7 months... That's how long it has been since Simon has seen his own front door. To be honest, He was sort of relieved to be back home, in his own personal space. Parking his car in his driveway, he looked over at his phone. -1 Celsius outside, "No wonder I was freezing my balls off earlier. Being in Mexico really fucked up my cold tolerance..." he sighed pulling up the bottom of his head scarf.
Silently he opened the car and headed to the door, fiddling in his pocket for the keys. "Fuck, where are they." he cursed under his breath. As he was busy scrambling for his keys, some curious quiet footsteps came ever so closer.
"Hi, pardon my intrusion but you live here?" A female voice spoke behind him, "I don't mean to be rude or anything." he sighed, he was still wearing his mask. Hoping to have her easily leave afterward he answers, quietly.
"I do, I was off on business..."
"Ahh! Okay, no wonder I have never seen anyone here!" Simon sighed; his pockets were empty. Perhaps they are in his car... "Well, you see, I guess I could say I'm your new neighbor. I moved in about 3 months ago! Oh, my name is (y/n) by the way!"
"Simon..." Simon turned around to face the young woman, she yelped and jumped back. "Pardon my uh... appearance. I don't really take this off, just so you know..." He pointed at his mask. Her face, which was once shocked, turned quickly into curiosity, and she cleared her throat.
"Y-yeah, sorry I yelped," She chuckled, "It does catch people by surprise. But no worries, I'd still like to get to know you!" She fiddled with her hair, and Simon stood still for a moment. Usually, anyone that has seen him often meets him once and then never again. So, this reaction was nothing short of shocking to him. To be honest, He hoped she was being literal.
"That's very kind of you, But honestly not necessary." He walked past her and back to his car, looking through the window for his keys. Thereupon the seat, there sat his keys, how conveniently placed. He pulled the handle, but the car door didn't budge. "You ought to be joking..." He groaned; he laid his head on the top of his car.
"You need help there, neighbor?" She leaned on the hood of his car, "left your keys inside, and the car auto-locks, honestly, that's bad luck." Simon rubs his temples, looking over to the woman who had such an innocent face despite her light mocking. Simon cackles, the two shared a sense of humor.
"Well, besides having to bust my car door open. How could you help me, neighbor." (y/n) smiled seeing him play along with her, "To be honest, not really looking forward to doing the first option."
"Well, I'm glad you asked! No door-busting will be needed today because I know it might not look like it, but I know how to pick locks!" She smiled, skipping around him to the other side. "You know you're not the only one they avoid." She lightly nudged Simon to the side so she was in front of the car lock. She bent down, taking a small pack out of her purse. Simon couldn't help but be curious about her comment. People ignored her too, but she looks perfectly normal.
"What do you mean, they all avoid you too?" She hummed in response, nodding her head.
"They get off that I'm single and own my own house. and secondly, they all get suspicious cause I'm a mechanic. I run a pretty popular shop with lots of clients so, of course, I get off pretty well!" She looks up at Simon with a shy smile, "Most people in this place are families or older folk who do whatever say anything they please. Mainly, traditional folk, so I don't really mix you see..." One last small click and the door lock pops, "Viola! Easy as pie!" She opens the door and steps aside.
"Y-yeah, thanks..." Simon steps forward and grabs his keys, "That's quite the scary skill you have there." she closes his car door, raising her eyebrows in amusement.
"Who knows I might invite myself in to see you," She laughed and turned away, "I really won't so don't worry okay? but Imma head back now, I'll leave you to settle in! I bet it's been a while since you've been home." She went to the front of his driveway, "I'll stop by sooner or later, maybe we can hang out for a bit neighbor!" She smiled as she waved, "Rest well Simon!"
Simon clutched his keys, waving back shortly then heading to his door. Unlocking the door, he chuckled "Yeah... See you then, Neighbor."

I am... so worried about the ATLA live action serie. It's been a roller coaster of hopeful/afraid feelings with each announcements, I want it to be good so bad, but I also have the whole show ready to go for a rewatch if it turns out to be bad and I need a brain cleanser. Are you planning to watch ?
Ah, probably not. I think the cartoon was perfectly satisfying, as far as canon goes, so unless the LA is particularly exceptional, I'll give it a miss. I don't watch much TV anyways, and so I like to save my bits of time for things that are more my speed regardless.

She's documenting every little quirk, bad habit, and personality deficiency in her notebook to be added to the next character with serial numbers filed off that ends up in one of her books!

I honestly don't eat trashy fast food all too often! If I had to pick? probably KFC or like... idk if this counts but little caesars? They're both mediocre, yeah, but KFC is probably the best when it comes to the trashier side of things imo, and little caesars has a whole bunch of DND memories connected to it, plus its real cheap relative to a whole lotta other places

Oh hi! Yes we have LIDL actually and we love it 😂 (we pronounce it phonetically, with all the letters "λιντλ"). North Greece has the biggest Lidl in the Balkans, I've heard.
There are products from all over the world (mostly European) and I think occasionally they bring Scandinavian products, too.
Funny thing: Lidl sells many things as you know, but not always top quality. So we have this meme in Greece. When we consider a person or a concept to be of secondary quality or a mock-up of something better, we say it's from that market chain. E.g. "boyfriend from (the) Lidl" , "security from (the) Lidl", "president from (the) Lidl".

Ahh, domestic life is surely a spender. From being a classified asset to just a housewife due to your kids. Honestly, you envy your husband for still being in his task force. Simon, being gone for long periods of time, is usually good at helping out but today he's been particularly difficult.
You walked past holding your youngest in your arms, walking beside your husband sitting on the sofa and pecking the top of his head "Simon love can you start the laundry for me~" Simon glanced over and hummed. "Thank you." You would smile and go tend to the babies. Going back an hour later and the laundry hasn't been touched. Did it irritate you? Yes, immensely. But you put the benefit of the doubt that he had some other things to do. You looked around the house to see Simon exactly where he last was. Yes, you don't say anything about it.
Off the go make dinner for every one you make Simon's favorite since you had yet to celebrate his return. It was a lovely dinner, fighting with your older toddler to eat the food. Eating your food, Simon finishing before you. "Thank you for the food dove~" he wrapped his arms around your shoulders; you leaned back into his chest.
"No problem, Simon," you relaxed your eyes as his lips met your forehead. Cries echo through the house, "little one must have heard us eating." He whispered.
"I'll handle it, can you handle the kitchen for me?" Simon nodded and you went to handle the baby. It took you a small while, a cranky baby in all situations means bad time; That took you about an hour tops. You, exhausted and somewhat anxious, went to grab a bottle of water. While passing by you saw Simon at his desk doing something, you're unsure of what exactly. Then again it didn't matter to you. Walking into the kitchen to grab yourself some water. You take one step before stopping in your track, the kitchen wasn't even cleaned! AT ALL. You didn't know what He was on today but you were mad. "SIMON RILEY!" You hear him rush down the stairs.
"What's wrong? You okay?!" Simon's face was written with concern, you only looked back at him unamused. You grabbed him and moved him in front of the fridge.
"Knees, now!" You said sternly, Simon looked back visibly confused. "Did I stutter Riley?"
"No ma'am," he did as told, keeping his eyes on you the whole time. Honestly, he prob thought things were going to go another way. With your hand, you grasped his cheeks under his chin and directed his face to the messy kitchen.
"What did you tell me earlier?" His expression turned from 'oh~' to 'oh shit' real quick. "Now, within the next 30 minutes, I want this kitchen sparkling. Do I make myself clear?" You stared deeply into his brown eyes; his breath was heavy. He gulped loudly and then nodded. You chuckled and smirked, "Good boy~" Your fingers trailed his neck, and you kissed him softly. "Finish before 20 minutes and I'll reward you, Simon~" you waved at him as you walked out of the room; leaving the man on his knees, speechless, and very 'frustrated'. He never cleaned so fast in his fucking life.
