So many drawing ideas for this upcoming Halloween... Like

-Baby Ambrosius in a Gloreth costume with his parents because it's a family tradition for baby's first Halloween (even sillier if you hc him to be born in early fall bc then he's just like. A 2 month old potato who don't even know what's going on but keeps yanking the wig off)

-The Comic Family going out for Halloween and Ballister is going as like a mad scientist or smth (he just wears his normal lab clothes and messes up his hair lol) and Ambrosius is going as the Phantom of the Opera (tell me that bitch wouldn't, w the mask and everything plus he's such a theater camp piece of shit) and Nimona is going as Villain Ballister (she shapeshifted, Ballister is extremely bothered by this) Ambrosius at one point hugged and kissed her from behind because he thought she was Bal and Bal had to rush into the room to 2 tones of high pitched screaming

-The movie boys dressing up as each other (they are cringe but they are free) and Nimona putting on a costume despite being able to shapeshift because she wants to feel included. She'd prob be a dragon or smth

-Gay Dads AU taking their baby (dressed as a shark ofc) trick-or-treating and Ambs is dressed like a Medieval knight (lol) and Ballister is dressed like a Walking Dead-esque zombie (people keep asking him how he made it look like his arm was missing and he responds by just staring at them blankly until they realize)

Okay back on ep 17 of Dungeon Meshi, I just need to have (another) moment.

Holy fuck Falin is. Wow. Listen. Listen to me. Look into my eyes. I'm demisexual. For all intents and purposes of this conversation, asexual. I do not experience the roaring fires of horny lust. I think women are very grabbable and have nice textures, I generally feel an urge to kiss someone before I get ANY ideas about the horizontal tango, I have frequently described my sexuality as "mad scientist" because I just enjoy experimenting and that's where most of the fun comes from. Nowhere else.

I am over here reenacting Hellfire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I'm buckled over in half leaning on a wall like I got punched in the gut. I'm rewatching the episode specifically to watch Falin TPK three parties in excruciating detail.

Sure the resurrection was narratively horny and the bath scene was almost textually horny, but this? This was the narrative saying "hey so Falin's a murder monster now, you need to understand how dangerous she is" and I'm sliding to the floor insensate like I've been concussed. The horny jail cops do not have enough evidence to arrest me because I am doing nothing but staring at Dragon Woman Murder Time like I've forgotten my own body exists.

I watch shonen anime all the time, okay. I love Tokyo Ghoul. Violence and killing are cool. I watched Naruto and they were punching eachother's chests out every other episode, okay. I also look at attractive women. Women are very pretty and I appreciate them. I've even seen pretty women killing people in anime and I mostly just grinned and maybe said "hell yeah".

Is it the fact that she's a chimera??? Is that the missing ingredient? The secret recipe for making my demisexual ass feel something close to allosexual lust is pretty woman slaughtering many people (covered in blood obviously) and also being a Creature. Is that it. Is that my type.

When she started casting spells, thereby proving she is not only a dragon threat but also still a mage threat, I had to pause the episode and take a walk and pour myself a drink.

I don't even personally want to have sex with her. I mean it would probably be lovely. It's more that I just want Falin Touden, dragon lady, to slaughter hundreds of people and I need to watch. The economy of movement, the strategy in spellcasting. Just smashing people like tin cans. I need to see more.

Please help I'm so gay.

Top 5 Transformers (please educate me)

Oh baby I'm gonna go hammy (please note I'm mostly going off Transformers Prime iterations because that's the only show I've watched all the way through) These are my personal favorites: 5. Wheeljack

An inventor with a penchant for making things explode (sometimes on purpose), in Prime he's also a samurai/cowboy lone wolf type, a good mix of badass and goofy.

4. Shockwave

Mad scientist who runs exclusively on logic, basically warcrime central, God is probably afraid of him given how he spends his time in the show reviving actual dragon fossils like it's no big deal.

Also his lil antennas move

3. Ratchet

Tired and annoyed grandpa, he's so done with everyone's shit and a total grump, but also, a giant dork. Big ok boomer energy, did robot steroids once and went absolutely nuts for an episode, and on top of everything he's voiced my Jeffrey goddamn Combs.

2. Knockout

He's the doctor, but for the villains. I can't get enough of him, he's a flashy red sports car, so flamboyantly gay he literally is canonically married in the comics (special shoutout to his himbo husband Breakdown). He's a catty vain sadistic bastard and he carries it so well, look at him go.

1. Starscream

Poor little meow meow supreme, literally so iconic he got an entire trope named after him. He's ambitious, cowardly, treacherous and has an ego the size of a planet but as fragile as glass. He's literally so pathetic and yet somehow cool, I want to hug him and punch him in the face all at once. Not to mention voiced excellently by Steve Blum

Do you have any webcomic recommendations that aren’t on king hiatus’s right now? I found 4 comics that all stopped updating in 2020.

Plenty! Here's a few faves!

Girl Genius, a steampunk mad science adventure webcomic that consistently updates three times a week. Main character is a young mad genius, the lost heir to two powerful families of mad geniuses currently caught in a love triangle with two other heirs to different powerful families of mad geniuses. There are a lot of death rays and corsets. It also has about two decades worth of backlog archive and a really consistently well-plotted story - it's one of those webcomics that started off as a legitimate printed piece before the creators decided this newfangled "internet" thing would be a better, less complicated form of distribution. Unironically a gold standard I hold myself and other webcomics to.

Kill Six Billion Demons, a gorgeously illustrated emotional rollercoaster of an otherworld fantasy adventure. Hapless self-loathing main character ends up with the ultimate macguffin embedded in her forehead and things go downhill from there. A much bloodier tone than I tend to go for, but really well executed and going in interesting directions. Also done by the artist for the Lancer game, and the visuals are very striking. Updates regularly!

Sleepless Domain, a magical girl webcomic spinning a very intriguing overarching mystery. Updates mostly biweekly. Warning, the first couple chapters are a serious emotional hump to get over, and everything since then has basically been consequences of the shit that goes down there. It hits some major tragic lows, but it also has a lot of sweet and funny moments to balance it out!

Friendship Is Dragons, a webcomic with what I would classify as "niche appeal" that happens to appeal directly to me. It's one of a few webcomics with the premise "what if this piece of media was a game of D&D", but the media in question is My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. It's very cute with some actually interesting insights into TTRPG etiquette and diverse playstyles!

Tiger, Tiger, a pseudo-historical fantasy adventure with a Twelfth-Night-style premise of crossdressing love-triangle shenanigans (sheltered young woman takes her brother's identity and fully-staffed naval vessel to pursue her life's ambition of studying sea sponges and not getting married, learns along the way that her brother is very repressed and in love with the man he arranged her future marriage with) and the minor detail that a primary character and implied future love interest for the heroine is basically What If Cthulhu Was A Lesbian.

The Glass Scientists, a relatively recent addition to my pile - a different steampunk mad science webcomic with a core narrative that's basically a retelling of Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde, enhanced by an extremely large and colorful cast of other characters and the strong indication that the "dark and hellish impulses" Doctor Jekyll externalized into Mister Hyde are just gay thoughts. Very colorful and energetic art style, and it slides between cartoon comedy and deep emotional impacts very smoothly. Plus, updates every week!

Felix lore:

Agent Felix joined Zoraxis's team when he was just a little kid, probably about third grade. If he went to school, lol, which he didn't.

He just wandered around a town all day, doing whatever he could to learn. Zor found him- Zor was about mid-thirties at the time- and just straight up adopted Felix. Zor gave Felix lessons on basic stuff like reading, math, etc., basically just all the elementary school stuff- except it only took 2 years. Zor, obviously, was surprised so he gave Felix some options and Felix chose technology.

Zor gave him everything he could to Felix on the subject, and by age 12, Felix had the technology expertise as a mad scientist. Felix started doodling after Zor adopted him, the doodles being very happy in general. Over time, they got.. concerning.. and Zor didn't know what to do about that.

Eventually, as more people joined Zoraxis, the more Felix was left alone with his little inventions. Occasionally, Zor, Hivemind and Charlie visited him (and were the only ones that celebrated his birthday), rarely Solaris for business. Felix loved Hivemind and Charlie like family.

The death engine was built when Felix was thirteen years old, him being oblivious to what he and Solaris were building. Agent Pheonix had seen him during Operation: Seat of Power, and recognized him as a kid.

When the death engine fired for the first time, Felix was devastated. Maybe a bit traumatized. He hated himself for being so oblivious to what he built. He didn't talk, eat or anything for days, even after he heard that Agent Pheonix had stopped the Death Engine. In fact, Felix felt worse becuase people had died.

Pheonix came back after a day or two of recovery and brought Felix to the agency. The agency convinced Felix to join (hesitantly) and almost gave up after ten minutes until Felix finally said one word: "okay". His mental recovery lasted 2 weeks, his fourteenth birthday two days after. His drawings started returning to a happier-looking state during the time. Felix waited a month and a half for agent training to begin, and when it did, it was too slow to match his learning pace. Regardless, he did what he was told without complaint. ...until they gave him a bomb to diffuse.

They knew perfectly well he couldn't diffuse bombs. They gave him one anyways. He had to run to other agents to find someone who could diffuse bombs. Felix was trying to figure out for days why they gave him a bomb. No clear answer was found.

Felix often has regrets leaving Zoraxis, since he misses everyone and he misses being useful. Usually he just looks at his shirt and he no longer has regrets, but recently it hasn't been working. He has a lot of conflicting emotions. He tries to stop the regrets by telling him stuff like "it feels great to be good" (as you know) and stuff like that. They've been working, but not much. The agency is constantly worried he'll switch sides again, but they don't know what to do about it since they don't want to get near him.

Felix doesn't know it, but Zor, Hivemind and Charlie miss him. Zor has had his eyes on Felix since he left and has been hoping he'd come back. The whole John Juniper thing was half-planned in hopes Felix would be sent on a mission. (I'm listening to This Is What Autumn Feels Like right now and it's throwing ideas like this at me ashgdhwhdhend)

Then Felix gets kidnapped, he runs away, you know the drill if you were reading/involved in it. He came back worse than before, almost back to his old state after the death engine. His memory was a little more messed up and he has major trust issues.

Dragon Age Inquisition actually is pushing SO many buttons for me right now. Non-consensual body modification. Forced into leadership. Puppet ruler. Being the new guy at work. Puppet ruler determined to hold and use ACTUAL power for themself to create good and meaningful change in the world. Taking a crisis and turning it into an opportunity. Diplomacy and working with people you can't stand. Sick outfits. Tall, muscular blonde women who could crack me open like a pumpkin, with men to match. Confronting your abusive homophobic family. Being leader-by-default-of "no one else wants to make a decision". Staring death in the face and meeting it head-on. Questioning religion and fate. Mysterious hermit who is a disgraced powerful magic user becoming an advisor to a young upstart. Healers attending your bedside. Ethical dilemmas. Cultic fanatics who are kind of justified. Alternative lifestyles that suggest there might be hope for the world after all. Slightly mad scientist (good). Magic users who are like "sweet! I have magic and wear light armor! I'm going to magic up a SWORD for myself and engage in melee combat!". Reckoning with incredible guilt. Fantasy that's just a bit sci-fi. Secret magical floating singing top hat in the sub-basement. Great views. Road trips. Time travel. Mysterious benefactor who is a demographic that my people are biased against so I have to vouch for them later. Somebody who was a huge asshole to me telling me that they were wrong and I'm valid, and then dying in very short order. Cool technology and architecture from multiple ancient civilizations. Getting to tell major political leaders that they work for you now. Climbing. Puzzles. Trans people (canon). Cave with a daylight forest in it. Cliffside village. Betrayal. Getting shoved against a wall and made out with. Getting shitfaced with your boyfriend after killing a dragon so you can give him a token of commitment. Grief. Doing nice things for people and building relationships. Telling the bad guy that if he wants the bomb so bad he can have it and then shoving it into his face. Going to a fancy ball and the best parts of it are that your friends are there and there's little party snacks, and your love interest comes out to check on you after the excitement is over. Getting to be nice to people who don't expect that. Gay-flirting with straight people; straight-flirting with gay people. Bears. Bisexuals. Tactical tree houses. Jungles of varying climate with ancient architecture that includes puzzles. Varric Tethras.

7. what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them? For some reason I'm having a hard time thinking of these, though I know there have to be some. There's definitely characters fandom has made me dislike MORE, or ones where I don't hate them in canon but am over the fandom portrayal (usually due to woobification.) But I'm blanking on examples for some reason. (Also is a whole piece of media an option here because I literally hate Star Wars because of the fans not the movies >.>)

12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them Hmm. The answer might at one point have been Boromir, but thankfully he seems to have had a reappraisal in recent years so it's only more casual fans who say stuff that makes me want to fight them XD

Actually you know what? My answer is going to be fucking Beautiful Suzuki from YYH. Is he absolutely ridiculous? Fuck yeah. Is Genkai wrecking his shit hilarious? Also yes. But Team Urameshi literally would have lost the tournament without his help- like indisputably, Kuwabara would have lost his match and Kurama (despite losing on a technicality either way) would have almost certainly been killed. He's actually smart and an incredibly skilled inventor trying to do his shit in a realm that seems to only value brute fighting skill (I love fandom portrayals of him as a bit of a mad scientist), and his little speech to them about wanting to help them prove that underdogs can win- even though they kicked his ass- always has me genuinely cheering. And he fights in the Dark Tournament because he's a famewhore, but he comes back to Kurama in s4 out of genuine loyalty and seems to have genuinely put the ego (mostly) in check. Also whatever he and Shishi have going on in s4 is cute XD

He is just a big gay diva who shoots rainbows out of his hands and I support him dammit Also NRS can still meet me in the pit over their treatment of Kung Lao but I'm not sure that counts either XD 24. topic that brings up the most rancid discourse

"Is Billy Hargrove racist?" which honestly shouldn't really be discourse because the answer is literally yes. Any discourse about if Seladon is evil or not- yes she mega fucks up, I would definitely agree for a little too long after being presented with the evidence (I don't actually lose my patience with her until she's in prison after that encounter with the Skeksis and still blames Brea, everything before that I basically understand where she's coming from even if she's wrong). But I've heard people say that she's WORSE than the Skeksis, and that she deserves her own genocide, in ways that always reek of misogyny, which. Wow fuck off. Also the champion personally is still "is LiuLao incest," because a) no, b) honestly don't even care at this point if it is, and c) fuck off forever. Any discourse about the Feanorians is always a mess but I kinda feel like that is appropriate because they are a mess and so are my feelings about them. Same with anything about Rhaenyra Targaryen/the rest of Fire and Blood/House of the Dragon. Any and all fandom purity culture horseshit. Also I have Very Strong opinions about which Fire Emblems are good and why but I just don't get into that anymore bc why bother

today you get. tracing. because my arm wrist and hand still hurt. these are based on dragon cards from FlameCraft (og cards under the cut) edited to look like mine and my friends minecraft ocs. my oc may not count as a blorbo but my friends' do 😤

First two is Nobel and Moriel (they're gay) second one is Ogilvie (he's baby). more about them + why they're colored how they are under the cut

OK so. these are "Fancy" dragons in the game. They don't follow the color rules but I wanted to anyways. Almost all of them have a Pair (Hocus and Pocus, there's also Westly and Buttercup) and I'm PRETTY sure Buddy and Goldrush are a Pair.

The different dragon colors correspond to different "types"/materials in the game. The bright purple of Nobel's is a Potion Dragon. Nobel is a mad scientist! The more muted grayish purple and blue of Moriel's is an Iron Dragon. Like Moriel, strong and unwavering. Pink Dragons aren't defined in the game, but they're on the box art with the other color-specific dragons and context clues lead me to believe they're Gift Dragons. Ogi is my character and I'm the richest person on the server so I am always giving shit away. They also represent friendship. and my little guy just wants friends so bad.

Just finished binging Castlevania: Nocturne last night and oh my word it was so good! Spoilers ahead though:

The costumes are absolutely stunning.

I love using the French Revolution as a backdrop for this series and it being relevant to the plot.

Richter is a very distinct character from Trevor and I love that. Also seeing him have PTSD from losing his mom, freeze up during battles, and run away is so important to me

The characters for this show feel more like young adults or late teenagers than the slightly more mature cast of the original series, and I like that.

The animation style is different. I think the characters’ designs feel more distinct from each other than in the original series.

Annette is awesome. An earth-bending warrior who’s hunting down the man who enslaved her? Her character design? Fantastic. I can’t speak to the accuracy or quality of her different cultural backgrounds, but I thought it was a cool element.

Maria? Just everything about her design and character? Love her

Olrox. I literally will never shut up about Olrox. An Aztec vampire, voiced by a native voice actor, who can turn into a dragon? Confirmed gay within the first four episodes? Also he has such a badass introduction and an impeccable sense of style. He may be evil but he draws the line at colonizers

We are still leaning heavily into the corruption of the church hierarchy as a theme in this franchise, and I am here for it. The Abbot is hair-tugging-inducingly self-righteous. Someone put it better than I did, but essentially he’s that one old conservative at your dinner table who actually doesn’t think certain people deserve rights

Forgemastering has taken on an even more mad scientist flavoring than before, and yet the new forgemaster seems worse at creating effective monsters?

Drolta’s costume design is impeccable, and she’s an excellent villain

The theme of vampires being representative of the rich, the church, and colonizers is so good! Especially to the point that the arch villain of the series is literally a white woman who has appropriated the title of an Egyptian god and is planning to rule the entire world, enforcing her own idea of what the proper order is. I eat that theme up

Also my boy is back and looking like his Symphony of the Night design!

My only critique is that the pacing feels a bit fast, but that doesn’t make or break the show for me.
