1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 15! which is solidly 14 more than i ever expected to have on there when i made the account

2. What's your total Ao3 word count? 277,844

3. What fandoms do you write for? on ao3: mdzs/cql, tgcf, shl, and dc. in groupchats/dms/my own head i’m running wild all over the place

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? 🐉 this river runs to you 💍 i’ll have you and you’ll have me 🪐 i will be chasing a starlight ⚔️ you’re the trouble that i always find 🌊 a wave crashes to shore

5. Do you respond to comments? not often; i have made multiple attempts to start replying regularly but all have eventually failed in the face of me desperately wanting to show my earnest and genuine appreciation for each comment vs. wanting to hide my blushing face under a pillow every time. also, because of who i am as a person, each time i sat down to do it i ended up spending hours making little progress and eventually decided that i will make an effort to spend those hours writing or commenting on other fics instead. i am honored by each and every one though!!!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? while i tend to write angst it is always firmly of the “with a happy ending” sort. the one exception is my shortest fic (originally posted on twitter) never been away so long, which is more of an ambiguous/open ending with implied angst. i dooooo outline the eventual happy ending in the endnotes, though. also as it CURRENTLY stands buy back the secrets ends on one hell of an angsty note, but there are two more chapters in the works to fix that.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? despite the wangxian star trek au having like 20k of deliriously happy post-misunderstanding sex, i think trrty has to have the happiest ending because not only does the fic end happily, but there are also multiple very happy codas in which wwx gets a good night’s sleep, finally gets to bang his dragon boyfriend, and, my personal fav, one by aubreyli where wangxian go flying in a thunderstorm.

8. Do you get hate on fics? not so far, for which i am grateful but mostly lucky.

9. Do you write smut? occasionally; on ao3 there’s the aforementioned trrty coda, plus the aforementioned cowritten wangxian pon farr sequence 💪

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you have written? hmm, i’m not opposed to crossovers—i’ve read some really fun ones (recent fav crossover read here)—but i’d have to be really compelled by both source materials and have a very clear vision for how they interact to want to write one myself. i’ve written a few fandom fusions (aforementioned wangxian star trek au; i also started a wangxian dragon age au but again, no dragon age characters were going to show up, just the world/setting) but no full-on crossovers. i did have one partially drafted wangxian fic that was going to have a hua cheng deus ex machina, alas.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? not that i’m aware of! it’s not something i really go looking for/concern myself with, but so far, like with fandom hate, i’m grateful to not have encountered it.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? yes! my wangxian wedding fic was translated to russian.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? i co-wrote seventy thousand words of published fic with @feyburner! and probably two hundred thousand words of unpublished fic and outlines and story ideas just for fun. even when we aren’t co-writing we tend to talk through our individual fics with each other so we’re pretty in sync when it comes to writing. i also spent like a year in @cairoscene’s DMs concocting whole outlines/zerodrafts for batfam fics together that i still cherish and reread (notable favs: tim drake ella enchanted au, concept where the waynes are cursed to suddenly feel nothing but apathy about tim and he has to deal with that, story where robin!tim gets de-aged and oops red hood is the first one to show up…). i’d say the OCBFEU is fic-adjacent and cowritten by a group of us. also shoutout to the mdzs threadfic @cafecliche and i brainstormed/zerodrafted where lan qiren gets cursed into an owl and post-cql wei wuxian is the one who unknowingly saves him.

14. What's your all time favorite ship? oh yeah it’s [loud truck goes by]

15. What is a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? cyborg!wwx…i still think of you fondly. the only ao3 fic i’ve ever posted knowing i probably wouldn’t finish it but wanted to share just for fun.

16. What are your writing strengths? pangs… mining little character details for humor (or, more often, for more pangs)… i also think i’ve really improved my action writing/pacing over the last few years.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? i write actual drafts/prose fairly slowly, which can be frustrating for me. also like @yuebings i often get very caught up in trying to perfect one small part of a draft before moving on. ummmm describing outfits/settings for reasons other than immediate plot-relevant details, i’m terrible at that + remembering to do it—i literally make myself do a What Are We Looking At Here Pass while revising sometimes.

18. Thoughts of writing dialogue in another language in fics? i’m not totally sure what this question is asking tbh, but it’s something i think can be done incredibly well—and, like with many things in storytelling, it’s the sort of thing where if you don’t actually speak the second language you need to be willing to put in work beyond a cursory google to try to achieve what you’re doing, and be willing to admit if it’s beyond your capabilities. i really like how the portuguese dialogue in bbts ended up and that’s 100% because @tigerjpg translated it for me and also already understood the scene/concept/characters; without them i would have found a different way to approach that scene. also, stylistically, i personally like when dialogue in other languages isn’t italicized unless there’s a real reason for it to be.

20. Favorite fic you have written? right now it’s bbts, because i think it’s also the fic i’ve had the most fun writing. trrty, though, will always hold a special place in my heart.

I'm so insane about them, the way frances is constantly poking fun at taylor (but very good-naturedly) and taylor seems so comfortable with it and like... this is taylor fritz! he's never comfortable! but with frances he always seems to be, how am I supposed to be normal about them. that video of them on the bikes at the laver cup is truly one of my favorite things that exists, they just know each other so well. in literally every photo of the two of them one of them is gazing at the other one so softly and fondly

“What the phck is this?” Gavin asks, left eyebrow firmly raised up as he eyed the oversized, lilac monstrosities in the Android's hands.  Connor’s previous smile fell, eyeing the three drinks in their paper holder in his hands with worry. If he still wore that damn LED it would probably be flashing red in overload.  “I- the woman at the store said, they were new. That I should try them. Well, I can’t, but I thought you two could…” “That was very thoughtful of you babe, wasn’t it Gavin?” Hank teased/threatened, bumping the back of Gavin’s shoulder with his arm.  “...Yeah…” Gavin says, still eyeing the diabetic's nightmare wearily.  “So what are these Con?” Hank asks, taking his own drink from the holder and removing the lid to lick the whip cream.   “‘Grimace Milkshakes,’” Connor says, not quite understanding the significance, or the name.  “Like the huge purple phck?” Gavin clarifies, taking his own, because he was not gonna be labeled a bad sport in his own home.  He looked at the golden arches on the plastic cup for one more trepidatious moment before taking a sip.  -*- The obsession did not end in his living room that night.  One sip, and Gavin was hooked, faster than any drug he’s popped, snorted, or smoked. He wished, he really wished he could have just hated the damn thing and moved on with his life but no. the Grimace Milkshake had become his latest obsession. So much he was replacing meals for it.  It had been going on for weeks and so far, no one had called him out on it. Did he have to go to painstaking lengths to keep this obsession a secret?(like hiding them in his coffee thermos and having to wait until it melted enough to be liquid and not raise suspicion)Yes. but it was worth it, for the incredibly sweet, berry taste of the limited time beverage.  He figured it wouldn't catch up with him. He had spent most of his life narrowly avoiding consequences. He was crafty like that. And still young. And yes 37 is still young, thank you very much. It was just sugar. Shit was packed into everything he ate anyway. What's the worst that could happen? Turns out the worst that can happen is Connor and Hank finding him in a sugar coma, passed out on his living room floor after ingesting 6 of those stupid drinks and taking humiliating pictures to blackmail him with later...  If he didn't love his two moronic boyfriends so much, he’d phucking kill them.

11. do they have any sensitivities to smells?

---Robin actually cannot smell much of anything nowadays besides the more pungent herbs in his garden, his senses have pretty much collapsed due to his current state. During times of revival, or if A/Bel is being kinder, he's always shocked to discover someone wears cologne or has a natural musk.

The one single acception to this is tobacco - but its less so the actual odor and more so that the bitter smoke stings his nose and hurts his lungs (he does breathe out of habit despite not really needing to).

20. do they have a “comfort outfit” or a go to look? if so, why did they choose those pieces?

---Robin lives in the middle of the Ionian woods in a garden of his own making, since he's mostly a hermit nowadays (how do you all keep finding him? Please don't go) he dresses in the colors of the woods in order to blend in easier. He dresses in clothing he has stitched together from fabrics either taken from abandoned carts, his boots were a gift, and his gloves were too. His hat has unknown origins but he is very protective over it, he doesn't even remember where it came from, but its become a part of him. He has a wool cloak for warmth that he embroidered himself too! He has a thick black leather wrap around his waist that works as a support for his back since he's consistently bending over to work in his garden and tend to the flowers. He has garters on his sleeves so he can pull them up and be more effiicent! His outfit is made for travel and is outdoor attire, he doesn't have many other pieces of clothing and washes his clothing in the river that cuts through his garden.

and his earring was gift from Abel while he was alive, it is actually filled with water from the Blessed Isles and was pierced into him by the demon itself. The necklace he wears is also apart of the demonic entity, serving as a protective gaze as he travels and they are separate from one another. He often hears his fathers voice being whispered from it. His satchel was something he plucked off of a sleeping traveler!

25. what do they do when they are deep in thought? ( bite their nails? twirl a strand of hair? lick their lips? just look off to the side? nothing too exciting because this is a highly specific question? lol )

---Robin actually does stim in quite a few ways, he is often seen twirling parts of his hair, particularly this piece:

Another thing he does is tut or lick the cut in his lip, its become a very bad habit for him but he can't seem to stop doing it. He pulls his gloves tight, fiddles with his earring, and readjusts his cuffs too. He also talks with his hands and really tries to illustrate what is being said as he knows sometimes his way of speaking can be difficult to follow due to his vocabulary - he LOVES thought provoking questions though, and will happily sit for hours and talk if given the chance. IF you can put up with him, that is.

In no particular order:

I live in the southeastern USA and I'd love to see a region like that. Span all the way from the Atlantic to Louisiana. Maybe even Texas? Woods, farmland, swamps, plains. An area similar to the Bayou and have a city rich in culture like New Orleans. The region can be split by a river kinda like the Mississippi and have some mountains like the Appalachian. Gotta be a possum Pokemon, new deer Pokemon, fucking mosquito Pokemon. The Lizard Man would be a Mythical Pokemon (and no not the Lizardman tattooed performer fella, I'm talking THE LIZARD MAN of South Carolina infamy.) Florida is in the DLC

An Aussie region. Include Tasmania and New Zealand as well maybe? Deserts and beaches and mountains and rainforests. GOTTA have a building that is as recognizable as the Sydney Opera House. GOTTA have a Great Barrier Reef. I'd wanna see a kangaroo Pokemon, a kiwi Pokemon, A THYLACINE Pokemon. Echidna and platypus ones too. Komala has a regional evolution.

An Indian region would be so pretty. You'd have deserts and tropics and plains and then a mountain range like the Himalayas. Farms and fishing rivers. Gorgeous architecture and a building like the Taj Mahal. The region where Cufant and Copperajah are from! Also gotta have a new tiger Pokemon and maybe a river dolphin or a rhino.

Would loooooove an Egypt region. So much desert and countless sand dunes but of course something like the Nile river and valley with oases full of date palms and all that. So pretty. Temples and pyramids and obelisks; just so much ancient architecture but of course integrate the modern, bustling society as well. Gotta have the Suez Canal and the peninsula. The legendaries would be inspired by Egyptian mythology obviously. Like a Sphinx Pokemon! The desert in Unova is pretty much the vibe, just more large scale and more Egyptian.

My final dream region is Mexico! Hot arid areas, tropical rainforests, beaches, and mountains like the Sierra Madre. The gulf! Incorporate the Chicxulub Crater into the lore of the region. Can be the same type of extinction event as the real world and that's what took out the Tyrantrum and Bastiodon and all them. Gotta have them ancient Mesoamerican temples and pyramids. Pokemon like coatls and jaguar and spider monkey Pokemon. A CHIHUAHUA POKEMON. A chupacabra Pokemon would be wild. Hawlucha would have multiple aesthetic variants.

also, Lilia in particular has maybe the best timeskip character development of all time

i have lots of flaws but i do at least take a fair amount of comfort knowing that, if i were a customer NPC in a fast food/retail management game, i would be one of the chill early-level ones that can wait a super long time before they start getting impatient, and you breathe a sigh of a relief when you see them show up in a harder level
