I hear u want to hear about WEIRD ANIMALS yes?

Well have i got a WEIRD ANIMAL for you!!

(i know u know about this cause. Its a bird. And also was in the bracket if i remember right (to be fair ive been just a TAD confused as to wich bird poll blog this is ever since u changed ur url lol), but i dunno maybe i can give u some new info! And maybe not, but hopefylly you'll put up with me anyway!)

VULTURE!!!!!!

Anyway this is my FAVORITE. BIRD. And more people need to talk about her!!!!

So first of all there's the main thing they're known for - being the ONLY known vertabrate whose diet consists mainly (between 70 and 90 PERCENT!!!!!!) of BONE!!!!!!

ALSO however! This bird is POSSIBLE evidence of non-human animal using COSMETICS!!!! Y'see, they are naturally mostly white in coloration, but they roll in iron-rich mud and dust, thus dyeing their feathers a rich red color! Interestingly, Bearded Vultures, a primarily solitary and somewhat territorial animal, seem to be more respectful of and submissive to others of their species who have more red to their feathers. Though it is worth noting, as these birds live in very high altitudes, that we havent been able to observe them in the wild enough to prove the connection between dyed hue and perceived dominance.

Also i seem to remember in some poll (genuinely cant remember if it was urs or not) the Bearded Vulture was beat by a bird whose main notable trait was commiting fratricide - something that the Bearded Vulture ALSO does! The mother lays two eggs, one egg hatches about a week before the other, and upon the second egg hatching one chick (almost always the older one) kills and eats the other. I dont usually share that bit cause it would turn a lot of folks off from my Favorite Bird Ever but it really bothered me how that poll went down lol (lighthearted) (not actually mad)

Anyway, uuuuhhhh i think thats it -

-WAIT!!!!! I just remembered something else about them!!!!!

So they eat bones right? And some bones are to big to swallow yeah? So, like any strong-legged bird would, they pick up the too-big bones, fly way up high, and then drop them on rocks to break them into edible peices.

Seems pretty normal yeah?

Well (allegedly) they also do that to turtles/turtles to access the meat on rare occasion.

Still not that weird? I completely agree!

However, (allegedly) a Bearded Vulture once killed a greek playwright by the name of Aeschylus by mistaking his bald head for a rock and dropping a tortoise on it from a great height!

Anyway yeah thats all the main things

Except you know, for their apearance

(Why are their EYES like that? Ive tried to look it up but cant find anything. Some of the PRETTIEST (round-pupiled) eyes in the animal kingdom tho, no question)

Anyways yeah, sorry if this is all stuff u already knew, but, uh. YEAH!!!

I keep thinking of things I could add on but you’ve pretty much said it all! I guess I could say that the bearded vulture is a card in Inscryption? The power is equal to one half of the player’s bones. I like that little detail.

Music Teacher

MOVIE NOWHERE BOY COUPLE: PAUL X READER RATING: FLIRTY

I had a crush.

No if, no buts, no never minds, I had a crush and there seemed to be no stopping it.

And who did I have this crush on?

Paul. My next-door neighbour boy.

He was a year older then me, but we had always been fairly good friends living next door to each it was sort of unavoidable.

He had always had a love for music and so did I, often I would hear him playing his guitar though the wall of his bedroom and mine as we shared a wall.

I've had a crush for a while now,

I never even dreamed he would reciprocate.

But I had some music theory stuff for my classes so I had asked for his help, and it became very much like he was my music teacher.

I held my books close as I knocked on the wooden front door, and soon enough it opened

"Ohh hey y/n, go on up I'll get you a cup of tea" He says so I nodded and walked the path I knew so well up his stairs and into his bedroom, I stood around a little nervous blushing at his unmade bed he came up and put our cups of tea on his dresser before he fixed the bed and sat down "You sitting?" He asks patting beside him I nodded and sat with him as he got his guitar giving it a strum and a little tune twist "where were we?" He asks

"Uhh here" I said opening my books to where we were last week

"Course," He says so we continued on with things where we had left off and after a while he smiled at me "did you wanna try?"

"Ohh no, I'll stick to the theory Paul"

"Come on just a little try" He says giving me his guitar I was nervous but took it a little unsure "put your fingers on the strings" He says so I did it "No, no on the metal spokes under the strings,"

"so not the strings?"

"no the strings where the little lines are okay?" He laughs "This one here, then this one here" He says moving my fingers for me I tried not to blush feeling him touching my hand "and give it a go" He says so I did my best to strum but it hurt my fingers

"Oww" I whined

"Awww it's okay," He says kissing my hand and taking the guitar back "Guess we'll stick to theory for now"

"Yeah stick to the theory" I blushed

I sat a while looking at him as he was explaining something,

sat on his bed in his jeans and button down, holding his guitars curves as he plaid it so gently and delicately watching his fingers work, His tounge slightly out of his mouth, his eyes flicking between the guitar and me, his hair perfectly flicked, slightly bouncing when he moved

"Are you listening to me?"

"Ohh uhhhh yes"

"what did I just say?"

"uuuuhhhh......... umm... words"

"words?"

"you did say words"

"I did, that's true I did say words, I always say words" he laughs "Have you had enough lesson for today?"

"No, no I'm sorry Paul, It's not that I was board or I didn't want to listen, its just... I got distracted that's all" I said

"It's alright y/n." He says putting his guitar away "if you want to have a break you just have to say"

"sorry"

"it's alright darling" He said taking my hand and giving it a kiss making me blush hard "did you want a break?"

"I'd like that"

"Are you sure you want music lessons?"

"Of course I do"

"You just.. never seem to excited to hold a guitar or so anything musical?"

"sorry" I blushed "I just... I like the theory better, and I like listening to you explaining it, I like being here with you"

"That's sweet" He smiled giving my hand a kiss "You're such a sweet little thing"

"Paul... I need to tell you something"

"What is it?"

"I uhh... I really like our music lessons"

"Aww yeah I like our lessons too" He smiled

"And I uhh I like our lessons a lot because I like spending time with you"

"I like spending time with you too y/n"

"Paul I uhh... I really like you"

"You do?"

"I do" I blushed trying to avoid his eyes But he moved his hand to my chin and moved my face to see his eyes

"I do too"

"w-what?"

"I really like you to"

"You do?"

"I do, Very much." he says smiling widely at me, he moved forward and gently pressed his lips against my own I slowly kissed back and held his hand tightly he held my hand tightly too his other hand stroking my cheek as we slowly moved our lips against each other gently and softly kissing, we continuing kissing getting deeper and deeper until he began to push me a little so I happily let him push me down on his bed, I blushed hard as I laid on his bed my head against his pillow his body laid over me his knee between my legs, his hands hadn't moved, until he pulled back sitting up straight so I sat up a little leaning on my elbows as I sat up

"what's wrong Paul?"

He smirked looking at me laid on his bed his hand moved a little holding my wrist a little "Nothing, nothing at all my darling" He smiled kissing me...
