surprised i got it down to 11 bc usually its 12gb+, itll probably be less bc i have to finish some hair retextures that r in my wip folder so :). my cas cc is usually more than my buy/build/ingame shit so

idk how to really answer this. honestly when i go cc shopping or when im like. looking for something specific i always end up deep in someones cc finds downloading shit i know i dont need or really dont like. so really i hoard everything lol i have a big folder of misc recolors and meshes from when i used to download lots with cc like. jodelie lots so you know that shit was packed full of cc and i used to install it all without thought. probably why my game is so junky even tho ive reinstalled ts2 so many times since then 😭

Well, anon offered me to make a conversion of stealthic’s midsummer night (because existing version has some transparencies) and I did it because I like this hair too. Also there are a couple of necklaces that wait in my to-do folder too long (hope no one converted them xD). Details under the cut!

Stealthic MidsummerNight 4to2

Technically, this is a new 4to2 conversion, because in my work I used files from ts4, so the file was named according to my naming system. But since I wanted to be able to use it with all retextures (there have been a lot of them over the years), I made it as a replacement for the old pucсamichi mesh. You can download a new mesh separately if you already have retextures, or download a mesh with recolors from my palette, which I also made In any case don't forget to delete the old mesh (name Puccamichi-Stealthic-MidsummerNight4to2AllAges-Mesh) before using my version, they are not compatible.

— for all ages, female only honestly I don't think this hair is suitable for toddlers but since the previous conversion included this age, I had to do the same — polycount: 11.6k — textures:original texture — color palette — binned and familied; elders come in grey (linked to black); custom greys are available for toddler-adult — original ts4 mesh here — not animated, I didn’t managed to get the animation to work in this file, just smooth assignments

!!Question for 4t2 Converters !!

Mostly for clothing converters: Do you actually must have TS4 installed in order to convert?

I ask because around the time I went off on vacations, I started to adventure into converting stuff from 4t2 for personal use. So I got all the recommended programs and collected the appropriate tutorials and it worked for me with jewelry (and hairs sort of...)

But recently I tried to convert a piece of ACC clothing I realized I had a problem. Sims 4 Studio didn’t show a body nor did it show in Blender, it didn’t show ever since I had gotten the programs, so I thought it was normal, but it shown on the tutorials I had followed. It didn’t bother me much up until the TS2 T model pose and the pose of TS4 didn’t match, making it very hard to work with.

So I bothered a couple of people about it, thinking either Blender or S4S was not working correctly - and I am SO GRATEFUL for their help - and two different sources told me I should not need TS4 installed for the body to show. Thing is, after I installed the base game just to be sure, the model body showed up in S4S and Blender.

So my question is, do you actually need to have the game? TS4, apart from occupying space in an already extremely crowded hard drive, puts a strain on my 11 year old laptop (even if I don’t intend to play, but I remember how it struggled when I played the free beta), so I would like very much to not have it installed.

Is there a way around it? Not having the game but having the body show up because the poses between TS4 and TS2 don’t match when working on millkkshape.

howdy @shanisims!

ive been on-n-off of Tumblr since my teens. first for my artsy-fartsy side and all, then just to satisfy my queer tastes & fandom side, now im just bringing it all in in this blog/account i made few months into 2022 after impulsively deleting a past acc but im having the time of my life here now and plan on staying in this here humble abode!

i started my Sims gaming since the TS2 console days, playing Pets all the time on my PS2 where id literally create a family, play a few hours, wash, rinse, repeat LOL.

between CAS Live & Build i'd have to choose Live-- even with my slow W10 notebook i play with, it's always fun as long as everything goes as smooth as it can. CAS is always a good, chill time whenever i have no special agenda to tend to with my Sims but Build Mode is often a hassle cuz i don't build with much in mind all the time... plus my Build game has been very weak lately so i've stuck with overtime renovations & apartment furnishings.

for the sake of my own PC and my fear of it eventually giving me the :( death screen, i choose to play Vanilla outside of using MCCC from time to time but i do wish to play with some Maxismatch CAS CC!

as of rn, there's no item in mind, however there was a small moment in time this year where i had just adored the Flower Arranging table and would make it any Sim's sole hobby for no reason other than it's cute and adorable for my Sims to do. 🥰🥰
