having the worst weekend ever in my life rn

#time for a rare TUMBLR VENT POST usually this is limited to my twitter #my hair loss from t has gotten way worse recently and im extremely upset about it #upset enough that yesterday at my sisters graduation i could barely focus because i was freaking out #and i am still. freaking out.#scheduled an appointment about finasteride and ordered rosemary oil shit but its really not looking good #and to top it all off my dad managed to ram into my car and put a dent in it. its easy to fix but still like. come on man WHY NOW #and i cant do the normal things i do to calm down about my hair because its On Me i can See It #i can see how its all fucking falling out #and everything reminds me of it #im so hungry but anxiety is making me so nauseous i can barely eat #im tired because i could barely sleep last night from the anxiety #i want to go home but also what the fuck do i do after that #i just feel so awful. i dont know what to do with myself #how did i even get such an intense balding gene my dads hair is fine my sisters hair is beautiful #im really fucking upset 😁😁😁😁😁🤪🤪🤪🤪😁😁‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️⁉️⁉️⁉️🤪🤪🤪🤪😁😁😁🤪😁☹️

being trans is so hard and confusing but sometimes you get called the right name and the right pronoun and it feels so right and sometimes it’s by a group of guys discussing how they’re old enough to remember when TV’s had dials that switched to one of three channels, and they’re still respecting your pronouns and maybe you can be okay

#I’ve been having a crisis cause basically if you say my irl name is boomerang #I’ve been going by just boom more #and these theatre posters came out and they had the directors name and my name on them #no other names—not even the other professor who led the other class #and that poster said boomerang cause that’s my full name that’s normal #but it just looked WRONG which I’ve never felt before (like even tho I primarily go by boom now I still sign all my emails boomerang.#so it’s not like it’s a deadname or anything. it’s literally just a nickname that happens to feel more gender) but since boom felt better I #asked them to put boom in the program and they did!!#and sometimes I look at it and go 🥰that looks right #and sometimes I look at it and go 😡that looks unprofessional you should’ve kept HOLY SHIT I ALMOST TYPED MY NAME WHOOPS you should’ve kept #boomerang cause that’s what people with nicknames do and it’s more professional bla bla bla #but like #potentially I want to not use it so much as a nickname but a name name #because of gender #but idk yet #boom is significantly less formal of a name and does have the connotations of a nickname unfortunately #but that’s also why I think it feels so fun to be called it #cause they say boom and I’m like 😁me whereas they say boomerang and I’m like 🫣why so serious #anyway i hope this made sense im not actually talking about boom versus boomerang I just didn’t want to use my irl name lol #OH BUT THE POINT OF THE POST WAS REGARDLESS OF MY NAME IRL I GET CALLED BOOM AND TWO PROFESSORS AND A PROFESSOR’S HUSBAND WERE IN THIS MANLY #CIRCLE AND I JUST JOINED AND WAS IN THE CONVERSATION AND I DEFINITELY WAS AWKWARD BUT IDK I FELT APPRECIATED ESPECIALLY WHEN I WAS GENDERED #boom blogs high #i still want to take a bath or at least change into comfy clothes and just haven’t moved whoops #it’s cold and my blanket is warm

19. most disliked popular books?

coming for the haterisms right off the bat! okay this is recency bias but i finished gideon the ninth by tamsyn muir like three days ago and i absolutely hated it. tbh i have had moderate to good luck reading things based off the taste of my mutuals but this one... easily the book i hated the most this year so far, but i probably should have known that just going in lol. i disliked the goldfinch by Donna tartt (though this one gets two bonuses: 1) introducing me to the drama of Bennington college and 2) i vaguely remember what happened despite how little I enjoyed it). idk if it's that popular but i didn't like this side of paradise by scott fitzgerald. (these r all books I've ranked at or below a 2/5...but tbh most things are like a 2.5-3.5 for me).

10. do you have a guilty fav?

yeah. and unforch i talk about him all the time on here: i like brandon sanderson. i think i was stockholm-syndromed into it because my friend had me read the mistborn trilogy which i didn't particularly like but I'd finish each one and go oh shit now i have to read the next. and then i read the stormlight archives which i genuinely did like and can't wait for the fifth book!!! I think my friend was right that I had to read mistborn first. I hate wax&wayne tho for the record. i don't think he's a great writer but man am i invested now. and guilty about it!!!!

#i do like a lot of books i read off things i see ppl talking about I promise #Like im reading less by Greer now which someone I can't remember posted about #And very much enjoying #also re: brandysandy I lowkey do like the hard magic system and i like the general lack of romance #Romance (esp in fantasy) is so hit or miss for me (and moslty miss.)#I probably have other guilty pleasures but not that guilty.....i read a pretty good mix of pop fiction/classic stuff/memoirs I think.#I try not to be toooo judgy lol #Like I've enjoyed a Sally rooney book or two even if I can't remember a single thing that happened #I like booktok critiques that go around but I'm not on tiktok so I don't ever really know what they r talking about #I just like dunking on tiktok and like. i hate capitalism.

#like just in general #what was it like to have one of your mutuals suddenly start posting about one of the most infamous and embarrassing characters #in existence.#did it feel how it felt to me because . man i dont really know what happened it was literally insane.#i had no interest in anything to do with this series at all and then i saw one thing and for some reason it like #instantly shot me directly in the brain. i know this sounds exaggerated but im being serious #i was looking for artists on here as i usually do and happened to come across an artist who happened to have posted a bit of fan art #and despite having known of this character for years and having no interest at all i was suddenly possessed by an #incomprehensibly intense curiosity #and now its been probably almost exactly 2 months now and i literally feel so unwell #i looked into it a bit and immediately knew that this was going to exacerbate everything already wrong with me and cause #a bunch of paranoia and stuff and then it did. but uhmmmm its fine because at least im having fun (?)
