How I make my stimboards !
(also here's a link to someone else's explanation incase you don't understand mine)
This was asked by @mothmans-problem-child so here it is ! (under the cut, it's kinda long)
Step 1 : make a post and go to the gifs section
Step 2 : put what you're looking for in the search tab
Step 3 : scroll until you find a gif you like and tap it (should look like this after you tap it)
Step 4 : do this until you have 9 gifs
Step 5 : download them all in the correct order (on mobile you have to download the images you want on top last, and the ones on the bottom first, if it's your first time it'll probably take a few tries)
Step 6 : go to the image add button and select all 9 gifs (should end up like the right image)
Step 7 : click on the "gif by" part (this is for the credits)
Step 8 : press copy link (the gif came from someone else's board, so we link to their post)
Step 9 : insert the link onto an emoji / letter / word
Each letter / emoji / word needs to have the links in the correct order
Step 10 : add tags
Done : it should look something like this at the end !
Extra : I colour my text and add a divider just to make it look better :)
Note : I hope this is a good enough explanation, and don't be too worried if your first few don't look perfect, you'll get better over time if you continue making them !

yeah i'll throw this into the ring. here. have it. asks in no particular order, just whatever i could think about wahaha. feel free to use these for whatever :-) also has a few "games/interaction/not quite asks" things because this is MY list and I MAKE THE RULES /lh Also, all of these questions are SFW!
What genre of music do they listen to the most? Would people assume they would like that style of music or is it wildly unfitting to their appearance? (ie; cutesy pastel girl likes heavy metal)
In terms of power scaling in-universe, are they about as strong as everyone else, way overpowered, extremely weak, etc?
Their playlist. Show us their playlist (or, if it's extremely long, the most fitting songs on it) and include specific lyrics from each song you consider to be the most fitting. Explanation not required but you can if you feel like it! Do not care about cringe. It is fun.
Make a moodboard and/or stimboard for them! Remember to source your images! (And preferably use a royalty-free image site such as Unsplash instead of Pinterest!)
If their personality has changed drastically over development, what's something that was once true about them that is now absolutely absurd to imagine and false?
When it comes to food, are they more into savory, salty, sweet, sour, spicy etcetc food? Are they picky with their food or will they eat just about anything that isn't spoiled?
In your opinion, do you think if they were real you would be friends with them or not?
^ Relating to above question, do they consider themself easy to get along with, and is that actually true?
Have you ever tried to make them in a character creator? If so, share pictures (if you have them)!

What's their "theme" color? What color do you associate with them? Is it in their color scheme or just a color that reminds you of them?

How do they react to being disliked? Similarly, how do they express their distaste for others?

This has been bothering me and you seem like the PERFECT person to rant to about it.
Stimblr has a fucking Problem with crediting lately. You know this. You've prolifically posted about it. Namely about people just not crediting or crediting uncredited Pinterest reposts. A fucking hero.
But you know what else people have been doing lately that really grinds my fucking gears?
Crediting SOMEONE'S STIMBOARD that uses and credits SOMEONE ELSE'S STIM. I HAVE TO CLICK THROUGH 5 DIFFERENT STIMBOARDS TO GET TO THE GIF'S ACTUAL FUCKING SOURCE.
Ohhh and you know what I REALLY. LOVE. When I go through 7 fucking boards just to hit a dead end because one of the users deactivated when I KNOW THAT PERSON WAS NOT THE SOURCE OF THAT GIF
re: I saw an old gif of mine used in a board recently and I suspiciously clicked the link. It linked to another board using it. So I clicked on that link. That linked to another board using it. So I clicked on that link. And. That linked to another board using it. ((((((: And then I clicked on that link and..... it was a dead end. It linked to another board using it, but that board's creator had deactivated. So now my gif was just wholly unsourced all because everyone and their mother had to fucking create a chain of tumblr users to go through which is broken the second any of them deactivates.
RRRRRRRRRRRHGHG sorry just. It's been REALLY FUCKING IRKING ME lately. I straight up block people who do this
(not when a longer-standing stim blog does it because I know they're generally reliable and just made a one-time error -- they know better -- but I'm trigger happy on stim blogs I don't recognize or already have a positive repertoire with)
I've seen the same thing happen with my own gifs many times; there's this one bottle cap gif I made that has never once been credited properly because everyone seems to find it from and source the one board that mis-sourced it. Sometimes I contact people about this but the last few times even when I do they don't bother to fix it, even when they say they will.
I'm tired. I don't know what to do about it. I was going to make a sourcing blog but only two people were interested in helping and I started a 9-5 yesterday and I can't afford to burnout again. People frequently get away with being lazy about sourcing and no one actually does anything about it because they're either also too tired or afraid of conflict. And new people see people being lazy and think that's the norm and it spreads and spreads and spreads.
I can feel myself getting more apathetic every time I see it happen. Because there isn't actually anything we can do about it unless we come together and work beyond our limits to put an end to it. People have tried to do similar things before just to maintain sources on deactivated stim blogs and that's been met with mixed results at best.
Idk. I'm tired. I don't even know when my next original post will be. I'm just trying to make it past the probationary period and survive until I get my first paycheck. Stimblr and its problems aren't even on my radar anymore.

hello again! i just posted a board and was wondering if you might be able to help me provide a better source for one of the gifs i used. it's the third gif here:

I searched a very long time for this one, and ended up being able to locate it by reverse image searching a gif that I knew was from the same set. I am so glad I found this gifset quite frankly, as I myself have been looking for it for too long, haha. Here it is! Based on the tags the OP used, I can only assume they shot this footage and reposted it from their first blog that had been deleted.

build-a-bear spring green frog stimboard!
this one is inspired by my own build-a-bear frog, charlie. she's my comfort object and i love her so much. she has a pink, orange, and blue tie-dyed shirt and overalls, so i tried to include those colors. also ofc it needed some rain because when i first got her, it rained every day for the next four days. i liked to joke that she'd never known a world without rain. anyway i love her so much and i love build-a-bear frogs in general

Top Left and Center Left are by Lemat Works on Tumblr.
Middle Center and Bottom Center are by Karmanistic on Tumblr.
Bottom Left was replaced because the creator of the original Bottom Left stim believes that aspec people do not belong in the Queer Community, which I as an aspec person think is wrong, so I removed the GIF to avoid platforming the user. I do not want to hear any argument about this.
