Visual Guide

We decided to separate the Visual Guide from the Schedule, because a lot of confusion came from reblogged guides from past years. You can always find the current schedule here. Read the guide by @cookiemonsterrsims after the cut. (We had to remove the "Read More” due to Tumblr Mobile issues, I am SO sorry for the long post!!)

First things first…make one private post with a gift (or lots of gifts, on account of you being generous and the rest of us being greedy lay-a-bouts).

Things you might want to put in that post:

new sims or pets

short stories

pictures of awesomely decorated rooms with links to CC and/or decorating tips

lookbook with links

Sims 2, Sims 3, or Sims 4 stuff for all

anything you want

Announce that you are around to give out treats. Make a new post and tag it Simblreen. That way, complete strangers can track you down by tracking the #simblreen tag. Don’t forget we also have a new Participants page where you can sign up and see who has announced their participation for the year!

Here, I’ve called it turning my porch light on. You can also specify if you prefer asks or instant messaging(IM). As you can see, it is tagged “Simblreen” and “ts4″, because I offered a gift for ts4:

Grab the link to your post:

First, try sending the link normally:

Sometimes, the Tumblr overlords smile upon us. Remember to “Answer privately.”

If Tumblr is grouchy, you can usually just put the last part of a URL.

The giftee will then need to copy and paste the information onto the end of your blog URL.

When you are done giving out gifts for the night, delete the post announcing that you’re around or/and make a new post saying that your porch light is off. If you are not getting swamped, please consider leaving your light on all night so you can hit different time zones.

If you decide to use instant messaging, simply wait for messages and send the link directly :)

Messaging works more smoothly! But you can choose whichever you prefer to use, just don’t forget to specify it in your porch light post so the trick or treaters will know how to contact you! :)

A special note for the trick or treaters - Don’t forget that you DO NOT SEND ASKS ANONYMOUSLY!

You can post the link to the private post for everyone, repost it as a public post, save all of them for the end of the event to share with everyone, or anything you want. It’s your party, have fun as you see fit. :)

Omg guys! So I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be starting the Not So Berry Challenge created by @lilsimsie and @alwaysimming I’m actually so pumped to be able to see the game through a new perspective than just sticking with how I usually play!

Other stuffs I’ll be making this blog officially into a Simblr! I’ll be postig CC Finds, possibly I’ll be posting Lookbooks but that just depends whether I want to, I’m trying to get the hang of things since this is going to be my very first Simblr. I’m not very good with any aesthetics for Lookbooks (Posing, backgrounds. etc.) that’s why I’m hesitant about posting any of them. But I probably won't need them since I think I'll post them how I want to. ✨ Also! I own a Discord, so if you would like to get to know me outside of the sims you can message me directly to get my ID. I also have a Twitter @Aimnyx So that’s about it!
