Also, what the hell was the Magnus institute in this universe?? It sure doesn't sound like the one from TMA with that "gifted kids program" and I'm very confused about it. I think I have to get out my theory board again...

Celia is still a complete mystery to me. Is she from TMA?? Is it just her memories that went to tmagp?? Who knows!! But she has connections to Georgie, which is. Also confusing, she could also be from the "original timeline," but that doesn't really make sense, does it?

There's also still the question of whether the fears even really exist here or if they're different ones?

Could it be that not all of the fears got brought to this universe???

There are so many options and possibilities, and I don't know if I like any of them

Another thing, am I the only one who thought that Alice sounded a bit.. off?

And of course, there's also the whole thing with Gwen, but... I don't think we can really start theorizing just yet. We don't have enough info about it...

Yet he wasn't done with her - oh, no, he was just getting started. He gently peppered kisses down her body, along her chin, past her collarbone, between her breasts, against her toned abs-

And then he found himself eye-to-eye with her wound, now scarred-over, fresh, pink flesh standing out against the pale, soft skin of her stomach. He froze, his heart nearly stopping as all the emotions from that night came roaring back - the battle, the death, the destruction, the way she laid limply in his arms, covering the both of them in her blood… How he'd thought… he'd thought…

"Varrus?"

He barely even registered Jess' breathless, concerned voice, as he felt overcome with guilt - how he'd marred her perfect body, how she'd nearly-

"Varrus."

This time, she forcefully caught his attention, her impossibly soft, warm hand sliding beneath his chin and tilting his head up to meet her concerned gaze.

"I- I'm sorry, I-"

"It's not your fault," she insisted, eyebrows furrowing as she cut off his stammering.

"You… You don't understand," he sighed, closing his eyes with a shuddered breath and pressing his head into her belly. "I thought I'd lost you… My entire world came crashing down in that single moment, watching you fall to the ground, carrying you back to the castrum… I… I just… I don't think I could have gone on without you." He opened his eyes once more, feeling the hot burn of tears welling in his eyes as he tilted his head up to meet her beautiful stare. "I can't imagine my life without you - without you, I'm just... I need you… more than you could ever know, and to see you like that, I-"

"I'm alive, Varrus." Gently, she urged him back up with a tug on his ear, pulling him back down to her lips as soon as he was above her once more for a soft, chaste kiss. "What's done is done - what matters is that we're both here, together, and as alive as we'll ever be."
