Tsukishima x Reader | Attention
word count: 356
You were focusing all your attention on your phone, and Tsukishima was annoyed. He hated that whatever was distracting you was more interesting to you than him. The two of you were supposed to spending time together at your place. He looked over to see what was taking all your attention. When he saw who you were texting, he felt his blood boil. Not wanting to put up with it anymore, he stood up from the couch, “I’m going home.”
You finally looked up from your phone, “But we were supposed to watch a movie tonight!”
“I’m not in the mood anymore.” Tsukishima deadpanned.
“What do you mean?” you asked.
Tsukishima sarcastically laughed, “You’ve been glued to your phone the whole time texting that guy.”
“‘That guy?’” You replied, “We’re just trying to figure out what to focus our project on!”
Tsukishima grimaced, “You said he was the first to approach you about working on that project. I’ve seen him on campus, too, trying to get on your good side.”
“You’ve never cared about it before when a guy showed interest in me.” You pointed out, “In fact, you find joy in it because you enjoy being able to shoot them down for me!”
Tsukishima’s arms were crossed, and you were wondering where his sudden outburst came from. Suddenly, you smirked, “You’re not jealous, are you?”
“I’m not.” Tsukishima’s cheeks turned red, “Whatever. I’m leaving.”
You tossed your phone to the side and hugged him from behind, “Please, stay. I promise I won’t look at my phone the whole night. The project isn’t due for a while, so it can wait.”
Tsukishima looked at you, and you were smiling. He turned around to face you; your arms were still around him. “Fine.” he responded, “But if you break your promise, I’m leaving.”
You grinned, “You got it… Mr. Jealous.”
He flicked your forehead, but then he grabbed your hand and led you to the couch. You sat in between his legs and whispered, “I love you, Mr. Jealous.”
“Call me Mr. Jealous one more time, and see what happens.” He scowled.

Ushiwaka x Fem Reader | Admittance
word count: 587
Ushijima had mentioned to you today that there was free practice at the end, so you decided that you would visit him with snacks. You peeked in to see if you could enter. When you saw all of them working on their own, you announced yourself. Ushijima noticed you and was about to approach you when all his teammates swarmed you. Goshiki greeted you first, “Ushijima’s girlfriend came with snacks!”
“Idiot, use her name.”  Shirabu reprimanded.
“Now, now,” Tendo grinned, “Let’s thank her for bringing food!”
You smiled, “I brought enough for the whole team!”
You passed them around, and everyone was trying to grab your attention. You completely forgot about Ushijima who was just waiting in the back of the crowd.
Ushijima could feel himself getting bothered by all the attention you were getting from all his teammates. He gave up waiting for you to finish talking to them and went back to practicing his serves. No one had really noticed until they heard the loud slap of the ball that came from his direction.
Everyone, including you, flinched at the loud sound. Leon was the first to speak, “Everyone, let’s get back to practice, but be sure say thanks for the food!”
A couple of them frowned, saddened that they had to go back to practice, but they thanked you and hurried to continue practice. You looked over at your boyfriend who refused to even look in your direction and frowned, “But Wakatoshi didn’t get one yet.”
From the corner of his eye, Ushijima watched you dejectedly leave, and he felt his stomach twist.
Once practice was completed, everyone changed out of their practice uniforms and headed back to the dorms. Ushijima was the last to leave since he had to lock up the clubroom. When he opened the door to leave, he was greeted by you. You nervously said, “Hi, Wakatoshi. You didn’t grab any of the food that I brought for your team.”
He looked at you and felt that same feeling in his stomach as before. You smiled at him and grabbed his hand to pass him the treat. He looked at the food in his hand and said, “I’ll walk you back to your dorm.”
While walking back to your dorm, you were trying to start conversations with your boyfriend. He wasn’t the most talkative person, but he was giving you even shorter responses than usual. You stood in front of him to get him to stop walking and asked, “What’s wrong? You’ve been acting weird ever since practice.”
He could feel his cheeks turning red from embarrassment but answered, “I was jealous.”
“Jealous?” you repeated.
He clarified, “When everyone was around you when you came to visit, I became jealous.”
“Is that why you didn’t grab one?” you asked.
He nodded in response. You looked at him with endearing eyes and then softly grabbed his hand. You held it to your cheek and smiled, “I don’t know if I can ever prevent you from feeling that way again, but I just want you to know that there’s no one that I have stronger feelings for other than you.”
Ushijima went wide eyed at your declaration, and he could feel his face heat up. He still managed to reply, “I feel the same way.”
You grinned and moved to his side, still holding his hand, “Should we go then?”
Ushijima felt his heart warm at the site of your grin and couldn’t help but give a small smile himself, “Let’s go.”

Hi! I know that you’ve said that you won’t continue with the sequel planned for Wandering Bird, but I was wondering if I could inquire on what you might’ve written? It’s just, I really adore your fic; can’t get it out of my head actually (so I’m so sorry if I’m being insensitive!) You mentioned once that you were going to do a POV from Arthur Gwen and Morgana- does that mean they (Morgana and Gwen specifically) had an idea of Merlin’s fate? Could Arthur “see” Merlin during his adventures? Part 1
Part 2: (Again, I apologize for my questions-your story just has so many interesting plot points!!) How would Bonnie and Co interact/react to Arthur’s return? Why couldn’t Freya interact much with Merlin; Was it a lack of magic, interference or something else? Somewhat weird question: but did you have anything in mind for Merlin’s Vigil Night? (If he can get one poor dear). (Gushing continued in third ask I’m so sorry)
Part 3: I loved how you showed Arthur considering legal reforms before his death-and the Phoenix as the emblem? *Chef’s Kiss* Was the creation of the phoenix’s later on a reference to that? Random aside: I really adored how badass you made Merlin, without making him too edgy or dark, you know? Also I really loved the many prophecies/legends surrounding just Merlin as “Emrys”! I adore literally everything about Aithusa, and her final scene made me bawl (also your art is gorgeous!) You’re amazing!
------------------------------------
Don’t ever apologize for asking questions about fics! Even if they’re old fics the author doesn’t plan on returning to, these kind of asks can really make their day and I’m sure 98% of the time they’ll just be over the moon that someone still thinks so much about their work :D I am!!
I still get emotional thinking about Aithusa, so I’m super glad her storyline made you feel so deeply. And that yuo liked Merlin’s portrayal and the lore about him! And thea art! Ahh, just, thank you! 🥰
Unfortunately, I no longer have my original outlines and the roughly 15k I’ve written due to my old laptop crashing, and it’s been 7 years (oh my gosh how) so I no longer remember the details. Which is too bad - I have several abandoned fics in my mother tongue, and I always uploaded summaries of what was supposed to happen to provide some kind of closure to readers. I can’t do that properly with Wandering, but I’ll try my best!
Putting the rest under a cut. :)
Feathers was inteded to be a series of 7 fics: 3 long main stories and 4 shorter (8-15k) standalone side-stories. The graphics are pretty much the only thing I still have  left x’D
Tumblr media
You know this one, 75k of how Merlin spends those roughly 1500 years between the end of the show and Arthur’s rebirth. Then, the stuff that never got finished:
Tumblr media
The Gwen POV side story, set during ch1 of Wandering. Focused on Gwen dealing with Arthur’s death, managing the kingdom and working on abolishing discrimination against magic users. Also getting together with Leon after a few years.
Tumblr media
The Morgana POV one, at parts corresponding to ch1 and ch2 of Wandering. Honestly, I’m no longer sure about the details, but the early parts were supposed to explain and detail show canon, and then... I think I meant to bring her back in as a literal bird. With the life span of it, just keeping her consciousness, so she can watch what happens in the world. She probably watched over Aithusa, too, and Merlin, and IDK but the goal was to show her thoughts and eventually give her character justice and closure.
Tumblr media
The Arthur POV one. He was kept in some kind of otherworldly, underwater palace-like place and could only interact with Freya, really, but he did get constant flashes of Merlin - especially where he was near Albion. This short was supposed to be very dream-like, as time works differenetly in that place. It’s kind of like when you’re half-asleep, y’know? So Arthur didn’t really live those 1500 years like Merlin did, but he followed his journey, in a way. When Freya “woke him up” at the end, they did have a conversation about it. He lost these memories when he was reborn. (But he still often dreams of water and a kind lady)
Tumblr media
The next big one! Set in 2012, this would’ve started with Arthur & Merlin going to uni and “meeting each other” and ended with Arthur finally regaining his memories. Merlin kept away from him while Arthur was growing up, you see - aside from that one time when he learnt that by pure chance, Ray (who became a PE teacher) ended up being one of lil’ Chris/Arthur’s teachers. As old man Emrys, he got himself some history teaching shtick because he wanted to see how Arthur was doing, but he quickly realized that this is not going to work, what with him being in love with the man Arthur is going to become. xD So he left after a few months, and kept away from Arthur. (But kept pestering Ray with questions :D)
Anyway, when Arthur goes to uni (by this point, he exclusively goes by ‘Arthur’ btw, dropping Christopher) Merlin magics himself back into his eighteen year old form and gets enrolled in the same school. Agatha and Mike would have had prominent roles as basically Merlin’s sidekicks. Aggie is especially close with him, after him mentoring her about magic all her life.
Arthur has no memories either of his old life or about the years spent with Freya, so the dynamic at first is pretty much show S1. Most of the angst would have come from Arthur finally wanting to get together with Merlin but Merlin pulling away because there’s just too much Arthur doesn’t know; how is he supposed to be together with him when he’s hiding so much, lying so much? This Arthur is pure and free of the tragedies of the past, and maybe it’d be best if Merlin left him alone... But something must be happening - something the world needs Arthur for, if he slept through WWI and WWII but NOW fate decided to send him back...
Anyways, he would have gotten back his memories aroud the end of this instalment. Cue a lot of crying from Merlin’s part.
Tumblr media
The last big one, a direct sequel to With Memories. A lot of recap and talking in the early parts, Merlin and Arthur reconciliating who they were in the past with who they are in the present and who they wanna be in the future.
There was a Big Bad of some kind of malicious magical origin (not necessarily a person, but an “end of the world” kind of thing/entity. It was 2012 after all. Little did we knew the real shit was coming 8 years later It was revealed that Arthur had magic himself, plenty of it - he couldn’t use it, at all, but he wielded a lot of pure magic, maybe related to how he was basically marinated in magic-juice for over fifteen centuries and how his soul was pushed back into the world xD There was a lot of magical and dragon-related lore to be revealed. The Phoenixes came back to play a part in resolving the Big Bad, too. But it’s all very hazy. What I do remember is that to fix the Big Bad, Merlin AND Arthur had to hold their Vigil Night, in a way - not dying, god now, but both of them hand to give all their combined magic back to earth.  This resulted in the Big Bad no longer happening and Merlin losing his immortality =)
After figuring out their shit in the first half, they were pretty much together, btw. Learning each other in a new way. Arthur digged Merlin’s Phoenix emblem tattoo, that’s for sure. A lot of communication was needed, especially because it wasn’t easy for Arthur to understand Merlin’s grief (sometimes, Merlin looked so old despite the young form he wore; sometimes he felt ancient, and Arthur was a bit scared in his presence - not scared of Merlin, but scared of how to measure up to him, reach him, help him.) And Merlin had to understand that even with his old memories, Arthur wasn’t exactly that Arthur, the king - he had a life of his own in the present, a new identity, and it was unfair of Merlin to expect him to be the same. They no doubt talked a lot about Merlin’s lived experiences, his lost ones, Aithusa. (Merlin never stopped wearing the pendant made of Aithusa’s scale)
Happy end, of course :)
Well, that was a lot of vaaaague stuff, but hopefully gave you an idea? Bonnie wasn’t around too much, though I’m sure I’d have included some scenes with her. She probably didn’t met Arthur until Together Again. Aggie liked him fine but kept teasing him and she could be a bit harsh, what with her being so overprotective of Merlin. Mike and Arthur got along really well. Arthur was shocked when he was first fully introduced to the whole family and was met with his old PE teacher AND that brought up the fact Merlin attempted to teach him for a few months xDD
Buuuuut.... this was still just 6, eh?
Tumblr media
Last instalment, another side oneshot, and a prequel to the whole series. Kilgharrah’s POV. Set a few generation’s before Uther’s rein, elaborating on some of the lore and backstories revealed in Together Again. (all of which I no longer remember, rip) I know we’d have met an ancestor of both Merlin and Arthur through Kilgharrah: Aurelius Ambrosius, who does some good deed to Kilgharrah, and the dragon blesses him - after this, the man takes the name Pendragon. And Coel, who was a dragon lord, husband to Ystradwal high priestess. Coel had a cheerful and kind personality, and he was the first human Kilgharrah came to like. They became friends. Coel was supposed to be Merlin’s grandfather, I think. Kilgharrah and his mate were expecting their first egg to hatch when Uther’s purge started, and that was pretty much the end of this short =(
------------
All I have left aside from these is some tidbits of dialogue from the single file on the sequels I have:
~
“Whoa, Merlin, slow down. I can’t follow you.”
“I’m different from you. Okay? I’m not... I wasn’t... I didn’t reincarnate. I’m not a reincarnation of the original Merlin. I am the original Merlin. Do you understand? I never... Look, I never died.”
“You are. The same Merlin." Merlin nods. "The same Merlin who mucked out my horses and saved me countless times and magicked his way into my life.”
“I’m afraid, sire.”
The title comes without a conscious thought, and when he realizes, his heart twists and cracks.
Arthur just stares at him.
~
“So? Who are you guys, then?”
“I wasn’t lying about them. They are family. No! Gods, no, not like that,” he adds quickly upon seeing Arthur’s widening eyes.
“He’s our magical fairy godfather,” Mike and Aggie say in perfect union, completely straight-faced.
 ~
“The only times I was really miserable were the very first few hundred years, and later the roughly three centuries that followed Aithusa’s death. For the rest of the time, I wasn’t completely alone, and that... helped. A lot. But... it was hard. I hated how everyone I cared for withered away and died before my eyes, so I tried to keep people away for a long time. I was lonely, but that kept me safe from heartbreak. At least, that’s what I’d thought.
“But then I met Bonnie, and as I watched her grow up and start a family - a family that welcomed me - I realised how foolish I was for attempting to condone myself to a solitary life and deny myself the warmth of others’ love.”
~
Arthur wipes a hand over his face. “Owning a magical heritage but no apparent talent to use it... Just. Great. I’m a fucking Quibble!”
------------
Phew!! What a trip down memory lane xD And I actually remembered more than I thought I would, so that’s nice. Thank you for enabling me to ramble and recall some stuff a really liked about this verse. I hope I was able to give you some closure! Cheers!♥

Resident Evil 2 reflections
Tumblr media
One crisp winter evening in early 1998, my friend “Kyle” sat me down on the floor of his room, which was twice the size of my room, and fired up his Sony PlayStation. “You aren’t going to believe this,” he said.
He’d said that a lot over the past several months, usually in regards to something happening on the Sony PlayStation, and usually he was right. He’d shown me Resident Evilfirst, always calling it “Res Eve,” and it had shaken my very idea of what a video game was. Real actors? Real voices? Real emotions? Indeed I could not believe that something as juvenile and recreational as a video game had actually scared me. But the efficacy of that first zombie head-turn was undeniable.
Tumblr media
In the following months Kyle had shown me a Top Gun game with live-action cutscenes featuring the bald principal from Back to the Future; the original Dynasty Warriors, which was a 3D fighting game; Mortal Kombat Trilogy; and the Sephiroth fight from Final Fantasy VII where he destroys the entire solar system as a canned attack animation. It’s amusing in hindsight that these titles could ever have been lumped together in any capacity, but each of them was such a fundamental upset of my existing notion of video games* that it was initially impossible for me to discern any gradient in quality. With the exception of the live-action bits, I couldn’t even discern FMVs from in-game cutscenes, because neither concept had existed in my head at all. It was like if you’d gone back in time to the dawn of the industrial age and shown someone The Godfather and an episode of Married with Children back-to-back. However briefly, there’d be a moment where their reaction would be roughly the same to each: “THE PICTURES ARE MOVING AND TALKING.”
*Okay, MK Trilogy didn't exactly break new ground, but it made me realize my kopy of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on the Genesis wasn't very ultimate at all.
Tumblr media
↑↓ Keep in mind I saw these two things on the same day, prior to which the most visually impressive thing I'd ever seen a game do was accurately render comic strip characters (Garfield: Caught in the Act, I'm looking at you).
Tumblr media
On this crisp, winter evening in 1998, Kyle showed me Resident Evil 2, which had only just released. We sat and watched the Leon intro in silence. There’s a very special stillness, an eerie electricity to the original RE2 intros that reminds me of the ominous feeling of the air and the sky before a big thunderstorm. It’s the same feeling I get when I watch the closing moments of the Who Shot Mr. Burns? Episode of The Simpsons, that sparse tension that is equal parts quieting and disquieting.
I watched, transfixed. Finally, the game relinquished control to Kyle, and he ran through a fiery city street teeming with zombies. Their numbers seemed to fill every shot. Everything was wrecked and burning and overrun, a fruition of the thing the first Resident Evil only hinted at while locking you inside that mansion.
Tumblr media
Kyle ducked into an apparent safehouse and was immediately—seamlessly!—halted by a suspicious shopkeep with a shotgun. A dramatic, fully voiced conversation ensued, the shopkeep backed off, and Kyle was given freedom to explore the room until suddenly—seamlessly!—the horde crashed through the false security of the shop’s window glass and ate the screaming shopkeep alive, blood fountaining from his red-stained neck and torso. You know the rest.
I walked home for dinner at dusk, looking back over my shoulder every few feet, and marveled that a video game could generate such real-life fear.
Tumblr media
I got my own Sony PlayStation about half a year later and devoured both RE2campaigns within three days. By the end I was as much a survivor as a player, and didn’t entirely know how to reconcile the good time I’d had with the immense feeling of relief that it was over. To survive a prolonged immersion in terror is an emotionally complicated experience, and not one I’d been accustomed to associating with “play.” It struck me how much scarier RE2 was than even RE1. RE1 put danger in the obvious place—a big, creepy mansion; in RE2, the evil had spilled out into the streets and overrun society’s most guarded spaces—a gun shop, a police station. The voice acting, graphics, and environmental design were also significantly better than before. The point is that Resident Evil 2 was a special game, in large part because it did things early, but also because it did things well. It was the sweet spot of the original RE trilogy—it did things better than RE1, at a riper time than RE3.
I might’ve thought any attempt to recapture that magic would be futile, had Capcom not already proven the potential for such a thing in 2002 with the GameCube remake of the original Resident Evil, which was where much of the demand for an RE2 remake came from in the first place. The RE1 remake had very cleverly used the players’ nostalgia against them, subverting our expectations in all the most notorious moments. It also made modest but smart improvements to the game’s systems and drastic improvements to its audiovisual elements, and threw in a few meatier surprises. Basically it succeeded in an impossible aim: to make fans feel like they were replaying their favorite game for the first time.
Tumblr media
For the most part, RE2’s remake is just as much of a triumph as RE1’s, combining state-of-the-art tech and thoughtful self-reflection to make the old feel brand new again. The police station is significantly altered from its original layout, and yet similar enough that you feel like you know it. The more rote, later sections of the original game have been given new personality and contour—the greenhouse and sewer sections both stood out as impressively reimagined. The characters, too, have been smartly rewritten to feel more like interacting humans than archetypal action figures. Each one of them bore impressive nuance rarely seen in a Capcom title but crucial for good horror, in my opinion.
Tumblr media
The action seems to lean heavily toward the “survival” side of things, with even plain-jane zombies sometimes taking an obscene number of bullets before they stay down. I appreciate how this adds to the “dangerous” feel of the game, but I sometimes felt like it had lost a little bit of the fun factor I associate with the shooting action of the entire series. Still, I see this as a stylistic choice rather than a flaw, and they also give you a handful of unlockable infinite ammo rewards in the post-game so you can go for a more action-packed “victory lap.” (Note: @jbsargent taught me that term :D)
Mr. X is worth his own essay, but I’ll just say he was always one of my favorite things about RE2 and he’s absolutely my favorite thing about the RE2remake. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Tumblr media
Shortcomings
I’d be remiss if I didn’t talk about the remake’s glaring mistreatment of the A/B campaign structure. The whole point of this game’s dual-protagonist hook is to show the unfolding of events from two separate but concurrent perspectives. Here’s what happened to Claire. Now here’s what happened to Leon. The remake sometimes gives us this—Leon deals with Ada while Claire handles Sherry and the police chief—but sometimes inexplicably puts Leon and Claire through the same events, implying that only one of these campaigns is happening. How else can you explain that both Leon and Claire witness, for example, Mr. X lifting the chopper wreckage to make his chilling debut? What point is there to an A/B campaign if they nullify each other? They may as well have done away with the “2nd Run” concept altogether and just let you pick the Leon story or the Claire story. This is one of those things that bothers me the more I think about it. It didn’t affect me very much in the moment, but looking back I don’t know what to make of the story at all. Who did what? The 2nd Run is slightly shorter than the first, but I would have been content with something even shorter if it meant a more coherent narrative.
Tumblr media
They’ve also cut at least a couple of the moments from the original game in which Leon and Claire check in with one another, which I found to be enough to greatly hurt the sense of connection between the two characters. The moments when they do interact are great, but I wished there’d been a few more. They also speed through the intro movie on 2nd Run, employing a “Last time on 24”-like highlight reel instead of giving it the space it needs to establish the crucial atmosphere and character dynamics. I didn’t like that.
Camera placement is a debate that will probably never die in the Resident Evil community, and it’s hard for me to even decide where I stand on the matter. The use of fixed camera angles in the classic games was a stroke of genius that allowed the games to mimic the tried-and-tested techniques of horror film, but occasionally the shifting angles caused player inputs to get tangled, resulting in unintended frustration. The over-the-shoulder cam used in the RE2 remake and most other recent RE titles gives the player complete control over what they see. This is a much friendlier interface for the action sequences, but it also means the game can’t force you to look at anything. On my first playthrough, I missed four or five classic moments including the first appearance of Mr. X because I happened to be looking elsewhere when they occurred. I see this as emblematic of the sometimes conflicting aims of game design, where a game is both a plaything and a cinematic experience targeting specific emotions. I’m not sure there’s a perfect solution to this, but I appreciate that the game essentially operates like an autonomous ecosystem. If you miss the action it’s your own fault, but it’s true to life in that sense.
Tumblr media
↑ This is actually one rare moment where camera control is taken away and you have to look. Gah.
I don’t think there’s any fair way to conclude that the remake is better or worse than its predecessor, but I’ll happily submit that Resident Evil 2 is the best game ever announced via T-shirt. I think Capcom can look back with pride and say, "WE DID IT."

I wanted my 1001 post to be something special and cool, like the file I made doing into the lore of my Resident Evil OCs, but I have decided I shall use the time to just talking about Resident Evil. I’m seeing a LOT of comments and as a longer time fan of the games, I feel like I could add a new perspective on some issues, and maybe add some important info.
This post will talking about; Teaming Up with Heisenberg, Chris’ Role with Rose, and Dimitrescu advertisement. Spoilers ahead.
Dimitrescu Ad-
Now, this is the biggest issue. Many people are angry because Dimitrescu was only in the game for the first 3 hours at most, (or in better terms, 20% of the time if your play is 13 hours) but was the focus of all the marketing. Here’s the thing though, that was actually genius on Capcom’s part. Dimitrescu is so early in the game that nothing about the later game is revealed. Up until after you defeat her, you don’t have a clear idea what’s going on. It’s just hunt down your baby. You don’t find the first flask till after.
So because Dimitrescu is so early and leaves most of the plot unknown, it was really good to advertise her because nothing of the game would be spoiled. This was a problem with one of the last 3make trailers, as they showed Nemesis’s dog form. OG nemesis didn’t have a dog form, so finding out he’d have one in this game was a spoiler. It caused many people to be like “don’t watch this trailer. It’ll spoil you.”
Next part of its genius was that since the first trailer, people were going NUTS for Lady D. The whole internet was simping for her. Capcom saw this, and they acted on this, showing people all they could of her and making her the focus. They gave the people what they wanted, and this got Capcom more sales, because you had people who had no interest in RE beforehand picking up this game just for her. Feeding into her fans got them more money.
That’s why Lady Dimitrescu’s advertisement was actually really good. Because it kept most of the game a secret, and fed into what the fans wanted, giving Capcom more sales from simps. People are just kinda angry that she wasn’t the main focus (despite the fact the other lords were shown and Miranda was mentioned in the ads as well.)
Teaming Up with Kaaarrll-
One thing people, myself included, wondered was what would happen if we had the choice to team up with Heisenberg. Now, do I have a good idea on how it would go in game?? No. That’s a lot of speculation and headcanons. However I have an idea on how Capcom would do it. Capcom is... lazy, if I’m being honest. They like money and they do stuff cheaply.
Take into account RE2 and 3make. Those games had alternate endings depending on how you played (Claire A/Leon B or Leon A/Claire B) (plus the three different RE3 endings) however when remaking these games there was only always the one ending. There was no way to get a different ending, no matter how you played. Additionally, the A and B games were different in the OG, but in the remake they’re almost exactly the same with a few things changed at the beginning. In the OG for example, Mr. X was only in the B game. In the remake he’s at both but just shows up earlier in B.
Even looking at RE7, they give you this illusion of choice between Mia and Zoe, however choosing Zoe is automatically pointless and gives you the bad end in the long run. This is because Zoe immediately dies and after completing Mia’s portion, she also dies. Choosing between the 2 was pointless because the outcome is just death for one. Nothing even really changes in gameplay aside from Zoe and Mia dying. The ending boss fight and mines are all exactly the same. Even the ship is exactly the same.
So how would Capcom do Heisenberg? Well, like 7, I feel they’d give us an illusion of choice, where the option is clearly “don’t side with him if you want the good ending” because if you chose side with him, he will somehow end up ultimately dying and Ethan will still also get his heart ripped out. (Possibly by going after Miranda) Or alternatively, you chose side with him and then he still pushes you down the hole, changing nothing about the factory aside from some dialogue. Maybe Ethan says something like “I’ll side with you but using Rose is 100% of the table” and Heisenberg goes “well fuck you then.”
Basically if we got to side with Heisenberg, Capcom would probably do it in the laziest way possible because they don’t want to have two separate ways the game can go, and we’ll somehow wind up with the same exact places and gameplay despite the differing options.
Chris-
°-° Ya’ll are really wild with Chris, not gonna lie. I see a lot of people going “Chris was always gonna take Rose and turn her into the next Eveline” “Chris was gonna lie to Ethan, say Rose died and then turn her into a weapon” “Chris turned Rose into the next bioweapons, he’s a monster. He treats her so terribly”
This goes heavily against Chris’s character. Not gonna lie, it’s completely hypocritical of him. Why? Well you see, back in Resident Evil 5 and 6, Chris had two people he was close to, Jill Valentine and Piers Nivens, turned into living bioweapons. Jill had no free will and Piers was transformed. Chris wanted nothing more than to save both of them, urging Piers to come with him because “they could fix this.” These were people he cared about turned into BOWs, and it pained him, he wanted to save them but with Piers he couldn’t. Piers sacrificed himself. Also keep in mind, Chris is a brother. Claire is his only loving family and I don’t think he could ever turn her into a bioweapon, let alone allow someone else to. If Chris would be so against people he knows becoming BOWs, why would he look at Rose and go “screw it. She’s powerful, let’s make her a weapon.” He knows how much Rose meant to Ethan, and he felt bad about having to abandon Ethan. He wouldn’t just... do him like that.
Also, it would be way outta Chris character to turn Rose into a BOW because at the very end of the game, he’s upset with the BSAA. The BSAA has begun using bioweapons as soldiers, which goes against everything they’re suppose to stand for and is completely hypocritical. Chris is upset and ashamed in them, that’s why he says “go to the European Headquarters. Someone has to pay.” He’s going there to raise hell, essentially, because what the fuck are they doing. It would be Chris going “you can’t use BOWs but I can so fuck you.” (Keep in mind, the BSAA being corrupted is why Chris was starting to drift away, and this might be his last straw with them.)
In short Chris never planned to turn Rose into the next Eveline, nor does he want to. He is strongly against BOWs and the use of them. Especially turning innocent people into BOWs, and using them for evil. Not only that but he’s seen people he cares about be turned into BOWs and he didn’t like it one bit, why would he betray Ethan and do that exact same thing to Ethan’s daughter, when he was so determined to save his friends from it. He is most likely just training Rose so that she can control her powers and of kill anyone on accident. The most I can assume is that Rose is an agent for this new organization, of her own volition, but these guys in suits are really on top of her in case she goes rogue this has nothing to do with Chris influence.
In shorter terms, it’s against Chris’ morals, goes against his character thus far, and would be hypocritical of him to have evil plans or intentions for Rose. He is still the good guy, he just isn’t the greatest at explaining stuff (see Chris not telling Claire he was going to Europe because he didn’t want her involved and then her proceeding to go to Raccoon and get involved for more evidence)
(Keep in mind, this isn’t the first “evil” child Chris let live. In RE6, he comes face to face with Jake Muller, Albert Wesker’s son. Chris comments how he sees his father in him, and you’d think this would be a red flag considering what Wesker did. Jake proceeds to point a gun right at Chris’s head, and almost shoots him in the head. What does Chris do? Let him go. He knows Jake isn’t an enemy or going to be an enemy later, so he doesn’t kill him or try to capture him. Chris is essentially only against BOWs who are evil or used for war. If they’re just regular people who were handed a bad card, then he’d let them go (hence why he wouldn’t kill Heisenberg and Rose if they lived. As long as they weren’t planning anything evil, they’d be okay.)

::Out For Blood-Drabble::
TW: Violence, blood, drug mention, torture...
Honestly if you can’t handle even a little gore this isn’t the drabble for you
High key suggesting that you listen to Monster by Skillet on repeat while reading it cause it helps
“The secret side of me, I never let you see
I keep it caged but I can't control it
So stay away from me, the beast is ugly
I feel the rage and I just can't hold it.”
Leonis Aries Karisova had been far too nice for far too long.
He’d ignored every instinct, he’d fought every urge to just blow up, he’d bitten his tongue more times than he could count... He’d been playing the part of the doting, loving, caring, patient boyfriend...
But now? Now that he was on his own and he didn’t have anyone around to hold him back...?
Heh.
That little red monster of wrath started to bubble up in his chest.
He’d already effectively terrified Special K into submission, getting all the information he needed, and now he felt a humourless smile etch it’s way onto his lips. He was hunting, and his beast was thirsting for blood.
Bullet could feel himself melting away, that evil bastard that used to call himself Leonis taking his place and itching for a little fun. His fingers drummed silently on the steering wheel, not really even registering the song that was playing on his old cassette tape. He didn’t care. His eyes flicked briefly to the list of names Special K had given him, mouth twitching into another smirk.
Nineteen Killjoys. Two neutrals.
He’d already gone through every name on the list at this point, somehow remaining polite until he got the information he needed, and now he just had one name left on it...
Nuke Forward.
Bullet sighed at the name, rolling his eyes. Lord, and people told him Bulletproof Racer was stupid... At least he got his from Dr. D, plus it was a lot better than what he used to roll with... The raven haired monster put his beater into park, staring silently at the club in front of him, rage humming through his veins.
“Tiger’s Gentleman’s Club” the sign outside boasted, and Leonis scoffed with a note of obvious sarcasm to it. The men at this fucking place were anything but gentlemen... His jaw went taut for a moment, and he breathed.
That familiar sense of relaxation washed over him as he decided on what he was going to do, and he smiled quietly to himself. This was only the beginning, it was the calm before the storm.
Bullet finally willed himself out of the car, shutting it behind him before taking stock of the place, noting every window, every door, every alleyway, every car, and every patron in sight, nodding to himself as that side of him he tried so hard to repress kicked into full gear. The killjoy elected to leave his jacket in the car, deciding that he quite honestly didn’t want to spend the time it would take cleaning blood out of it. He took a glance to the night sky, sent a prayer to the Phoenix Witch, and that was the last time that Bullet showed himself that night.
Leonis took over from there.
Gloved hands pressed the door of the club open, blocking out the sound of bass as whatever shitty synth mix they were playing tried to pound it’s way into his head. He searched the inside with a piercing gaze, blue hues falling on a pretty thing all dolled up.
“Hey...”
“Heya, handsome~ Lookin’ for a date~?”
“Actually, I’m looking for a friend of mine, Nuke Forward... is he here...?” At the name, the pretty brunette’s face almost instantly fell, glancing off in a corner.
“... yes...”
“Mind leadin’ me to him, Sugar...?”
“Hey... ain’t you Quix’s—“
“There’s twenty carbons in it for you.”
“... carbons first, hot shot.”
Leon promptly complied, handing over the cash to the suddenly eager prostitute who pocketed the plastics and took him by the arm. They weaved through the room, Bullet’s shoulders tensing a little at the numerous tables of pills, pipes, rocks, needles, and lines that were in sight, causing his head to spin and his stomach to clench and that hungry little monster inside him to flare up and will him to reach out to take one pill just one pill just one pill just one and suddenly he was taking a deep breath and counting to six in his head particularly upon seeing the pills with those taunting smiles printed on them He didn’t need them he didn’t need them he didn’t need them he didn’t need them he didn’t—
“Over there with the orange jacket, Sugar. Good luck.” Leon was broken out of that mild panic that had so suddenly flooded him, and he nodded his head in reply, silently thankful that the kid had spoken. He watched as the brunette slipped away from him, and his eyes fell on a his target. Suddenly it was as if the room had faded away, melting into the background as the man locked eyes with him. Every ounce of anxiety in him disappeared at that second, and he found himself straightening up, a charming smile sliding to his lips. He felt naked without his jacket to surround him, but at this very moment, watching as those drug fogged brown eyes slid the length of his form, he was thankful that he’d left it in the car.
This was far too easy...
Then again...
It wasn’t like this was the first Killjoy he’d hunted...
The man in question had shoulder length, greasy hair, dyed green like toxic sludge. Quite honestly the whole dye job was wretched, then again if he’d had any dignity or class to him he wouldn’t be holed up in this joint feeding heroin to prostitutes for sex now would he? Combat boots moved forward of their own accord, and Bullet tilted his head just a tad, a trick he’d seen Quix use on himself to get what he wanted.
Usually it always worked, and it seemed to be working for this bastard as well...
“Well well well... aren’t you pretty~?” The man purred in such a way that Leonis had to keep himself from gritting his teeth in disgust, but still he smiled and even let out a fucking giggle.
Damn wasn’t he a good little actor?
He watched as Nuke stood up, taking note of how tall he was. He was shorter than Quix (then again, wasn’t everyone?) but he couldn’t be more than 6’2 or 6’3... the two pretty things that had been hanging off him on the couch looked particularly nonplussed, but at a sudden, wicked glare from Bulletproof they seemed to think better of opening their mouths and sunk into the couch.
“You Nuke Forward...?”
“Yeah, Sugar, I am~”
“A friend told me I could get a little fun outta you...”
“What friend...?”
“Quix...” The recognition in Nuke’s eyes at this made Leon seethe with anger, fingers suddenly itching with the urge to gouge his beady eyes out.
He hated this man he hated him with every beat of his heart with every breath he took with every—
“How’s about we go somewhere more quiet, Cutie...?”
Leon elected to just smile and nod, motioning for the man to follow him out a side door into the nearest alleyway. He was focused now that they were alone and out of the den of drugs and sex, taking in a calming breath of fresh air.
“So, What is it you were wanting...?”
“What Quix was gettin’, sounded fun~”
“H? I think I got some in my car—“ The Killjoy reached out as he spoke, putting one hand on Bullet’s slim waist, but he instantly regretted doing so.
He didn’t even have time to scream.
In a flash, his hand was pinned to the wooden wall beside them, a razor sharp switchblade driven straight through the middle of his wrist as the man- no, the demon in front of him suddenly stared into his eyes with a gaze that burned hotter and more wickedly than the flames of hell. Cold fear flooded his veins, and suddenly the searing pain in his wrist registered to his head, but he didn’t have a chance to shout as a shockingly strong hand forced its way over his mouth and slammed his head back against the wall.
“Shut. Up.”
It was an order, not a suggestion.
“If you make one fucking sound I swear to god I’ll tear your tongue out with my bare hands and make you eat it.”
Honestly...
Nuke believed every goddamned word.
When Bullet was sufficiently pleased with the fact that the man would stay quiet, he twisted the blade, looking him straight in the eyes. He watched as the man bit his tongue until it bled, and smirked dangerously at him. “Hm. Good. You’re not as stupid as I thought...” He promptly yanked the blade free, grinning as Nuke trembled with wide brown eyes that were suddenly incredibly clear.
“W... what do you want with me...” He whispered out hoarsely, caught and stuck like a deer in headlights.
“Blood.”
Nuke swallowed at this, and shrunk in on himself, suddenly not looking so tall.
“W-what...?”
“Quix almost died because of you.”
“W-wha—“
“Heroin overdose.”
“I... are you gonna kill me?”
“No.” At this point, Leonis calmly and deliberately wiped the bastard’s own blood off on that stupid orange jacket of his, giving a deadly smile before spinning the blade again in his hand in a wicked manner, driving it deep into his shoulder. Nuke bit his tongue again, willing himself not to scream, and suddenly, reflexively, he moved to lash out with his uninjured hand, trying to hit his attacker.
A second switch drove itself so deep into his hand it went through his fist and all the way through his palm.
“That was a bad idea on your part.” The words were said as, in a scarily practiced manner, the blade was withdrawn in a sharp sideways movement, slicing open his palm and effectively relieving him of two fingers and half of his thumb.
This time he screamed.
Leonis decided he was done playing nice and slammed the blade into his other shoulder, careful not to hit anything major as he swept his feet out from under him and Nuke hit the ground hard. The dealer’s head was positively spinning from shock, terror, and pain, breathing heavy and panicked as he spun right into a bout of hyperventilation. He watched, helpless, as the beast of a man stood over him with evil intent in his ice like eyes, teeth bared in rage and sick amusement.
He was enjoying this.
He was actually enjoying this.
“You think I’m the only thing that’s caused Quix to almost die? Not even close! Newsflash, hotshot, your boyfriend is a fucking wreck.” Nuke hissed through everything, suddenly in hysterics. “It’s a wonder he hasn’t fuckin’ killed himself.”
Those words rang in Bulletproof’s ears and his heart rate picked up almost instantly, anger swirling in his head as he remembered the words of a certain someone a week or so before.
‘—Is he still alive or has he offed himself yet?’
Issac’s words burned in his mind, and the raven haired killjoy locked eyes with the man beneath him.
“Lucky me I get to take it all out on you then...”
Nuke Forward’s blood ran cold.
— — — — — — —
It took five hours for someone to find him.
As a girl and her client stepped outside to make a transaction, she screamed in sheer terror at the bloodshed before her. Barely breathing Nuke was passed out cold on the ground, missing two fingers and a piece of his thumb on his right hand, and the index, middle, and ring finger of his left hand. Upon further inspection it was clear that both shoulders had deep stab wounds and his shirt had been torn open.
“P I G”
The word was carved deep into Nuke’s chest, covering the entirety of it with wide, horrific gashes.
Whoever had done this had been out for blood...
This had been personal...
