Here’s my go at @trubblegumm DTIYS!
#my art#rottmnt#tmnt#rise leo#trubblegumm3k#trubblegumm#it took me about 7 or 8 iterations for me to be happy with Leo’s pose#and then when I started try to figure out the shadows I redid him 2 more times#for the background I was originally going to do a gradient and be done with it#but then I was the update with the youngest trio looking at the sunrise and thought I’d make a sunrise background#so I spent a few days working on one and looked at it and thought that maybe with the shadows it would look best at night#that’s when I found nowayjermaine on twitter and saw his background cheat sheet for the show#so then I spent almost 48 hours remaking my night background and then making the dawn one#anyway if I'm asked enough I'll post just the backgrounds

Thank you to everyone who joined my dtiys; all the entries were absolutely phenomenal and it was SOOOO HARD choosing. There were seriously so many more entries I wanted to showcase but simply didn’t have the space or time 😭 If you can, please check out the dtiys tag! Support artists guys I loved everything. I didn’t expect Bloodbath to get as much attention as it did, especially with how it started as a silly concept I mostly took as a joke. Every entry meant so much to me!!!!!

You KNOW I had to draw these two together
for @trubblegumm's DTIYS because I'm obsessed with their AU and I've been meaning to do fanart for bloodbath anyways (might do the rest of the boys if I have time latter)
Heavily inspired by this gif, I fell in love with the concept at first sight.

#trubblegumm3k#rottmnt#rottmnt fanart#rottmnt bloodbath au#rottmnt separated au#separated leo au#cw blood#cw flashing#cw flashing lights#HOPE YOU LIKE IT VAL! this was so fun to do!!!#I might use the dark one without the blood as wallpaper because I liked how it turned out ajhflkajdshfk#little artist note: at first the colored lighting i was planning to use red and yellow#yellow for my leo bc the first thing that stands out to me from the design are the golden marks of his mask and those are his conection to#draxum's design. so yellow-orangeish light for the boy#and i was gonna use red for Val's leo bc blood#but both were warm tones and i was already using a warm tone for the background so i went with blue bc is my fave color#but both boys use blue so it didnt stand out so much#and i end up using cosmo and wanda colors ajfhajsklghlaj#i loved how it tured out and im glad i chose those colors bc making the red and yellow marks glow wasn't on my original plan and#it would have clashed with the colors of the light#I like doing that kind of lighting. used it a lot on the little fanart drawings for the Stray game and fell in love#i need to do it more often#dg art#dg fanart
