Biggest pet peeve in fics that write a remix of Jason and Bruce meeting is when they make Jason super timid and afraid of Bruce. Girl Jason did not hesitate for a second with that tire iron:

Being what he is, StarEater has seen a lot and been pretty much everywhere, while Iviara is extremely new, released from a biotech lab to be studied in the wild, so she's eager to learn and listen. He's just happy to have someone willing to listen that isn't trying to kill him, run away or offer their child as a sacrifice for some reason he can't fathom
