I have a couple of questions concerning a giant bitch
So number one I actually commissioned the giant piece of shit known as calcium cat and I’m wondering what I should do, should I commission another artist to remake it or redraw the thing myself so I can get rid of the old version?
Number two I want to make AU similar in ideas to one small dream so that people can still enjoy it without having anything to do with calcium cat but considering I’m genderfluid not trans I’m just not sure if that would be appropriate
-Signed WhisperingCanvas
Well first thing to remember is that you didn't know at the time you commissioned her she was a bigot.
It's completely up to you for what you want to do though. You can commission another artist or just draw it yourself.
Also you don't need to be trans to make an au like her's. (Even if it's as a "fuck you" or even if it includes characters being trans.)
Although if some people want a VERY cute alternative the @dadmareau is super cute!!!

Sorry to be agitated in your asks, but I just finished catching up on V8 and I'm hung up on a LOT but one of the big things I haven't seen many people talk about is the attitude towards Atlas? The way the show has constantly beaten in that Atlas is BAD, the city as just being the wealthy (and the irl association that that brings to fill in the gaps), with no redeeming qualities and actual decent people being few and far between (hello, Cinder backstory), makes it horribly difficult for us as an audience to connect to its current peril. I had a group of fans I talk with genuinely say that the civilians of Atlas deserve to be slaughtered because, really, "are they even innocent?" - like, what??? How does a show gaff up so badly that the massacre of a city is cathartic or wanted?
You’ve come to the right place, anon, because we’ve indeed been discussing that over here! Not that I can easily point you towards any posts because my blog remains a disorganized mess lol.
In all seriousness though, yeah. All of the above. The more I think about it, the more I’m leaning towards the claim that the current treatment of Atlas is akin to the current treatment of Ironwood. Which is to say, made illogically, simplistically evil because RWBY does not know how to write (or is simply uninterested in tackling) a situation with this much gray in it. I say this because Atlas wasn’t treated as this #evil city up until late Volume 7/Volume 8. Originally, Weiss represented Atlas, which means we came to think of Atlas as we thought of her: flawed (very much so), but with a good core. Then the Vytal festival introduced us to Atlas students and we learned that Weiss, as the privileged Schnee, really is an exception rather than the rule. Atlas is also (perhaps even mostly) made up of those who are her opposite. Here’s a working class son whose family was screwed over by the Schnees. Here’s a fun, energetic faunus decked out in rainbows. Indeed, Weiss’ comment that she expects military-focused, highly organized fighters is blown out of the water, telling us that her view of the city (and what she as an individual supposedly represents of that city) isn’t accurate. Our other characters reinforce this. Winter appears to be the strict, military official... who eagerly greets her sister and cares that she’s making friends, not succeeding in her studies. Ironwood is the scary-seeming general... who actually listens to his allies and is 100% out to help others as much as he can. Time and again Atlas was shown to be a complicated, but ultimately caring place and that was shown to us through the people it produced and sent out into the world. Even when we hit Volume 7 and were introduced to a very dystopian looking Mantle, the story undermined that simplicity by having the group realize oh, Ironwood is crafting a plan to take out Salem and taking logical precautions to ensure his kingdom survives until then. He’s not just screwing over the city because yay rich people and boo the poor. Things began to fall apart when the group assisted in perpetuating these sacrifices (Amity), became an official part of this flawed system (huntsmen working under Ironwood), and actively undermined Ironwood in his attempts to get something good out of all this (secrets, lies, betrayal) while trying to paint them as the Good Guys to his Bad Decisions, but at least that complexity existed for the viewer to engage with, even if the show refused to acknowledge it.
But then... late Volume 7. Ironwood shoots an unarmed, allied kid for no reason and with that about-face came a slew of anti-Atlas writing. Whereas before things were a bit more balanced (such as showing us racism in Mantle too) now Atlas is the Bad City to Mantle’s Good one. See how everyone talks about how awful Atlas is, only worthwhile for the protection it can give Mantle citizen? See how the Happy Huntresses have moved from being pro-Mantle to anti-Atlas? See the lack of scenes that give Atlas a human, sympathetic face? Mantle gets that with toys lost in the streets, or abandoned family photos. Atlas has privileged folks having picnics during the end of the world and military men so stupid they run out of the room - right past the heroes! - screaming about coffee on their pants. Atlas is now the transphobic city when transphobia was never introduced in this world before, and it’s the place where our villain was sold as a slave and horrendously tortured with a shock collar for years. Are there at least other, redeeming characters in this story? Only one and the fandom has decided to hate him.
To be clear, I’m not out to claim that Atlas wasn’t framed as “bad” prior to this, but it’s crucial that nearly everything was filtered through Jacques Schnee. Ballroom full of idiotic, privileged folk who don’t care about the Fall of Beacon? They’re all Jacques’ guests (with Weiss and Ironwood standing as their contrasts). Awful brand on Adam’s face? That’s from the Schnee Dust Company too! Atlas was a city with wealth and that wealth not only created disparity, but allowed a few really bad individuals, like Jacques, to exploit systematic problems. Major flaws to be sure, but otherwise a city like any other, producing good that the audience is meant to love even as it grapples with its problems: Weiss, Winter, the FNKI group, and yes, Ironwood. It’s only when the story decided to turn Ironwood into a villain that we likewise saw this extreme turn towards Atlas as a fully corrupt, irredeemable city. Which makes a certain amount of sense to me because Ironwood represents Atlas and the city represents him in turn. They are are intimately connected. RWBY wanted simplicity despite failing to write a simple problem, so if you’re going to claim, “Ironwood wanting to save the people he feasibly can” is an objectively bad stance, you can’t make those people sympathetic. The audience can’t want Atlas to survive because that makes Ironwood too sympathetic in turn for trying to help them. The general trying to save a city filled with plenty of good people is a hero. The general trying to save a city filled with nothing but rich, racist assholes? Oh, he’s OBVIOUSLY evil.
You’re right that the way Atlas has been presented makes it difficult to care about its peril. I think that’s the point. It’s really easy to take what RWBY is currently saying at face value and I think that’s why so much of the fandom has reached a “are they even innocent?” mindset. You need to take that second step of asking things like, “So if Atlas is all irredeemable trash, does that mean we should hate Weiss too? If Weiss is an exception because of what Team RWBY taught her, does no one else in the city deserve the chance to learn what she did? What about Winter still working for Ironwood? What about the group’s friends still in the academy? The non-Atlas students attending school? People from other kingdoms who were in the city when the borders closed?” etc. Getting to the point of realizing, “Huh, I don’t think an entire city deserves to perish because of systematic problems largely outside of individual citizens’ control and a few, heinous assholes,” but that requires thinking past what the show is saying right here, right now.
RWBY now banks almost entirely on its audience believe whatever the claim of the week is. Starting with Ozpin in Volume 6, the show has made a habit of arguing things that are unsupported by the writing that came before this moment, or even, sometimes, the writing that’s happening right now. The latest in this long list is Atlas and, though disappointing, at this point I can’t claim I’m surprised.

THE JAMMIEDODGER VIDEO ABOUT JK ROWLING (as recommended by a very polite anon)
so I go point by point after the cut but in short: they should read more feminist theory, they are lying, they are not as coherent as they think they are but they make some points, notably about the rapid onset gender disphoria that’ll need to check in more depth later on.Most of their sources were unfortunatly either on points I already knew or already agreed with.  Also that woman ( the “cis” one not Jammy), should really stop thinking being born a woman is somehow a privilege.
So the video starts by saying three things I agree with :
1)      Biological sex is definitely real
2)      Women’s right and girls’ right need to be protected
3)      JK Rowling is entitled to like support and write whatever she wants
So far so good. Except it then goes on to say that TRA agree with that. Now maybe most do but at least some don’t. Don’t lie to me, Jammie Dodger.
They then go on to misrepresent what our problem with “cis” is. Are they going to spend that entire video about trans people at destination of the non educated on that subject without ONCE defining what a trans person is? They are aren’t they ?
“TRANSPEOPLE AGREE THAT BIOLOGICAL SEX EXISTS!!”
see earlier but given the number of people who are saying “sex is a social construct” and “sex is a spectrum” and “a neovagina is just like a vagina”, you may at least put a “most” in your statement here. Anyway this is not the problem we have, we wouldn’t even discuss this if it weren’t for the brain dead morons who argue with us about it.
“my biological sex -the one I was assigned at birth- was female”
is Jammie here telling me he knows biology exists but his sex WAS female ? It still IS female. You’re a female. Moreover you cannot say I know biology exists and I was assigned a sex. The entire “assigned sex” is a refutal of biology by implying doctors choose a sex for you. This is stupid.
Strawman. They are saying radfems have no argument against “gender identity is a real thing”. The lies. Gender identity is not a real thing it’s just gender stereotypes and gender is a tool of oppression for women, it’s sexist garbage. I also notice they don’t define gender identity, this is starting to be a pattern, this video is aimed to normies but the only thing they defined so far is terf.
They did 5 fucking minutes on “transpeople know that biological sex exists” I am already exhausted.
Oh my bad they defined “gender identity” as “the gender you know you are”. THANKS A BUNCH THIS IS SO HELPFUL . Define gender please I beg of you.
“They know they are a man but their bodies don’t match”
okay so you agree that man and woman are words that depends on your body right? Since it can “match”, they are not gender then ? Nevermind he then says that man is their gender identity. This is not making sense.
Ooooooh the floating head analogy never heard that one before, this is a stupid one because gendies also argue that their gender is innate (unless Jammie here specifically says he doesn’t think that I’ll act as if he agrees with that statement) so the good question would be if you were born as a floating head and never even had a body would you still be a woman? And my answer here as well as plenty of people I suspect is “men and women don’t make sense if we’re born as floating heads what are you on about?”
“transwomen needs women’s right too”
I know you think that is self evident but I’ll ask what exactly are the women’s right transwomen need. Abortion? Affordable periods product ? The right to have places free of male? oh wait. They are male so they can never have that can they ?
“so feminism also needs to believe in gender identity”
because if we don’t our feminism is only for females and we exclude males. Notice how they didn’t continue their logic by saying how THIS feminism excludes transmen and nonbinary? Because it does, but guess who actually need the women’s right of abortion for exemple?
“transmen don’t need women’s rights”
I FUCKING CANNOT YOU STILL NEED IT WTF ARE YOU ON ABOUT. OK I need them to define women’s right asap
“well JK Rowling said she supports trans rights”
funny how you can understand how those words are not a proof that she in fact does but you still started your video by “we support women’s rights !!!”
“adding [to Harry Potter] content that was LGBT+ friendly”
she added things that were gay friendly. I don’t remember her adding trans characters.
“transphobic” = saying men can’t become women. Whoah. The hatred.
“the lack of belief [in gender identity] is what she wants protected”
yes and ? Atheism, the lack of belief in a god, is protected. Gender identity existence only proof is some people saying it does exists, it is not a scientific reality in any way shape or form.
“His biological sex was previously female”
BUT WE KNOW WHAT BIOLOGICAL SEX IS WE SWEAR; Damn they spend 7 minutes on “transpeople know biological sex exists” and then keep acting like they fucking don’t.
After that they point blank say that gender identity is more important than sex, having someone who passes as an exemple. What about transpeople who don’t pass? How much you bet this will never be discussed in this video.
Anyway they follow that with that :
Tumblr media
Which is true but defining what a woman is does affect women actually (I know weird right)  so it’s completely irrelevant to the discussion here.
“When a large group of transpeople are telling you something is wrong please listen to them”
please afford women the same courtesy. We are a large group of women saying males are not the fucking authority on what womanhood is but we are told to shut up. Listen.
“we cannot take the behavior of the minority [online abuse] and group it onto the majority”
I agree with that statement but the majority still didn’t condemn the abuse. Honestly the people in this video did -just before saying HOWEVER but hey – but it is pretty rare to see TRA actually confronting the people who abused JK Rowling online, they cheered them on more than anything.
It is very telling how they spend more time in this video saying people collecting screenshots of the abuse JK Rowling suffered were “not cool” than the TRA giving them a bad name by actually abusing JK Rowling. They even say Jammy was also insulted online so TERF and TRA are as bad as each other right ?? Being called delusional or idiot is not the same as death threats sorry Jammy. (I doubt the “freak” one was from a terf tbh but even then, this is not even comparable) I mean didn’t you get at least one person saying they were going to kill you ? Because I did, and I have ,like, 200 followers. I find very weird that the woman here said “I received sexual assaults threats and this is as a cis woman!” as if women weren’t the primary target of sexual assaults threats. Yeah it’s the misogyny. What’s new.  You really should stop thinking you are somehow priviledged even when you are being sexually threatened ffs. What gender ideology does to a mf.
“neither of these sides are innocent”
oh come on, you cannot possibly means that the men who gave you sexual threats were terfs, this is ridiculous, you are just trying to excuse and diminish what people did to JK as per fucking usual.
 “persistent low level harassment”
it hasn’t stayed low level tho. Stop trying to say you and JK are receiving the same abuse it’s embarrassing.
JK Rowling’s essay having real life effects on policies for exemple has an element of thruth ,even tho we disagree on wether or not this can be a good thing but your are deluding yourself if you think people assaulting transpeople are the sort of people whose views are in any way influenced by feminists. This is laughable. Also please stop with the guilt tripping, we are not responsible of the mental health of transpeople, we are not their therapists, sorry.
I love how they implied that the guy who forced GNC kids to behave as their assigned gender would somehow give a letter of thanks to a feminist. This is implying “terfs” want the same things as this maniac which is just a straight up lie, terfs absolutely adore GNC people and are mostly GNC themselves.
“What rights of women are actually being eroded by the inclusion of transwomen ?” I am glad you asked !! Well apart from the freedom of speech since “terfs” are losing their jobs and being deplatformed because of this, we have the inherent dangers of replacing sex by gender in what the law protects : https://www.aclu.org/blog/speakeasy/firing-mom-because-shes-breastfeeding-sex-discrimination this is a link to a story about a woman who was said being fired for breastfeeding was not sex discrimination because men can lactate. Do you see the problem ? Moreover there is quotas for women in politics etc….Women fought for their quotas and now males can have them, who do you think an employer would prefer someone who probably will be pregnant at one point or someone who never will ? and let’s not forget the right for women to have women only places :Women in prison are raped by the trans identified males in it .
“I cannot think of a single right that is removed from me”
good for you maybe you should have actually researched radfems talking point before doing this video ? Your ignorance is not a good argument.
“transwomen can use the women changing room because they are women”
you keep saying that but apart from “they feel like women” you didn’t explain how they are women. This is the basis of this entire video and you never explained.  Also allowing any person who say they are women into the women’s changing room does not only allow transwomen does it ? It also allows lying freaks.
“You can protect cis women’s rights and transrights simulteanously” HOWWWWWWWWWWW, please tell me how to keep female only spaces (women’s right) while saying TWAW (transrights apparently according to them).
“transwomen can be the victims and cis women can do the voyeurism”
true but did you forget we actually live in the real world and in that one males are much more likely to be sexually harassing people than women ? It is a brazen form of lying to tell women that since theoretically other women can also be creeps they don’t have to worry about males. Get a grip. Live in the real world for a change.
“It doesn’t reference transwomen but men pretending to be women”
apart from “they feel it” you still haven’t told us what the difference is. You are aware nothing from an outside perspective distinguishes the two right ??
“there is no evidence of men pretending to be trans to enter female only spaces” and how would you know they are pretending ? This is the same problem again and again, if you define transwomen as men who feel like women then there is absolutely no way of verifying someone really is trans. And that’s a lie anyway since we do actually have proof of that happening?? There was that video making the room on radblr a while ago of a clear male pissing in the women’s bathroom saying (lying) that he was trans.
Yeah actually radical feminists would accept transmen in their bathrooms, but it’s not an easy question with an easy answer to know how to check they really are transmen. Although notice how they are again only talking about transpeople that passes ? I would feel safer with Jammy in my toilets than Hannah Mouncey for exemple :
Tumblr media
That is so obvioulsy a man in a dress.
“ If a transman with a beard and penis and balls can go into a women’s toilet and that is deemed okay because of his biological sex what is to stop a cis man from doing the same”
I am sorry but are you saying a transwoman cannot have a beard and penis and balls ?????????? This is incredibly transphobic of you, you said that gender identity Is just feeling like a gender, how exactly does that mean transwomen cannot have beard ? If you want to know, radfem are arguing for a third toilet for transpeople, that’s our solution. What is yours ?
Ok the next part is racist I’ll skip that thanks
On accusation of TERFery intimidating people and organizations “we haven’t seen these” again, your ignorance is not an argument, I am posting these on Tumblr where cryptoterfs arer numerous. Why do you think that is ?
Are they seriously saying Nike and addidas “accepted” transpeople because they “realized it was the right thing to do” ?????? Those companies employs slaves IN WHAT WORLD DO YOU LIVE IN??
“trying to make transpeople look crazy”
the clownfish things were said online by real transpeople. We don’t need to invent thing to make transpeople look crazy, if there is  large enough group some people belonging in that group will say stupid shit .
“We support these rights”
when speaking about women victims of abuse. This is a lie, the Vancouver rape shelter relief is often targeted by transactivists, recently a gofundme for it was cancelled because of transactivists, they are quite litteraly stealing money from raped women. This is not a small, inconsequential part of transactivism.
“The trans-inclusionist views expand the meaning of women to include transwomen”
It doesn’t expend shit actually since it excludes transmen and non-binary. If anything it reduces it.
They go on to say that transwomen deserves protection as women because of their murder rate. It doesn’t explain how being seen as women will help them here and anyway it’s a bold lie considering their murder rate is actually quite low. They also fail to consider how depriving transmen and nonbinaries of those same women’s right might be a problem.
Again they make the distinction between transwomen and men pretending to be transwomen without a way to identify which is which. This is starting to get repetitive and tedious. The problem is not that all transwomen are predators is that there is no way to see a difference until the predators acts, until a woman gets hurt, so accepting transwomen is accepting predators and saying transwomen feelings are more important that the women being hurt because of this. I disagree. The tiny tiny percentage of transpeople doing bad things is actually the same percentage as men doing bad things. If your argument could be used to say women only spaces shouldn’t exist at all because not all men are dangerous maybe you should reconsider your argument because I will not reconsider women’s right to have female only spaces.
“If you push transwomen out of female only spaces you push transmen in”
Yes. I don’t even see where the problem is here.  Now why don’t we analyse the fact that if you push transwomen into female only spaces you push transmen out of them ? I don’t think transmen belongs in men’s prisons, do you ?
“Transpeople don’t dispute biology and don’t impact how female only diseases are treated”
eat shit. They do impact this, every woman trying to say “female biology” get shit thrown at her faster than you can blink, stop lying to me Jammy. Do you think I would get called a bleeder, a fetus carrier, a motherfucking birthing body if transactivism wasn’t trying to erase sex ? Don’t you think the sentence “men can have periods” is not eroding biology ? Fuck off
Back to JK, Jammy is saying her disabling comment on her blog was not conductive to a conversation, I have to salute the straight face he says it with because do you really think a nice educated conversation would have taken place on JK Rowling’s essay ? They flooded her children’s book tag with porn for fuck sake.
“Thre is no explosion in young women who wishes to transition” sources ? Because it does seem to be true :https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/jsm.12817
“the detransitionners rate is actually really low” hard to know but most people who transitioned did it not so long ago since transgender is a recent trend, we will have to wait and see to have a more robust number. But maybe they are right on that one, this is not going to be the one argument that changes my views unfortunately.
“Does that mean we should stop people from getting plastic surgery then ?”
lol you don’t know the radfem stance on plastic surgery do you ?
“There is more significant transphobia than homophobia”
sources ? Because transition is used as converstion therapy in Iran so it is at least untrue in one country.
“If transmen transition to escape womanhood why is there transwomen ?”
You really didn’t research this did you ? the radfem answer is that transwomen are either gay men who have gender disphoria OR AGP (autogynephiles) read this if you want to learn more about it: https://grahamlinehan.substack.com/p/the-elephant-in-the-room
“why would people who have male privileges choose to give that up”
you are assuming they lose their male privileges but I will need sources on that because most transwomen do not pass and are treated more as special men than as women.
“We have already shown you that transphobia is far more rife and damaging than homophobia”
did I miss that part ? When ? You just said that ? Without backing it up ?
“anti trans narratives constantly contradict itself”
No we do not, we are feminist so we OF COURSE we analyse men and women differently, this is an issue of gender which radical feminism posit as an hierarchy, trying to explain transwomen and transmen with the same arguments is doomed to fail because they were not equal in their relation to gender to begin with. Do you think black people trying to pass as white do it for the same reasons white people try to have more black features ? Of course not.
“What am I a lesbian or a homophobe ?”
You are both, you are a lesbian in denial with a deep case of internalized misogyny and homophobia. You know yo can be both sexist and a woman right ? Well it’s the same here.
I heard “Simone de Beauvoir” and I knew they were going to be really fucking stupid with that “One is not born a woman but rather becomes a woman” quote and THERE IT IS! Please read the book. She is not saying male can become women if they try hard enough, she is saying basically the same thing JK Rowling’s quote said which is that “womanhood” as it is forced on women is alien and not natural and the point is that we should not accept it, it’s a feminist quote on femininity and I am so sick of men using it to say that they are women.
Transactivists acting as if sex recognition patterns don’t exists is exhausting so I won’t comment on “nobody checks if you have XX chromosomes before passing you over for a promotion” other than to say : passing over for promotions happens a lot when women are pregnant and after giving birth stop acting as if misogyny is unrelated to our reproduction capacities it is fucking insulting.
“transwomen will support [fights against tampon tax and FGM] too”
FGM was a bad choice here considering transactivists tried to stop a bill against FGM .  I will need sources here actually since I never seen a transwoman fighting for women’s right in my life.
Ok I let a lot passes here because I’m tired but we are 48:40 in the video and fuck you “intersectional feminism” is not about males. It was for black women. It is not reductionist to say women are people with a vagina, this is just a definition, and one that applies to 50% of the population at that, there is litteraly no definition of woman that includes more people than that.
Imagine thinking “women are people with vagina” is reductionist but not calling women “vulva owners”. Please , I am begging for coherence.
“transwomen who experience greater abuse than cisgender women will ever experience” .
This is revolting. I don’t have any other words. I am glad this is the end of the video because I would have stopped immediately if this was at the start. What abuse transwomen can experience than ciswomen cannot ? Because I would have thought forced pregnancy was horrific but maybe this doesn’t compare to being misgendered?
“most people are comfortable with transwomen going into women’s bathrooms” https://www.bsa.natcen.ac.uk/media/39147/bsa34_moral_issues_final.pdf
It says 13% of women are at least uncomfortable with sharing bathroom with transwomen, why are we ignoring their wishes? Because 0.1% of the population wants to ?  Whatever, the really interesting thing in this study is that for this question they defined “transwomen” as someone who has gone through all the steps to become a woman aka someone with surgery. I find extremely misleading that this is used for bathroom bills which defines transwomen as male identifying as women. Do you think the numbers would be the same if they specified the transwoman in question still has a penis ? Which is the case for most transwomen btw?

Tumblr media
Almost immediately after the last post this is an anon ask I've gotten and here's my reply. If you would like you can check out @wallstermelon 's post on her blog. Since I have apparently been blocked by her I can't reblog it. This is in no way meant to dissect everything she wrote. Especially because as a cis person I am not a target of her post. These are just a few things that stood out to me and why I feel it's important to take a stance against the transphobic things she has said (which is what you're calling spreading hate)
I just want to first say that, as of now, I identify as a cis person. And before I say anything else - if a considerable number of a certain section of people told me that something I had said and done has offended them and is discriminatory towards their identity, I would simply apologise instead of arguing that it was not my intention to do so and furthermore it's not what I meant to do, so how they feel is actually wrong and I can't help if my words hurt them.
Here's a small section of her long post that was under a 'read more'
Tumblr media
Here's a section of her answer to this anon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's two things I am pointing out:
1. As a cis person, wallstermelon has in her statements said multiple times that her words and remarks are not transphobic and/or transmisogynistic.
Now I certainly don't think people cannot or should not defend their statements if they feel they aren't wrong
However when it comes to this, a cis person cannot decide over multiple trans people on what constitutes transphobia and transmisoginy
A cis person does not have higher authority or moral ground on what can be considered as transphobic and transmisogynistic
It is not upto a cis person to decide that a trans person's interpretation or view of someone's gender fetishises transfem/transwomen when there are actually transfem fans of H that have said they have no problem with it
2. She says that her belief that Harry (and Louis) are non-straight are based on things that are substantial to her
Now here's a long post about Harry and gender and here's a post by my friend Asia with a very short and not elaborate answer to the this anon. I encourage you to read them.
But here's a few things that she considers substantial
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here are a few things trans fans have said about Harry and why it may be an indicator that he is trans
Harry often goes by the name H, a gender neutral short form of his name
How do we know this? From the mouths of the people who are around him/ related to him/friends with him
Has an obsession with pregnancy
How do we know this? From him. The multiple times he has put a balloon under his t-shirt or made a gesture with his hand to indicate pregnancy on himself, the time he said in a concert- we're all trying in reply to a woman talking about her own pregnancy, the time he said if I was pregnant I would do this
I just want to clarify I don't think it is upto a cis person to decide whether a trans person's speculation/thoughts about someone's gender is substantial or baseless. However I do want to point out that wallstermelon has said multiple times that she feels trans people's speculation about H's gender is –
Tumblr media
So when she uses things Harry or people close to him have said and done to believe Harry is non-straight, but when trans people do it to believe Harry is trans/non-binary, it is 'baseless interpretation to stand on and use as fact to speculate about harry's gender'
And this : saying she hasn't mocked trans fans when in fact by mocking trans people who interpreted She as a song about gender, she has ....mocked trans fans
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Saying that the things trans fans interpret to speculate on H's gender is baseless is fucking transphobic actually. Have a good day

Your explanation on the discourse was really interesting because... it catered entirely to the team? I know we all like this webcomic, and don’t want something we spend so much time on to have anything bad, but if we love something, it’s okay to admit there’s something bad or many bad things going on. There’s a least one member who’s name I won’t say that is without a doubt at fault and has said and done many horrible things, including saying they wrote their part just to anger fans
Let me put my view out there anon, even though I’ve talked about this at large before. First of all, as I’ve said ad-nauseum before, I will say that in the context of The Epilogues and Homestuck^2, I am someone who likes what is going on. I genuinely enjoy the direction of the story, with no external prompting, and the Discourse always catches me off-guard because I never realize what people are going to be arguing about next, because when I am going through the story, I really DO enjoy what I am experiencing. Of course it is not perfect, by any god damn means, however, I am parting from the basis that my opinion inherently differs from the vocally negative voice of the Fandom right now.
I am a Content Creator. I am a writer, and I have started dabbling in art recently. I have plans, and ideas, to write a book, I want to create an original setting, that I’ve designed through an amalgam of my experiences, my points of view, and the things I like, as well as my hopes and dreams. Do you know why I side with the Team and ‘cater’ to them when I talk about Discourse? Because. The Fandom. Fucking sucks right now.
I have voiced my opinion on the Epilogues, and had death threats and suicide bait sent at me because I DARED to defend them! I have seen the Team- The same Team that made Pesterquest, one of the most Fandom-positive pieces of media I have ever had the pleasure of playing through, being sent those same threats and suicide bait at a scale I cannot even begin to comprehend. I have seen Queer Authors express their identity and experiences in the text, and people twisting them in some delusional way to accuse them of being Queerphobic in turn.
Do you know why I seem to ‘side with the Team’? Because I like the content they are producing, and the ‘fans’ are a ball of vitriol that tells me that if I like the Epilogues, I am either delusional, a bootlicker, or evil. Because I see the ‘fans’ pop into a post the official Twitter is doing, about supporting BLM, and what I see is people ignoring the contents entirely to send the team insults and ask ‘WHEN IS HIVESWAP ACT 2′ like a broken record. Because I see the ‘fans’ latching onto someone on the Team like the ONE SOURCE OF ALL EVIL, and proceed to doxx her, call the police on her, and threaten her and everyone close to her until she has to step down and drop off the team, during a global fucking Pandemic.
Am I biased for the Team? YEAH of fucking course I am, because I like the things they are exploring, because I related to things they are writing, because I truly do believe they’re doing something fun and entertaining, and what I see in turn in the Fandom, is hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate HATE.
You say that it’s okay to admit there’s something wrong or bad in content you like, but at this point it’s that the worst of the Fandom doesn’t even like the content. They actively do nothing more than dislike it, and consume it ONLY to be angry, threaten and throw insults around. And if you even so much as dare to claim that, hey, maybe these aren’t healthy habits of Media Consumption, and you should, you know, not keep following something that makes you actively seethe and that you go in with the inherent idea that everything being written is being made to hurt you, you get called ableist for daring to tell people that they should take care of their mental health and not stay in a constant state of anger.
It IS okay to admit there’s something you dislike, or many things you dislike in content you follow, so long as you actually enjoy the content overall. It is more than okay to be critical of things you like. However, there is a difference between being critical, and being hypercritical to the point of rage and bandwagonning. Take Roxy for example. Roxy. Roxy is one of my favorite parts of the Epilogues, and I have seen them beyond recognition by the Fandom. But because the trans girl Roxy Headcanon was so popular, there’s so much vitriol around it. And it is okay to prefer to read Roxy as a trans woman. I do actually! It is one of my favorite headcanons! My own name is Roxy! In fact, with the ‘dubious canon’ divide and the Team’s explicit encouragement of the Fandom to have their own takes and read, they have done MORE in the way of elevating headcanons that diverge from their content than basically any other content creator I’ve seen before.
But then, then people start down a negative spiral. Well, transmasc NB Roxy sure wasn’t something they expected, right? It is not bad representation in the slightest, between the Epilogues and the deeper exploration of Roxy’s feelings in the Pesterquest Route, they are a really solid and interesting case in my mind! But there’s not even the sliver of positivity to be found. Why, surely, the ONLY reason why Roxy would be a trans guy instead of a trans woman, is because the Team is aware of the headcanon and is trying to spite the fans! Ergo, transmasc Roxy is an ATTACK on Trans Women, and as such a transphobic addition to the story!!!
And in the process of doing so, you’re erasing the identity, experiences and relation a queer team has with a character they have messed with, and turning a positive piece of representation around to CALL the team TRANSPHOBIC for it. You’re ignoring the possibility that ANYONE could read Roxy that way, and that the ONLY possible reason for it is SPITE and SPITE alone. Imposing your view on the read of the character, twisting the context of the content around to make it to be negative, and keeping that furnace of hate and distrust going.
And this is. With. Literally. Everything. Again, I have been on the side of the Fandom that likes the content since the Epilogues came out. I have seen the Fandom ignore, and twist, the actual positive beats of the Epilogues like they never existed in the first place, and exacerbate the negatives. I have seen people call them literally evil, and throw extremely puritanical views of what kind of Media should exist, and what things should be scrubbed off of Media entirely, forever. I have seen the most minor of shit spark discourse, because the Fans are prompted to disregard every single positive thing and positive reading, and instead twisting authorial intent from something that could be fun, from a projection of their own experiences, into a personal assault that surely no one could ever enjoy.
If you ask me to see the bad in the content I like, and the creators that I follow, I ask you, too, to see the bad in the ball of vitriol this Fandom has become over the past year. My opinion is informed by the reaction the Fandom has had to the content I like, and what it has told to me, by the reaction I’ve seen them have, as well as by the words of the Authors on the topic, and the content they have pumped out. I have seen and read ‘receipts’, I’ve seen every last piece of discourse happen, no matter how minor it may have been, because I am lucky to be a mildly loud voice in the Fandom because of this blog.
So when I seem to side with the Team instead of the Fandom, know that I am not making an impulsive choice to cover up the flaws of content I like. I have seen enough going around to inform this choice, and I know who I’m defending. And if you think “catering” to the Team rather than the Fandom considering what the Fandom just did is strange, I honestly don’t know what to tell you. We just have inherently different points of view.

hopefully my final post on this matter
first i’d like to respond to this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
not sure why you said bullying has to be “through violence” (or implied it). you are and were seeking to intimidate me into changing my dni and my opinions and also to harm me by literally posting asks that you know will send people to my inbox. you are a bully because you “habitually seek to harm and intimidate those you perceive as vulnerable” like me and other transmed-safe stim blogs. you do this through making a blocklist that is basically an anon-hate hitlist, posting asks about, etc. we are easy targets to you because you can play victim by bringing up that you’re a trans women and a CSA victim and pretend to have a moral high ground. when i said “people on your blocklist” i meant the transmed-safe blogs, not the pedophiles. the pedophiles are an entirely separate thing.
Tumblr media
show me the pedophiles and terfs who harassed you for blocking me.
blocking me isn’t bullying. that’s perfectly fine and reasonable. what is bullying is putting names of people who have an opinion different from you on a list and proceeding to answer asks about it, thereby encouraging your followers to check out my blog and maybe leave a nasty ask.
i do not condone transphobia. yes, one can argue transmedicalism is transphobic. but there are also plenty of trans transmedicalists (actually, most of them in fact) and by the definition of transmedicalism i use (which is that transmedicalism is simply the belief that one must have gender dysphoria to be trans) is not inherently transphobic. now, some transmedicalists are transphobic and attempting to conform to a cis-dominated society. if you read my faq
Tumblr media
I explain this, and that I don’t want people who are assholes to interact, people who are assholes and use transmedicalist beliefs to attack others. and ultimately, my dni is for me and my boundaries, not for anyone else.
Tumblr media
lol i didn’t insult your trauma and gender. tell me where the fuck i did it, specifically. if i did in some way, it was not intentional and i am sincerely sorry. i never want to do that.
i never said you were being ableist by calling me out. i received two anons about it; i only posted one. i believe the anons’ grounds for this is you calling people freaks. me posting an ask isn’t endorsing what the person says (this also goes for the demon ask). i privated all of the posts about you almost immediately because i didn’t want anyone to attack you.
and yeah, i was rude. i was also trying not to have a panic attack. one could also say it’s rude to answer asks and keep them up namedropping people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i received three anons very close together all basically saying the same things. this is harassment, you were at a minimum complicit in harassment.
stop taking things out of context and antagonizing me and others. thank you.
edit: also, i don’t really feel like digging for proof but she is friends with and reblogs the posts of stolen gifs. it’s one thing to steal from like actual shitty people, another to steal from people with a difference of opinion. your taking something someone worked on and claiming it as your own.. that shows a lack of integrity.
edit2: please do not send her hate

Are you a terf?
I answered a similar ask a week ago that asserted that I was a transphobe. Am I a terf? We can break that down, however if you want to know if I’m a transphobe, short answer, no, I don’t consider myself a transphobe. Lol.
Longer answer:
Am I a Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist? Firstly, I am a radical feminist. Or, at least, I have radical feminist beliefs and try to put them into practice in my own life. Being a radical feminist is about liberating women. This is a pretty lofty thing to say, but it is the goal of the ideology, just like the goal of liberal feminist ideology might be “equality for all people.” As soon as we see these two goals, we can start to see a difference in the two, right? Radical feminists don’t necessarily argue for “equality,” because in a society where people are a part of oppressor classes and others a part of oppressed ones, what would be the goal? For everyone to be an oppressor? Radical feminists reject the status of men and don’t want to become ‘equal’ to oppressors but rather dismantle the systems that make women oppressed. One axis of oppression, the one radical feminists base their praxis on, is gender. Other axes must necessarily come into view; race, disability, sexuality, etc. but all of these are focused on how they affect women (ie, how does the experience of a white woman vary from a black woman? What privilege does a straight woman hold over a lesbian woman? How about a feminine straight white woman over a black butch woman?)… of course, being aware of and caring about these different modes of oppression means we are also aware of men who are oppressed because of their race/sexuality/etc…. but WOMEN are our focus.
SO how do we define womanhood, since that is what this ideology is based on? Women are adult human females. We are of course also focused on liberating girls, but girls are not adults, and woman and man are words that denote adulthood. This is an obviously important distinction since I would not (for example) call a 5 year old a woman. The human distinction is pretty obvious too. Anyway, the aspect that most people seem to be upset by/confused by/find fault with is the female part of this description. Women around the world are oppressed because they are FEMALE, and people can tell this because women overwhelmingly have uteri and can become pregnant (”female: of or denoting the sex that can bear offspring or produce eggs”) You can also often tell that a person is female because of their breasts, the way the fat is situated on their bodies, their bone structure, their size, etc. Because of women’s BODIES men have often taken advantage of us to enact sexual violence and keep women in a subservient position. For example, the military (speaking from an american/canadian perspective) is still considered a dangerous place for women to be, not because they are potentially going overseas and engaging in combat with rifles/bombs/weaponry, but because the sexual assault rates are SO HIGH. WITHIN THE ARMY. ASSAULT IS PERPETRATED NOT BY THE “ENEMY” BUT BY YOUR “BROTHERS.” When women ‘step out of line,’ men like to tell us to “get back in the kitchen” or “suck my dick” or call us “bitches/whores/cunts.” Men don’t like it when women are self-reliant or form communities with other women–how many man have discouraged the women in their lives from learning mechanics, going to school, or working? What if that woman they were calling a “slut” and telling to “fix me a sandwich” or threatening with rape said “actually, I don’t identify with womanhood. I’m not a woman. I’m trans.” Would that change anything? Why not? Because you can still physically identify her as a woman… because she is female.
So women are oppressed on the basis of sex. Our sex is told we have “women’s brains” that make us more inclined to be quiet, caring and illogical, and that a good woman wears heels (painful, uncomfortable, limits mobility), makeup (expensive, time-consuming, promotes hiding of “flaws” and a desire for “perfect” looks/“beauty”), stays at home and takes care of the kids (isolating, unrecognized/unappreciated labour, strenuous, removes independence), and serves the men in her life completely. What liberal feminists call gender roles, we call gender. Because gender is entirely based on classifying what women (adult human females) and men (adult human males) are allowed to do. So we reject gendering.
Does this exclude trans people? Well, it depends on how you view it. Remember that radical feminism is about women, who are female, and despite us being able to recognize that systemic injustices are faced by men of colour and disabled men (and gay men and poor men etc. etc.), we focus on liberating females. So males are not included; they are ‘excluded.’ Trans women (male - to - female transgender individuals) are male. SO, yes they are excluded by this description. However, just as we can recognize how indigenous men are oppressed, we can recognize the pain of dysphoric males and the oppression of gender non conforming males.
This was all written very quickly and in one go so there are probably mistakes in it, sorry! If you want to send another anonymous ask with follow up questions/remarks, feel free.. you can also come off anon and we can chat privately. I hope you’re having a good day and that this helped to explain my views. :)

wasn't the implication with erica in the new ending that because of the new fucked up timeline, we're seeing her pre-transition not as a gay man? (ex. in response to toby saying, "man there aren't any hot chicks around..." she says "idk, one might be closer than you think~")
[hi, this is me from the future where i finished writing this answer. i just realised how long this response is so i apologise in advance but i promise there is a reason for the wordiness to follow. also i just came off a 15-hour shift so i am sorry if i am not wholly coherent]
let’s take the most generous reading here, bearing in mind translation issues, cultural differences, and thermian perspectives
why? why write that into the game? none of this is real and they could write anything they wanted. they already know that the way they wrote erica originally was controversial, and not just in the west either. of all possible things, why write this? if for a moment we put aside the in-canon explanation, again assuming that it is airtight for the sake of argument, what are we left with?
why have a trans woman character whose transness is a ~twist~? why have her last name be a pun on her trans status? why deadname her? why have her friends misgender her and find her sexuality creepy? why have her bf disgusted at having had sex with her? why play that for laughs? why give her the men-exclusive nightmares? every one of these was a decision real peopl made over the years this game was made, and re-made. why?
p1 had a suspect final boss design. p2 had both a shitty trans man and trans woman joke. p3 had the beach thing. p4... does not require elaboration. p5 ditto. all of those games bar p5 have been remade and in every one not only did they not cut or adjust or even just acknowledge the often just cruel and meanspirited at best content, p3 and p4 added more. why?
so the new catherine adds yet another Crossdressing Character Entrapping The Men, why? with the obligatory cliche “oh no you’re naked and there’s a penis how horrifying!!!!” scene even, why? and then on top of that it gives us an ending where the actual trans woman isn’t anymore. why?
i’m not trying to be mean and i am genuinely sorry if i sound that way bc i’m not like, accusing you of being Problematic or anything anon i mean idk you you could be anyone but i am assuming ur just asking a question harmlessly and i can appreciate that. you don’t have to agree with me even. i am the first one to say that you can take a text from the author’s cold dead hands and make it your own and create something 10 times more beautiful and valuable than the original creator ever even imagined and god knows spite is a brilliant motivator. for example, in the old game i like the reading that the reason erica had the nightmares was bc the shitty god of that universe is a transphobe, and i could write a decent essay defending that idea and talking about the value in a story that says even god can’t make transphobia valid. like that’s something a lot of irl trans ppl might find heartening and empowering and that’s not nothing! that’s a worthwhile story to tell imho. but that wouldn’t make that the story the original writers meant to tell, bc from the track record above there’s just no way to sensibly argue that.
that wouldn’t make my essay wrong! there can be multiple ways to read a text Properly (in fact there are as many as there are people who read it) but i don’t get to ignore the ones i don’t like, especially when it goes beyond just one game. this is a pattern, and it’s part of a very ugly picture.

Note
if you argue with a terf they always try and get the last word in or stop arguing so that the post on their blog makes you like you have been owned they only want to hear what they want to hear and also don’t debunked on their lies for example a terf on here claimed she got beaten up by non binary people at a bar for being transphobic online when in reality she was misgendering people in a bar she then punched a cis lesbian and got beat up outside she attacked then first
I think that everyone on Tumblr may do that but I don’t know because I don’t really discourse about other stuff. If not then out of experience holy shit yeah they do.
I actually saw a post where the person who punched them gave information about it and the link I’m giving includes the radfems response because I think that it’s ridiculous.
Their part of the story actually never did change. More things were added onto it sure but that’s supposed to happen as a story progresses? I would try to give minimal information and go on the further I’m questioned and that seems perfectly reasonable.
The terf that was punched had their story change before it even was written out. I said this before on my blog but they literally said that they couldn’t identify or count how many people who were hitting them but pointed out everyone right away on a post before.
This person isn’t even fighting for justice over the punch so it doesn’t even matter from my perspective. It just shows that they want nothing but to get this place in trouble. That and on top of it, it’s basically for people not looking after the fucker after they got intoxicated. Take responsibility for your own actions holy shit don’t choose to get intoxicated alone at a bar and then press charges when the bartender tries to kick you out and you get into a fight.
“they didn’t even call the police like they said” “well you never called the police either” There’s a difference between someone possibly forgetting (Yes, people forget to call the police or are afraid to call them sometimes even if it will benefit their situation. People will also call when they’re the ones who did something wrong and not know it) and publically stating that you will and never doing so. One is saying that the bar did wrong on believing the story, the other makes the story unreliable as a whole.
But yeah, it was a cis lesbian that punched them I believe that I mean they stated it themselves.
If you want another example of your situation though anon, I had an ask of mine reblogged before being instantly blocked. I was only able to see the response today because someone else reblogged it and it was one sentence. So yeah.

Cleaning up
Hi! Mod Scix here! We’re trying to cut our way through the inbox, and I’ve compiled a few similar asks. This post will be a lot of ask and very short answer. Please understand this isn’t me being rude, I’m just trying to be efficient so we can get less behind. (hee hee, “behind”)
The first category of questions are errors:
Anonymous said:
(nb 2/3) They’re feminine, but choose against HRT/surgeries (maybe later?) bc they’re on PREP and the combination might lead to lower bone density (they’re a MedSchool stdt, they’d know). And they’re on Prep bc their boyfriend, the protag, is Poz, but their relationship isn’t healthy (constant arguing and protag trying to decide NB-char’s career for them). But NB-char puts up with it for years. Partly for love, partly bc protag accepts their gender, and they think they won’t ever have that again
Anonymous said:
Clarifying a few things about my ask (I'm the anon with the love triangle): 1. Gender/sexuality is of minimum importance in this story. Tough to explain, but the MC doesn't really have a concept of those issues? She's afab but agender for all intents and purposes. 2. The relationship between the two men is way healthier/happier than that between the MC and her ex. 3. There's no animosity between the MC and her ex's current partner.
Sorry, the rest of your questions are missing. If it's still a relevant question, please resend.
The next set I call research:
@teal0cean said:
Hello!! Love you guys! I wanted to ask if you know about the history of HRT for trans males. As in. What was or wasnt available or how the process of transitioning was during some historical period or other (im interested in early 20th Century!)
@yevie said:
Do you have any information on what sorts of resources/information would be available for a (lower-middle class, 20 year old nursing student in a metropolitan area) trans man in 1995? [Resources in terms of both social transitioning, especially in his academic and work setting and also resources in the whole LGBT community aspect and having access to the language to describe his experiences.] (He's also gay and ace, if that's relevant.)
Anonymous said:
I heard theres discourse about the terms FTM/MTF/etc. whats that about??
Anonymous said:
So I've always wondered about this, but I don't to seem like I'm insulting anybody. :( I just really want to know how it works... but I'm to scared to ask so I'm going to drop it here, because I think you will understand! :) (1/2)
You see, If a female decides to do the transision to male. How will she get the male genitalia and loose the female one? I really want to know. Does it hurt? (2/2)
Anonymous said:
How and when do people realize they might be homosexual?
Anonymous said:
Can you think of any really good ideas for a short LGBTQ film? Thank you!
Anonymous said:
Do you know where I could read a bit more about lgbtq+ stereotypes so that I don't do it myself?
Anonymous said:
What is bi/tri/polygender
Anonymous said:
I am making a documentary so i need a good script on it in hindi, would you be able to provide it?
So these are all research questions. Not actually what we are here for, though we do sometimes dive in. The first couple may be tougher to find using google, but the rest are pretty easy to dig up. Or else need to be reworded to narrow the focus. And sometimes the questions we get have built-in assumptions that kinda make it impossible to answer fairly.
Like the assumption that we write Hindi.
If anyone wants to answer these, please be civil.
The next section is the quick answer:
Anonymous said:
Do any trans men choose not to take hormones, even if they're available to the person? I know this answer would really vary from person to person, but I'm thinking of writing a trans man who doesn't want to take hormones, and I'm not sure if that would be considered unusual or not really understanding of the desires most transgender people have.
@pan-at-thedisco said:
Is it plausible for a trans boy who can definitely afford transition surgery to choose not to? Is this something that happens often?
Yeah, transfolk sometimes choose not to get surgery or take hormones. Don’t worry about “often,” it’s fiction.
Anonymous said:
Hello there, I have this male character that I wrote a long time ago and only recently have I been seeing him as bi, now he has crushes on guys but he still ends up with a girl. I can't help but feel like I "cheated" in a way by making a bi character have a hetero relationship but I don't want to change his relationship. I just want to hear your opinion about this.
It's not a hetero relationship, because he is in it. Just don't write it that the new relationship is fixing him, or more real, or anything like that.
Anonymous said:
I want to ask about usage of the word "queer" not in reference to a person or their gender/sexual orientation. Its original meaning meant "strange." It later became a slur, and has now been reclaimed by some in the community. I'm wondering if it's still okay to use it in its original meaning (i.e. "In front of him was the queerest fog he'd ever seen.") or has the evolution of the word has made that no longer acceptable, even if you're writing period/a specific atmosphere?
Go for it! Just be aware it sounds kind of old-fashioned.
Anonymous said:
hi! do you think it would be considered ok for a nonbinary character in a historical setting to use their language's equivalent of "it/its" pronouns? i'm cis and i'm worried people will take it the wrong way, but the character just wants to be convenient as their language only has one set of gender-neutral pronouns and it's for inanimate objects
No. If it's a fictional language, then it can have a gender-unspecified pronoun that doesn't only refer to objects.
@dreamwishing said:
I have a rather odd question. Odd enough that I'm not sure where to ask. This may not be the right place, and if it's not, maybe you could point me in a direction? That would be great. Everyone asks how to avoid stereotyping lgbtq+ people, but...how do I avoid stereotyping homophobes and the like?
...make them rounded, complete characters with more than one thing in their life.
Anonymous said:
I have a villainous character who is a combination/amalgamation of various people of different genders/sexualities, and they don't have a gender. I'm planning to refer to the character with they/them pronouns, and it just doesn't feel right to give them a gender. But since they're a bad guy, would it be... what's the word... transphobic (I guess? you know what i mean) to portray them as agender? I have other agender characters, if that makes a difference. (It's fantasy btw)
Having other agender characters -- well-represented -- solves the issue for you just fine. Also, make the villain interesting. I love a good villain.
Anonymous said:
Will the mod/s be monitoring the comments at all? I've seen quite a few hateful replies and reblogs toward nonbinary and demisexual people. I would love to keep following, but it sucks having to be subjected to people invalidating my gender and sexuality in the comments.
There is nothing we can do about comments. "Never read the comments" is often a good idea. Alternately, block the blogs that are evil, and you'll soon find it was the same few all along. Anything really terrible, let us know so we can block them ourselves, and let our readers know.
That was a lot of work. I know it doesn’t look like much, but it took me a few hours and I’m wiped. Some kinds of work are more labor than they appear, and this is that kind of labor.
Still and all: love you all! Just not that way.
