The recording facility in Notting Hill houses six studios and a suite of purpose-built offices. It had been owned until now by musician and producer Trevor Horn.

Under Horn’s stewardship, Sarm Studios has played host to artists including Paul McCartney, Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Madonna, One Direction, Stormzy, Lana Del Rey, Paolo Nutini, Charli XCX, Mark Ronson and Florence & The Machine.

With the purchase completed, the complex will undergo refurbishment before becoming “a fundamental part of the Three Six Zero ecosystem”, according to a statement.

“The purchase represents a significant move by Three Six Zero to create a central hub in London, strengthening their UK foundations and providing a valuable stepping stone to Europe,” said the company.

The facilities will be readily available to all Three Six Zero clients and partners, while the Sarm Studios complex will also serve as the new base for Three Six Zero Recordings.

“Sarm Studios has long been an integral fixture of London’s music landscape, and we’re thrilled to be able to make it a part of the expanding Three Six Zero community,” said Mark Gillespie, CEO & founder, Three Six Zero.

Trevor Horn said: “I would like to wish Three Six Zero all the best in their new home.”

“Inspired and excited that Three Six Zero Recordings’ first UK base is going to be in such an iconic spot that, together with the rest of the TSZ family, we intend to make a vital creative hub in West London to carry on Trevor Horn’s legacy,” said Pete Tong, president, Three Six Zero Recordings.

Three Six Zero, is an independent management and entertainment partnership at the forefront of the music, film, television, and digital content landscape. With offices in Los Angeles, Miami, and London, the company represents global talent including Calvin Harris, Willow, Majid Jordan, Bloodpop, The Streets and Jabari Banks.

Tong previously worked as A&R director for London Records / FFRR and is a founding partner of The International Music Summit (IMS) in Ibiza.

First story - out of many, probably.

My maternal grandma is who i usually call Babushkam, I'm closer with her (for one because she's living with us lol, and becasue she's more open to talk about things...in general.) She's the one who's past i know in more depht because she has fond memories from her childhood/youth and family.

One of her dearest memory, is connected to her first, real job- she did. She was 15-16, her parents allowed and encouraged her to find a paying job beside her studies, so she did.

First, my great-grandpa (my dédi) was friends with the local lord's carter. And when my Babushka came home from Busapest from the nurse school my dédi said she needs to find a job untill her stiduies won't continue. My dédi was a farmer, the family had tobacco fields so when the harvest came, they needed someone who can carry away the plants. That carter wasn't abailable, he was working for others, so he suggested my Babushka's family to submit a request to the TSZ/ Termelő Szövetkezet/ producer cooperative (where all the goods went, from the farmers to the government) to lend them a carrige with a man, for transport.

Yes...well they gave them only a carrige and a cart horse without man to ride it lol. So they had a carrige now, but no man to handle it. And that was when Mr. Vászoly (the carter) was brought in the story. He suggested my grandmother to be her family's carter, she had just came home, and has no job, her payment wouldn't be devided, as the family would have needed to pay the carter for their work, they can keep more money with thisbopption.

And my Babushka went with it. When Vászoly had some time (before the harvests) my Babushka would go with him for a few errands, to see how she needs to handle a carrige. She was familiar around horses, but the usage and maintainence of a transport carrige was new to her.

She showed to be a pretty quick learner -managed to be able to control the TSZ owned horse 2 weeks later. And this is how she became a carter for almost 4month.

She needed to bring back the carrige/horse every day to the TSZ when they were done for the day, and she brought it back in the early morning for work. Btw the horse's name was Csárdás and he became my Babushka's fav horse, he was sweet and pretty :3

After the harvest they gave back the carrige, and Csardás. Then a few weeks later Mr. Vászoly told my Babushka that if she wants, she could apply for the job on the local lord's manor, because apparently they just had a big purchase, with more lands and Vászoly wasn't enough now. This gave my Babush a steady job for the autumm and winter too, she had one boy beside her, and they needed not just to help out around the lord's fields, but around the town too haha. When someone had something to transport, the two of them went helping (for good money of course).

And this case wasn't that common back around 1950s to see a woman, let alone a teen girl handling a fukin big and heavy transport carrige, with cart horses thrice her size.

So Mark Gillespie and Louis Tomlinson aren’t quite done with each other, despite TSZ’s imprint with Sony.

wegerf well anon just finished saying so but yeah chances are that if you're main exposure to the og pilgrims are from simplified and cartoony forms then it can be pretty easy to form a mostly negative opinion about them, especially following a common but often unspoken "equivalent exchange" fandom rule that if one character is going to be made better than another character has to be made worse (i.e. exactly what happened with Sun Wukong and the Six-Eared Macaque in Monkie Kid lmao). Hell as it is I've heard that even in China the multiple chapters Xiyouji dedicates to Tang Sanzang's backstory & traumas are often left out of retellings! And in many ways this too is understandable especially when you're dealing with a retelling aimed at children, given that from what happened to the monk's mother to living under the constant threat of getting devoured to being sexually assaulted numerous times...well, not many stories are going to want to even touch on the horrifying nature and aftermath of most or even any of that. But yeah at the end of the day leaving all of this out & keeping in other things like Tang Sanzang using the headband against Sun Wukong for seemingly no reason does make him a lot easier to fully demonize than he might otherwise be. But it does lead to a pretty disappointing situation where there's an overall sense that someone HAS to be bashed, vs. the much more interesting situation of each of the pilgrims having reasons, even very understandable reasons, for acting the way they do even while they are obviously very capable of hurting each other, and then slowly learning how to work together and even appreciate each other's company.

Because yeah at the end of the day anon you are so right about how the Monkey King himself becomes Tang Sanzang's #1 active apologist lmao
