run with the wolves. Own your wild.” “I love this quote from Women Who Run With Wolves, ‘The way to maintain one’s connection to the wild is to ask yourself what it is that you want. This is the sorting of the seed from the dirt,’ “ - says the mom of three. “’One of the most important discriminations we can make in this matter is the difference between things that beckon to us and things that call from our souls.’ Do not be afraid to listen to yourself.” - Genevieve Padalecki. Genevieve and husband Jared Padalecki are parents to daughter Odette, 7, and sons Thomas Colton, 12, and Austin "Shep" Shepard, 10.
Strangely enough, both her and this Stacy have husbands named Jared.
"I hope to teach my daughters first and foremost to practice self-love. I am already trying to teach them the importance of compassion, kindness and generosity towards others," Keibler shares. "I hope to encourage self-confidence and to believe in themselves, their abilities and their worth. I also want to teach my daughters how to bounce back from setbacks, failures, and disappointments. I want to them to view challenges as opportunities for growth and learning," she continues. "I hope I can help them grow into confident, compassionate, and resilient individuals who are empowered to thrive in all aspects of their lives!" Keibler shares daughters Isabella Faith, 4, and Ava Grace, 9, as well as son Bodhi Brooks, 5½, with husband Jared Pobre.
Today April 29, 2024 Charlie also included the wolf icon in his latest Instagram post and compared himself to a wolf. The caption states: "Still learning to be part of pack. Letting go of being a solitary creature. Grateful for the men in my life who let me be and see who I can be. 🐺" A little crazy story, I finished filling up my car and also my gas container for my lawn mower a bit ago around 18:18:40 according to my receipt (6:18:40pm EST), about 21 min before Charlie made this post around 6:39:11pm EST according to the site I went to (cropped, copied and pasted only some tidbits from the website for relevancy sakes here). The number of gallons I paid for? 15.911.
Tumblr media
I posted here a couple days ago April 27, 2024 around 5:43pm EST regarding Jensen Ackles and how in the past I speculated 11 is a bad luck number for him and included talking about his post regarding both SPN and The Boys wrapping up filming on 9/10 exactly a year apart but suggested 12 may be a good luck number for him. I noted how the day after 9/10 is 9/11. I also could not help but notice looking back on my posts how the link for this post about Jensen being in LA posted on March 19, 2024 and therefore was notably not with Danneel for her birthday on March 18 contains the number 911. I also talked here, here about how the number 11 shows up in a lot of places regarding Gen and Jared and others on my blog as well.
On a very interesting note, on Feb 19, 2024 it was announced on the Entertainment Events Facebook page that Jared and Gen are no longer attending Infinity Con which happens to take place on... May 11 and May 12, which is Mother's Day. Funnily enough, it's also the same day the Tracker episode Jensen will be guest starring on airs per the announcement made on April 26, 2024, which was 3 days ago. Also as an added bonus with the numbers 3 and 4 showing up here a lot, I noticed on April 3, 2024 Jared posted 3 Walker promo videos prior to Walker Season 4 airing that same day per his official Instagram page [X] [X] [X]. Oh and can't forget, this video post of his has the title "Walker Season 4 in 3 Words" on the thumbnail. The song lyrics for "Evergreen" by Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners in this video are:
Locked in a stalemate With a man who bars no holds Rock and a hard place He's battering control What am I waiting for? Feet planted beneath My compass, my transport

We have a world map in our dining room, and we discuss countries all the time.
Keep in mind we have hosted students from China, Argentina, Oman, Japan and Thailand. I lived in Sweden as a teenager (in the 90s), and Hubs and I lived in London for 2.5 years ~15 years ago.
My family growing up hosted 14 different exchange students (Italy, Thailand, Brazil, Indonesia, Japan, Sweden, France), so while I am not an expert I'm pretty well travelled and my dad is from England, so... I'm handy to cover geography on a pub quiz night.
Tonight over dinner Hubs asked the kids (12 years old, and they would never have covered US geography or States at school) which two states are not attached to the USA main continent. Max answered with Hawaii (with extreme hesitance) and they had no idea about Alaska. Fair. It's not something they'd learn at school until high school.
However, I decided to ask about something they should know, and much closer to home... Cue parental horror.
Me: What's the capital of Australia?
Wax: Uh... New York?
Me and Hubs: What?!
Wax: Not New York then?
Me: New York isn't even in Australia... 🤦
(Max is in absolute hysterics because his brother is in the hot seat and not him).
Hubs: What is the capital of New York State?
Wax: Uh... New York?
Hubs: City. New York City.
Wax: Okay. You know geography isn't my best subject.
Me: We need to work on that. Actually, can we name the seven states of Australia?
Me & Hubs: proceed to name 6 out of the 7 States and are then mortified we forgot Queensland of all of them.
(Edited to add: Learnt today, 2nd May 2023, at the ripe old age of 43, that Albany is the capital of New York State!)

ACLU
Well, here we are. Election Day.
With so many of our rights on the line in these elections, we know just how many countless hours of hard work that dedicated people like you have put in. Now, it's finally time to vote for a democracy we can believe in and show elected officials what "We the People" means.
And just to make sure you have all the information in one place, we've gone ahead and made you this concise Election Day guide below. Screenshot and save this so you can refer back to it.
Election Day Guide
(Made Special for You by Your Friendly ACLU Email Team)
1. Know Your Rights on Election Day:
If the polls close while you're still in line, stay in line. You have the right to vote.
If you make a mistake on your ballot, ask for a new one.
If the machines are down at your polling place, ask for a paper ballot.
If a poll worker says your name is not on the list of registered voters, you can ask for a provisional ballot. (You're entitled to this provisional ballot, even if you're not in the poll book).
If you run into any problems or have questions on Election Day, call the Election Protection Hotline:
English: 1-866-OUR-VOTE / 1-866-687-8683
Spanish: 1-888-VE-Y-VOTA / 1-888-839-8682
Arabic: 1-844-YALLA-US / 1-844-925-5287
For Bengali, Cantonese, Hindi, Urdu, Korean, Mandarin, Tagalog, or Vietnamese: 1-888-274-8683
For more information on exercising your voting rights, resisting voter intimidation efforts, and accessibility assistance at the polls, check out the ACLU's Know Your Voting Rights resource.
2. Go Over Your Plan Before You Vote:
Double check your state's voter guidelines for your poll site location, materials you might need to bring with you like your state ID, ballot return deadlines, and other details.
Be sure you've researched what's at stake in your local races and ballot measures.
If you have a mail-in ballot that you have not returned yet, use a drop box or return it in person, if your state allows.
If you are voting in person, pack a few essentials in case your line is long: water, food, and entertainment (a book, music, a podcast like ACLU's At Liberty, a quiz to test your knowledge on the Midterms, etc.).
For guidance on where to find more help with voter information, your plan to vote, the issues at stake, and any other last-minute voting questions, visit our Vote Your Values page.
3. Repeat After Us (Especially If You're Stressed):
It's unlikely that the election results in every single state will be clear on Election Night. That's okay and completely normal. Have patience. Remember with absentee ballots, mail-in ballots, and other considerations, it takes time to count every vote – and that is what's most important.
Our legal and advocacy teams are at-the-ready to protect your civil liberties at the polls – and wherever we may be needed on Election Day and beyond. Remember, the ACLU has national reach: We're in all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico. We'll be here to defend democracy no matter what. Count on it.
We hope this helps for today. We know this election year has been a long one, and we cannot thank you enough for being with us at every turn protecting voters' rights – and all civil liberties – through it all.
Let's vote our values today – and then, together, we will continue our critical fight for a nation that is truly just and equal for all.
For democracy and the people,
The ACLU Team

Day Ten
It’s the first full, five-day week, and it’s Homecoming Week! Woohoo! Today’s spirit day was “USA Day,” so there were many students and staff members, including yours truly, dressed in red, white, and blue. The seniors had a ton of glitter and face paint, too, so that was fun.
My GOV students shared what they’d found out last week about bills currently being considered by the state legislature, which went pretty well. After that, I had them take a look at the US News ranking for NH, and we chatted about the policy decisions that had led to the ranking. They got a little bit quiet again, but I kept asking questions to keep the conversation going, and it was alright. I’m done teaching about state and local government, at this point. Tomorrow’s the state primary election, so I’ll do a lesson about that and have them find out about the various candidates, we’ll go over the results on Wednesday if we have them, and then they’ll have a little test Thursday. Then it’s into the real AP curriculum, warm-up (and state requirement) over.
I had my World students do a little vocab crossword (there’s a quiz later this week) while I passed out the books from my classroom library they’d chosen to read. I explained how to keep reading logs (and why- they’re writing a paper after reading, so it’s a helpful reference), and had them calculate how many pages they’d have to read each school day in order to finish their book by the deadline (mid-November). That helped a lot of students feel more confident about succeeding, especially since I give time to read in class. There were still a few grumblings, and one request to read Dr. Seuss instead, but everyone settled and did the reading today, so I think it’s a good start. After that, I showed them how to do a current events write-up (the basics: find at least two news sources about the same event, make a presentation explaining the event and reacting to it, cite in MLA format). Then I gave them the remaining class time to start doing their own. More reading and working on write-ups tomorrow!
I had a handful of visitors during my prep. The Principal came by to check on a student whose parents had called with some concerns (general ones, not specifically about my class), Ms. A came by to vent about the trials and tribulations of being a first year head coach (she understands now why I choose to be an assistant instead, haha), and a handful of my students from last year dropped by to say hello. I wasn’t especially busy today- no grading to do, set-up for tomorrow’s quick- so it was good.

Ignore me, I just feel like talking... Feeling better than before because last days of school were so fun. We played a cool group game called "The Werewolves of Millers Hollow" (I had to Google the name in English because it has a diffrent name in my language) and love that group game. I loved the special roles like Witch, Cupid, Hunter, etc. (not villager or werewolf cuz boring?) Eeeek, it was just fun (except of the part where innocent me got blamed of beeing a werewolf, haha. I was only villager twice, a witch and in the other round a hunter.) Do you know that group game too? In USA, America? I'm always interested to know more about you guys in the US. It's so fun. And the teachers were surprisingly good at this game. In the last day we played a medical/pharmaceutical quiz about and it was fun too. And a lot thinking, haha. And the teacher told us what we'll do in the first week of next school year. Eeeeek, Expo in Munich, Botanical Gardens, school scavenger hunt with the new students, having meals,... I can't wait ☺️
Now I'm on Hiatus because of summer break which started today!! Wishing everyone an great, awesome and relaxing day <3
Werewolves you say 👀👀
I have not played “The Werewolves of Millers Hollow” but I’m going to now. I just looked it up and it sounds like a game I would totally love!!
We just got an expansion for a game called “Betrayal at House on the Hill” that we’ve been enjoying playing with friends on our game nights. We got the original a while back and in the course of a few months had played every haunt 😅
So the expansion let’s us play new ones and we still explore the older ones which is fun because there is still variation to it between player strengths and item bonus cards. Plus some of us get a wee bit competitive and want to perfect our traitorous ways for haunts replays 😈

Updating of Sporcle NHL Quizzes Underway!
Tumblr media
'Tis that time of year again, when the updating of NHL quizzes at Sporcle gets underway! Slightly complicated, this year, by the fact that today is also the day when Sporcle switched me over to the new quiz-creation dashboard, so there's a tiny bit of a learning curve going on (I got this one updated this morning, and it seems to have gone fine: https://www.sporcle.com/games/Chunklets/50ggoalies). Anyway, it usually takes me a couple of weeks to get everything updated, but I hope to have it all done by May 1st!
Re: the Arizona Coyotes (and all condolences and good thoughts to their fans -- losing your team this way, and so suddenly, really sucks). It seems that they will be the "Utah [Name TBD]" in their new digs. I'll make that particular update to the quizzes once we have their official team name, and after July 1st, when the 2024-25 season formally begins.

Events Scheduled for Ohio County Public Library
Tumblr media
TOMORROW - Help Us Make a Commercial! Do you love reading? Do you want to get your friends and neighbors excited about reading? Then, join Wheeling’s mayor, Glenn Elliot, and West Virginia poet laureate, Marc Harshman, to promote our city-wide reading initiative by being part of our commercial. We will gather at the "Almost Heaven" swing at Heritage Port on Wednesday, May 24 at 2:00 pm to create a short video. No acting experience required. Just bring your enthusiasm for books. TODAY - Noon: Wheeling Reads Launch: All Lies Begin with Truth with Anthony Viola All Lies Begin with Truth dramatizes the complexities of natural gas extraction, its legalities and impact on a small town's economy, infrastructure, and surrounding environment, using three distinctive perspectives. Eris Carroll is a young and energetic activist negotiating her place in a world where societal rules and cultural norms cater to and support patriarchy. Lionel Boone’s past indifferences and mounting guilt over surviving a kettle bottom collapse taunts him daily. Cass Taylor’s cultural role in life was predetermined before her birth. She struggles with the realities of being trapped in small town USA and within the confines of a patriarchal culture. Her somber outlook on the town, her life, and the human spirit is often chilling as the realization becomes clear that as a civilized species, we are imprisoned, being all too dependent on energy and those corporations who provide it for us. Anthony J. Viola is a Professor of English at Marshall University where he teaches literature and creative writing. Note: This program will serve as the launch of the new Wheeling Reads: One Book, One Community initiative featuring Jennifer Haigh's Heat and Light. Mexico Declares Victory Over Fuel Thieves. But Is It Lasting?
Tumblr media
IRAPUATO, Mexico — Soon after taking office in December, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador declared war on fuel theft, an enduring scourge that had been costing the nation billions of dollars a year.
Thieves had launched a particularly damaging attack, draining 1.5 million gallons of gasoline through a single illegal tap over 10 hours and immediately elevating the issue to the top of the administration’s agenda. But targeting the fuel theft racket as his first major security initiative also appeared to be an astute political move by Mr. López Obrador.
Brought to power on a wave of populist anger that handed him a mandate to reshape the nation, Mr. López Obrador was eager to make good on his core promises: to tackle corruption and crime, and to reduce poverty and inequality by making the country’s sources of wealth work for all.
But he inherited, on Dec. 1, a lackluster economy and an unenviable security situation. Mexico was approaching the end of its deadliest year on record, with the criminal world more fragmented and complicated than ever, enabled in part by chronic government corruption.
Tackling fuel theft gave him a way to demonstrate action on several fronts at once. Criminal organizations, sometimes in collaboration with corrupt workers from the state-run oil company, Pemex, were siphoning gasoline and diesel fuel from pipelines and from within refineries and storage installations. The crime cost the federal government more than $3 billion last year alone, impeding efforts to resuscitate Pemex.
“By choosing fuel theft he gets a claim on fighting corruption and insecurity and can do stuff on energy that previous governments failed to do, helping Pemex to become the giant of yesteryear,” said Dwight Dyer, a risk consultant and former official in Mexico’s energy ministry. “So, it all sells very well politically.”
But while there are early indications the government made strides and scored points with voters, there seems to be little faith beyond the López Obrador administration that these gains will hold. It is a doubt fed by a chronic lack of confidence in the Mexican government’s ability — or willingness — to bring the nation’s increasingly sophisticated criminal groups to their knees.
The effort to curb fuel theft began in late December, when Alfonso Durazo, Mexico’s security minister, deployed federal security forces to guard frequently attacked stretches of pipeline and Pemex installations where corrupt employees were suspected of abetting the fuel mafias.
Suspected thieves and their collaborators were arrested, bank accounts were frozen and property was seized.
Investigators discovered that the pipeline system was “full” of clandestine taps, the minister said in an interview. “We kept finding things and finding things,” he recalled.
The government even shut down the most heavily targeted pipelines, which caused shortages and long lines at service stations. Despite the disruption, the population remained overwhelmingly supportive of Mr. López Obrador — particularly after a punctured pipeline exploded in January in an impoverished area, killing more than 130 people who had gathered in hopes of getting free gasoline.
Less than four months after beginning the offensive, Mr. López Obrador said his administration had reduced fuel theft by 95 percent, and declared victory: “We managed to defeat the fuel thieves.”
Pemex reported that fuel theft fell to an average of 168,000 gallons per day in April, down from more than 3.4 million gallons when the president took office, generating savings of more than $600 million.
But many suspect the sharp and sudden decrease in fuel theft is temporary, and that the thieves are just biding their time until the government’s attention has shifted elsewhere.
“It has stopped for now,” said Roberto González, the vicar in a working-class Catholic parish in Irapuato, a central Mexican city where fuel theft was rampant until the federal crackdown. “But they’re waiting for the moment to start again.”
Fuel theft, known colloquially as “huachicoleo,” is a longstanding problem that had gotten dramatically worse in recent years as the enterprise shifted from being the domain of local gangs and entrepreneurs to a major industry dominated by the nation’s largest and most-organized criminal groups.
In the first 10 months of 2018, officials said, the authorities discovered more than 12,500 illegal taps on the nation’s pipelines. By November, thieves were stealing more than 3.4 million gallons a day. A decade ago, by comparison, thieves drilled only about 460 illegal taps, stealing fewer than 126,000 gallons a day.
The impact has been particularly profound for Irapuato and for its home state, Guanajuato, a center of Mexico’s automobile manufacturing industry.
In recent years the region has seen a sharp increase in violence, much of it related to the battle between criminal organizations for control of the stolen-fuel trade, officials say.
More than 2,600 intentional homicides were reported last year in Guanajuato, up from about 1,100 in 2017, according to government statistics.
Irapuato had been “very peaceful” until last year, its municipal president, Ricardo Ortiz Gutiérrez, said in an interview. But the bloodshed began in earnest during the first week of 2018.
The surge in violence landed Irapuato in sixth place on a list of the world’s most dangerous cities with more than 300,000 residents, according to the Citizens’ Council for Public Security and Criminal Justice, a nongovernmental group in Mexico.
The reaction from the criminal groups to the government offensive was immediate and robust.
In Guanajuato, they blockaded roads with burning vehicles to impede the movement of government security forces. A bomb was planted in a truck parked outside a major refinery in the city of Salamanca. The Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel, a local criminal group specializing in oil theft, issued a death threat against Mr. López Obrador, officials said.
And in March, unidentified gunmen opened fire on the local office of the federal attorney general in Irapuato after the arrest of suspected members of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel, local news media reported.
“They are very cruel, very cruel,” said Mr. Ortiz Gutiérrez, the municipal president.
Many observers — here in the state of Guanajuato and elsewhere — believe that the fuel thieves will come back once the government establishes new security priorities and shifts its forces elsewhere.
“Organized crime is just waiting it out,” said Gonzalo Monroy, an energy consultant based in Mexico City.
Part of the challenge for the government will be to dissolve the local support that the fuel thieves have cultivated. Residents in some communities have found employment with the gangs and many more have been happy to pay the cut-rate prices for black-market fuel, which was often sold openly on the shoulders of highways and from the backs of trucks.
The gangs would shore up that support by handing out gifts to townspeople on special occasions, distributing food and paying for medical care and other community services.
“They threw big parties,” said Father González, the vicar of a parish in Aldama, a working-class neighborhood here where, until recently, fuel thieves operated openly.
The president has announced a plan to begin special social development programs in regions where fuel theft has flourished. And Mr. Durazo insists that he intends to keep up the pressure until the crime abates.
“The deployment isn’t going to end,” the security secretary vowed. “It’s totally sustainable, and we are going to sustain it for however long it’s necessary.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media
then this one is dedicated to u anons ❤️❤️❤️
Tumblr media
LMAO listen... it’s for a niche audience but that audience is DEDICATED aka the summary of this blog. i don’t know if people see it and unfollow purely because of the inconvenience having to scroll through the whole damn thing (it is tagged #longpost...) or because they find it cringey but — they’re missing out. phil wang IS hot whether they want to admit it or not!!!
Tumblr media
when i reblog the thirst post, i always lose 50–100 followers 😅 the asks posts cost me a handful of followers as well, but i’m not too worried about that! i can’t skimp on these and leave you guys hanging, and i’m sure those fussy people wouldn’t like it if i was spamming individual asks 10 times a day either. you just can’t please everyone! UNLESS...you’re david mitchell. he unites us all 😌 (don’t worry i’ll get the thirst prepared — send it in now if you wanna be in this quarter’s reblog! hehehe)
Tumblr media
if there’s one thing about my followers it’s that they have OPINIONS [taskmaster s10 discourse flashbacks]...
Tumblr media
...and if there’s another thing about my followers it’s that too much joe wilkinson content maaay have stolen a couple of their braincells ✋
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the amount of ya’ll who asked me to do this!!! shady!!! LMAO listen..if u have the goss, stop by my inbox...trust me with your secrets...
Tumblr media
re: giles i only saw the shitstorm on twitter and but i cackled alone in my room for about an hour
Tumblr media
first of all i don’t know whether i should laugh or cry at this but since it’s his comedy PERSONA i won’t take it personally!!! hehe~ second of all this is very unrelated and probably inconsequential to you being a brit or aussie or kiwi (i’m just peeping “mum”) but my company distributes midsomer murderers in the usa so if any yanks reading this wanna go stream that on amazon prime then ya girl might get a bigger holiday bonus this year just saying~~~~~
Tumblr media
i see u sneaky snek 👀 we’ve definitely been robbed of the sweet, sweet david mitchell content that could have been from more series of the bubble and was it something i said. the thing is, panel shows live and die by their casts & group chemistry. shows like big fat quiz and have i got news for you are both bog standard ass quiz shows with no particularly unique or engaging qualities outside of their roster of personalities. why, then, is big fat quiz so much better than hignfy, you know? if i don’t take the formats into much consideration, then it just comes down to shows led by comedians i personally like. BUT...you know...i do like to believe i have some taste...so 💅 i’d tentatively suggest comedy world cup, you have been watching, and argumental as those that either died too soon and/or might thrive were they resurrected. the first two because i think david tennant and charlie brooker are stellar hosts and i miss seeing their lil faces on the reg, and the third because the format of the show really lends itself to some hilarious dynamics — almost like taskmaster, the comedians are forced to heavily interact and it was one of the only panel shows with a serious teasing dynamic that didn’t turn particularly ugly, which i know many of you aren’t big fans of the way old-generation panel show fans were/are. (god, remember how fucking mean panel shows used to be lmaooooOOOO) there are “debate”-type shows like hypothetical, but argumental was...chaotic, especially with king of chaotic evil panel show menaces sean lock at the helm. do know what i mean? it would be wild to see argumental with today’s comedians, i think. worst? eep... why do i keep saying i won’t answer questions like this and then do anyways? 🤡 personally, a league of their own is borderline unwatchable to me despite the panel having perfectly decent chemistry, and hignfy either needs an entire reboot à la buzzcocks or...retirement. ya’ll probably get me. anyways bring back charlie brooker!! [bangs pots and pans]
Tumblr media
IF THEY HAVE EYES, YEAH.............
Tumblr media
to wrap up the shade in this ask post (lmaooo), i actually got quite a few anons about lou sanders, a...controversial character. but i’m so happy you enjoyed the show!! i think the format is wonky and the editing doesn’t do it any favours — i’m not really sure why it had this forced bake off-inspired pleasantness about it — but it ended up being delightful casual viewing. especially with the advent of jess & jamali as a newfound power couple. who would have thought! as for your question... none that strongly, i don’t think? just general preferences seeing a comedian on one show over the other, like, for example, finding aisling borderline unfunny on 8oo10c meanwhile being a delight on taskmaster. it’s very true how different formats suit different comedians! i was actually just thinking about that re: sara pascoe, who is so great on new world order. (the new season of nwo btw omggg why is every line a goldmine! oh wait, i know why!! frankie!!)
Tumblr media
do we need to start mass-tweeting at richard osman again? i wear i have about 40 bones to pick with that man, he needs to start answering my phone calls
Tumblr media
honestly, yeah. i mean, i know what you mean, speaking as someone who’s on the receiving end of a lot of panel show excitement/reaction. but ofc i only feel this way when i believe someone to be...overrated. which, you know, i feel from time to time, being a human being with opinions and all hehe~ 😅 last time it happened on taskmaster for me was probably s7? a fun season with some fun people, but james acaster was not the standout personality on that series. in fact, not even top 3. rhod, phil, and jessica consistently had better jokes, better banter, better dynamics with greg and alex, better moments every episode, but 80% of my inbox was about acaster. but what can i do? when you’re a huge fan of someone, you think even the way they laugh at other, funnier comedians’ jokes is funny, and that becomes part of their entertainment value in your mind. i do it with victoria every week, who i don’t think many other people would consider the standout personality of the series thus far (if you have an opinion on this, send it in!! i’m curious...). so i don’t want to be a hypocrite, but at the same time....i am a lil but huh 🤪 anyways look how cute victoria is here 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I CAN’T STAND SOME OF YOU LMAOOOOO ...see you in LA later this month
Tumblr media
um pls send stephen mangan recs? I ABSOLUTELY CAN PICTURE JACK DEE ON TASKMASTER but you know what i feel like the older, cynical contestants like jo brand just don’t land with my followers as much as others, so i don’t know if anyone else would want him there :(
Tumblr media
james “uber-liberal” carr
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WAIT SHOULD WE DO AN ALAN DAVIES APPRECIATION POST AFTER THE SERIES ENDS ;_____; i really need an excuse to make compilation-style gifsets like this of a bunch of different comedians. it might be time to bring the polls back...
Tumblr media
aw anon ♡♡♡ i will keep this in mind and try to do my best with the fonts & text! i’m always experimenting because i’m never happy about it, but i’ll make sure to keep it legible even when it’s ugly ♡

PART ONE
Peter stands at his locker, desperately trying to blend in and remain unseen as he switches out his English textbook for Physics. The school year is basically over, given that it’s the last week of May but he’s still not comfortable in the junior-senior hallway. He’s always been the youngest (and therefore smallest) kid in most of his classes, given that he’s been in the ‘gifted & talented’ track since middle school. (He’s on track to graduate next year, taking his last few mandatory classes and completing an internship for additional credit.) This year, Peter feels even smaller than usual; maybe because most of the seniors are already eighteen, while as a sophomore, he isn’t even seventeen. He doesn’t have many friends this year, because of it. Ned moved away last summer because his dad got a new job, and, well, he’d never really needed more than Ned before.
“Hey Pete-squeak,” comes a voice from behind, making him jump. Rolling his eyes, Peter pivots slightly to face the newcomer. The infestation of butterflies that he's been harboring for the past few months begins to flutter immediately, tickling the walls of his stomach as his cheeks flush lightly.
The voice belongs to a tall (or, well, taller than Peter, anyway), ridiculously handsome boy with dark hair and dark eyes, walking towards Peter with his hands in his pockets. The cheeky smirk on his face is all but permanent, but the small, genuine smile it slips into is something that Peter holds close to his chest, something that is typically reserved for him.
Tony, his older brother, is pretty much Peter's favorite person in the world. Technically, he’s Peter’s step brother. Maria, his mom, and Peter’s dad Richard got married when Peter was a year old and Tony was almost three. They’d essentially spent their whole lives together; neither of them could really remember anything before. They’ve always been close, but that’s changed a little bit this year.
“Hey Tony,” Peter chirps, reaching back into his locker to grab his physics binder. He tries to act natural, even though he feels anything but. His heart’s going a mile a minute inside his rib cage. He feels a little ridiculous, he has for the past few months. Swallowing, he manages to sound relatively calm. “You read the last 2 chapters of Beowulf, right? Mrs. Herrera gave us a pop quiz last period.”
The older teen groans. Closing his eyes, he throws his head back, a metallic thunk sounding as it collides with the locker he’s leaning back on. “Fucking hell. The final paper is due in like four fucking days! Is that not enough?” It’s quiet for a moment as Tony pauses before he opens one eye, cutting it to look at Peter. “What were the answers?”
Peter snorts in response, shutting his locker. “Not happening, T.”  He pulls his phone out of his pocket to check the time and lets the left side of his body rest against the cool metal. Three minutes til the bell rings, and Mr. Riley’s class is right across the hall. So he’s essentially got three minutes to indulge himself and the fuzzy warmth that’s running through his veins. He loves any time he gets to spend with Tony. “You’re lucky I told you at all, be grateful.”
Tony wrinkles his nose at him. “Rude,” he scoffs in mock offense. “I know you can remember them,” comes his teasing accusation. (And he’s right. Peter can recall the entirety of the quiz, but he’s still not going to enable Tony.) Then he pauses and raises an eyebrow at his younger brother. “Is that my sweatshirt?” The garment in question is a worn and slightly faded black Led Zeppelin USA 1977 crewneck sweatshirt. Peter’s wearing it over a charcoal and white check button-up. The sweatshirt is one of Tony’s favorite pieces of clothing, he wears it all the time (hence why Peter...borrowed it...without asking).
Having mentally prepared himself to be questioned at some point, Peter’s reply is already on the tip of his tongue. “Yeah, it ended up in my laundry and once I put it on it was too cozy to take off. And it looks good with these jeans and the button-up. And my boots. Trying out a new look,” he finishes, smiling as he pushes his glasses further up his nose. Tony often teased him about the thick, clear-but-slightly-pink frames, but Peter hadn’t wanted glasses at all (he doesn’t need any more reasons to be teased, thank you), but he likes these. They make him look cute, more feminine. More like someone Tony could want.
“You’re right,” Tony smiles. One of his hands comes up to playfully ruffle at Peter’s russet hair. “Looks great on you, kid.” There’s warm affection in his voice.
Peter feels his cheeks go hot again, and he wills the flush to go away. He can’t take compliments from Tony, now- they make him ache and preen simultaneously. He knows that Tony doesn’t mean it the way he wants. Peter knows that Tony would never speak to him again if he knew what was really going on inside his little brother’s head. The thought makes him sick to his stomach.
Speaking of stomachs. “Hey,” he starts as he fingers through the papers in his physics binder, attempting to find the problem set that’s due today. “Did you ever catch up on Hell’s Kitchen? I’ve been rewatching episodes trying to wait for you, but you’re taking too long. You saw the episode where Gordon-” Peter’s heart falls to his stomach and he abruptly stops speaking when he looks up to notice that Tony isn’t looking at him anymore, barely seems to be listening.
It falls completely out of his ass when he sees just what, just who, has stolen his attention.
“Sorry, Pete, gotta go,” Tony mutters once he realizes that Peter’s stopped talking, shooting him a hasty smile and shoving off the navy metal. He skirts past Peter, a slight skip in his step as he makes his way down the hallway.
Peter's swallows and clenches his jaw as he watches his brother walk straight to her, the bane of his existence. The reason he and Tony don’t spend as much time together anymore. The object of Tony’s affections. Pepper. She's...everything Peter wishes he could be, honestly. Tall, somehow a perfect mix of skinny & curvy, bright blue eyes, long strawberry-blonde hair. She's perfect. And not only in looks; she's also ridiculously smart. If Tony wasn’t valedictorian, she surely would be. She even volunteers at the local soup kitchen every weekend, and Peter’s pretty sure she reads to dogs at the animal shelter once a month. He hates that Pepper is so nice; he hates that he can't hate her without hating himself for it.
As if he didn't have enough self-loathing already.

Peter exits the bathroom that connects his bedroom with Tony’s after gently flicking the lock on his brother’s door to disengage it, the soft ‘snick’ ridiculously loud in the quiet of the house. He’s the only one home; Mom and Dad are at some sort of event for Dad’s law firm, and Tony went to a party at Rhodey’s house. (Tony had insisted that Peter was invited, but he had to know that the younger would never go- why would he want to be surrounded by drunk, horny, belligerent teenagers? The last thing he wanted to see was Tony and- )
There’s a dark gray towel loosely wrapped around his waist, so loose he has to clutch it in his hand to keep it from falling. He closes his own bathroom door behind him and drops the towel, digging through his underwear drawer to pull out a random pair of plaid boxers.
After sliding them on, the brunette takes a deep breath and lays back against the pillows, arms behind his head. He tries to consciously relax his muscles, the tension of the day not having melted away during his shower like he had hoped. Time for Plan B. It’s never let him down before. Peter reaches for his phone and unlocks it before swiping through his apps to open Spotify. The sound of “Dazed and Confused” fills the air through his speakers, and he sets it to repeat on a loop. It’s a little fucked up, the way he’s conditioned himself to respond to this song, but- Peter knows the whole thing is fucked up; he’s fucked up.
Closing his eyes, he does the only thing he’s been capable of for months: he thinks of his older brother.
He’s growing fond of the new facial hair Tony’s trying out; he wonders how it would feel against his skin. Which areas would be the most sensitive to its touch? His thighs? His neck? Peter’s head tilts back and to the side as he imagines wet, warm lips and the scratch of stubble. Just the thought, the phantom sensation, makes a soft mewl leave his mouth. It’s a little ridiculous how easy he can get himself going, when he thinks of Tony’s touch, of his body. Of his love. In his boxers, his cock shifts against his thigh as it begins to fill out.
The sensual, plucky bassline and wailing guitars of the song drag along, and so does Peter’s breathing as he brings a hand up to pinch at one of his nipples. He imagines the way Tony would tease him until he was whining, begging for release. He supposes it wouldn’t be dissimilar to his older brother’s typical manner of playfully taunting him. Maybe Tony would pin him down like he did when they were younger, climb on top of him and hold him there with the muscles he’s gained from boxing in the garage. The opportunities he’s had to see the older teen breathing heavy, shirtless and glistening with sweat, would be forever ingrained in his mind. The mental image sends more blood rushing south and his dick throbs as it quickly reaches full hardness, drawing a gasp from his mouth.
Peter takes himself in hand, studying the details of his cock. He knows he’s not huge, but he’s at least on the larger side of average. It’s flushed a deep, mauve-y pink, and he traces the line of a vein on the side with the tip of his pinkie. A shiver shoots down his spine. He wonders how similar it is to Tony’s. Is he circumcised like Peter is? Is he bigger? Longer, thicker even? Sure, he’s seen him naked before, when they were younger changing or in the bath, but that stopped around the time Tony was seven or eight.
(Tony and Peter had come home from school one day, and Peter’s head had been reeling over what he heard some older girls saying on the bus. He’d decided to ask Tony about it. His big brother knew everything. ...Mom & Dad caught them kissing in their bedroom. That was the end of bathing together, and Tony got his own room, too. Peter never forgot about the way his big brother’s lips felt against his own.)
A bead of precum oozes out of his tip and Peter rubs his thumb over it, smearing the liquid over his cockhead. Robert Plant’s voice moans over the speaker and Peter echoes the sound as he slowly strokes himself with a loose grip, his hole tightening around nothing. Biting his lip, he hesitates before slipping his left pointer finger into his mouth, rolling his tongue around it sloppily. Once it’s wet, he reaches down and gently presses the pad of his finger against the tightly furled muscle between his cheeks. His breath hitches as the sensation; he’s only touched himself down here a couple of times before.
The tip of his finger begins to breach his opening and a whine leaves Peter’s mouth. It stings a bit so he tries to relax, muscles fluttering, making a mental note to grab some lube next time he goes to the drugstore. He wants to be able to stretch himself out more, to imagine Tony’s fingers, Tony’s cock, splitting him open and stuffing him full. Fuck-
Tightening his grip on the base of his cock, Peter grits his teeth and grunts softly as he pulls his finger from his ass. He can’t cum yet- he’s not done. He reaches under his pillow, pulling out the balled-up t-shirt that’s taken up residence there. The black fabric has faded in some spots, and the Black Sabbath logo is cracked and worn; it’s one of Tony’s favorite shirts. Peter brings the soft cloth up to his nose, fumbling with it to find the area with the strongest smell. There are hints of Tony’s Old Spice deodorant mixed with a scent that’s distinctly Tony, a warm, masculine musk that has saliva pooling in Peter’s mouth. Delirious, fucking his hand to the beat, he wishes he had dug a little further in the hamper, pulled out a pair of Tony’s briefs.
That’s the thought that does him in. Peter cums into his fist, gasping his brother’s name, the sound getting muddled in the maelstrom of guitar and drums. Thick ropes of jizz splatter on his stomach and chest, entire abdomen heaving with his breaths.
He wipes the mess up with Tony’s t-shirt before tucking the fabric back under his pillow for safe keeping.
to be continued???
