Ultimate Incest Tournament - Round 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda under the cut:
Debra/Dexter:
I'm sorry but you just HAVE to vote dexter/debra for the absolute insanity of it all. Debra not only unsuccessfully dates her brothers brother (serial killer btw), she also dates stand-in for her dead cop dad (gets murdered btw) before she, AFTER TWO THERAPY SESSIONS, comes to the conclusion that she was in love with her actual brother all along (also a serial killer btw). Similarly, dexter unsuccessfully dates a stand-in for his dead cop sister while simultaneously hallucinating her ghost. And the normal sibling award goes to.....
She made him stop killing, is there anything more romantic?
Debra killed to save Dexter even after she knew he was a serial killer!!
She's canonically in love with him and after she dies, her ghost haunts, torments and comforts him all at once
Even before the later more explicitly incesty seasons they're always really leaning into being siblings, calling each other brother and sister, but also SO touchy and coupley with each other
Dexter repeatedly hallucinates himself strapped naked to a table with Deb killing him by stabbing him (penetrating him hehe), which is how dexter kills his victims
They are in a love triangle made entirely of siblings can you say iconic...Deb gets engaged to Dexter's half-brother, Brian, but Brian is really just obsessed with Dexter and using Deb to get to him, and Dexter wants to go with Brian but knows he'll kill Deb and chooses Deb over Brian, killing Brian to save Deb
"She's the only person in the world who loves me. I think that's nice."
"You're all I've got." "Not such a great bargain for you."
"It's like I've always been looking for someone like Dexter, or someone who's the opposite of Dexter, as a way to avoid the fact that I'm in love with him."
"We'll always be together, right?" "Well it's not like we ever had a choice."
"Are you even capable of love?" "I love you."
Cathy/Chris:
I mean this is the OG. Children of incest, then being incestuous themself. A family sickness they can't seem to escape.
THE ORIGINAL INCEST COUPLE!!!!!!!! codependency, dubious love and consent, and of course we can't forget "Angel, saint, Devil's spawn, good or evil, you've got me pinned to the wall and labeled as yours until the day I die. And if you die first, then it won't be long before I follow.”...........!!!!
V. A. Andrews did not go through All That for you to deny her this
While facing insane child abuse and isolation (they are kept locked in an attic for 3 years) they first turn into parents for their two younger siblings, and then start turning to each other in face of the trauma. Their parents were also incestous so there's a nice family cycle too. In the later books in the series Chris and Cathy marry and have children themself :)

Round 3 is over! Let's review.
Easy Pete easily overcame Red Lucy.
Old Ben barely beat Ranger Ghost.
Harland began the fall of the corpse sweep by decisively taking out the Trash.
Swank bested early-round favorite Ten of Spades in a close call.
Fantastic kicked out Rotface, but the cool ghoul put up a good fight.
Trudy trumped the Garret Twins.
The corpse sweep collapsed again with Mr. RADical losing to Keely.
Mick & Ralph trounced Regis.
Crowd favorite Angela Williams beat Allen Marks so hard that he died again.
Daisy Whitman narrowly outplayed Ringo.
Beatrix Russell sent the Lonesome Drifter packing.
Despite early favoring for Emily Ortal, Siri wound up winning their bracket due to overwhelming vocal support.
In our first-ever Blazed bracket (thanks @mojave-musing!), money was spent to get 816 total votes that ultimately put No-Bark Noonan over Jessup & McMurphy, ending the corpse sweep completely.
Usanagi came out over Melissa Lewis, kicking out the last Great Khan alongside Jessup & McMurphy.
Calamity slammed Sarah Weintraub in the polls, winning easily.
Chris Haversam may be bald, but he beat Big Beard & Little Beard by a dramatic margin.
Thank you to everybody who's voted! We've really narrowed it down after three rounds and are about to enter the back half of the tournament: the Top 16! Stay tuned as I prepare the graphics and take a breather. We're closing in!
Tumblr media
Things are going to get closer than ever as we head into the major rounds, so why not tip the scales for your favorite by becoming a designated cheerleader? These submissions will matter more than ever as the tournament's heaviest hitters meet in the bracket, and underdogs get matched up with titans!

Most Beloved WWE Wrestler Tournament: Round 2 Statistics Dump
Followers: 251
Total Votes: 22,087 + 13,398 = 35,485
Times I realized I was not in-depth enough with my checking of wrestlers and forgot at least one which I only found out because I heard an old wrestler was being accused of murder and the name didn't sound familiar so I checked and it turns out he isn't included but have to remind myself that if no one mentioned him being missing from round 1, he probably isn't the most beloved anyway: once, thank god
Beloved By Gender:
We started with a split of 81.7% men to 18.3% women, which moved to 75% men to 25% women after the first round. After the second round of voting, our percentages are:
Tumblr media
Voting Trends:
During round 2, the voting totals ranged from a low of 360 votes per day to 554, with the average rising from 387 votes per day to 462 votes per day (Also I figured out how to add a date marking line how cool is that??)

Fun fact, Droite/Dextra happens to be the female character with the most solo wins in Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal
Now you can argue that this is her score and Rio has more wins by looking at them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But the wiki only show "on-screen" duels, however, in order to make it to the Tournament you must win and collect 5 heart pieces, and Droite manages to collect that in a single day and is able to participate
Tumblr media
She might have even had more duels if pieces didn't fit but ultimately she won 5 to make it to Tournament so even if it's implied/off-screen, that makes a total of 5 wins with no doubt - 4 solo wins (5 because apperently she was in the winning team with Yuma in ep104 duel?? But personally I think it's a loss since she was eliminated and I will never forgive Zexal writers that made that decision).
There is a lot of "impliance" of her off-screen (her winning 5 Heart Pieces and probably having more duels to have pieces that match + she didn't lose a single Life Point, unlike someone *cough* Chris *cough*, and I doubt nobody was on the same lane as her to challenge her to a duel) but at the end of the day it still amounts to not a big achievement cause Zexal writers only gave her weak duelists to beat, same way with Rio's on-screen wins (with the exception of Lotus but she wasn't any prominent character if we think about it).
Opposite of Rio, Droite was always given weak duelists to beat off-screen, but surprisingly almost every single one of her on screen duels were with prominent/strong characters (the protagonists (Yuma and Astral), one of the main characters (Kaito - although on the coaster with no result), one of Zexal 1 main villain (Tron), two Barian Emperors (Alito with Gauche and Durbe) although I kind appreciate that they cared about Droite enough to give her competent villains in where she made them all struggle except Alito (made Alito's plans fail to attack Yuma tho so he did struggle I guess, Droite was literally acting as Yuma's Plot Armor in that entire duel 😭😭), but that's the extent of it really and it's very very disappointing.
But yeah, here's the little fun fact, Rio has the most on-screen wins while Droite is the female character with the most solo wins in Zexal with hard impliance with the 5 Heart Pieces, although not too exciting sigh.

Disney Sequel Movies Final Results
Tumblr media
Congratulations to "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" for being our ultimate tournament winner!
We would also like to congratulate "The Lion King II: Simba's Pride" for winning the Animated Sequel Tournament!
Tumblr media
Both of these movies are fantastic in their own right but also masterfully continue their original story into the next phase of their worlds. Well chosen, voters.
Thank you to everyone who submitted movies, reblogged/commented/liked our posts, and voted in the poll(s). Without your engagement, we would've stopped a while ago.
Below are our final thoughts from this tournament:
First things first: we absolutely thought Cinderella 3 was going to win it all. It would be interesting to see how Cinderella 3 would do up against Dead Man's Chest. Would it be closer? or would Cinderella get crushed worse?
Speaking of Cinderella 3, the Animated finals was so close! The first half of the week C3 managed a small but consistent lead over LK2. Then LK2 fans were mobilized and suddenly LK2 was miles ahead! the last two-three days C3 fans managed close the gap. It was like there was a steady ratio of votes that had been disrupted by the mid-week spike. We firmly believe that had the poll been open for another day (even half-day) C3 would have taken the title back. Alas, LK2 won fair and deservedly by 17 votes.
On the other side, Thor: Ragnarok got further than we though considering the number of people who disliked it in the first round. We were pretty sure it would be taken out by Spiderman: No Way Home. But winning there pretty much guarenteed it would beat the DCOM film.
Speaking of DCOM, we had no idea High School Musical 2 was so popular! It's our favorite of the HSM group, but we were thinking the more recent Descendants would be more of a challenge.
Another close race was Pirates v Princess. There PotC won by just 18 votes. We had expected it to be a close one. This was also the poll we anticipated it most likely for people to bring the actors into the debate to persuade. As great as it would have been to see praise of Julie Andrews or Keira Knightly or Orlando Bloom or Chris Pine we want to thank everyone for not using us as a place to debate the personal actors involved in the films.
Going off on actors a moment, how many of you all know that George of the Jungle was recast for the sequel?
We would also like to highlight that the top four submissions we received were Cinderella 3 (top), The Lion King 2 (second), The Little Mermaid 2/The Lion King 1 1/2 (tied third).
(We had structured the bracket so those four would have the best chance to face off. But Kronk happened (in the best way))
In fact, Cinderella 3 was the first submitted, had 3 of the first 6 submissions, and was almost able to book end by almost being the last submission too. (C3 also had enough submitted propaganda that rounds 1 and 2 are different where everyone else is working with the same)
The most submitted Live Action sequel was The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.
As for a lesson learned: We know the way a ballot/poll/tournament is structured will inherently impact the results. We don't think we will set up the first round like this one's again when there's less than 64.
Now for the standard disclaimer: with the exception of 1 or 2, all the propaganda used was not created by ourselves. The words were pulled from the google form, the gifs are from the search here, the videos were from youtube.
Finally, for those of you anxiously awaiting everyone's favorite color:
Tumblr media
Half of y'all like the blues/purples! Blue is slightly more beloved on it's own
about 7% of you picked the wrong answer (black) but none of you picked the other wrong answer (white)!
We gotta acknowledge the call out for Teal specifically. It aint blue, it aint green!
But secretly, while we might say purple when asked, we agree with the 2.5% of y'all who can't decide.

WELCOME TO PLATONIC PALS PUNCHOUT!
If Saturday cartoons taught us anything it’s that The Power Of Friendship is the ultimate weapon that can defeat any obstacle! But can it defeat…other friendships!?
This tournament pits Dynamic Duo vs Dynamic Duo to see who has the Ultimate Friendship. They will do this by punching other pairs in the face winning polls!
We are currently running Round 1, Part 2. If you don't see your guys, don't worry: Part 3 is coming next, or check out the image for Part 1! Round 1 Part 2 is over! Congrats to the winners! Round 1 Part 0 will come after a break - I'll be out of town for a while, but I'll set it up as soon as I get home!
Tied polls will perform the "befriend your enemy" trope and team up! They need to be within 1% of each other to qualify as a tie.
[Part 1 matchups image] [Part 2 matchups image]
Links to polls:
Annie & Garcello vs Mollymauk Tealeaf & Yasha Nydoorin

Good luck to everyone!
👉Absolutely DO NOT comment things like “These characters are totally dating!” This is an aro-safe space & insisting that 2 characters someone sees as platonic are ~actually dating~ is cruel. If you genuinely believe someone cheated & submitted an unqualified duo, DM or send me an ask. (Also: characters who date after a long friendships are allowed if emphasis is on the friendship)
(Note: I will NOT be going out of my way to organize every single piece of propaganda, bc that is WAY too much work. However, I will reblog all propaganda that comes to my attention, & I will answer all propaganda asks.)
Shameless self-plug: if you like my me, please check out my [YouTube channel] where I do art & science education, or my [Warriors/art tumblr]. You can also donate to [my ko-fi] to help me afford my meds & food. Thank you!!

Ultimate Incest Tournament - Round 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda under the cut:
Gerard/Mikey:
Vocalist and bassist respectively of my chemical romance. they are insanely codependent (describing themselves as the same person just different heights etc). gerard has also licked mikeys nipple onstage. good times
Gerard is decidedly super abnormal about mikey. he has written many songs about him that are always adjacent to straight up love songs. he has also been explicitly sexual with him (giving him a pantomime handjob, caressing his chest, saying he looks like a hooker etc etc) while also constantly babying him. theyre codependent and they finish each others sentences and theyre in ickydisgusting brotherlove❤️❤️❤️❤️
Grew up together as the outsiders in their New Jersey town and spent their teenhoods together in a musty basement. Mikey learned to walk by running after Gerard and face-planting. Gerard drew comics for Mikey and told him stories. They went to a Smashing Pumpkins concert together and decided that being in a band is what they wanted out of life. Mikey learned the bass because Gerard was in bands and he wanted to join. Gerard called up Mikey after witnessing 9/11 and told him they're gonna start a band. Everything they do is together, they love each other. And isn't it so much fun to turn that incest?
Mikey Way wrote a comic where the main character, who looks like him from the black parade era, gets a woman pregnant. Which isn't incestuous on its own, but she looks like the female version of Gerard Way from the black parade era. Love is love or something

Most Beloved WWE Wrestlers Tournament: Round 4 Statistics Dump
Followers: 266
Total Votes: 22,087 + 13,398 + 8,109 + 4,768 = 48,362
Number of times I had to force my dad to accept the fact that it's no longer the 80s and just because he enjoyed a wrestler's work during his childhood, it doesn't mean they're still the most beloved: 3, and he's still bitter
Beloved By Gender:
Our ratio is keeping pretty steady. There was a change of 2% between rounds 3 and 4 in favor of the female wrestlers.
Tumblr media
Voting Trends:
Round 4 had a low vote count day of 534 and the highest count day of 747, making the average 636.9 votes per day (discounting final day), more than extra 80 votes per day beyond Round 3’s average of 550.8
(Keep in mind, number of brackets change on the final day)
Tumblr media
Public Opinion:
There's fewer than 20 wrestlers left in this tournament who had successful WWE careers before the 2000s. This tournament would make Cornette's face melt off

The AJ Styles Phenomenon:
I don't know if this is just an incredible coincidence, but for the final 3 rounds, AJ Styles has earned exactly 46 votes. In Round 2, it was 46/50 against Raymond Rougeau. In Round 3, 46/56 against D'Lo Brown. In Round 4, 46/69 against Kane. Based on the data I've seen, he is the only wrestler this has happened to. A few have had the same number of votes twice in a row, but never thrice.
Which begs the question: are there exactly 46 tumblr users who are fans of AJ Styles?
