Harry Styles has a great life. He’s a children’s librarian at the New York Public Library, he’s got wonderful friends, and he loves cooking, green tea, yoga, and his collection of bow ties. He doesn’t mind that his life seems a little structured, maybe even a little boring. But when Louis Tomlinson joins the library staff as the new Installation Coordinator, things become a lot less predictable. Louis gets under his skin right from the start, bossing Harry around, making noise during story time, and eating the last cupcake in the staff lounge. Louis may be almost offensively attractive, but Harry will not be succumbing to Louis Tomlinson’s charms, even if the rest of the library staff have.

“I know that,” Louis smiles a devilish grin patting Harry in the middle of his chest as he takes the bag, “but look at you personally assisting me,” he says looking in the bag and pulling out the Cheetos. I also know that my PA turns his phone on silent at night, and clearly, you don't. Waiting for a booty call or something?” Louis says turning on his heels and scurrying over to his sofa and plopping down. Harry swears he sees a puff of orange dust soar into the air when Louis opens the bag. He's amazed that couch is as clean as it looks.

Behind The Lights

"Ya know what..." Louis' voice comes from behind Harry and it's darker than anything he's ever heard from him before. It'd be sexy if it wasn't for their current situation. "What?" Nick instigates, "you his boyfriend? What's your name so I get the caption right?" "I think," Louis hisses as he closes the gap between himself and the pap, "you need to fucking leave and go back to whatever shitty part of Staten Island your greasy ass came from and get a real fucking job," on the last two words Louis grabs the man's camera from him and runs about a hundred feet back. It's so quick Harry almost misses it. And the pap is taken by surprise, too. "Gimme my fuckin' camera back, I'll call the police!" Nick shouts as he tries to run at Louis, but Louis' too quick and gets around him. He's laughing as he starts snapping shots of the man and Harry can't help but to smile. Louis reminds him a bit of Peter Pan when he's fucking with Hook, and that makes his heart swell just a tad. "And tell 'em what? That you're stalking someone and taking their photo against their will? Yeah that'll go over real well," Louis fires back. "I can do this all night pal, got the stamina of a fucking race horse." Harry mentally catalogs that for later. "I'm going to give you your camera back asshole," Louis says not even breathless, Nick, on the other hand, is panting hard. "You're going to leave or my friend Tank over here," he points to Harry's bodyguard (He'll tell him later that his name's Paul), "is going to shove this Nikon up your ass. Got it?" Harry watches Louis do something to the camera then toss it a good hundred feet, where Nick clambers to catch it before it hits the ground. "If I fucking catch you one more time giving my friend Harry a problem, that camera will be $3,000 worth of pretty mosaic pieces for my fucking sisters' art project, ya got it?"

What I’m Reading: January

New Reads:

1. Off the Record (tomlinsontoes) - Louis is an out of control teen heartthrob, Harry is hired to get him back on track and they both hate each other while they secretly don't.

2. What A Feeling to Be a King Beside You (itsprobablylarry) - Harry is the Prince of Wales and Louis is the Duke of Wellington. They fall in love.

3. Come and Get Your Love (swallowsmateforlife) - The last place Louis ever expected to find himself on a Thursday night was in the green room of the biggest band in the world, standing awkwardly against the wall while his little sisters flutter around excitedly from band member to band member, getting t-shirts signed and posing for photos with the band’s official photographer.

4. Heart Open, Bloodstain on my Sleeve (silkbombs (mulberrygrey)) - Harry's the long limbed, gangly, sweetheart who just happens be a high profile art thief who conducts heists for a living and Louis' the loud, pushy art student who just happens to steal his heart.

5. Just Hear This and Then I’ll Go (allwaswell16) - Former boy band member Louis Tomlinson can’t stand pompous indie artist Harry Styles, but with a new record label to launch he is going to have to endure his pretensions to snag up and coming new artist Liam Payne, who happens to be Harry’s oldest friend. Luckily, Liam seems to be very interested in 78 Records and maybe a little more than interested in Louis’ best friend. Too bad Harry won’t be making this easy on any of them.

6. There’s No Way that I Could Share You (paladincoolcats) - Harry had always been possessive of Louis, even before they soulbonded. This is pretty much just a bunch of incidents where Harry, as Louis's alpha, gets jealous when other people get too involved with his omega.
