In the fifties and sixties most of the songs on the radio were either about romantic love or heartbreak love ... like falling in ... falling out ... being jilted or sometimes unrequited love.
In 1966 Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio took a different tact when writing a love song ... showing a darker side ... how life looks like to a person who is totally without love.
'The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore' was recorded by the Walker Brothers and became a big hit.

Hindi kinaya ng dalawang Filipino boxers ang mga kamao ng counterparts na Japanese sa Kokugikan Arena sa Tokyo nitong Sabado, Feb. 24, ng gabi.
Parehong taob via knockout sina Jerwin Ancajas at Jonas Sultan.
Inabot ng nine rounds si Ancajas bago tumiklop kay Takuma Inoue sa main event ng card.
Ang oras: 44 seconds pa sa round.
Nakatiyempo si Inoue (19-4), binigyan ng matinding kanan sa sikmura si Ancajas (34-4-2). Hindi binalik ng kaliweteng Pinoy ang depensa, sinundan ng Japanese champ ng isa pang malakas na kanan na lumanding sa parehong parte ng sikmura.
Puporma pa si Ancajas nang biglang napaluhod, tukod sa lona ang dalawang kamao. Hindi na siya nakatayo, sumenyas ang referee na tapos na ang boksing.
Sa unang pagkakataon ay naidepensa ni Inoue, nakababatang kapatid ni Japanese star Naoya, ang kanyang WBA bantamweight title laban kay ex-champ Ancajas.
Sinikwat ni Takuma ang vacant championship noong April nang talunin sa puntos si Liborio Solis.
Sa non-title bantamweight undercard, mas mabilis ang dating ng talo ni Sultan kay Japanese Riku Masuda sa first round.
Natikman ni Sultan (19 wins, 7 losses) ang unang KO loss ng career nang abutin ng malutong na kaliwa sa bodega. Sinubukan pang tumayo ng Pinoy pero hindi umabot sa count.

Love Thy Neighbor
A man was returning home from a walk when a neighbor with whom he was having an ongoing feud, swore at him while holding a power tool in a threatening way.
Not wanting to get into a useless argument with his obnoxious neighbor, the man showed him the middle finger.
Shortly after, the police showed up at the man's door and arrested him charging him with criminal harassment.
When the case finally came up before a Montreal court, the judge did not hold back his contempt for the neighbor and the prosecution. He called the case against the man 'a bewildering injustice'.
In his ruling he wrote that "it's not a crime to give someone the finger" ... furthermore he wrote "flipping the proverbial bird is a God-given Charter-enshrined right that belongs to every red blooded Canadian".
After he found the man not quilty, the judge said that he found the case so deplorable that if he could have he would have thrown the case out but couldn't because the courtroom had no windows.
