it's probably a bad idea to try to word my thoughts on an episode in a serious manner while half-asleep, but I really am fond of Toshiro's realization of how serious Kabru's past is and how his mixed emotions are displayed so well visually

obviously this is a still image but once the question of "you'd eat monsters, even after all that?" lands in Toshiro's brain, Kabru is immediately distanced from him as music fills the silence. they were initially framed on the same side. and they are. they agree about reporting the Falin incident to prevent future deaths, but they also do not want to sell out Laios and the rest of the party yet. they both don't think the interference of the Canaries is right. they are taking the same position, albeit at times for different reasons, and therefore are put together as a pair against the elves in the room.

but the moment it clicks, the moment Toshiro processes what actions Kabru might take, there is an immediate gap between them from then on. it's, of course, never said what Toshiro's original assessment of Kabru trying the harpy eggs was, as in, what he thought Kabru did it for. It's not said here either or what he thinks now. but that doesn't really matter. what matters is that immediate alienation. now, the act, interpreted however it was before, is cast in a new abnormal light. they might still be on the same side, but Toshiro doesn't understand him. good shit, all in a few seconds!

The problem, though, is that they NEVER showed us what Sun was doing to heal. They made it off screen, which is just lazy. It’s literally the basic of “show, don’t tell”.

Hmm, actually yes, we were shown Sun many times just relaxing at home, drinking a little, playing with his cats, even Solar and Moon were worried because Sun was very relaxed.

But anyway, I'm not talking about whether it's a problem or not that we didn't see anything, I just said that you can have all the HCs you want but don't try to pass them off as canon or shout from the rooftops that your theory is real and should be canon. HC and theories are just that, they are not canon, they are just your ideas and it is not okay for you to try to proclaim them as canon to the point that you will get angry if someone tells you they disagree.

And like, if a silly YT show makes you so angry, maybe it's time for a break and a nice walk in the park.
