edmures reaction to tom of sevens here makes me kookoobananas. what did he mean by that.
they have a history, the two of them. but this reaction doesnt fit that history. instead it seems like edmure is pretending to be afraid of tom here as a front for jaime. why would he do that? we know that tom is a spy for the brotherhood without banners, communication intel about frey movement so bwb can ambush them. so edmure probably knows this, and knows about bwb, meaning that theres a nonzero chance that edmure knows that his dead big sister is back as a reanimated zombie somewhere out there. all this time thinking about a lady stoneheart-arya reunion and i havent given a thought about the edmure-lsh reunion

A mummer tree, Arya thought as she watched them dangle, their pale skins painted a sullen red by the flames of the burning septry.

Arya watches the Brotherhood hang the Brave Companions in a mummer tree. Looking back on this, I find this very reminiscent of what Jamie and Brienne see on their trip down the trident.
Despite the subject matter, I'm pleased with how this came out. The only problem with it is my recurring inability to do convincing smoke in this format.

Do you think when Jaime left Tom o Sevens alone in the tent with Edmure, he passed on rendezvous locations and/or means to contact the BWB that Brynden used after escaping? And perhaps ways for Edmure to signal information about his captors so they could ambush him, or signals that he would know mean an attack is imminent and so get to cover from Ser Forley's archers or even help out? Maybe that's why he was willing to go & leave Edmure in captivity? Or is that too fan-fictiony?
No, it's not too far out of the realm of possibility. I don't think Tom O'Sevens will need to specifically get signal information, Edmure will be sent to Casterly Rock in a large and well-guarded column that will be visible to track, especially by Riverlander natives.

She knew the singer by the woodharp he cradled against his jerkin, as a mother might cradle a babe. A small man, fifty from the look of him, he had a big mouth, a sharp nose, and thinning brown hair. His faded greens were mended here and there with old leather patches, and he wore a brace of throwing knives on his hip and a woodman’s axe slung across his back.

He was a small fellow, garbed in ragged green breeches and a frayed tunic of a lighter shade of green, with brown leather patches covering the holes. His nose was long and sharp, his smile big and loose. Thin brown hair fell to his collar, snaggled and unwashed. Fifty if he’s a day, thought Jaime, a hedge harp, and hard used by life.

i dont believe in the grand northern conspiracy as a unified theory of everything but it makes me feel ecstasy spiritual ecstasy. the northerners arent a hive mind they all have their own ambitions and conflicts between themselves AND connections to each other through marriage through history through shared tragedy. Arya meets the Brotherhood Without Banners for the first time.
It was fun having my first chance to do our trio. Mostly I stuck with the designs I made a couple of months ago. Go it took a little while to come up with the costumes to go with the faces.
For the most part, I’m happy with it though I worry that I misunderstood Mr. Martin’s description of Lem’s helmet. When I read the description of conical, I imagined a short Dunce cap. However, when I used "conical helmet" as search parameters in Google images I got something much more standard. I fixed it in post, but I'm still kind of embarrassed by it.
