i made a cross a line live blog post where i rewatched the live and made a bullet point each time i was dYInG needless to say if i posted that it would probably be almost as long as the classically infamous ‘do you love the colours of the sky’ post lol so i limited myself to ONE (☝️) point about each section:

Persona 5 IRL Stuff

The entry and exit to each floor of Mementos is based on the appearance of train stations, and the stamps you collect for Jose are seemingly the game's version of train stamps lol.

I'm not sure if this is still true, but train stamps were introduced to me as something that smaller kids will collect when they travel with their families, so it makes sense to me that the NPC associated with them is also a kid. As an adult tourist, I've never bothered with train stamps cause you really have to go out of your way to find some of them and when I'm at a train station my ass is trying to go somewhere lol. I suppose that even in real life, some of those stamp locations must feel like they're random spawns.

I have absolutely bothered with red shrine seals, though. Maybe Persona 6 will have the protagonist collecting those.

Ryuji takes you to a ramen restaurant in Ogikubo. Based on it being in Ogikubo and the appearance of the restaurant in-game, it's modeled after Marufuku Chinese Noodles near Ogikubo Station. The sign in-game just says "Chinese Noodles" without the store name. I'm not sure if this is a famous restaurant or maybe it's just one that Atlus employees like to eat at lol.

Ryuji also takes you to a monjayaki restaurant in Tsukishima during his Confidant. You go to Tsukishima specifically because Tsukishima has a line of restaurants called Monja Street that specializes in, you guessed it, monjayaki.

Akechi introduces you to a jazz bar in Kichijoji called Jazz Jin. The outside appearance seems to be based on Some Time which is also located in Kichijoji. Only the outside resembles what's in-game, though. The inside is different.

Yongenjaya isn't a real place in Tokyo, but it seems to be a renamed version of Sangenjaya - san means 3, yon means 4. I've not been to Sangenjaya, though I've heard that details like the laundromat, even down to the vending machine, looks nearly the same as it does in-game. (If you are interested in doing Persona 5 tourism around Tokyo, I've heard that the Sangenjaya locals do not appreciate Persona 5 tourism or related loitering in this area.)

Shibuya Station is pretty much accurate with how it is IRL. The green train car that you visit Tora at has been moved since the game came out, but the dog statue of Hachiko (or Buchiko as its known in game) is there, the 1000 stairs you climb to get to the Ginza Line, etc, is also all accurate.

When you touch base with Ohya, you unlock Shinjuku. The movie theater in-game is called Cult 9, which is based on an actual movie theater in Shinjuku called Wald 9. The other areas in Shinjuku seem to be a condensed version of Kabukicho (or Kamurocho, if you've played Like a Dragon).

Futaba wants to go shopping in Akihabara and Nakano. Akihabara you've probably already heard about as Nerd Haven. She also talks about visiting Nakano, likely to go shopping at Nakano Broadway which is home to a bunch of Mandarake 2nd hand anime/etc goods stores.

The "huge pancake" that Morgana was talking about is how Tokyo Dome looks from the outside. The pancakes he's comparing it to are the thicc souffle-style fluffy jiggly pancakes that you can get at various restaurants. (Also probably what Akechi thinks of when he hears delicious pancakes lol.)

The other areas and things, I'm really not sure there's much to say about them.

Ann takes you to Harajuku cause she wanted to eat sweets (this is really relatable btw)

Meiji jingu is also real and located near Harajuku

The buffet Ann takes the guys to is the Marble Lounge, but I believe it's since been remodeled

There's multiple museums in Ueno

There's a Catholic church in west Kanda but afaik the inside looks different than in-game

Inokashira Park is real and has swan boats and stuff

Ikebukuro's planetarium is in Sunshine City Mall

Chinatown is real but it's much further than the map makes you think (it's in Yokohama)

Odaiba Seaside Park is another real location

Miura Beach is also real, way down south past Yokohama

Jimbocho is indeed where you'd go to buy books

It was late into the evening when a certain nun in Ueno received a gift. Inside the gift were two items the first was an edible fruit arrangement and the other item was a beautiful cherry blossom bonzai.

“Sorry if this is a bit too forward but Happy Valentine’s Day Shisuta-san. Just a thanks for everything you’ve done for me. I hope you enjoy them.”

Shisuta gasped, covering her mouth as she looked at the gifts her good friend, Ayumu had bequeathed her. She smiled at the fruit arrangement and how it was arranged. She promised herself she'd make this into a lovely fruit salad for lunch tomorrow. Placing it in her refrigerator, she then turned her attention to the bonsai tree, and how smiled as the smell from the flowers filled the air. Looking at it reminded her that she still had much work to do when it came to pruning her own bonsai trees.

...Speaking of which, that gave her an excellent idea on how to reciprocate Ayumu...

Several hours later...

"Daddy, daddy!"

While he was busy cooking for himself and his daughter, Ayumu looked at his daughter came rushing up to him, excited.

"Yes, what is it, sweetheart?"

"Miss Shisuta sent you some gifts!"

Hearing of the nun's name made Ayumu inhale sharply, especially upon hearing that she had sent something. Following his daughter to the doorway to their house, he looked as on the doorstep were two gifts placed in boxes. Picking them up, he brought them inside in the living room and opened them, his daughter watching him. His eyes grew wide at what was inside both.

Inside the first was a bonsai tree, similar to the one that Ayumu had sent her. The only difference was Shisuta's was covered in cherry blossoms, which wasn't a surprise considering she lived in the city of Ueno, which was known for their cherry blossom trees. What's more, the tree also had beautiful red and gold theme, befitting of Valentine's Day.

The second gift featured a small yet delicious and colorful brownie cake that featured a small monk-like character and a message that said, 'Happy Valentine's Day', which was addressed to him. Inside the box was a message, also addressed to him, which read:

'There aren't enough words that I can say that I can express myself with. So, instead I will simply speak a verse from 1 Corinthians 16:14, which reads:

"Let all that you do be done with love."

Happy Valentine's Day to you, Ayumu-san.

P.S. Say hello to Sara-chan for me.'

A knock was heard on Kunio's residence, making the young man in question cease what he was doing and answer the door. As he opened the front door, he was surprised to find the Catholic nun, Shisuta Heisha, behind it. In her hands was a glass filled with white daises.

Seeing the young exiled Chōten heir, the nun gave a bow of her head.

"Good evening, Chōten-san," Shisuta spoke. "I apologize for visiting so late, but I wanted to deliver this to Kurome-san before the day was over to celebrate his birthday. I hope they enjoy them. I chose daises since they are a sign of new beginnings and rebirth. I think he experienced those when he met you and they two of you became one. I hope they are too his liking."

With a bow of her head once more, she placed the large vase in Kunio's hands.

"I hope he is enjoying his birthday. Please tell him I hope to see him again Ueno sometime soon. Thank you for your time, and I hope you both have a blessed rest of your day and night."

Kunio smiled at the nun-"thank you so much Heisha-san,i will to tell him"-he said and Shisuta nodded walked away

He was to Nastume's room where he did things like spells and ritual and the readheaded looked the flowers

"and it darling?"-he asked and Kunio told him about Shisuta's gift

Nastume smiled touching the flowers and Kunio felt a bit of his emocions throught his bond (Kunio don't know how type of ritual or spell Natsume used on his wedding but he don't will ask,the bond beetwen talked alone)

"i need remeber give her a good gift in her birthday"-Natsume said smiling touching the flowers and feelings its aura,so alive sweet and pure

Szóval ma megint kifejezetten szentélylátogató napot tartottam. Az első hely a Yushima Tenmangu szentély volt, ahol több másik szentélyhez hasonlóan ahol már Oszakában és Kiotóban is jártam, Sugawara no Michizane (Tenjin) Kamija lakik. A szentély leginkább a diákok körében népszerű, akik sikeres vizsgákért szoktak itt imádkozni. Itt egész sokan voltak ezen a szép szombat délelőttön, de meglepő módon magamon kívül kizárólag csak japánokat láttam. Egy nagyon szép, rendezett szentély, gyönyörű parkkal és a világ legjóságosabb arcú bikaszobrával. A Sugawara no Michizane-nek szentelt szentélyekben egyébként azért találhatók meg a bikaszobrok, mert a legenda szerint a költőt halála után egy ökrösszekér húzta a hintót. A bika azonban egy helyen hirtelen megállt, és nem volt hajlandó továbbmenni. Sugawara no Michizane-t később ezen a helyen, Fukoukában temették el, ahol később a Dazaifu Tenmangu szentélyt emelték.

A következő két szentély a Gojoten Jinja és a Hanazono Inari Jinja volt, amelyek gyakorlatilag egy területen találhatók az Ueno Parkban. A Gojoten Jinja három Kamija Okuninushi, Sukunabikona, és Sugawara no Michizane, itt tehát főként betegségekből való felgyógyulásért és sikeres vizsgákért imádkoznak a látogatók. A Hanazono Inari Jinja pedig egy gyönyör kis Inari szentély, sok karmazsinvörös toriival. Mindkét szentély nagyon kellemes és nyugodt hangulatú, a sok turista ellenére is. Így a cseresznyevirágzás idején pedig különösen gyönyörűek.

Végül pedig a Kanda-Myojin szentélyban voltam, ami egy minden szempontból lenyűgöző hely. Egyrészt építészetileg, másrészt az 1300 éves múltja miatt, végül pedig azért, mert itt láttam először omamori automatát. Ez a szentély egyébként arról is híres, hogy mivel a tech-világ egyik középpontjában, Akihabarában található, így akár az elektronikai cikkeink védelme érdekébe is vásárolhatunk itt omamorit.

Egyébként édesanyám gyakran mondogatta nekem fiatalkoromban, hogy "hülye vagy, fiam", amit egy ideje nem mondott, mert szerintem azt hiszi, hogy így 30 felett már nem vagyok annyira hülye, de hát az a helyzet, hogy hazafelé betévedtem egy bolhapiacra az Ueno Parkban, ahol a napi (vagy inkább a heti) büdzsém maradékát két dologra verhettem el: az egyik egy Yamato Transport kisautó, a másik pedig az olcsó kimonóárus portékája volt. Szóval hát az a helyzet, hogy kicsit fáj a szívem a kisautó miatt, de belegondoltam, hogy csak 35 éves leszek idén, úgyhogy hirtelen felindulásból vettem egy haorit, ami amúgy szerintem kurva jól néz ki, de így igazából ötletem nincs, hogy mikor és hová tudnám én ezt felvenni, pláne, hogy egy rendes kimono szetthez most akkor minimum egy olcsó nagagit is szereznem kellene obival meg ilyenekkel. DE amúgy annyira kényelmes anyaga van, hogy beszarsz.

Igen, persze, nyilván tudom, hogy nem így kell hordani, csak úgy felkaptam mutatóba a pólóra és a mackóalsóra, kövezzetek meg. Mazsom-san sokkal elegánsabb nálam.

Ja, amúgy ez a tízezredik posztom.
