Occult Recipebook

Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble.

INTRO

Occult gameplay is up there with one of my favourite ways to play. Food is a part of our Sims lives, and should also be for occults so that they can cook up their preferred foods.

This Occult Recipebook is a collection of custom recipes (food and drink) for Occult Sims in the Sims 4.

I have started off this occult culinary journey with: ✨SPELLCASTERS✨

I have plans to later create foods for each occult life state, so I will keep adding to the recipe book.

“Spellcasters” as a life state can be played in so many different ways: they can range from gnarly evil witches who practice black magic and eat bird entrails, to happy little fairies who live in cottages surrounded by woods and flowers! I have tried to include a little bit of everything in the recipes I have created. These foods are a mix of fairy, fantasy, green garden witch, apothecary, or black-magic sorcerer etc.

They effect Spellcasters and/or human Sims in many weird and wonderful ways.

E.g. Nettle Tea which helps teenagers suffering with acne, Milk Thistle Biscuits which leave the consumer with prickly thistles in their tongue, and Eye of Newt Soup which most Sims will find disgusting but which Spellcasters will happily slurp up.

My headcanon for TS3 Vlad is that, after the events of TS4, he was convicted by occult society for violating occult laws of conduct when he was the ruler of Forgotten Hollow (assault and murder of humans and occults, non-consensual feeding and turning, etc.). However he was able to get off relatively lightly because he had the best defense lawyer money could buy. Now he is required to reside in Moonlight Falls where he is monitored and far away from vulnerable and unaware human populations.

Just wanted to ask about this if you don't mind.

Would it be possible to make more vampire foods? I have seen brazenlotus make some holloween type foods that could be seen as vampire foods, but I wouldn't mind more...

Blood brand soda (one that has lots of iron, another with lots of haemoglobin?), Blood pudding(s) (sausages from England...?), or even just raw/rare beef/fish dishes... idk—if it's not your style then I completely understand, these things are kind of hard to keep PG-13 and cartoony and not gorey and gross.

I found a tutorial on YouTube by pixified (I think that's they're name...) on how to make sims 4 food, would it be better to try and make these myself (this is a large mod you've created so I don't want to be too greedy)?

Would you have any tips/resources that you found useful when making your ts4 cc food that you feel comfortable sharing?

Those are some fun ideas. I always love making vampire and other occult foods. I do take #public_suggestions on my Discord if you're ever interested in stopping by to leave me some ideas.

I actually wrote some beginner friendly tutorials for creating food that are very easy to follow. I do plan to make some video tutorials at a later date but unsure of when at this time.

It is no secret to anyone who reads my posts that I love occult gameplay in The Sims 4, and I am very excited about the likelihood of werewolves soon. But I still have a few gripes that I would love to see amended, and I believe these are things that could definitely be added to the game.

I got a bit rambly, so... under the cut it goes!

Toddler and child occults having some tie to what they are. Spellcaster toddlers using magic on their toys, children being able to learn a few basic spells. Mermaid toddlers and children having scales on their legs when they swim, indicative of the color of scales they’d have when they age up. Not a full second form yet, but definitely something. Toddler vampires biting the stuffed animals again, the children maybe preferring plasma fruit to other foods. Little touches that show hints of their future abilities, rather than this sudden development of magic.

Since I listed the main occults in the game currently (except for aliens, I do not play with them enough to be able to comment, but if anyone else has thoughts, please feel free to share), werewolves should be fairly simple. In TS3, toddler wolves would howl with their families, and it was adorable. Children would already be able to turn. I think it depends on how werewolves are handled in TS4, but maybe children could at least get tense or something on full moons? Some indication that they are more than just a normal Sim.

I still want fairies. In a game pack, with them as the main focus. So many people complain when the occults are the main focus of the game pack, but look what happens when they are not. Aliens and mermaids. You can do... a few fun things, but not much. With vampires, you are encouraged to keep working to reach the perks you want. With spellcasters, you want to be the best there is and learn the top-tier spells. With mermaids and aliens... there is no motivation. So fairies need their own game pack so they can be the focus and get the development they need.

Honestly, I would even be fine with some things being in a... sort of Supernatural pack? Probably not a full expansion pack, since in theory, we would already have all the occults, but something that just... expands them all. Maybe offers more spells for spellcasters, more ways to grow as a vampire, adding the tier systems to mermaids and aliens (even though we would all prefer if that was done in a free refresh, but I am trying to be somewhat realistic here).

DJ R3X already comes with a few of the songs listed here, but I find it annoying that it only plays a couple of the songs from Disney’s decently sized playlist for Oga’s Cantina. I would recommend downloading all of the songs from this playlist and disabling the ones that come with the game so you have the full versions of all the songs:

DISCLAIMER

I am a pretty big Star Wars fan, but I’ve only seen the main movies, the Mandalorian, and half of The Clone Wars. I don’t really play any Star Wars video games aside from LEGO Star Wars and the 2005 version of Battlefront II, and I have no experience with Legends or the Extended Universe. I tried to do as much basic research as possible for making this save file, but it is possible that there are some canon inconsistencies with how I made the characters here. Please keep that in mind!

If you have any suggestions on what would be cool to add to this save, please let me know! You’re of course able to edit and use this save as you want, all I ask is that you do not reupload it or claim it as your own. You are free to give people the direct link to my download pages for it though!

rate in order favourite to least favourite, sims 1, sims 2, sims 3, sims 4: when it comes to gameplay sims 3 > sims 2 > sims 4 > sims 1 but ts2 is always gonna be my fav because of the nostalgia and memories! but i would LOVE ts3 + 2 gameplay with ts4 graphics

favourite expansion: i think it’s always pets and seasons and maybe family eps like generations or parenthood

favourite active career: eh i don’t know i always end up getting sick of them id rather send my sims into a rabbit hole

how do you pick the names for your sims: i usually go with something silly or food related, not always tho and then a good old baby names list will do :p

create a spouse or find them in game (townies): tbh i don’t rlly care i usually just let my sims find someone and then give them a major makeover because it’s easier for me this way

do you prefer following storytelling simblrs or gameplay simblrs: def gameplay! i don’t have the attention span for stories but i do admire the creativity and effort!

LIFELINES AND LEGACIES - A D&D inspired TS4 Legacy Challenge

Even though I’m not active, I wanted to start another legacy challenge, but I didn’t want to do a normal one. Since my friends and I play D&D and love it, why not take inspiration from there? And so here is the culmination of that little brainstorm! It’s my first time making a challenge like this, so hopefully it won’t be that bad. :D It’s a legacy challenge based on the Dungeons and Dragons classes!

If you want to try this challenge out, please use the tags #L&L challenge or #ts4 L&L ! I’d really appreciate it if anyone tries this out just for fun!

Bit of a warning, this challenge gets a bit chaotic in the middle because...honestly, I dunno,,,,

Rules and requirements under the cut!!

Pack Requirements: All the EPs and GPs except for Star Wars (ew), but you can always skip some requirements if you don’t have the packs for them

You can choose to do this on normal lifespan, but playing on long is allowed too.

So, how do you want to do this?

GENERATION 1: Fighter

You don’t have much right now, but you’re determined to build yourself from the ground up and start a family. You have a strong will to fight when needed and you’re quite athletic. You don’t have to be completely alone at the start of this journey, however, and a long time best friend of yours can be part of your party.

RULES:

Must have Active trait

Fight/”Friendly Spar” with at least 3 different sims and 1 occult sim

Complete Successful Lineage aspiration

Starting funds must be less than 20,000 simoleons after buying a house

Get a job in either the Fitness career or the Military career

OPTIONAL: Can have another sim in the household when starting out, and must be friends with them. They can be your family, childhood friend,existing lover, or just some random roommate. (Also yes, you’re allowed to romance them. Unless if they’re your family, yikes)

GENERATION 2: Druid

Your family may not have had the best financial state starting out, but you don’t let things like money phase you. You’ve always loved nature and going out, and dreamed of wanting to do more for the environment as an adult. You like to take things a bit slowly, and love to lounge around.

RULES:

Must have Vegetarian, Lazy, and Loves Outdoors traits

Lot must be off-the-grid

Have a green eco footprint

Marry in adulthood instead of young adulthood

Meet and become friends with the hermit in Granite Falls

Max out the Gardening skill and grow your own food

Optional: You must only have one lover and you must woo them with bees

GENERATION 3: Artificer

You’re dissatisfied at how your family lounges around most of the time, and you’re quite the workaholic compared to them. Your career is your life, and you happen to be both ambitious and gifted. Though you love your child but you have absolutely no idea how to be a parent. So you might end up being a bit of a helicopter parent…

RULES:

Must have Ambitious and Genius traits

Graduate college on a scholarship

Get a job in the Scientist career

Have at least level 6 Robotics skill

Have only one child, born from a one night stand/fling

Never get married

Only do strict parenting interactions with your child

OPTIONAL: Complete the element collection

GENERATION 4: Wizard

You grew up in a house with high expectations, and always wanted to please your family. You worked hard in your studies and in the end- it paid off. But at the cost of you not having much of a social life. However, that really isn’t your priority. Instead, you chose to start learning the magic arts, enthralled by its mystic ways. You were always good at school, so why not start getting good at magic now? As long as you put your mind to it, it shouldn’t be that hard...right?

RULES:

Must have Perfectionist and Loner traits

Have less than 5 friends

Must finish Whiz Kid child aspiration

Become an “A” student in both grade school and high school

Must have “Responsible” trait when you reach Young Adulthood (via high responsibility value)

Graduate college with a distinguished degree

Become a spellcaster

OPTIONAL: Take the teaching or doctor career

GENERATION 5: Sorcerer

You were born with a magical bloodline, and you love to show it off. You want the whole world to see that you’re a cool prodigal spellcaster. You’re the complete opposite of your parent; loud, outgoing, quick to make friends. You’ve even developed a knack for acting in order to impress people, and you dream of becoming a famous star in order to show those who wronged you before that you’re the best thing on earth.

RULES:

Must have Self-Absorbed and Erratic trait

Must have weak bloodline trait from parent and become a spellcaster

Reach the Adept, Master, or Virtuoso rank

Become at least a B-Lister

Get to level 7 of the Actor career

Have some sort of rival

Must have “Good Manners” trait when reaching Young Adulthood (via high manners value)

Must have good reputation

Optional: Be the leader of a popular club and have the Insider trait

GENERATION 6: Bard

You’ve got it all. Rich and famous family, a magical bloodline, musical skill, lots of friends...but something inside you just feels...missing. Thanks to this, you started going around looking for lovers, carelessly tossing aside those who happened to not meet your indecisive standards. It would probably take you years before you calm down and settle with someone you truly care about, but all the heartbreak you’ve caused before that is quite impressive, to say the least.

RULES:

Must have Romantic, Music Lover and Non-Committal traits

This sim has to be the hottest generation. Go all out yo!!!!

Must have strong bloodline trait but cannot be a spellcaster

Complete the Serial Romantic Aspiration

Work in the Entertainer career as a musician

Have as many affairs as you want and have illegitimate kids BUT…

Your heir must be the result of an affair with an occult sim that isn’t a spellcaster. See rules for next generation below

OPTIONAL: Only get married in late adulthood or elder life stage. You can’t have kids with this person.

GENERATION 7: Warlock

You never really had a close relationship with your “famous” parent, and spent more time with your occult family, making you pretty close with each other. Your half siblings don’t like you because you inherited a part of your famous parent’s fortune, despite being...you know...a paranormal freak? To get around this, you developed quite a skillful tongue, and you know your way around words. Now you’re looking for someone to get some more money from...

RULES:

Must have bloodline trait AND be part of an occult race that isn't a spellcaster. Like, you could be a mermaid, vampire, or alien with the bloodline trait, or even a half alien or half vampire.

Have a high relationship with your occult parent

Reach level 10 charisma skill and get yourself a sugar daddy/mommy. :D

Now, your path for this generation will differ depending on whether your parent is an alien, vampire, or mermaid, and is based on some of the D&D warlock patrons. However, this divergence is completely optional. and you can just focus on finding a sugar daddy/mommy only

ALIEN PARENT (Great Old One patron) You can be either a full alien or half alien for this one.

Get a job in the Astronaut career and visit Sixam

Max out your Logic skill

If you’re a full alien, memory wipe at least one person who you had a high relationship with if they find out you’re an alien.

Must have Insensitive trait when you reach Young Adulthood (comes from having low empathy)

VAMPIRE PARENT (Undying patron) You can be either a full vampire or half-vampire for this one.

Max out your vampire lore skill

Own a cowplant for as long as possible

If full vampire, turn at least one person into a vampire

Become friends with the Grim Reaper, by any means necessary :)

MERMAID PARENT (Kraken/Lurker in the Deep patron) (UA) You can only be a full mermaid for this one.

Max out your fishing skill

Try to have one child with Sulani Mana trait

Collect 5 rare fishes

Die from polar bear plunge (jumping into a pool outside when it’s freezing cold)

GENERATION 8: Cleric

The generation before was…chaotic, to say the least. You may have occult blood in you but you’re gonna try to set things straight for future generations. How are you gonna do that? BY GETTING RICH, OF COURSE! SPREAD THE WORD OF CAPITALISM AROUND BY STARTING YOUR OWN RETAIL STORE! Or a restaurant, that works too. The most prominent thing that you’ve inherited from your parents is your love of money, and you’re constantly coming up with schemes to get more. Gods may not exist in The Sims, but you might as well worship something that’s powerful. And money is power.

RULES:

Must have Materialistic trait

Have a job in the Business career, Politics career, or Civil Designer career (Civic Planner) and bop bop bop, bop to the top

Own at least one retail store/restaurant with a rating of at least three stars

Complete the Fabulously Wealthy Aspiration

Eventually move to a penthouse OR one of the big apartments in the business district in San Myshuno

Have only one child

Fall in love with someone from work, then divorce them after having a fight

GENERATION 9: Paladin

Despite the unique circumstances that happened before your birth, you grew up...pretty normal. There’s not much to say about you since your magical bloodline and occult genes are probably dwindling from here, and sooner or later your family legacy will go back to being humans. You’ve always wanted to protect this world and be the one to bring justice to it, so you take up a job in the police force. You and your lover unfortunately had a kid, and even though your lover may have wanted it deep down you actually hate kids. You’ve heard about strange events going on in a town called Strangerville, and you’ve been itching to investigate…

RULES:

Must be close with Generation 8 sim

Must have Hates Children trait

Have a job in the Police career

Complete the Strangerville Aspiration and become the Hero of Strangerville

Have the “Mediator” trait when reaching Young Adulthood (from high conflict resolution)

Stay in the penthouse/apartment your parent got

OPTIONAL: Complete the “Rambunctious Scamp” child aspiration and get “Physically Gifted” trait

GENERATION 10: Rogue

Ironically, despite your upbringing, you ended up becoming a deviant that has constant run-ins with the law. Your relationship with your family isn’t great, but you’re determined to make a name for yourself as a slippery troublemaker. Your true dream however, is to find your one true lover, since you’re a secret hopeless romantic. Your flirting skills are laughable though, and you tense up whenever you have to do something romantic. How are you gonna find love like this?

RULES:

Have bad relationship with Generation 9 sim

Must have Kleptomaniac, Gloomy, and Unflirty traits

Reach the top of the criminal career

Complete both the Soulmate aspiration

Whenever you visit another sim’s lot, steal something from their house

Have up to two exes before finally settling on the one you wanna marry

Get friendzoned at least once

Move out of your parents’ penthouse/apartment and into a small 20x15 lot

OPTIONAL: Have negative reputation

OPTIONAL: Be BFFs with your other parent

You can end the challenge here, but there are still some more D&D classes left to do, so here they are, the optional generations!

GENERATION 11: Barbarian

You take after your parent a lot, and you’re skilled in making people absolutely hate you. Your emotions are just as stable as Philippine wifi, and you have this terrible habit of getting into fights a lot. But just because people don’t like you doesn’t mean you can’t go out and have fun. In fact, you’re quite infamous for going out to parties and starting bar fights.

RULES:

Must have Hot-headed and Mean traits

Must have “Uncontrolled Emotions” trait when aging up into Young Adulthood (from low emotional control)

Fight as many people as possible, make lots of enemies

Throw a lot of parties and go to lots of bar nights and events

Complete Public Enemy aspiration

OPTIONAL: Die from cardiac arrest

GENERATION 12: Monk

For someone with a public nuisance for a parent, you’re pretty chill. You love to make stuff, and your way of life is quite tranquil, to say the least. You’re handy and artistic, and love to do things yourself, even if it does give off the impression that you’re super cheap. You’ve always got a gift for someone during christmas, and your inventory is full of stuff that you’ve made, or components to make stuff with. The world is cool with you, and you’re cool with the world. You’re not the type of person who could hold down a regular job though...

RULES:

Max out the Wellness skill

Must have Maker trait

Be at least level 4 in the all following skills: Handiness, Fabrication, Painting, Writing, Flower Arranging, and any instrument skill. (Also Knitting, if you have it)

Always change jobs when you reach level 4 in them, and your only truly stable source of income is from selling the stuff you’ve made

Live on an off-the-grid lot, preferably somewhere near the water or near a forest

Have twins for kids and only those twins (you can cheat to get this ahhaha)

Elope only, cause weddings aint your style

Explore Selvadorada with your family at least once

GENERATION 13: Ranger

After you and your family went on a vacation to Selvadorada, you decided that you’d travel the world, no matter what! Your twin sibling was originally gonna help you complete this dream, but unfortunately they died due to mysterious circumstances. While you mourned away your sorrows, you came across a stray animal that reminded you of your late sibling and decided to take it in. Rate in order favorite to least favorite, Sims 1, Sims 2, Sims 3, Sims 4:

Uhhh, for actual gameplay?

Sims 3, Sims 2, Sims 4, Sims 1.

Sims 3 is my favorite because it’s the one I played the most, and it had SO much I loved to do. If it worked better on my laptop, I’d still play it the most - even the numerous glitches have a place in my heart.

Sims 2 is my second favorite because it’s just AMAZING. Everything about it was great. But, I didn’t play it as much as I played Sims 3, and it takes way too many mods to make it look good and run well now.

Sims 4 is in third, despite it being the one I play the most, because without the mods and everything it’s... pretty bland. I have so many mods just to add extra autonomy and randomness to the game - the randomness was my favorite things about 2 and 3, you never really knew what was going to happen. Plus, you can’t have babies with ghosts or Grim without a mod, and as someone whose very first legacy in TS3 was co-founded with a ghost my sim literally stole from the graveyard, that disappoints me.

Sims 1 is in fourth because.. I never properly played it because when it first came out my Dad thought it looked like a bad game for a kid.

Favorite expansion:

Sims 2 - Freetime, simply because I LOVED the randomness of the hobby choice. Most of my sims liked tinkering best for some reason, haha!

Sims 3 - Supernatural, because I’m a sucker for the occults.

Sims 4 - Cottage Living, because it’s so sweet and cute and I really love the gameplay.

Small pets or horses:

Horses! I love small pets, but honestly? I’m hoping we get a game pack in TS4 dedicated to horses and equestrianism.

Favorite active career:

Sims 3 - Ghost hunter! I’ve done that career a lot, but it never gets old. Especially when you can woohoo the ghosts. 😏

Sims 4 - Actor! Again, one I’ve done a lot, but I love it anyway.

Favorite LTW/Aspiration:

Sims 3 - Seasoned Traveler! I’ve always really enjoyed the traveling from World Adventures.

Sims 4 - Strangerville Mystery! What can I say? I love solving the Strangerville mystery even if I’ve done it like 5 times already and know what’s coming.

Whims, wishes or wants and fears:

Wants and Fears, hands down. I love the consequences of doing something your sim fears doing. I was disappointed with both TS3 and TS4 that they didn’t add fears back in.

Favorite occult:

Fairies, absolutely. My simself in TS3 is always a fairy.

Cowplants, Bonehilda or Social Bunny:

This is a hard one.. but I think I’ll have to say Cowplants.

Favorite non-PC Sims game:

The Sims 2 Castaway for PS2, it was the second sims game I actually ever got. The first one was Sims 2 Pets for PS2. I loved them both, but honestly? I want them to remaster Castaway and bring it back out again.

Favorite spin off game:

Sims Medieval! I still play it frequently, haha.

How do you pick the names for your Sims:

It depends on my mood, honestly. For my legacies that aren’t NSB or Berry, I use Behind the Name - either the random name generator, or I search for a name by the letter for my Rask legacy (since they’re alphabetical).

For NSB or Berry I search for names that correspond to the color they represent. Emotions, fruits, animals, elements, drinks, foods, all sorts of things.

Create a spouse or find them in game (townies):

Both! Normally, I find one in game, though.

Do you prefer following storytelling simblrs or gameplay simblrs:

Both! I follow both, and I love reading both.

What year did you join simblr:

I joined Simblr at the end of 2020. I was always an unofficial part of it, just lurking, but didn’t get active until then.

Zodiac Legacy Challenge for the Sims 3

If you’re like me, I like a good legacy challenge with nice themes/aesthetics to place/plan out with each heir with enough wiggle room for creative interpretations. No. Well I’ve always wanted to do a zodiac legacy challenge but could never find the rules for TS3 or most of them were made for TS4. So I guess I thought I would just make one then.

This was all made on a whim but it’s a strong whim. So enjoy the whim. “@” me if you use the rules since I didn’t come up with a tag for this.

Without further ado

General Rules:

Finish the goals provided for each sign

You can move onto the next generation when all goals are met or you maintain them until the heir has aged up or both. Up to you.

You can start on any sign but you must go in order afterwards.

If I were to start on Leo, I would have to do Virgo next.

You can select any of the careers provided for the generation.

You don’t have to use all the traits assigned to a sign, but 1-2 are required.

You can use colors for aesthetic purposes/berry purposes, but they are not required.

plumbot - what supernatural creature do you want in ts4?

boy i have so many occults i want in the game... the one i want the most atm is werewolves. or then something new we never have seen in the sims franchise before... this is maybe a bit biased but i’d really want the possibility for a sim to be a soul reaper this doesn’t have to be an occult but it could also be a career. ( looking at you happy haunts ) however i am happy with paranormal and everything that came with that stuff pack (it is actually my favorite stuff pack ).

traits - what are your most and least used traits?

i don’t have any most used traits... i try to use as many as them as i can but i have my favorite traits which are probably most of the traits we have in cas.

my least used traits is probably lactose-intolerant ( i think it is such a dumb idea to have it as a trait because it is actually a medical condition and it could easily be put in another category aside from traits ( maybe food preferences, if we ever get those ) together with the vegetarian trait ( just my opinion ).

Languages you speak: Just English, and extremely low-level GCSE French :(

Are you a mermaid?: Sure! I live in a coastal town & was a huge mermaid & dolphin girl as a kid, even had an underwater/dolphin themed bedroom. These days my vibe is more witch-y than mermaid-y, but I’m down with being any kinda cool fantasy lady, haha

Your play style: It’s a mix, yeah! I tend to play with a lot of structure (rounds, challenges, etc.) but keep the rules pretty loose & optimise more for storytelling than anything. It varies a lot between saves and sometimes even between families, haha.

Your Simself picture: Gosh, I haven’t played with a simself in forever... here’s one from 2015, lmao:

She doesn’t really look anything like me since I wasn’t the best at faces in those days, and my style has definitely changed in the last 5 years (although the hair isn’t all that different) so maybe I’ll make a new one, just for fun?

Your favorite age state: Young Adults, university is my favourite! :D

Your favorite season: Spring or Autumn - I like that nice in-between weather and the feeling of the world chaning...

Your favorite holiday: Christmas, definitely! It can be kind of a stressful holiday but it gives me such a strong feeling of community and love, with family, friends, hell even on simblr! It’s the only time of year I really get together with my extended family. I also love the food, the decorations, the lights, Christmas pantos, classic films on TV, ghost stories... it’s got it all, imo!

How was your day?: So far so good! It’s been a weekend of having absolutely no plans (courtesy of corvid-19, heh) and just kinda relaxing. It’s a worrying time in a way but it’s also been nice to not have to worry about cramming as much as possible into the weekend & just being, yknow?

Your favorite career: I like running a OFB career the best but other than that... maybe crime, haha?

Your favorite aspiration: Knowledge & Pleasure!

Your favorite EP, GP and SP: Probably Mansion & Garden, I can’t live without all that gorgeous garden decoration & the cool archetectural details! For EP, hmmm, maybe university? University is my favourite part of the game, I think :)

How old is your simblr?: Apparently it dates back to August 2014 so, gosh, about 6 years??????????

Have you WooHooed?: Haha, serious question? Yeah

Your favorite skill: Creativity, probably! Although really its the hidden skills linked to it that I like, painting& music proficiancy, etc.

Your 3 favorite mods: Going to cheat and say all the occult stuff by @midgethetree, the simological school/prison mods, & @hexagonal-bipyramid‘s traits project!

Your interests (other than Sims): Writing, D&D (I’m a newbie DM currently running Curse of Strahd for my IRL friends), anime, reading, drawing, tarot, fashion (I like ‘alternative’ style but lean more into witchy/granny/mori stuff than the ‘edgy’ look), witchcraft/occult stuff in general, knitting, embroidery... the last 2 are very new hobbies I’m still getting the hang of!

Your favorite Sim (picture if possible): Chosing one is always basically impossible for me so I’m gonna go ahead and post a few favorites...

Which Sims games have you played (including mobile games)?:Definitely TS2 is the one I’ve played the most of, but I’ve also played all the other mainline games... TS1 was only at friend’s houses, never got into TS4, but I have played a lot of TS3.

We never had a PC as a kid so I’ve played looooooads of the console ones. On the PS2 The Sims, Bustin’ Out, Sims 2, The Urbz (the best one.) Also the Sims 2 DS game & PSP games. Those are both pretty great. I also played the Sims 3 Wii game which was fucking terrible, haha.

Propose a crazy scheme: Bring back round robin legacies where a different simmer plays each generation

Best part of simblr: The community spirit is great, everyone is always eager to help each other and the level of creativity is just wow

Worst part of simblr:Sometimes I miss how much people commented in the old LJ days - without “threads” in comments it’s much harder to build friendships on Tumblr without going out of your way to message people, which is always a bit intimidating!

What other games you play?: I don’t play that many other games because I like the Sims 2 so much, but me and my boyfriend generally play through a couple of games together each year... mostly the Zelda and Final Fantasy series. I also play 00s era Sonic games weekly with one of my friends, haha. They are kind of crappy in a lot of ways but hold so much charm for me, I just love them... in general I like visual novels, mysteries, puzzles, adventures & anything with a good story. Not so big on anything very large and open-world, or first-person.

Other favourites include Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Harvest Moon (had to quit this one cold turkey lmao), TWEWY, the 999 games & Phoenix Wright.
