Demystifying Hypnosis: Clinical Hypnotherapy vs. Stage Hypnosis
Tumblr media
In today's world, it's not uncommon for individuals to approach hypnotherapy with a degree of skepticism or fear. Much of this apprehension stems from portrayals of hypnosis in media, where it is often sensationalized as a means of making individuals perform absurd tasks or behave in ways they normally wouldn't - like clucking like a chicken on stage. As a practicing clinical hypnotherapist, I'd like to shed some light on the topic and assure you that real-life hypnotherapy is nothing like what you've seen on TV or stage performances.
Firstly, let's differentiate between stage hypnosis and clinical hypnotherapy. Stage hypnosis is designed to entertain, often employing elements of suggestion and comedy to elicit behaviors that delight the audience. However, clinical hypnotherapy is a respected therapeutic tool used in a professional setting to help individuals overcome challenges or make positive changes in their lives.
The goal of clinical hypnotherapy is not to manipulate or embarrass, but to empower. In my practice, I always reassure my clients: you will only cluck like a chicken if that's what you genuinely want to do! The role of a clinical hypnotherapist is to guide you into a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus, where your mind is more open to positive suggestions that align with your goals and values.
One effective form of clinical hypnotherapy that may be less known is conversational hypnotherapy. Conversational hypnotherapy does not involve any swinging pendulums or commands to "sleep." Instead, it employs advanced communication techniques and language patterns to help guide you into a state of heightened suggestibility.
In a conversational hypnotherapy session, the hypnotherapist skillfully guides the conversation in a way that encourages you to enter a relaxed, focused state. The therapist then uses specific language patterns, metaphors, and stories to facilitate positive changes in your subconscious mind. This technique can be especially beneficial for individuals who may be a bit skeptical or nervous about traditional hypnosis, as it feels more like a regular conversation.
Clinical hypnotherapy, including conversational hypnotherapy, is a safe and effective approach that can address various issues, from managing stress and anxiety to improving self-esteem and overcoming addictive behaviors. It's important to remember that the power of hypnosis lies within you - the therapist merely facilitates the process.
So, if you're considering hypnotherapy, don't let misconceptions or media portrayals deter you. As a trained clinical hypnotherapist, my goal is to create a safe, respectful environment where you can harness the power of your own mind to create meaningful change in your life. If you're interested in learning more or have any concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here to help!

"Most people do not really want freedom, because freedom involves responsibility, and most people are frightened of responsibility."
Tumblr media
Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis, a clinical method for evaluating and treating pathologies seen as originating from conflicts in the psyche, through dialogue between patient and psychoanalyst, and the distinctive theory of mind and human agency derived from it.
Born: 6 May 1856, Příbor, Czechia
Died: 23 September 1939 (age 83 years), Hampstead, London
Cocaine Use in His Research: In the early stages of his career, Freud experimented with the therapeutic uses of cocaine. He initially believed it could be a cure for various ailments, including depression and anxiety. However, he later recognized its harmful effects and distanced himself from its promotion.
Freud's Jaw Prosthesis: Freud suffered from oral cancer in the later years of his life, leading to the removal of his jaw in 1923. He wore a prosthesis to cover the surgical site, which impacted his ability to speak clearly. Despite his health challenges, Freud continued his work and writing until his death in 1939.
Fears of Traveling: Freud had a fear of traveling and rarely left Vienna. This fear, known as agoraphobia, limited his international travel and kept him largely within the confines of his home city.
Freud's Daughter Anna Freud's Contribution: Anna Freud, Sigmund Freud's youngest daughter, became a prominent psychoanalyst in her own right. She made significant contributions to child psychoanalysis and continued her father's work. Anna Freud founded the Hampstead Child Therapy Course and Clinic in London.
Freud's Interest in Mythology: Freud had a deep interest in mythology and often used mythological references in his interpretations. He frequently drew parallels between psychoanalytic concepts and myths, exploring the symbolic meanings embedded in ancient stories and folklore. This interest is evident in his work, such as "Totem and Taboo" and "Moses and Monotheism."

Try hard you may, to save your thoughts from them.
Try to hide it, themind knows the hurt, from which no man or woman can hide.
Try fruitlessly to save yourself from the thought.
The unconscious mind will drag you down into a cascade of hurt every night no matter where you run.

dah gitu aja bacotnya

The unconscious is hidden, in the sense that we don't always take the time to stop, when a disturbing event happens. We don't have time to digest it But, it's not hidden, in the sense that you do not have access to it. Memories can be stored in different parts of the brain and can be retrieved through different means, including conscious recollection and unconscious processes. Access to the unconscious mind can be challenging because, by definition, it is outside of our conscious awareness. However, there are several methods that individuals can use to try to gain insight into their unconscious processes. So again, introspection is a tool, which involves looking inward and reflecting on one's own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By exploring our inner experiences, we may be able to identify patterns (Saṃsāra-Wheel), emotions, and memories that are not readily accessible to our conscious mind. Saṃsāra is a concept in Hinduism, Buddhism, and other Eastern religions that refers to the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth that all living beings go through. According to this concept, all living beings are trapped in the cycle of saṃsāra, which is characterized by suffering, impermanence, and constant change. The Wheel of Saṃsāra is a powerful visual representation of the concept of saṃsāra. The concept of Saṃsāra has its origins in the ancient Vedic scriptures of India, which are among the oldest religious texts in the world. The term "saṃsāra" comes from the Sanskrit word "saṃsarati," which means "to wander" or "to go through a series of changes." In the early Vedic period, the concept of saṃsāra was associated with the cycle of seasons and the movement of the sun and stars, but over time it came to be associated with the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth of living beings. The concept of saṃsāra was further developed in the Upanishads, a collection of philosophical texts that form the basis of Hinduism. According to the Upanishads, all living beings are trapped in the cycle of saṃsāra, and the ultimate goal of human life is to escape this cycle and achieve liberation or enlightenment. #UnconsciousMind #Introspection #SaṃsāraCycle #WheelOfSaṃsāra #VedicScriptures #Upanishads #Buddhism #Hinduism #Enlightenment #Liberation

Looking for natural options for relief from feeling anxious or depressed?
I had a client that came to see me that had been on 37 different medications over many years to try and get rid of their anxiety and depression.
They actually developed an intolerance to any medications the doctor prescribed, to the point they would end up in the emergency room with a severe reaction to the medicine.
They felt like I was their last hope. Two sessions in and they were a new person. No more meds, no more anxiety, no more depression.
They didn’t even want to use their 3rd session. It’s there if they want it, and I will be happy for them to use it for anything they want to work on.
But, I am even more happy that they have a new life. No longer a prisoner to those old thoughts and patterns that held them prisoner in their own mind.
Medicine can and does help for some, but it usually just treats the symptoms.
If you are curious about a more natural and holistic approach that gets to the root of the problem, we should talk.

Pendulum basics: How to use a pendulum for beginners Courtesy ~ Michelle Gruben How to use a pendulum. A pendulum is a powerful tool for accessing intuition. Pendulums and dowsing have been used by humans for thousands of years, and it would be difficult to name a magical tool that is more compact and versatile. Pendulums, which work from involuntary muscle movements, allow you to bypass your conscious mind and go directly to the unconscious or Higher Self, the source of boundless knowledge. Fairy pendulum Many people use pendulums to answer “yes” or “no” questions. Begin by holding the pendulum by its chain or cord in your non-dominant hand (your left, if you are right-handed). Let the pendulum bead (the business end) dangle over a tabletop or your lap. The first thing you’ll probably notice is that it’s very difficult to hold a pendulum completely still. The pendulum will seem to want to move on its own, swinging in circles and lines. It might seem kind of spooky at first, but it’s only the pendulum’s response to tiny, involuntary muscle movements in your hand and arm. The key to using a pendulum for divination is to learn what these movements mean for you. All pendulum's are different. Including the one's of mine I've shared. The yes, no, unclear, not wanting to answer is individual to all pendulums. Intentions are imperative. Your pendulum will choose you let your intuition guide you. #pendulum #pendulums #divination #divination #answer #insight #witchytips #tools #crystals #witchesofinstagram #quartz #intuition #spiritcontact #innerknowledge #intentions #unconsciousmind #psychic #knowledge #medium #psychicsofinstagram #manifestations #magick #mediumsofinstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CTZTCQCPF0P/?utm_medium=tumblr

7 Ways to Lower Stress! 7 Simple Tips to Reduce Your Stress Now
There are 7 ways to lower your stress level.  Some of these suggestions may seem obvious and others not. Even though we may know some of these ways we can benefit from being reminded and encouraged to incorporate them into our day-to-day life. Research is showing that 95% of our behavior is driven by our subconscious mind. What that means is, if you want to make real change and find the peace and happiness you are looking for you have to make change on a subconscious level.  The good news is there are some very effective and efficient ways for doing just that. Hi, I am Ron Schlegel, l was a psychotherapist for over 30 years and I now only use those methods in my practice. They are PSYCH-K, Body and Emotion Code, and Theta Healing.  I no longer practice as a traditional therapist. I am an intuitive and empath.  I offer a free 15-minute free consultation. Carl Jung’s Archetype
Carl Jung used to work under Sigmund Freud but then he later on wanted to show and tell his own research and understanding, he further stated different psyche’s of a human, mainly conscious and unconscious. Unconscious side was further explored which will be explained below:
Personal unconsciousness - It is when we like or dislike something on the basis of our personal experiences or understanding, for example if I like a girl passing by then it's my personal unconscious.
Collective unconsciousness - It is when your ancestor’s history, their over the years of evolution of liking and disliking anything reflects on you. For example, humans have been scared of certain animals even though they have never seen them upfront, or another one could be, being aware of fire and staying away from it, or being scared of spiders/scorpions. They all may account under collective unconscious.
