It's very important for me to say this and explain what I mean but SQX is not someone who can just leave you wanting. You want to dance? Then they'll dance with you, no music needed. You want to break something? Well, make sure it's not something that can't be replaced-- here, take this trinket from them, it's delicate and won't hurt your hands too badly if it snaps in the wrong places and they can always get another one so don't think too much about its value. You want to wander? Wander with the blessing of the wind always against your back to lighten your burden; it will never go against you, it will never create more hardship for you. You want quiet? They'll sit in silence, a hand's breadth away, and they might fidget a bit but they'll preserve the peace without letting the quiet become too loud. You want to cry? It's a little awkward, but that won't stop them from winding an arm around your shoulder and saying "there, there" not just to placate but to offer sincere solace.
That's not to say that they'll always know what to give and when to give it, much less always be the right person for what it is you need. They're generous to an almost offensive degree (why are you tossing out all those merits? isn't that at the expense of your believers' ardent prayers and offerings?). But if you want, why can't they give? They have an overabundance of everything. There's no use in letting the water of an overflowing cup spill onto the ground and create mud.
SQX themself has been cared for to a choking degree. The type of care with confines that shrink and expectations that grow with each milestone passed. Nothing they have has necessarily been earned by right or work. It might be an insult for someone like them to hear your want and offer their means. How aware they are of this is entirely dependent on the situation. Even so, it's no excuse for them to not try. No matter who is at the helm of it, the wind is a constant no matter what, isn't it? It's always there cooling the sweat on your brow, always there chafing your lips, always there to tug at your sleeve. That's who they are. Even at their worst, they are just so full. It's lonely to be that kind of full for too long without trying to share. How can they not give when there is want? So they don't deserve all they have. That doesn't mean you don't deserve them holding their hands out and saying 'take it, take as much as you like, I'll be here next time too.'

I have some conflicting feelings about White Widow #1 preview. I like that they are giving Yelena her own space, building a life the way she wants, far away from the Red Room and Nat's shadow. Plus her fighting cap and not giving a shit about who he is or the avengers trying to stop her was good.
What I don't like are the changes and retcons that are probably being made to make her more similar to her MCU counterpart. The preview already showed that her origin was changed. Now she is someone who was taken from her family, trained since her childhood, and forced to become a widow. There's even a panel of her hugging Natasha's dead body and the narration talking about losing family. I wouldn't mind these changes if it wasn't ignoring a big part of Yelena's character, her motivations and one of the biggest differences between her and other widows.
Yelena chose this. She chose this life. She joined the Red Room of her own will, bc she wanted to do something good for her country. Almost every story featuring her talks about how she is different from the others bc she had a choice and her choice was to be a widow. Yeah, the Red Room lied about things and she wasn't 100% aware of everything, but she knew that life as a spy was hard and painful, but she wanted this anyway. Yelena's wish to help her people and change things was stronger than anything and she endured and faced everything the Red Room threw against her. Comparing herself with Natasha and hearing it from others made her want to create her legacy and something for herself, but this also included her wish to do something good. Replacing it with the MCU storyline adds nothing to her character, actually, it takes a lot, making her just a copy of Nat. The second miniseries is all about Natasha trying to convince her to give up and live a normal life, saying that Yelena is too naive and that she (Yelena) doesn't understand what means to live like this and what it takes while Yelena's response is just "I don't care. It's my life, I will live the way I want and you don't have the right to interfere or stop me".
The second complaint, her jokes. These just... don't suit her. She was shown to be the type of person who has more acidic and dark humor, the type that feels like throwing salt in a wound (and she probably wouldn't even notice sometimes). She is brutally honest. The jokes on the preview felt.. idk it just doesn't feel right for her.
And lastly, and this is a minor one, why is she living in the US? Why not make her return to Russia and explore her love and loyalty to her people? Show more of how she plans to help and how she deals with those who stand in her way (*cough government cough*), bring back the winter guard. It feels like a wasted chance ik?

everyday a dumbass will appear saying Alcina didn't love her children because of stupid gameplay reasons and ignore all the fucking rest(specially context, not even gonna mention completly ignoring things like the official "three black roses close to her heart" thing which is the biggest one) that should come with analysing them, no seriously, do we really need to go over all of that again? Im tired of that shit, one appears every 1 or 2 months, are y'all stupid or just genuinely ignore everything?

dude the secret history is wiiiiiiild the whole thing is about how aesthetics are a lie and how there's horror in wealth and privilege and somehow that spawned the entire dark academia aesthetic thing?? like i understand the appeal of the aesthetic because That's Literally The Point the outfits and the look and the poetry of it all are so cool but it is baffling to me that the Don't Obsess Over Pseudo-Intellectualism and The Aesthetics of Old Wealth book created the pseudo-intellectuallism and aesthetics of old wealth movement
