Maybe Oh Ana by Mother Mother? Whenever I put on a YouTube playlist of them I never hear that song, and Oh Ana is one of my favorites bc it helped inspire a story of my mine, I even named the main character after that song

Kinda funny how all those years Jikook dressed alike, matching almost head to toe or in exactly the same outfit, this whole fandom wrote it off, even after RM asked them point blank if they were a couple. Then to hear when JK was watching Suchwita, ask why YM were wearing similar clothes, even tho their clothes really were nothing alike, but triggered him enough for a response, really made me laugh. I saw YM & TK shippers saying its cause he knows about YM. LMAO idiots, their clothes weren't couple clothes or matching, they were just too similar for JK's liking. Hey Suga, go try to peel off JM's leaf for him, with JK watching. I just wanna see something for research purposes. We always tease JK & Minimoni, but he also gets high key annoyed with Yoonmin, too.
Anoooooooooon why do you think JK reacted to Suchwita in the first place?? Yes JK is a Minimoni anti. That's been established. But he is also a major Yoonmin anti. Like big time and it's been going on for a long ass time. He he hee. JK is not a fan of Yoonmin moments which is why we don't talk about Yoonmin so shh

So! Off the top of my head exhibit A) this BBMA 2017 Live. JK did not take his eyes off Suga until he got off Jimin
First of all, there is ALOT happening on this live. Like alot. Which is why I'm not clipping the exact moment because you should absolutely watch this entire live. JK has a stronger reaction to RM being on Jimin but he also kept an eye when Suga did it 👆🏽
Exhibit B) Is my own personal theory. Remember in winter package when JK went with Yoonmin for beer tasting and gave up zip lining?
In what world would thrill seeker JK give up zip lining so he can go beer tasting? Now don't get me wrong, JK loves his liquor much like the rest of them. But still, it was kinda sus to me, alright? Could it have been satellite Jeon wanting to be with his man? Maybe. Still, knowing Jimin was gonna spend all day with Suga getting tipsy... idk. I can see JK wanting to be around for that 🤭🤭🤭

Exhibit H) They're discussing Jimin's armpit. JK is smiling, quite big. Then Jimin asks Suga if his armpit is sexy. JK's smile is no longer anywhere to be seen 👀
Exhibit I) this was a favourite of mine. Ngl. Listen. People can deny till the cows come home. But JK reacted the way he did here for a reason. Memories 2021. JK looked away as soon as Suga touched Jimin's chin. Not before. Not after. As soon as Suga touched Jimin, JK looks away so fast I got worried about his neck there for a second. It happened. Anyone who said it didn't well... idk what to tell ya. JK has been looking away for years when something that he doesn't want to see, is happening. Especially after he got a hold of his possessiveness he started to just look away instead of acting on it. It is what it is 🤷🏽♀️
Last one but definitely not least is Exhibit J) this was a popular Jikook moment after this run episode aired. The thing is though... yes we gushed and we "awwed" because JK's ears moved as soon as Jimin started dancing. But you know who else's ear moved?? And he was the only one apart from JK that was affected by that 😏😏😏😏
I could do this all day guys. 😂😂
If JK is staring... so is Suga. If JK is checking out the Jibooty, so is Suga. And we have not even started on how Jimin is clearly Suga's favourite. Be it vocals, be it in general; always choosing him no matter what. And we haven't even talked about how Suga isn't big on skinship but with Jimin that doesn't seem to be a problem???
You guys think JK doesn't see what we see? Doesn't know what we know? Huh? How can he not? I mean, this was right infront of his salad 😂😂 kinda makes me wonder if he blocked Suga on purpose 🤭🤭
What I'm I saying? Even though we will never see Jimin reciprocate whatever this is, (Mans only has eyes for JK. Always has, always will) Yoonminers are the only shippers allowed to try to argue with Jikookers. Them and them only. And genuine Yoonminers. Not tkkrs who ship Yoonmin coz they wanna shove Jimin somewhere to keep him away from their ship.

Hello! Tumblr search function is indeed the worst so I appreciate you checking. But no, I have not written about You’re My Sky, because this blog is fairly new and I watched that in the before times.
Here’s my thing about YMS. I watched it when it came out and I liked it. I remember thinking it was visually stunning—much higher quality cinematography than we normally get in bls. I remember Suar standing out as the best actor in the cast. I remember it was sports sports sports and I remember the green and orange uniforms. And I remember…virtually nothing else about it.
And thus when I created this blog and made my bl ratings post by thinking back on all the bl dramas I had watched, I dropped it in the nebulous “I think this was good but I quickly forgot all about it” tier. This happens to me sometimes in particular with multi couple shows (by which I mean shows where there are actually several couples with roughly equal screen time and focus, not shows with a main couple and sides). The focus is fragmented and thus I don’t really have the chance to get attached or deeply invested in any pair. And this was definitely the case with YMS. If you put these characters in a line up I couldn’t tell you their names or even feel confident about who is paired with who. Thus, my rating.
I have actually been considering giving it another look because a few of my friends really love it and have been arguing for it as an underrated gem. If I do that, I’ll definitely write about it and tag you. But lord knows how long that’ll take given my mile long watch list, so in the meantime I’ll point you to this post by my friend @wen-kexing-apologist, who recently watched it for the first time and really loved it.

if you love greta gerwig (specifically ladybird) or not strong enough by boygeinus please pick up this book i promise you will not put it down.
all i want in life is for this book to actually get big and get apapted into a movie directed by greta gerwig starring saorsie ronan as joey and timothee chalamet as benji.

my favorite underrated vocaloid songs once again with commentary. i dont know how underrated things actually are bc i dont interact with the vocaloid community but yknow how it is
the goat. i have never seen anybody talk about this song ever. the mv has so little views and half the streams on spotify are probably me. the songs about an abused child begging to be loved so beware if you search the mv or lyrics up.
i just realized both these songs were by tohru-ch. they make good songs! another underrated classic. the mv is sick if you manage to find it. this producer is a rin master in my opinion. this song is about how bad capitalism is and the vocals are amazing. nandemo nandemo nandemo. the desperation they managed to infuse into rins voice is so impressive and the guitar is impressive. ive been listening to this song since a very young age like ten. why was i listening to this at ten. piano goes crazy as well
i owe this one to the ex mutual who made a playlist for my fanfic and eventually blocked me. thank you for this absolute banger. i forget what the lyrics to this one mean and the mv isnt much its just kinda green stuff. goes exceptionally hard i cant tell whos singing but its still fantastic. i love the guitar that kinda sounds like rubber bands strapped to cardboard. that sounds weird but listen youll see.
i dont think this ones actually underrated since pinas pretty popular (rats died is too famous for me to put on here even though its a masterpiece). when i saw melissa covered it i died and ascended to heaven. the mv is fantastical and dizzying, and the song is perfectly melancholic. i really like the ooo singing in the background. i have had this song on repeat for an excessively long period. im very surprised it wasnt in my wrapped top five. saa saa saa saa saa saa

i dont think this one is actually underrated im going by no metrics this list is just my opinion. it may not be underrated but it slaps and i played it on loop when i was in seventh grade and playing overwatch. not the best gaming music it just makes you really sad

Here’s every version of “Dear MAMA” by YM (excluding off-vocals) I found
It was YM’s first vocaloid song and definitely exudes early vocaloid rock. It was cool to see his progression through experimenting with Gumi’s pitch, the instrumentals, the mixing, and overall progress. (Note that the higher pitched remake is more of an alternate version of the 2010 remake rather than a new separate remake.)
Anyways, I wanted to share this because I think the song is really underrated and so is YM in general. By the way if you didn’t know, he was the dude who made Ten-Faced and UrusaaA.

i think when it comes to fob fans themselves, mania is the most underrated. fall out boy has always had an issue with the general fanbase believing their newest album is their weakest one and LUCKILY people are realising how good mania actually is but i still think it goes overlooked by a lot of people

my Mo fic in the midst of a storm and i guess it’s because Mo’s not the most popular guy to read about anymore and also maybe combined with the fact that it’s a bittersweet ending but anyway it’s one of my favourite fics and think more people should read it! the feedback that i did get on it, though, was really great!

literally all of them and that’s a cop out - but i go back and read the tags on ym fics all the fucking time and we’d be here for ever. the ones that make my heart swell the most are the ones that compliment my pacing and characterisation though

Spotlight: Jimmi Busa, Vice President of Studio Nine Lives
My pal and the VP at animation firm “Studio Nine Lives” talks about his influences, breaking into the industry and his dream project.

QCP: Let’s start with the burning question on everyone’s mind: How did you get into anime?
JB: Growing up with 90’s anime gave me the best childhood,along with the pipe dream that maybe someday there was the possibility that I could produce my own anime series or even have my own anime studio. The chances of making that a reality were very unlikely, since I took medical courses, in college only to follow that up with a career in real estate sales! The chance came in 2012 when a friend of mine was impressed with a few of my miniature sculptures and introduced me to a western animation studio owner who wanted me to do some miniature model figures for an original project she planned to pitch in Busan, South Korea that summer. I ended up getting there to present the content itself and saw a way to finally enter the animation industry with a different tactical approach.
My entry into anime was completed when I met Mr. Brian “Bobby” Barredo within days after arriving from Busan. For the next two years, we planned out the process of upgrading his anime studio (Cat Animation) and later on deciding to make a bigger one, which became Studio Nine Lives and it’s sister school, South East Asian Center of Animation Technology or SEACAT. Our aim is to produce an army of next-generation animation professionals by making sure that kids growing now up don’t just dream about having their own studios, but have the knowledge & resources to make it happen.
QCP: How do you decide what projects to take on, as a studio?
JB: We envisioned Nine Lives as a total animation outfit, handling full production work up to corporate project requirements. While we keep anime production close to heart, we actively seek projects that offer us new challenges and provide the best opportunities for our studio and creators to grow, even if it is not anime-related. At present, we are deep in outsourced anime work from Japan, which keeps us on our toes as we prepare for big projects coming up throughout 2020.
JB: If you could work on any project you wanted right now, what would it be?
A: We have set our eyes on a lot of original content out there, including [QCP’s original property] King Blood (laughs), but we would to love to work on Boku No Hero Academia with Studio BONES or WITs Kabaneri Of the Iron Fortress.
Those are my personal takes but knowing Brian, that guy would shoot for anything involving MADHOUSE! (laughs)
QCP: I can relate… I’m a total MADHOUSE fanboy, too!
JB: Yoshiaki Kawajiri will never die! (laughs)
QCP: Speaking of which, do you remember the specific movie or tv series that started your passion for anime?
JB: For me it was Chodenji Machine Voltes V. I grew up watching that show, like most Filipino kids of my generation.
Dragonball Z and Ninja Scroll didn’t help either! (laughs) The pivotal series that made my animation dream burn brightest throughout the years will forever be Takehiko Inoue’s Slam Dunk.
QCP: Really? Interesting! Why Slam Dunk?
JB: Filipinos are madly in love with basketball and with Slam Dunk, I found myself relating to one character’s knee injury and the subsequent struggle to reconcile his past and injuries to get back to the game he loves. it really hit home. To see a creator be able to portray heartfelt emotions through a sports anime, that certainly lit a fire.
QCP: Sports manga are surprisingly underrated.
JB: Yeah, they are. My top two anime are Slam Dunk and Haikyuu and though they are quite popular, I think they should get more credit.
QCP: I have a particular fondness for Eyeshield 21. Yusuke Murata infuses every on-field image with more fighting spirit than a lot of more straightforward shonen battle manga.
JB: Yeah, “Eyeshield 21” is a damn good one. no wonder YM got the nod for “One Punch Man”, his gritty aesthetics really lends itself well to sakuga.
QCP: What are your thoughts about the current state of animation?
JB: Well, the prevalence of CG and 3D effects certainly gave rise to the possibility of higher qualities of animation… but there seems to be more of a focus on quantity over quality, on new and old IPs alike. While I miss the classic animation “feel”, there’s certainly some new titles worth watching for. You just have to choose well, I guess! (laugh)
