speaking of lyney,,,,i saw somewhere, idk if its canon or not, but i read that lyney is canonically weak. not weak as in "cannot fight", more like, "brains over brawn" type of weak. his main strength comes from his big fat brain and i think thats hot (lyney as brains, thawed!mc as brawns. an unstoppable duo if i do say so myself)
Im just gonna say, arlecchino DID NOT MISS❗❗ when she chose lyney as the successor. bc think about it, the house's main objective is to adopt kids to make them into soldiers(or other stuff). so why are the children not doing anything about it? because they are blinded by father's "love". they've been provided a home and a family that they can love, ofc theyre going to do whatever they can to repay her kindness. i say "blinded by love" bc its most probably not genuine. arlecchino will only do things if it benefits her. so, in short, the children are being decieved into loyalty and submission.
and what is one of lyney's biggest/ most prominent trait? being able to decieve others very easily. he's a magician ffs😭😭 (this is probably why thawed!mc is hesitant/ doesnt believe him whenever he does something bc she knows that its probably not genuine. and bc of this, they're both miserable.💀)
like, he may not be physically strong, but that brain and charisma can bring you to your end in a snap. and that hot.

relatable is absolutely nikolai. I used to say dazai because of the whole double-personality, depressed but goofy bla bla bla thing (i'm not like other girlzzz😋😋), but as I mentioned, I feel like they're opposites in their emotions. I am an emotional person; I feel things strongly and get irritated at my emotions. Both I and Nikolai fall on the "understands what is right and wrong but doesn't understand right and wrong" spectrum and I crave detachement from reality because I am detached from reality. Plus I would definitely develop a strong love/hate feeling towards anyone who understood me as well as I understand me. Close second is Ranpo but we do not need to get into that :D
I have no mental illnesses officially but honestly I can't say I think I have OCD. Don Quixote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes, hands down. I've read it in three languages multiple times each, in terms of fiction there are so many nice books I've read but the thing about Don Quixote is that you get it all in one. The book is long and it's got romance action philosophy humour you name it. It's from like Shakespearean era so it has some funky vocabulary but it's so so good. Plot in a nutshell is that a man spends so much time reading chivalry novels that he becomes delusional and thinks that he IS a knight and goes on adventures which have their own subplots. (lowkey I think - I'M CONVINCED - that he's the one whose ability is the Book™️ in bsd bc it makes sense this is a theory of mine that I refuse to not believe) ANYWAYS GO READ IT RN 👹👹👹

you turned to the other side, expecting to feel the comforting warmth of your boyfriend at your side. just before you were greeted by an icy morning cold.
reluctantly, and slightly surprised, you opened your eyes to find that, instead of seeing his still beautiful morning face, you saw only a void.
you looked at the alarm clock on your bedside table, it was far too early for him to have left.
with a sigh, you grabbed your slippers and dressing gown, and left your warm bed to find a cold you wished you hadn't met so soon.
as you left your room, you ran into shoto in your small kitchen, sipping coffee. a smile slowly came to light up your tired face.
« you're up early today. » you say by way of a greeting.
with slow steps, you place a tender kiss on his cheek. nevertheless, what made you raise your eyebrows was the fact that he was avoiding you. since when was the list of ingredients in the packet of biscuits so interesting?
he greeted you anyway, in a low, monotonous and slightly broken voice.
« what's going on ? »
alerted by his sadness, you took his face in your hands in a matter of seconds. your piercing eyes stared intently at him, ready to relieve his pain whatever it was.
his face was red from crying, and you still had traces of it on his rosy cheeks. he tried to pull away, with a gentle but strong gesture. worried, you bit your upper lip to keep from crying back. it was rare to see him in this state, being usually stoic. few things could put him in such a state.
« nothing, i just had a bad dream. »
your hand remained on his cheek, and you gently forced him to look at you. with a gentle gesture, your other free hand came to meet his, a certain warmth came to warm you despite the morning cold.
« i'm listening baby. »
a long sigh escaped his lips.
« it's not worth it, y/n, just ridiculous. »
you frowned slightly.
« shoto, I'm worried. »
a faint smile stretched his lips slightly. and without you expecting it, he laid his head on your neck. his warm breath made you shiver.
« you abandoned me from one day to the next. without a word, without any explanation. in fact, you left me for another man. and that's how i understood that i wasn't good enough for you.
i know i'm not the ideal man, i'm quite atypical and i don't always show my love for you like other boyfriends do. and sometimes i wonder how a woman as fabulous as you can be with me. »
he stopped.

as he spoke, you could feel his tears rolling down your chest.

your hand came to meet his hair, which you gently stroked. a tear of your own this time came down your face too. you were kind of relieved that it wasn't that bad, although seeing him in that state kind of freaked you out.

you didn't hear him crying anymore. instead, a comforting silence enveloped you both now.

a few minutes later, you heard the door slam and your boyfriend drop his stuff in front of the entrance. you expected him to come up behind you to give you a long, warm kiss. well, he didn't and probably won't because you heard him lock himself in your room.
you raised an eyebrow. something was wrong.
with a quick step, and slightly apprehensive, you joined him, and came upon a tamaki curled up in a ball in your bed.
you sat down next to him, putting your hand gently on his shoulder.

you flinch slightly at the tone of his voice. hard and cold it was. which was a big change from his usually soft and warm voice.
the high school amajiki had grown up, matured. you were able to be by his side as he evolved, he was now a confident and strong man. although old habits die hard

he finally met your gaze, and it didn't match his tone. full of melancholy, his eyes were bright. he had been crying.
your expression, which at first was slightly annoyed, became more and more panicked. your hands automatically came to meet his, but they refused to meet them.
« tell me what the fuck is wrong ! »
« i - i don't know if it's a good idea for us to get married. »
you swallowed hard. the words stuck in your throat, you didn't understand what had just happened.
« w-why ? » you asked silently.
« i'm not good enough for you, you deserve better. let's stop kidding ourselves. »
an unpleasant heat came over your face, it was anger rising.
how could he know that you deserved better ? didn't your unconditional love for him count for anything ?
« why- why are you saying all this now ? »
it wasn't like him. he had a tendency to doubt himself sometimes, but he had never doubted your love for each other.
« isaw that you had cheated on me. in a dream, of course. you seemed happy with this man. he was everything i wasn't. perfect. i don't want you to waste your time with me, i don't want you to make the mistake of your life by getting engaged to me... i'm just a waste of time, well i've always been anyway. you must think i'm exaggerating and being ridiculous... i probably am... »
he lowered his head as he spoke, now refusing to look you in the eye. it was as if he were eighteen again, the shy and anxious teenager who refused to make eye contact with anyone when he was embarrassed.
a slight gasp escaped your lips.
your hands finally met his, you smiled softly when he didn't try to pull away. you let the silence settle comfortably between you, letting the gestures express your thoughts.
your soft gestures that had already comforted him many times in the hardest moments as well as in the most joyful ones. the same ones that had always succeeded in making him feel loved and safe in your fusional relationship.
he relaxed little by little in your arms, letting all his doubts fly away with this tension that paralyzed his muscles.
you finally spoke up when you were in a fairly comfortable position, both in each other's arms.

When giving it thought, Feitan’s mind didn’t actually acknowledge the dangers within joining. He thought about the fact that you being apart of the Troupe means that all of the other members are going to find out that he's actually dating someone.
- Feitan doesn’t often like to disclose his personal or social life to the Troupe, and if he does, it’s to a very select few. He didn’t think there was a need to talk about it, and plus, if Feitan told the others that he had a lover, he’d only expect to be bombarded with non-stop questions and comments about it. So to sum it all up, almost none of them knew that Feitan was dating someone.
- But apart from that, he’s a little surprised that you’re actually interested in joining. At first, he’ll ask you some questions as to what made you want to think about this , just to get his curiosity out of the way.
- Though he’s not going to go in depth about the dangers of being in the Phantom Troupe, Feitan will still lamely tell you that there could be a risk of something happening to you. He’s seen it before, and prefers to not see in you injured.
- Other than warning you about the obvious, Feitan wouldn’t be that reluctant in you joining. He does dread the teasing that’s going to come in the future from some of the others learning about the two of you, but that’s something that he can endure. Besides, Feitan will definitely enjoy being able to see you more on his missions.
Phinks
- Just like Feitan, there was a look of surprise on Phinks’ face when you first asked to join. The first thing he’s curious to know is why? He’ll jokingly ask you if the reason for wanting to join is because he’s in it 💀 After you give Phinks your actual reasonings, then’ll he will take in that information and try to give you an honest response.
- Phinks isn’t for nor against you joining. He likes the idea of you guys being around each other more, and since you guys are in a relationship, you and him will obviously work great together! Not only that, but Phinks can finallyyy prove to Feitan and Shalnark that he IS dating someone.
- But even with all that, he still can’t shake off that feeling of doubt and hesitation in the back of his mind. Phinks would try and ease this feeling by remembering how you’re a skilled nen user after all. He’s seen how you use your ability, and its no secret to Phinks that you’re pretty powerful!!
- If you’re still adamant about joining, then he’ll go along and recommend you to, Chrollo. When Phinks is talking to Chrollo, he can’t help but to tryyyy and kiss up to him so that you can join. He might even stretch someeee information given about you to make yourself sound cooler...
Shalnark
- When you first tell him that you wanted to join the troupe, he didn’t take it seriously at first. All Shalnark did was brush it off with a smile, and brushed it off like you were telling a joke. But once that he saw the serious look on your face, it immediately hit him that you weren’t playing around.
- Shalnark kind of has a mixed reaction. For one thing, he’s excited! Having someone around by his side on missions is something he’ll definitely look forward to. On the other hand, he’s is prettyyy skeptical on you joining.
- Being in the Troupe for so long, he’s knows for a fact that it gets dangerous. I mean, Shalnark’s seen other members get injured badly (and other worse things), he knows for a fact that people are hunting down their heads, and he knows very well that the Troupe has made a LOT of enemies along the way.
- Yes, shalnark is very confident in your nen and you protecting yourself, but being that you mean so much to him, the LAST thing he wants is something bad happening to you. He’ll definitely give whatever knowledge that he can to tell you everything you’d probably experience by being apart of the Phantom Troupe. Shalnark wouldn’t want to leave you in the dark about anything, and wants to know if you’re still willing to join knowing everything he’s told you.
- If this information doesn’t change your opinion about wanting to join, Shalnark will start to ease and up look at the brighter side. For starters, you can finally meet the troupe!! Do you know how many times Shal has bragged about you?? Sometimes, the other troupe members groan whenever he brings you up again, he just talks about you THAT much (though, people like Pakunoda are still willing to listen to his stories). So with that, it would be nice for them to FINALLY see who Shalnark’s been talking about all those times.
