Machine a Habiter Set

During the beginning of the century, architecture sought to generate beauty as well as to have an impact on the lives of the inhabitants. Houses had to be efficient, practical and functional as artifices that serve the tasks for which they were invented.

Machine e Habiter is a particular set, which offers a wide variety of residential lots of different sizes and needs. All the plans are taken from real houses for sale during the 1940s in Argentina, which allow for a myriad of different styles with the same basic format.

People are determined to build and settle down in a quiet place with their future families, although due to lack of technical knowledge they cannot escape from doubts at the moment of building: "Shouldn't the kitchen be visible from the living room?" "Should the main bedrooms be far from the toilet?" "Do I want a lighted or safe space?"

I decided to publish a set of 22 base houses, built between 1890-1960 published in national property magazines, worker's housing plans, university analysis or inspired by well-known houses.

The houses are empty to allow for a custom design for each person, to help with the tricky part of wanting to design an old house without falling into modern ideas.

Each one has inside a JPG. FILE with how the spaces are distributed inside and photos of the house.

The lots use windows from @felixandresims, @harrie and @illogicalsims and one (House 19) from @peacemaker-ic, as they are the closest to the originals, but they can be replaced by other ones. The windows and doors are from the following sets:

Long time no see simmers!

I have been building a lot the last few months but havent been posting here, so im trying to catch up with you all. I will be posting a bunch of builds i have done in that time both big and small!

And im sorry if you followed me for the medieval save file i posted about in 2020, im no longer actively working on it. It was too big of a project to take on alone! however I still do medieval builds from time to time so feel free to stay for those:)

Когда-то этот трейлер принадлежал путешественнику. Сансет Вэлли, Бриджпорт, Сан-Секвойя, Аппалуза Плейнс, Твинбрук - малая часть из тех мест, где ему удалось побывать.

В Риверсайде нашему путешественнику повстречалась девушка, с которой они прожили вместе до глубокой старости. Они увидели весь мир, испытали на себе различные прелести жизни в разных регионах и погодных условиях, и самым приятным местом для них оказался Оазис Спрингс, где они и остались встречать бездетную старость.

К тому моменту, когда трейлер был продан незнакомцу, заверившему стариков, что их друг в надежных руках, его мотор поизносился, механизмы заржавели, да и восстанавливать его бы никто не взялся - запчасти уже не продавали.

Новый хозяин укрепил трейлер, сделав его по истине настоящим домом без колес. Вокруг возвел забор из досок, на заднем дворе построил теплицу и прожил в нем десять счастливейших одиноких лет.

Теперь трейлер ищет новых хозяев, и кто ими станет - решать тебе! Он не идеален - все в нем сделано своими руками, да и ремонт бы не помешало обновить. Но зато он хранит в себе воспоминания. Очень и очень много воспоминаний...

LAKESIDE RETREAT - a 40x30 residential lot by amoebae

Made by request. A cabin for two Sims: one a comedian with a love of film and programming, who enjoys collecting frogs and dreams of some day starting a family; the second his roommate, a doctor, who enjoys the finer things in life although he can little afford them. The house features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large kitchen diner, a snug living room, and an extensive basement currently used as part office, part games room, part workshop, part laundry, and part cluttered dumping ground. Though dated, the house is warm and inviting. Outside there are beautiful views of the lake in Granite Falls.

The only custom content used was my Shiftable Mirrors (which lets you move mirrors freely on the wall). If you don't have that installed you might find any wall mirrors disappear. If that happens, you can simply replace them with whatever you like.

I have every build/buy pack and kit and used a lot of them for this build. Anything missing can be replaced with whatever you have in your own game.

so... i might have soon built my first huge family home in ts4.... it is on a 30x20 but the house is still enormous with four floors and 6 bedrooms (and i still have the landscaping to do 😭) because it is for a family of 6 sims with a baby on the way... i could have built it on a 40x30 lot.... but i didn't want to evict the Charm family... anyways previews are coming soon
