Chapter 233: y'all i am not gonna lie , this was probably not one of my fav chapters ( not from a writing perspective, in that case it was good). But i was so annoyed especially with a particular character. We all know who it is. *cough cough osaragi cough cough*
Before i get into the aspects that i disliked, let me just mention the things that i enjoyed about the chapter. Firstly, shriogane and kaguya moment. It has been a while. Just look at how far they have come. From being dense beenches in love to wise seniors who give their juniors love advice. I might have to shed a tear or two. And secondly, i do agree with kaguya when she said that miko's sense of justice was flawed. That she always categorises things as black/ white or right/ wrong and doesnt try to see things from a more grey perspective. That she has a very rigid and not easily adaptable sense of justice, which might seem good on paper but is pretty harmful in the real world. And i think it was even highlighted when she wanted every guy to have crew cuts because She felt it would look sophisticated. You see the problem here. I liked that kaguya called her out on it and asked her to work on it.
Now what i personally didnt like was miko having to be the one to make amends with osaragi. I dont have a problem with them communicating their problems and issues but i definitely wanted osaragi to be the one to reconcile with miko because she was the one who was more in the "wrong" in this situation. Like she was the one who handled things poorly instead of miko. I do agree that miko needs to learn how to communicate her feelings better ( for instance how she couldnt even accept her feelings for ishigami in front of chika) but osaragi should too.
Like kaguya tells miko that she needs to put herself into other people's shoes and see things from their perspective but how is she supposed to do that when the other person doesnt even let her know what the problem is. Both ishigami and osaragi didnt let her in and i hate that she is the one whos seen to be the one not putting in the effort. Even in chapter 231, miko mentions how osaragi never comes to her with her problems. Miko was effectively kept in dark, its not like things were happening infront of her eyes and she was dense or decided to ignore it, things were deliberately kept secret from her. So in that case, i dont personally see anything wrong with the way miko reacted.
Another thing i personally didnt enjoy is how osaragi is being portrayed as this person who got betrayed by her bestfriend kindof. Like she isnt being criticised at all. And i dont like that because this situation wouldnt have happened if osaragi had decided to tell miko the truth. Like she expected miko to act as if she knew everything, and when obviously she didnt, she got all mad. Like i get that you wanted miko to help ishigami in a more direct and confrontational way, but miko wasnt even good friends with him at that time so it wouldnt make sense for her to do something like that. And when she finds her own way to do something, its still not enough because it doesnt fit your idealised version of it??? And i hate that everybody is just collectively ignoring the fact that miko did help ishigami. Osaragi not mentioning it, miko saying she couldnt support him back then when she obviously did. I wont blame kaguya because once again osaragi didnt enclose the full truth and made it seem like miko just abandoned ishigami.
Also one more thing about seeing things from as many different perspectives as possible, even though i do agree that miko is quite stubborn in that aspect, she still tried to do that during the incident. Didnt she try to see the truth from his side but he was the one who told her to go away?! He was accused of stalking a girl which is like a huge accusation and in situations like this, everyobdy is gonna side with the victim. But miko tried to see things from both angles, she couldnt because she wasnt allowed to by ishigami. And i hate that it was noted in a way that looked like she abandoned him. When she clearly didnt.
I feel like osaragi was the one who needed this conversation more than miko. I think she should be the one to put herself in other people's shoes especially mikos and try to see things from her perspective. And shouldve been the one to make amends because she is the one who bottled everything up and instead of trying to clear things up with miko, went and talked badly about miko infront of kaguya. And i will mention it again, didnt tell the whole truth. I am so annoyed by that.
I just wanted to see ishigami and miko play apex together. What have we come to.

Ppl were saying fendi only invited ten and they stuck lc there but what about yy? Iirc he was there too so they put him there on purpose as well or they won’t mention him because he’s not the one in trouble here? I’m not trying to give an attitude but if it sounds of it I’m really sorry. Idk there’s so much back and forth and ngl to that hardcore cbar fan and revealing all that info, if you saying he was such an a-hole throughout his entire career you didn’t bother leaving his fandom earlier and saying nothing? Idk that really irks me that this only came out because of what has been happening. Idk if you agree with me but I want to rant and I have so much to rant about but idk who to turn. Everything is being picked about from the littlest thing he has done or said and ppl are saying those interviews the 3 groups he in esp wayv ones have done were they praise him all must be fake. We don’t know his side of the story and in honest truth we will never know because how these things are handled through the west and Asian entertainment is so different. But I have I guess I have some reservations about what one of the victims said because of apparently who she is and it has made me think about some things. I still believe he was wrong for some of the things he has done because he needs to understand cheating and manipulation isn’t good. Idk idk idk my heart is heavy and people using this as a lololol ahahah moment to his fan community hurts too like going on and on how all along he was a douche and they always knew and we didn’t. And honestly I feel like there has been so much bandwagon hopping on the hate train because before this most ppl apart from the wayv fandom didn’t give a two cent shit about wayv. They never cared when sm mistreated them or that they got scrapings and were not treated like how 127 or dream were treated. But suddenly everyone who has never cared is up and arms about him in the group because when wayv is going to do their next projects I want to see if all these ppl are going to be cheering them on as loud about you cheering on about what’s going on currently. like I can guarantee you won’t watch an interview or stream their music. And there has been this post going around about what was revealed yesterday and it was about that cat and someone said to the girl well he didn’t give you the cat cause you ain’t his fav and she’s like go ask him on bubble cause that wasn’t what he told me yesterday and idk what it even means because everyone is jumping on it and going lololol he’s still in contact after the apology. Idk she had said it sarcastically and Idk if she’s being truthful or not but everyone is adamant he is still doing all this regardless. And honestly IF he did do that and you let him contact you like that i feel like it’s on her esp since everything has been going on for days. He was dumb for all of this and rn his entire career isn’t surviving so I can’t even tell if she is serious or not and given how this is going on I can’t imagine his devices not being taken away from him cause that’s dumb or someone watching him like a fucking hawk cause I would. Cause on top of everything ppl are saying he mistreats the animals/pets and it’s like wtf is going on?! Oh And with the surfing coach confirming they didn’t flirt but were just friendly, you could have said something earlier but did nothing for hours until you were asked directly because everyone was saying she’s number 5 but apparently in reality she wasn’t but you let it go on. Everything is plaguing me rn and I have so much more to talk about but I’m just so frustrated.
okay this is a long ask so let me just go through each point
1. i saw the fendi story and yeah, yangyang was there too but people are more 'forgiving' towards him cause hes not badmouthing other members like allegedly lucas is. also, labelv was basically trying to get more members into the thing than the organizer originally wanted to, so yangyang, since hes less popular, is pretty logical but lucas? really? he had his own shit almost always so what was the point
2. about that hardcore cbar fan, true, they did only come out with the rant after the stories came out but like they said - they were a hardcore fan. probably theres some money involved or even it was just ignoring stuff cause youre a fan. we did know about most of the things they mentioned, it was just over a long period of time so there were big gaps between each of the incidents and people forgot? idk
3. i agree, there's been a lot of analysis of every little thing he did, but like i said earlier - it was happening over a long period of time and people were blaming it on idk, the culture or the lack of knowledge of some language. now, when theres a chance it could be something more, because of the alleged badmouthing, people will bring that stuff up 🤷♀️
4. he had a chance to say something in the apology letter. he said literally nothing instead :D
5. there has been a lot of bandwagon hopping on the hate but theres also been a lot of just straight up ignoring everything. i saw a fan acc on twitter share a list of translators so the fans could block those, cause they've been spreading false news 🤡 like, he was trending for days so people will get interested in whats going on and they will have opinions, thats how world works. and yeah no one will give a single fuck about future wayv project for example but i just hope it will be because they wont care and not because there wont be any future wayv projects :DDDD cause wayv was never big lol, lets be realistic, and this scandal isnt helping them at all and also the fact its happening right when there's that social media/fans campaign going on, i think its even worse :D
6. the bubble thing... labelv isnt the brightest so idk if its that unrealistic. and i think theres the other girl who also said he was calling them non stop when they released their story so idk idk lol
7. wheres the cat :/ we all saw the pic of him getting it, i think i reblogged it with something like 'omg omg ot11 soon' lmao and we havent seen it ever since. it is weird, just like in general. i want to know wheres the cat
8. the coach 🤡🤡🤡 idk idk her story was weird but i think it made another person release their story so thanks i guess :DDD even if he didnt flirt with her, wow, omg, hes so brave for this, wow, bare minimum :)

You said a while back that while Supergiant games (Bastion, Transistor, Hades) was mostly okay, you had some words about them. I was curious as to what those words were, since Hades' full release is soon.
okay. alright. ive been playing hades lately so i definitely want to give my two cents (or dollars by the size this is gonna get). but let’s go Step by Step
the good: i want to throw a whole Endorsement over supergiant games with the art direction and its characters, which is what keeps me coming back again and again, and what i can assume is that most people are attracted to.
gameplaywise, they have a Format they stick to which has become their staple, not to their detriment but to their advantage, like... gameplay tropes, so to speak, that they stick to (such as the addition of special conditions that give a disadvantage in exchange for more long-term rewards)
i fucking adore that they take one concept per game, go for it, and when they’re done they are Done; they don’t bother with sequels, they don’t want to run things to the ground and i fucking respect that. They have their themes, and they stick to them (to various degrees of success).
that said, like every piece of media, they are not perfect and this has to be analysed and spoken about
CONTENT WARNINGS: genocide and ethnic cleansing, antisemitism, misogyny, homophobia, suicide, and mentions of incest, and a general Spoilers warning
bastion: touches on ethnic cleansing, and not in a way i’d say is satisfactory. our narrator and one of our Sympathetic characters is one of the men who worked on a world-ending weapon meant to use against the Ura (a group of people coded as East Asian) which after a bit of googling is literally called “the final solution” if there was ever a war between the Ura and the Cael (who feel like rly tan white people to me). jesus fucking CHRIST.
we also meet more Ura other than our two named characters and we have to kill most of them. so that fucking blows.
the game tries for “being a genocidal monster will get you fucked up and blown up” which duh, but i feel we shouldn’t have had a person responsible for war crimes be one of our friends no matter how bad he feels about the whole thing, or the people victim of war crimes become villains in the latter half of the game. zia’s father could’ve taken ruck’s role ez pz.
transistor: the weakest of their games, imo; the lore and writing are fairly flimsy and i did not come out feeling Satisfied, especially because it had this rly good build-up that did not pay off. not to mention... their villains? 3/4 were gay people. lol. two married guys (not even explicit, you only realize by their shared last names) and the ps*cho lesbian trope (iirc she wanted to kill the protagonist’s lover or something). the female protagonist also ends up killing herself to live forever in a digital paradise with her dead lover. it’s. god.
very Aesthetic, GORGEOUS music, interesting gameplay; had potential, i do not feel like it lived up to it at least as far as the story goes.
pyre: now this one. this one’s BEEFY. where transistor felt flimsy, pyre is rich; lots to sink your teeth into, rich in lore and loveable characters, again w the beautiful music, themes of cooperation and togetherness. my favorite of the cast is volfred sandalwood, the only Black (or, well, Black-coded) revolutionary i’ve ever seen portrayed with this amount of sympathy.
onto the bad: they literally have a Class of character named “Savage”; there’s the “mystical mentally ill person” trope; there is an overwhelming amount of explicit m/f pairs (one of them being. a romance that formed in a single day and then both of the characters were somehow willing to risk it all for each other? PLEASE) while the only hints of gayness are... hints. especially when Jodariel (another of my favs) is teased to have feelings for the player regardless of gender then only gets an ending with a male character with whom she has nothing in common 🙃
hades: and now. this one. music: gorgeous. character designs: spectacular (aphrodite is straight up naked but it’s so... natural and casual, it doesn’t feel sexualized at all). voice acting amazing. character interactions charming and endearing. as a greek mythology nerd, it was nice to see them go for the obscure shit like Zagreus at all, NOT portray Persephone and Hades as a loving couple, AND portrayed the gods as the bunch of petty assholes (some more benevolent than others) that they are. imo they’re too generous with their portrayal of achilles but i’ll allow it.
and finally... it seems all those criticisms about having all the gay characters hidden in the shadows paid off, cuz we got (aside of patroclus and achilles) a bisexual polyamorous protag. Holy Shit! and it’s not even playersexual, romance whomever you want shit without the routes recognizing each other: he explicitly talks about how he’s thinking abt them both (though it’s like “yeah usually mortals take one lover but gods love many huh” polyamory is a human thing too bro!!!!!)
and this is where it all goes, well, at least vaguely downhill lol. ok so the incest warning i gave up there? well. it’s not... outright incestuous. but it has some ugly implications. i want to emphasize: the characters never refer to each other as siblings, nor do they treat each other as such (thanatos, in fact, only recognizes hypnos as his brother, and megaera only sees the other furies as her sisters), but they were all raised by the same woman, Nyx... zagreus and thanatos even grew up together (im assuming megaera didnt meet zagreus until he was fully grown).
this is complicated even worse by the fact that they tried to trick zagreus into believing Nyx was his mother. he realized pretty early on this was not true but like... adoptive mothers, anyone? granted i can believe that bc of the attempt at deception that probably ruptured any attempt at actual familial closeness, and it’s not like hypnos and thanatos saw zagreus as their brother at any point, so they were p much aware of the truth too. with the fact that thanatos even looks like goth miles edgeworth (im not kidding you can google him up right now its literally edgeworth in a cowl) i rly feel they were aiming for Childhood Friend Anime Rival Man than the “surprise kiss bc ur not actually related <3″ shit. zagreus never once refers to nyx as his mother in-game, and also refers to thanatos and hypnos as her sons, never his brothers.
so yeah, like. if one’s feeling generous, zagreus and thanatos are more of a “my father is emotionally closed off and neglects me so my best friend’s mother basically raised me” kind of situation... just pulled off in, perhaps, the worst way possible (why didnt they just say Zagreus was told Hekate was his mom, that’s such an easy fix? or that he was born of nobody other than Hades??? [gestures at athena])
but then, the gods. aaaaaaaahhhhahahahh the gods. demeter shows up! and she calls zeus, hades and poseidon... her foster-brothers. which somehow would make the persephone thing less fucking awful, apparently. they really. really really did not need to do that. she could’ve just said “my fellow gods” or whatever. or my “god-brothers” or something, to pretend it was just a weird god alliance thing??? i dont know but implying that foster family isn’t family is just... bro, the dynamics still exist.
Don’t Like That.
i even contacted supergiant games over this. they reassured me they were even trying to avoid the incest of the original myths bc they didn’t want to mess with such a heavy theme. i believe them... but i really think they didn’t think this through. compared to something like fire emblem fates this is nearly benign, but the implications don’t look good :/
tl;dr of the tl;drs: i admire their artistic philosophy and the heavy emphasis on fresh gameplay, characters and their relationships; i appreciate that it seems that they listen to criticism?; i don’t appreciate that they didn’t think to at LEAST talk to adoptees when making a game about family.

thank heavens. what i dont get is why it was neccessary to make everyone worry and not give contact of himself, and about saeran too, that he is alive there with him and is recovering.
making saeyoung suffer for 2 more years, thanks a lot v.
im sure even if v told saeyoung he had saeran safe and sound, he would still have cried on his shoulder from happiness to know he was there, physically, and not some imagination, he was together again with his little brother who was the world to him.
but other than this, thanks v for making me believe in you once more and saving my precious bean softboy. and being there to unconditionally love him like he deserves and so much more.
aftermath
glad they didnt drag the prime minister case too much in the story, but i hate the aspect that “rika saved the day” basically. such bs. v had the info already that could uncover the truth about the twins. no fucking person gave any shit about rika’s words who were sane, that is if we were in reality... but nah, they needed to shine their rotten apple. (hence my fav quote from saeyoung the screenshot i posted before this post.)
the adopted kid of mc and v is adorable. i really loved the part about the twins being fond of her. of course they would relate to her a lot, and i adored the detail that they werent looking for romance in their own lives - they were happy just being with each other, brothers and soultwins. i always felt this way about them, that if mc were to end up with anyone else than either of the twins, they would find their happiness anyway with each other. not everything has to be about love and relationship, and thats the beauty of it. i am all for this part of the ending.
also cute that everyone is giving a buncha gifts to the kid, and saeyoung wants her to become an engineer. way to go babe, defying gender-roles assigned by society :D
and last but not least........ VANDERWOOD.
preaches. i loved his addon to the story. that he would be the one to talk some sense into Seven (though I’m sure Jumin’s speech was needed too.) and the one not giving up on him and moping in the background or excusing themselves to be “just as pained by the events”. he didnt have 2 fucking dots to connect with rfa which is possibly why he could be the most rational person to speak to Seven, because he didnt know rika or rfa or the stupid cult mint eye. but he knew Seven. or at least a huge side of him. and he believed in him.
and he hid this all under some maid-like bitching. love it.
I’m pumped for Saeran afterend now, whenever it comes. i hope i won’t need to recharge HG for it though, cuz.... I’m around 700 HG now. and I’m not wasting any of it on rikas crap story.

Oh my what a question, I was actually talking about this not too long ago with a friend! And the conclusion ended up being that if her invisibility is a permanent mutation he can’t, but if she can turn it off at will then probably he can too! Right now we still don’t know how exactly Tooru’s quirk tho, so we can’t be sure which is the truth! (I like to think she can turn visible if she wants, but that’s just an headcanon with very little basis haha)

WHY YES ANON I think they could be the bestest of pals, I’ve actually drawn them together now and again cause I like the idea of them being friends so much - a list of some of the things Bakugou and Jirou do together:
make fun of Kaminari (Kaminari feels attacked and liked it better when Jirou was convinced she didn’t like Bakugou)
share music recs and go to concerts together (when it’s big ones they particularly care for they stand in line The Whole Day and at first it used to be sorta awkward but now being together makes the hours fly)

Yeah yeah yeah yeah!!!!! Actually I’ve been thinking about this A LOT in the past couple of days and my conclusion ended up being that the key would be either for Kirishima to know Bakugou since they were really young OR for him to not attend Bakugou’s same middle school? Like, if they developed their personalities together, having someone like Kirishima around since they were kids could have made Bakugou develop differently, but if we go with the “they met in middle school” scenario then I think Kirishima would have had the same sort of...soothing? Effect on Bakugou only if Bakugou didn’t see him as a threat to his dream of being the only kid from that middle school to enter UA. Well, a scenario in which they had known each other since they were small young babies and Bakugou reached middle school going “the only one from this middle school to enter UA is gonna be me and Eijirou”, that would have been hella cute wouldn’t it hahaha growing up with a notion of us instead of just me would have changed Bakugou a lot, I’m pretty sure :D

lemme just clarity something.. i really need to get this of this feeling
fat spoiler underneath the cut
the moment i saw ouma i already knew that hes gonna be one of my favs, and from chapter 1 i thought he was just kind of speaking bull regarding his organization - he lied about so much, why shouldnt he lie about his talent or his entire character? why shouldnt he lie about his “evil” personality?.. thats what i thought
i always had a feeling that his personality wasnt the one that he was portraying.. its weird to describe this, you can call it an instinct or an intuition i guess. that would make it easier to describe
his pranks were freaking ridiculous and the way he treated everyone was just incredibly hilarious. ultimate funnyman, thats why i thought lol. im joking, i actually thought hed be an ultimate liar who lies so much and so good that his entire identity is based on it, which means that he doesnt even know himself whether what he says is the truth or a lie
and that made me really sad, so i started to feel really sympathetic towards him. his events were rlly qt, especially the last one. i mean, come on? “i stole your heart”? if that isnt adorable, i dont know what is
on the other hand, he constantly claimed that he hates liars etc... so that made me think.. what if he actually hated himself? which obviously made me even more sad. you know, all these thoughts just went wild...... just like my emotions
during the 5th class trial i BELIEVED that ouma was the one in the exisal, despite the evidence that he........... was the one who died. i just didnt want him to die, i desperately did not want him to die.
but... planning his own murder????? ? ? ??? he was willing to get his guts crushed...................... for ending this killing game?? WHICH HE COULDNT END? this made me really sad.. and just thinking about this makes me tear up. i mean komaedas case was similar.. and even tho komaeda was one of my favs, i didnt feel this emotional shizzle... but oumas death made me suffer... A LOT
i cried a ton during the closing argument.
also.. “i wasnt boring, right?” that hit was critical, my health went from 100 to 1 in seconds
and then... the 6th chapter. the investigation. really just took the cake
his weird organization is just for pranks and its like family for him.. but what about his actual family? .............. >_<
people in universe hated him so much.. when he was in reality just a lonely dude who had no fun in life who then decides to make his life fun by running an organization in which everyone just does harmless pranks.
i mean, he was pretty confusing and quite the jerk, but in the end he was multiple steps beforehand and planned every lie he made just to end this entire game... to the point where he even sacrifices himself for this purpose
for me, the funny thing is.. i knew this all beforehand.. or more like my instincts told me that this is gonna happen. and this... makes me even more sad....
but ever since his death was confirmed i feel just super empty.. i rlly miss him man. i wanted him to survive this game, but characters that are as intelligent as him usually never survive.... . .

Hey I don't ship sns so I don't really know what goes on but what do you mean by sns = sasuke exclusion and naruto wanking? Just a curious person over here 😅
I didn’t say SNS = Sasuke exclusion and Naruto wanking, I said it’s based off a lot of that. More so the shippers than the ship itself (But that’s really the case with sasuke in a lot of ships and that is why I don’t particularly associate with any shipping fandom..but sns takes the cake lol) . The fandom consists of mainly naruto uzumaki stans (and i love him!! I love the sunshine boy but no fav is perfect) with a blind sense of hero worship. They view Naruto as this untainted perfect guy who can do no wrong, that saved~ sasuke using the power of
Like sasukes entire existence revolves around him, like he begins and ends with him, like he is the only thing that matters to him, like he is obsessed with him
(no matter how unhealthy that sounds lol), like sasuke as an entity can only exist codependent to naruto. It’s hard to articulate what point i am trying to get across but some examples I can think of at the top of my head
-Something they bring up a lot ‘sasuke cared more about naruto than itachi in the reunion arc’ and it’s literally???? Sasuke, was of course worried to hear his best friend is target to a man who murdered his entire family but the entire volume (17) was filled with flashbacks of the time sasuke’s entire family was murdered. He headed towards itachi with his sharingan activated because of the sheer emotion caused by ‘that man’ being there. When he saw itachi it was blind rage and hurt because after all this itachi ignored him…and ofc we all know what happened next. It gets annoying seeing such a massive sasuke moment get turned into hE lOveS nAruTo sO mUCh. I don’t see Sasuke stans attempt to make Narutos rasengan scene about Sasuke?? Why is Sasuke getting mentally tortured turned into lOvE??
-They praise Naruto for the first fight and it’s like? How can you sleep on the fact that Naruto just told sasuke he would break every bone in his body to make him understand his feelings of wanting to bring him back…but it’s okay because he said he’s doing it beCauSe HE’s A fRiEnD.
-’Sasuke wanted to kill Naruto because he is his oNLY frIEND the ONE he CaRES ABOUT THE MOST’ Naruto is Sasukes best friend, given fact. But Sasuke never showed any discrimination in how much he cares about the members of team 7..he loves all of them..any of them would have awakened mangekyo for him as shown when he awoke kagatsuchi during his Bee fight and the fact that whenever he thinks about team 7 he always thinks about all them is further proof. It’s like they are forgetting Sasuke just intended to leave the village quietly but both Sakura and Naruto chased him and he initially told them the exact same thing. ‘dont mind me anymore’ when Naruto attacked him first, sasuke was like ‘i have no choice do i, naruto?’ and bitch punched him into the valley. The fight at first was just a petty sasuke goading his strength to Naruto bc of Itachi’s ignoring towards him..and then escalated to his manipulated past leading him to want to kill Naruto bc the way to awake mangekyo (as he knew at the time) was to ‘kill your best friend’..something he didn’t do because ‘i will not be your puppet’ ‘i didnt want to obtain power doing it the way he told me to’ but nO it’s because he LoVes nAruto MorE tHan AnyThInG THats WHY he ChidOriED hIM and AlmOSt RyukA JUTsud HiM. I do think some factor of it was at the end he couldn’t kill his best friend while he was helpless, but sasuke doesn’t really lie about his feelings- he is pretty straight forward usually.
-They also praise naruto for the land of iron arc but that is arguably his worst moment. Sasuke having just fought danzo made the source of his distress very clear: the massacre’s truth, the massacre being thrown at his beloved older brother, and the way the Uchihas were treated in Konoha prior to the massacre. The moment I knew how much pain it was giving him was when he was shouting ‘how many uchihas did you kill in order to get that right arm?’
and here is where the issue comes in. Naruto knows the truth, Obito told him. Yet, when he seeks out Sasuke he tries to make the issue of genocide #relatable. oh sasook ik about loneliness too, did i tell u about the time i was sO alone??? Haha i could have been like u, nvm that ik about the curse of hatred and watch me not mention the issue of the mass genocide!11! Youre just angry bc u LOVE ur family : )
And his ass gets praised for it??? it’s so confusing??? He just ignored a national crime on behalf of his village (as an institute) and he gets away with it bc yOu are My fRiend
These are a few examples but I could go on. Idk if they self insert into sasuke, or use him to blindly wank their fav but it’s annoying enough to make me step away from the fandom. Like, chill mate its not that deep. it’s just anime, you don’t have to lie to yourself and keep saying sasuke/naruto hate _ and only love each other!11!! it’s very transparent and almost pathetic. No one ever choked from swallowing their pride and facts are facts even if you turn a blind eye.
I still ship SNS by the way, it gets a pass because Naruto always tirelessly wanted to understand sasuke..he also wanted to end the cycle of hatred and stop history from repeating itself which is pretty noble. In terms of sasuke, growing up and seeing naruto trying to bond with people gave him hope and I think thats beautiful. The bond they share represents so many themes of the story, it’s kind of like they are a ‘it all leads to this’ type thing. Their dynamic is also hella cute and they had some cute ass moments as kids.The bond is also real deep, its like soul deep. The relationship itself is very unhealthy because theyre both insisting they are right and one of them tries to shove his opinion down the others throat and the other reacts violently to it. After it’s resolve its great tho so there we go it was worth it. I love sns despite how messy it is but the fandom has it’s hand far up it’s own ass and feeds itself its own bullshit. They claim they are ‘real’ fans and pretend they own this fictional ass guy yet use him to wank their fave..yet erase some of his most important bonds and character arcs to wank their fav. It’s ugly and i want no part of it.

it most definitely is not fucking okay. it’s tiresome. its bothersome. if you wanna blather my ear off about ota and how important it is - and not mean it as an exclusionary term the way so many mean it - then lets give all the characters involved their own importance and standing. diggle doesn't only matter when he’s propping up the other two white faves. like, please, he is his own person with his own life and i wanna talk about him a while and how he came to be this person, and where this wisdom in him comes from, and the sadness in him comes from and how come that he is so well balanced and how hard he tries, to look that way. if he fails, and breaks sometimes and how he puts himself back together.
or if he’s not the type to do that at all!
maybe john is with himself the way he is with everything else. maybe he is the kind that feels conflicted and is in great pain and lost when he doesnt know what to do, how to solve a problem. but once he makes up his mind, that’s it. he will be unshakable from then on, and he will force everything to make sense because he has already decided and THAT is where this sense of certainty and security that he gives off comes from
but tho i have these thoughts i would love to compare them to other people’s. i would love ot hear more talk of john, of the workings of his mind, expand my own understanding of him. i cant do that if everything circles back to the two assholes in love he shares a tea with.

Yes where? how did john and lyla fall in love? who fell first? why does john love her? why does she love him? as in, what are the traits that one is most drawn to in the other? what are the things that they appreciate the most? are attracted to the most? you have one of the greatest, best love stories of Arrow here - these people fell in love when they were at war.
how did that fail them? how does it feel, when love fails you? how does it leave you? how does it change you? how did it change john and Lyla? what did they do differently the second time around? do they think about the mistakes they made, do they knowledge them. how do they deal with the things that never change: their pov-s about the world, about right and wrong, means and the ends. how do they deal with their differing ideas on necessity and morality? at the end of the day they must agree with each other on at least a part of their worldviews.
who is this man anyway? how does he like his coffee? what smells can’t he stand? is he the kind that does spring cleaning? who, between him and lyla, goes grocery shopping more often? how does he like to be kissed, touched? how do john and lyla prefer to fuck? these are all valid questions! who is the one between them with a real taste for pretty things (i think it’s john); who likes to go shopping for tickets? both, neither? who goes to war and comes back with souvenirs? what cant they stand about the other? the little bits of irritating habits? do they ever laugh about those? what does a fight between them look like?
how did it feel when John left for the army again? what did they talk about? what did lyla feel? what did john feel? how would it hurt them to see their marriage flounder so dangerously for the second time. they are both matter-of-fact people but they are both people who love with their whole hearts. how many times can the two same people break each other’s hearts? and yet they keep loving each other. i mean - come on!
can john imagine having a daughter? he’s the realist, the practical person. to him a never-there daughter is imaginary. but he was still very upset when he learned what barry had done. does he think about her? does he talk to lyla about her? does this sara they have never met come up when tehy talk about having another child? does it scare them?
Or about how he went from seeing Andy and literally was having hallucinations and then his story was just wrapped up. Since his s/l was my favorite last season it disappointed me so much how his s/l this season played out. So much potential wasted.
OH ANDY. people talk about oliver’s sacrifices a lot but imagine for a moment of oliver had to kill thea with his own hands. because making a parallel with the white male fav is the best way to get ppl to stop and think, so yeah i went there.
imagine sara having to kill laurel, felicity having to kill her mother.
john was so shaken, so traumatized that he doubted his whole world. he didnt know what was right and wrong anymore and for a man who relies so much on those set definitions that is like having him continuously tumbling down a rabbit hole.
he sought some steady ground in a structure that he knew, that he had relied on before: the military. he wanted the simplicity of being a soldier again. of not having to decide right and wrong, of just following orders. he wanted to detach himself from people he had failed, from the normal life he couldnt adjust to, from the every day responsibilities because how could be fulfill them when he couldn’t judge anything right. which is very important for someone like him. he needs a structure, clear lines that he needs to keep himself within. he believes those clear lines will keep him from making huge mistakes in judgment - he told this to oliver in s1 when oliver started fucking around with Helena and making excuses for her murderous streak.
this is literally like when oliver went back to lian yu after season 1 man.
the military failed him. he coudlnt rely on anyone thinking for him, making decisions for him. maybe it was also a kind of punishment though - going away.
no, it was. he hated himself so much over what he’d done that Deadshot - a man he’d hated for years - came to keep him company. which means that john hated his own self about as much as he’d hated Deadshot. which means that he really wanted to give up. john diggle wanted to give up on himself, to find some kind of atonement. or maybe he was just so tired and didnt believe he was worth it.
oliver got him out - john went back to his family. how did he and lyla reconnect? what did they talk about? how did he explain himself to lyla? did he? what exactly changed - how - in him, that he went from the man happy to rot in a cell to the man that wanted to fight for himself. was being with his family what changed him? was the team? oliver? lyla? was feeling how loved and dear he was to everyone whose life he’d touched what brought him back to some semblance of the man he was?
these are all things worth discussing.

Days is my favorite Kingdom Hearts game but I haven’t played it in a while and I don’t think I ever watched the movie version all the way through! So I watched it and liveblogged it.
I basically have the Saix’s monologue in the beginning memorized
Axel has said “got it memorized” at least 6 times within the first 10 minutes of this movie
Hayner, Pence and Olette run past these literal cult members without even looking

Quinton Flynn’s delivery seems pretty weird and flat now, which is weird cause I know he can do really well. maybe it was intentional, cause Axel hasn’t started developing a heart yet?
