I love the unstoppable force vs. immovable object thing so much when people associate it with characters like
Love it to death. For me, (unsurprisingly) it’s just so hankcon.
Hank’s entire life came to a skidding halt like breaks desperately trying to gain traction. He knows what it feels like to not have control of the force and more importantly what it cost him. Why would he risk that again?
Connor has never known a day where he could so much as hesitate. Whether he’s a deviant or not, he always has to be unstoppable. He has a mission to accomplish or an unlikely event he has to bring to fruition. He can’t afford to even slow down, much less stop
But maybe the immovable object wants to feel the rush of sweet movement again, and maybe the unstoppable force wants to be held still in his tracks by something sturdy for just a second
Maybe one can’t do it with the other—or maybe they could, eventually, but it would feel much slower. Hollower.
Maybe it’s the inevitable, breathless impact of one meeting the other they’re craving
Maybe they’ll find out. Maybe they won’t

I think this point got a little lost amid the general fandom glee at Dominique and Vanitas bonding (or at least it did for me), but looking back at chapter 60, the implications that this scene has for Vanitas are fucking wild.
It's not the only aspect of her relationship with him, but a huge cornerstone of Dominique's feelings toward Noé is the fact of her absolutely massive crush on him. Like, as much as she's venting about how he frustrates her, Dominique's thoughts on Noé in this scene are the thoughts of a woman that is canonically in love with him. And Vanitas apparently thinks/feels the exact same way.
As their shared venting reaches its fever pitch, Vanitas and Dominique both reach the exact same ending point. Noé is stubborn and overly straightforward and unrelenting, and both of them feel helpless against it. And they say as much!
They say as much, and then they both cut themselves off and flinch away in the exact same way, as though they've said too much. They've revealed some deeper truth about their feelings and the ways that Noé's force of personality affects them.
Dominique reacts this way presumably because she touched a little too close to the reality of her romantic feelings for him. The thing cut off at the end of "Since he's like that, I—" is some expression of the depths of her incredible fondness for and attraction to him. And Vanitas apparently feels the exact same way as Dominique. He expresses almost the exact same outward sentiment and catches himself and flinches in the exact same way. So if Dominique is speaking here in (albeit frustrated) love, then what emotions is Vanitas speaking from?

i love love love the quote "tu sais que je crois à toi" ("you know i believe in you") in les miserables cause it hold so much meaning for grantaire's character cause he's a cynic, he's not supposed to believe in anything but he believes so much in enjolras that he's willing to die for the cause etc
but at the same time i can help but to think that this line is just a lie. he doesn't believe in enjolras, because believing in him means believing in the cause and in the revolution and everything enjolras' character symbolizes. he doesn't believe in him, he loves him. he means "you know i love you", but obviously doesn't say it (and so enjolras doesn't know it). he doesn't go to the barricades because he believes in the cause. he goes to the barricades because he loves enjolras so much he can't do anything else.

manifesting a s7 bi buck confirmation where the 118 are on a call and the victim/their friend/Random Civilian is getting annoyed makes a comment aimed at buck & eddie about "straight white men" and they both look offended then eddie says "do I look white???" and buck's like "do I look straight???"
how the others react (if at all) is tbc at this stage
i'm a sucker for inappropriate whisper arguments in the Absolute Worst of Situations so now all i'm seeing is eddie whipping around to buck when he says it with the widest doe eyes any human being has ever achieved and oblivious little buck waving the vic/friend/civilian off like "it's fine, could happen to anyone, you know" and then eddie's like "uh, yeah, it did, you're not straight?" and then it's like for the GA oh no are they going to do a kind of internalised homophobia arc for eddie where he re-examines his entire friendship with buck after finding out he likes men and yes he is going to re-examine his entire friendship with buck after finding out he likes men but it'll be the opposite of internalised homophobia (externalised homoeroticism)

"The Lonely’s really got you, hasn’t it?"
"You know, I think it always did.
" Maybe... Well, I’ll be here, if you ever need me."
"I hope so."
"just don't wait too long, okay? if you haven't already."
