A Memori Fic Rec
Hi Friends! In the spirit of celebrating memori engagement week I’ve decided to celebrate some of my favorite fics! Under the cut are a range of fics in different genres and ratings, divided between canon fics and AUs. It’s long but by no means exhaustive. All these fics are completed ;) Happy reading!
Canon Compliant Fics
How All This, And Love Too, Will Ruin Us by biextroverts
Rating: T, One-shot; Genre: Found Family/Angst
Emori finds a family and loses a lover on the Ring.
A great Ring fic that covers the six years in space. I’ve only read it once because it made me That Sad, which is really a testament to how well writting and IC it is, so if you’re a sucker for angst and raven&emori friendship definitely give this a read.
The Lotus Eaters by maelidify: @maelidpoetree
Rating: M (no smut), One shot; Genre: Fluff, Character Study
“I don’t like this place, John,” she said. “We’re not safe here.”
Am I partial to this fic because it was a gift to me? Yes, but I firmly believe that more people need to read it and that the author deserves more recognition in general! This pre 4.08 science island fic is sweet and romantic but explores inner conflicts of nature in such a beautiful way (with some awesome anecdotes and metaphors). All her writing is beautiful and poetic and it’s worth your while to go through her memori tag to find/read the stuff she hasn’t posted on AO3.
Cataclysmic by maelidify; @maelidpoetree
Rating: E (by author request don’t read if you’re not 18+) One-shot, Genre: Angst
She’s looking up at him, half angry, half looking for permission for something. For what—?
Oh.
More breakup angst!! This remains the best Murphy POV I’ve read, it’s messy and angry and sad and the fic tears me up a little every time. I’d even recommend this to people who don’t like/read smut because, while present, it’s tasteful and really this fic is about all the emotions. If the two fics in a row haven’t clued you in just read everything Liz writes, because I don’t have space to talk about all her fics but they are all worth your time!!
First Impressions by interlude; @bombshellsandbluebells
Rating: T, One-shot; Genre: Drama
John Murphy comes back to Arkadia with an unfamiliar grounder woman. The Arkadians and former delinquents react.
(Or: Memori seen from different points of view. Takes places between 4x03 and 4x04.)
Personally I’m a big sucker for outsider POV fics, and the author does a great job with keeping all those outsiders in character and addressing their most pressing motivations while keeping memori in the spotlight of the fic. The story has all the urgency present in s4 and fills in some of the gaps nicely!
The Wild by Debate; @stupidspaceseven
Rated: M, Multichapter; Genre: Fluff
When Emori points up at the sky, it’s with a pointer finger twice the width of his own. He locks away the knowledge that she trusts him deep inside his chest.
[Post Wanheda 2, detailing Murphy and Emori's early season 3 adventures as they grow to mean the world to each other.]
This one is a shameless self-promotion, but I’m recommending it because I think it’s really good!! Fun shenanigans, theft, first kisses, angsty backstory reveals, smut, this fic basically has the works, and I’m like, 98% sure it’s the longest memori canon complaint fic out there. (I have a host of other memori fics, canon compliant and otherwise if you want to check those out too, but this one’s my personal favorite).
Canon Divergent AUs
Her What If List by the_most_beautiful_broom; @the-most-beautiful-broom
Rating: G, One-shot; Genre: Meet Cute/Ugly
Memori Appreciation Week: Day One: Canon Divergence
Emori and Otan's latest robbery goes awry when the mark ends up being very much awake, but all's well that end's well, and an unexpected connection is made in the middle of the desert.
And she wonders if his eyes weren’t just sad, that they were just asleep. Because maybe it’s the fire, or the fading adrenaline, but now Emori can swear his eyes are sparkling. Which is a stupid thing to think. She’s in the middle of the dead zone, with a gun that isn’t a gun, and a man who could be conning her just like she’s trying to con him.
A really imaginative AU with Grounder!Murphy. This puts our characters in a familiar situation but makes it new and unique. Emori’s POV is both critical and vulnerable and the memori banter is amazing!
home is what the heart protects by emperor_bell
Rating: G, One-shot; Genre: Family/Friendship
"John Murphy had lived a hundred lifetimes in his year on the ground and yet still, somehow, after a year of living in space again, nineteen year old John Murphy hears the word “dad” and his first thought is 'I’m too young.'"
I'm obsessed with the thought of Emori having a baby in space, and I set out to write Memori parents. Instead I wrote 2k words of John Murphy feelings. Enjoy.
More messy feelings! The dialogue here and what characters (mostly Murphy) do versus what they think and say is really interesting and makes for an engaging read. Plus a look at how complicated memori as parents would be and a super angsty sequel if that’s the kind of thing you’re into!
Taking A Village by Zaffie
Rated: M, Multichapter; Genre: Found Family/Survival
Once they get it all sorted, the technical aspect of living on the Ring turns out to be the easy part. It's the rest which is hard. Everyone's got their personal demons to face - except when you're seven people trapped together for five-plus years, "personal" is easier said than done.
This one is much less memori-centric than spacekru-centric, but it’s probably my favorite Ring fic, and the AU aspects just make it better. Both Murphy and Emori are incredibly in character and their chapter is beautiful and sad. If you happen to also be a big Spacekru or Raven fan this fic is a must. Also there’s a great sequel in the works!
I know the sound of your heart by dylanobrienisbatman; @dylanobrienisbatman
Rating: G, One-shot; Genre: Fluff
Bellamy fought hard, and got them the 80 acres on the edge of the valley. They built a house, big enough for all of them, they had a farm, they were happy and safe. Emori should be happy, she should feel like it was enough, but it wasn't. She and John were still apart, and their history made her scared to try.
But as time went on, she watched as John became part of the group. She kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, but the longer she waited, the more it seemed like he was really better.
Was it time to give him another chance?
The soft spacekru feels in this one are almost as great as the memori ones which feature reconciliation and addressing their s5 issues in a healthy way. The lead up to them getting back together is as good the second go around as in the first.
eat, drink, and be merry by flowermasters
Rating: G, One-shot; Genre: Fluff
Murphy and Emori do what they can to improve morale.
So this is the wedding fic that everybody needs in these hours. There’s a healthy dose of spacekru to make it all the ore sweeter and Murphy and Emori are adorably in love while trying to maintain their aloof and uncaring reputations. This fic did so much to heal my soul while in the depth of the s5 angst.
In This Valley by Kats_watermelon; @katswatermelon
Rating: T, One-shot; Genre: Angst/Fluff/Kidfic
written for day 1 of memori week, prompt: canon divergence
This is mostly a really fun spec fic if God Complex went worse and Murphy and Emori got six years alone on Earth. There are big shifts in tone from the start to the end of the fic, but they feel earned and memori have a cure kid in addition to Madi and you get to see them square up with Diyoza asap. Something for everyone!
Life After the Mountain by Ghelik; @ghelikblack
Rating: T, Series of One-shots; Genre: Hurt/Comfort
The Mountain falls and the grounders keep their distance, because the Sky-People are soldiers that have earned their respect and the lands of the Mountain that they have conquered. Which is good, because skaikru might need a break.
Series of one-shots in an AU where season 3 kind of didn't happen, but elements of it might be borrowed from.
This one is a little different because it’s a series of one shots and not all of them deal with memori but the fair majority of them do, and it’s a great what-if of how Murphy and Emori learn to function in society in a (sort of) kinder world. There’s lots of angst and vulnerability and feelings of inadequacy as well as fluff and healing. The fics span genres so there’s probably something for everybody!
Burn brighter than we ever have before by Zoadgo; @jonnmurphy
Rating: G, One-shot; Genre: Drama
Murphy flees an unknown threat in the Promised Land, running right back to the desert that almost killed him the first time he crossed it. It seems intent on fixing its past failures, and Murphy isn't strong enough to fight it on his own, this time. But someone from his past offers him a chance to survive, and even to prosper in the Dead Zone. That is, if he can bring himself to trust someone who has already betrayed him once.
Another great Murphy POV with additional cool (or hot, rather) desert descriptions and personal conflict. It’s a cool what-if and explores how things could have gone down if t100 didn’t go full scifi. Most of all Murphy and Emori’s understandings of each other/immediate connection shine through.
Show Them the Mercy They Won’t Find on Earth by berxnica
Rating: NA (no smut), One-shot; Genre: Drama
she just showed up swollen and scared, eyes so impossibly big that they left no room for a smile. she pulled murphy aside and removed the blanket that she previously was clutching to her stomach. and there it was, her stomach, swollen and full and round with the promise of life.
Another memori becoming parents fic, but in a different era. The character understanding shines through in the prose here. Our faves are suspicious and afraid and angry while still being soft with one another. If kidfic is your thing at all it’s def worth your time!
Earth Skills: Reap What You Sow by BeaRyan
Rating: E, Multichapter; Genre: Crack/Smut
That week everyone got high on mutant corn and John Murphy realized juvenile prison might not have taught him everything he needed to know about how to please a woman. Canon adjacent.
This is a Memori story from John Murphy's snark-tastic POV and as such contains minor whomp of everyone. Complete.
This story contains a multitude of side pairings, but it is really good for a laugh, and despite being cracky Murphy and Emori’s feelings are very real and present and sweet. A grand ‘ole fic.
AUs
Litany by infernalandmortal; @infernalandmortal
Rating: T, Mulichapter; Genre: Angst, Hurt/Comfort
After leaving an abusive relationship, Murphy moves into his best friend's house. He's fine, really. Their new roommate comes with more than enough baggage of her own.
(A Memori college AU)
If you read memori fic chances are you’ve read this, but it’s definitely worth reiterating! Great writing really brings forth raw emotions from both Murphy and Emori’s POVs and a lot of reading this fic is like getting sucker punched in the best way. There’s also a nice side helping of found family feels, and you get it all in Amanda’s lovely prose (her setting descriptions? kill me) truly a must read.
Little Beast by infernalandmortal: @infernalandmortal
Rating: T, Multichapter
Genre: Angst, Hurt/Comfort
John meets her eyes from across the room. What are you running from? his eyes ask.
Nothing, she blinks back. Everything.
“Will I see you again?” His eyes are trying not to be earnest. They are a strange shade of blue-green in the flickering yellow street light outside her house. They are uncomfortably difficult to read.
“Maybe.” It’s all she can give. She’s supposed to fear boys like this. “I’d like to.”
(A Memori-centric small-town AU. Title and opening excerpts from Little Beast by Richard Siken.)
Less angsty than Litany, but no less emotional, this fic is *chef’s kiss*. The fic features Murphy and Emori growing together and becoming family with one another while trying to manage their pasts. The growth the characters have through the fic is amazing and the ending make me feel all kinds of Soft. There are also bonus drabbles in the same ‘verse. And after you read those you might as well read everything else by this author because her stories are numerous and amazing.
Don’t be surprised if I love you (for all that you are) by not_a_total_basket_case; @raven-reyes-of-sunshine
Rating: G, One-shot
Genre: Fluff
Emori doens't want to find her soulmate, she wants to make that choice herself.
Who doesn’t like a good soulmate AU? The mechanics of soulmates in this AU are really unique and structured in a way to make the payoff at the end all the better. It’s a great friends to lovers story, and the supporting cast is lovely too, this fic make you feel all warm inside.
Tired of Yourself and All of Your Creations by Chash
Rating: T, One-shot
Genre: Fluff/Drama
Murphy didn't ask to be successful and relatively wealthy and friends with people in good standing in society. It just sort of happened, and now there are all these families who apparently think he'd be a good match for their daughters. Being a respectable member of society is a pain, really.
I certainly didn’t know I needed a memori Regancy!AU until I read this, but the characterizations were picture perfect and the plot quick and smart without getting pulled down by the type of dialogue common in regency writing. A very fun AU!
Quiet Thought Come Floating Down and Settle by LayALioness
Rating: T, One-shot; Genre: Drama/Fluff
When Murphy meets the girl, it’s not under the best circumstances.
A great example of canon transferred to modern AU well with prickly Murphy and mysterious Emori. The story is fast paced and all of Murphy’s inner musings and snark are highly amusing.
traitors never win by Kats_watermelon; @katswatermelon
Rating: T, Multichapter; Genre: Crime/Drama
Murphy's been kicked out of his crew. Emori's been alone for a while now. They both have a knack for robbery and dreams bigger than their pasts, and they're willing to steal from anyone and everyone to prove it.
If you like the high drama this is for you, a very edge of your seat read with a great payoff at the end. Lovely dialogue as well and a combo of both Murphy’s and Emori’s POVs.
Golden by frikdreina;
Rating: E, One-shot; Genre: Smut/Fluff
It was their two years anniversary and Emori had planned this for weeks. Murphy would be at her place after seven and Emori skipped her last period so she could get everything done before he got there. Her heart was pounding as she unlocked the door to her apartment, the thrill of anticipation taking over her. It was like if electricity was running through her veins and she couldn’t get enough of it, with her mind drifting to the way he kissed her and how his touch had always felt right on her skin.
If you’re just looking for some hot and sweet memori smut this is the fic for you! Doesn’t get into anything too kinky and remains intimate throughout with great descriptions.
she’s the tear in my heart by flowermasters
Rating: M, One-shot; Genre: Fluff/Drama
Murphy is in love with the girl he's sleeping with, and is incredibly bad at handling it.
Oh man This Fic. The banter is amazing and full of little call backs and tie ins, the descriptions speak to Murphy and Emori so well and transfer to a modern AU so easily. The fic is lovely and if you want something where Murphy and Emori are just dumb about their feelings than this is for you. Another author to keep your eye on if you like memori (or becho) fics.

Home - A One Shot
this is all about being stressed and tired and having a hard day, but coming home to an empty house because Shawn has to go and be a mega star. Except for the house isn’t empty at all. Lots of internal angst and then super super super fluff. I really like this for some reason. Let me know if you fucks wit it.
It was your fifth time in a row not getting home until after eight o'clock at night. There was so much tension in your shoulders that you had to keep consciously reminding yourself to let them drop. Your arms were full of your computer bag and your purse and your bag that held all of your work materials that would always find some way to come home with you. Your body was tired and maybe your soul was a little tired too, and you just were ready for the day to be over.
You opened the door to your apartment and the first thing you noticed was the gentle hum of the dishwasher. It was one of your favorite sounds. You found it soothing and it reminded you of deep cleaning on the weekend and the satisfaction of a pristine house. Since you had been working late every day that week there hadn't been time to run the dishwasher at all, or do anything but pile the empty bowl of cereal you'd used as a sad excuse for dinner. Which lead you to wonder just who had felt the need to wash your dishes.
You dropped your keys and various bags on the couch taking in the cleanliness of the apartment. Someone had swept and mopped the hardwood floors. The pillows were set up nicely on the couch, and the rug you'd gotten as a housewarming present had been vacuumed. You sighed a sigh of relief knowing that it was more than likely Karen stopping by to take obsessive care of you again instead of a house cleaning bandit.
Sliding out of your heels, you headed towards the kitchen on bare feet hoping desperately that the leftover pizza from a couple days ago would satisfy your hunger. In the kitchen he was standing there, tongue tucked between his lips in frustration as he tried to scrub away at a bowl. He was wearing one of white, designer t-shirts that hung billowy on his tall but sleek frame. A curl hung in his face and your heart lurched forward like it wanted to explode from your chest. It'd been a long day, a long week, a long month, and here he was standing in front of you. There was really only one thing for you to do.
Shawn turned sharply toward you as a wet gurgling sound left your chest and you fell apart in extremely embarrassing fashion.
"Babe? Hey-- are you crying?!"
How could you even begin to explain that being your own boss with a board of directors that had the ability to fire you defeated the purpose of being the boss? How could you explain that you were tired, and your feet hurt, and you'd spilled coffee on your favorite blouse, and you'd had every intention of coming home and drinking an entire bottle of wine in one of his hoodies, and yet here he was with his dumb, perfect face just standing there? What was there to say when he just made everything infinitely better always?
He dropped the bowl back into the sink wrapping his arms around you suds and all and dropping his chin comfortingly to your head.
"You're home." You croaked into the soft fabric of his t-shirt.
He chuckled. "I am. I gotta say, not exactly the response I was expecting."
"Sorry," You sniffled.
He leaned back running his warm, callused thumbs along your eyes to gather the tears there.
"Is everything okay?"
You nodded, cheeks reddening. "Just wasn't expecting to see you."
"Bad day?"
"Bad week."
He frowned down at you before peppering your face, lips, and head with a ridiculous amount of kisses until you started to giggle.
"Well maybe I can help. I uh cleaned up. Even soaked the bowls with dried on cereal like you taught me. And I made pasta. And i bought wine. I thought we could celebrate my being home and your being generally amazing."
Your body was trying to produce more tears at that statement and you had to fight it throwing your arms around him for a hug instead. He held your body close, warm and smelling suspiciously like home. The stress of the day melted as he held you in his arms. He kissed at your hair and gave you a second to compose yourself, which was desperately needed. Afraid he might disappear if you didn't take full advantage you tangled your fingers with his and let him lead you to the dinner table where the food was all waiting.
"When did your flight even get in?" You asked he poured you a generous glass of wine.
This man knew you like the back of his hand.
"Finished up some promo in LA, and instead of spending the night in the hotel, I took a flight late last night to get here this morning. You were already at work by the time I got in. Figured I'd surprise you." He smiled.
You huffed out a breath taking a huge gulp of wine.
"Consider me surprised."
"Yea? Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked clearly referring to whatever had caused you to burst into tears at the sight of him.
You shrugged reaching for his hand. "Not really. Just wanna be with you."
He smiled soft and dopey.
"I think that can be arranged."
Shawn’s cooking skills were shaky at best, but pasta did seem to be his specialty. The food was good and he’d bought your favorite wine for the occasion. He held your hand while you ate listening while you caught him up on everything going on in your world. It always seemed a little ridiculous to try and compete with the world that he lived in, with stadium shows and recording studios and screaming fans. But, when he was home he was completely locked into you, and had this way of actually making you believe that your life was remotely interesting. He cared, which was weird, but you kind of liked it.
“I thought maybe I could run the tub for you. Help with the stress?” He asked when the dishes had joined the dishwasher, and the wine had been drunk.
You wrapped your arms around his waist booping your nose against his.
“Will you take one with me?”
He ran his thumb across your lip smiling down at you like you were more than you were, because he always saw more. And maybe that’s why you worked so well
“I don’t know if I’ll fit, but we can try.”
Shawn’s biggest need when you had been apartment hunting was that there was a view that would inspire him when he woke up in the morning. He wanted to see something that would get him to write as much as possible. Your biggest need on the other hand had been a big ass bathtub because…. Well because you liked bubble baths dammit.
Shawn filled the tub adding your favorite bubble bath while you shed your clothes and tried to shed the weight of work and anything else that wasn’t you and Shawn getting to be together again. In the bathroom, the room was steamy and warm and your husband was just kind of sitting there watching the water fill.
You took the time to take him in. The long curve of his back. His curls were especially messy today and you could tell he’d spent a lot of time tugging at them, more than likely when he was trying to figure out how the hell to clean the apartment. He’d gotten some sun in LA and his sensitive skin had both a golden look to it, as well as red splotches along his cheeks. While you were stressed out at the world, he looked rather content, which usually came with getting the album out and having the fans positively react to it. Promotion didn’t really stress Shawn out because it just kind of felt like the cherry on top for him. It was an interesting moment in time because while a few months ago he had needed your support during the creation of the album, now you really needed him. And the fact that he showed up just felt like he was everything you could have ever asked for.
“You’re staring.” Shawn grinned catching you standing at the door.
You nodded. “Little bit. Is the water ready?”
“I think so. Do you wanna test it, make sure I didn’t do it wrong?”
You crossed the room and let your fingers skim past the bubbles and into the water. It was warm, a little on the hotter side, just the way you liked it. You could feel his eyes on your face looking for you to confirm that he did it right, and you were more than willing to praise him.
“It’s perfect.” You hummed
He reached out snaking his arm around you to pull you close by one of the ties on your robe.
“Good. You deserve perfection.”
He pressed his lips against yours and you sighed, lips parting just enough to let his tongue slip inside. Sometimes you forgot how good he could make your body feel. It always surprised you how attentive he was, how he just seemed to pull emotions from you with ease. When his hands were on you you felt safe, felt wanted. And everytime he came home those emotions seemed to amplify exponentially.
Watching Shawn fit himself into the tub was quite hilarious. It was a huge tub, so big you’d had to get a designer to hunt one down. But, you had gone for width and not length, so his six foot plus frame fit oddly in the tub, knees sticking out of the water. He was adorable covered in bubbles though and he wouldn’t stop smiling at you for nothing. You were sitting on the opposite side of the tub building a bubble fort to cover your body when you felt his hand grace your thigh beneath the water.
“What are you doing all the way over there?” He asked.
You chuckled. “We’re like five inches away from each other, babe.”
“Exactly, too much. Come here.” He insisted making grabby hands at you like a child.
You laughed letting him grabs your hands and pull you closer in the tub. He maneuvered you, back to chest, your thighs bracketed by his. Though you’d never admit it, it was the most wonderful feeling you could ever fail to describe. His arms leaning on the edge of the tub, holding your hand so that your wedding rings touched, and your heart beat softer and sweeter inside your sternum. This was home. Not the penthouse extravagant apartment, or the tub, or the view. Home was him. And the craziest part was that he somehow believed you were too.
“I’m not crushing your dick am I?” You mumbled leaning back against his chest.
He laughed. “I promise you if you were crushing my dick, you’d hear about it.”
“K. Just precious cargo and all that.”
“Are you saying you only love me for my penis?”
“I’m saying I love lots of things about you. Especially your penis.” You smirked. “Now hold me, eh?”
He let his arms dip into the water pulling more bubbles toward you with a tiny wave as his arms came to do what you’d asked. His large palms tested on your thighs and it was as sensual as it was cozy. You felt most like yourself in moments like these. When it was just the two of you and you knew that no matter what came out of your mouth there would be no judgement. He sometimes felt like the best part of you, but you loved more that he could rattle off dozens of things that he liked more about you. His lips grazed your shoulder and you just wanted to fold into him, to allow yourselves to become one. Because maybe then he wouldn’t leave again.
“I love you.” He whispered seemingly out of nowhere, but you wondered if his mind was where yours was.
Was he counting down the hours of the next flight, the next interview, the next performance? Were you any better at hiding the pain that hit when it did?
You took one of his hands off your thigh cradling it in both of yours as you placed it between your breasts, right where your heart was. You wanted him to feel the way it beat, the way it was when he was there.
“I don’t think I breathe the same when you’re away.” You murmured. “I think my heart beats to a different rhythm… like it’s trying to protect itself until you get back. Like I’m farther away from home every mile we’re apart.”
“That’s really beautiful” He murmured with a soft chuckle against your neck. “And really sad.”
You strained your neck, sliding farther down in the tub so that you could peer up at him. He let his hand move from your heart, past your neck, to grip your cheek. He kissed you softly eyes open the entire time and you felt like you were melting in the water. He’d always had that effect on you.
“You know I’d take you everywhere with me if I could right?” He whispered stroking your jaw with his thumb.
“Y--Yea. I know.”
“Your job is really important to you. And I love that about you. I don’t want your life to revolve around me just because of the career I chose. You don’t wanna be a tour wife, and I don’t want you to throw everything away for me.”
It was a conversation you’d had time and time again. Being your own person, your own woman, was wonderful and important and empowering. But, sometimes you just wanted him to hold you in his arms and it was devastating when he wasn’t there.
“I know. I know.” You huffed, your eyebrows drawing together. “It’s just hard right now. I’ll get over it.”
“I don’t want you to get over it alone. I’m your husband, you can lean on me ya know? You don’t have to always carry the world on your shoulders.”
You shrugged. “I don’t know how to do it any other way. This is all that I know.”
“Would you have called and told me how hard your week was, if I hadn’t come home?”
You let your eyes drop away from his, and that was really the only answer that he needed.
“You know I don’t like bothering you when you’re on the road.”
He sighed. “Babe, we’ve gotta find another way to deal with things.”
“Well that’s real easy to say when you’re a hundred miles away, Shawn!”
Your shoulders tensed up, and the easy, floating feeling from earlier disappeared as you got angry at yourself and at Shawn and at the world. Everything that you’d been keeping in came bubbling to the surface, and you couldn’t bite your tongue anymore.
“You don’t know what it’s like. You’re out there doing what you love and working twenty five hours a day. And I’m here. I’m here living the life that you get to pick up and put down whenever you want. I go grocery shopping and people just stare at me like I’m some desperate housewife. My board of directors is ninety-five percent old, wrinkly, white men who either are staring at my ass or tits or whatever means they don’t have to listen to me talk about the work that I’m doing. And sometimes it’s really great, but other times it really fucking sucks. And you want me to just what...ask you to come home? Ask you to drop everything that you’re doing in LA or Brazil or Japan, just to fly back to Canada for me? I won’t! I won’t ask you to fucking do that Shawn, and you know it.”
You both stewed in silence for a minute, the only sound in the entire room being the bubbles slowly depuffing on the water’s surface. There was a tear that betrayed your being and slid angrily down your cheek. You reached up to wipe at it, thankful for the fact that you’d had the good grace to turn away from him. His fingers came up regardless to hold your hand, squeezing at the fingers just enough to bring you back into the moment, just enough to remind you that he was there when it mattered.
“You feel a little better now?”
You scoffed at him not dignifying it with a response. You hated yelling at Shawn, mostly because he very rarely yelled back. And arguing about his job always put a bitter taste in your mouth. You loved what he did for a living and never wanted to seem ungrateful for him getting to live his dream. But your heart rate had come down a little bit, and your shoulders didn’t hurt as bad proving that made a little of the steam had escaped. As if he was reading every thought you’d ever had his hands came to rest on your shoulders digging into the tense muscles with his firm, too big hands. You bit your lip to stifle a groan and he brought his mouth to your ear.
“If you called while I was in New York or Japan or even in Toronto; I’d come. Because you mean the world to me. That’s what married couples are supposed to do, right? Be there for each other? We’re just a little farther apart sometimes, but that doesn’t mean I won’t make my way back to you. It just means I might take longer to get here. But I want you to call when it gets on top of you. Because when it gets on top of me there’s no one I’d rather call than you. No one who makes me feel calmer, or more in control. I need you. And I just wanna give you that, too.”
Somewhere in his words another teardrop falls and you’re not sure if its from sadness or elation or comfort. But when he notices that you’re crying he pulls your lips to his and he presses his hand against your heart again. And the rhythm changes beneath his palm. And your heart seems to expand within your chest like it’s taking its own little breath. You can’t find it within yourself to do anything but be closer to him. And any anger or frustration completely goes away when he’s touching you like that.
“I think I need to get out of Toronto for a while.” You admit softly.
He nods resting his forehead against yours.
“You can come with me back to LA. I’ll set it up with Andrew, get us a separate hotel room. Can you get the time off?”
“Yea, I’ve got PTO out the ass. Also, I’m kind of the boss.”
He grinned because he’s a man and he’s your husband but he’s also most definitely still a child at heart.
“That’s kind of hot.”
You roll your eyes, serious moment destroyed.
“I’m getting out of this tub now.”
When you’re both in robes and the water has drained and he’s pressing you against the bathroom sink to get at your lips better, it does seem like things will get better somehow. Or maybe it’s just because he’s there, holding you that you’re able to forget. And you wonder what it will feel like when you’re apart again. But he’s picking you up and carrying you to bed before your mind has the time to worry.
He gives you a hoodie he must have worn on the plane and you pull it on way too excitedly. It shouldn’t matter, but having his smell on you makes you feel good and he knows it. You put on Harry Potter and he holds you in his arms playing with your hair the way that you like, whispering his favorite lines against your neck. Your legs are intertwined and his chest is bare and warm, all the more better to press yourself into. With the wine and the food and the bubble bath, your eyes start to droop and before you’re even aware of what’s happening you fall asleep
When you wake up the lights are off, and the only light in the room comes from the tv illuminating you in soft, blue glow. Shawn must have shifted you over because you catch him mid-movement as he’s pulling the blankets back over your body.
“I’m here.” He whispered wrapping his arm around your waist. “Sorry to wake you.”
You yawn rolling over and pushing your face back into his chest for warmth.
“It’s fine. Sorry to fall asleep.”
“It’s okay. You’ve been through a lot lately. You need rest.”
You rolled your eyes. “I’ve been a little stressed out, not on my deathbed.”
“Will you stop being so stubborn, woman. Let me take care of you.” He huffed.
“Be careful. I might get used to it.” You warned him.
He threaded his fingers into your hair and kissed your forehead as you both settled in for the night.
“Baby, that’s all I’ve ever wanted.”

♡ Domestic!Au ♡ Husband!Namjoon x Reader ♡ !! WARNING !! Mention of miscarriage, depression, Fluff, Angst, Light smut. ♡ Words: 5.1K
a/n: *Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, nurse, midwife or anything. This was based on my own knowledge (I gave birth twice.) and of course, Google. I literally cried while writing the miscarriage scene. I have no intention of offending women who went through a mc. For those who experienced it recently or 10, 20, or even 30 years ago, I am so sorry for your loss. I will hold a special spot in my heart for you and your child. I am a mere stranger to you but I want you to know that there's a rainbow always after the rain.  🌈
“You’re not going to go through this alone,  I’m with you all the way.”
You were huddled up in thick blankets on the living room couch watching Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok with your loving husband, Namjoon. Too immersed in the comedic yet action-packed plot, you did not feel your husband's hand slither its way down to the apex of your thigh. "Babe..." You whined, wiggling your thigh, trying to shake off his venturing hand. "I'm trying to watch here." You said, completely unamused. He chuckled and retorted "But we've watched this movie THREE times now." With a heavy emphasis on the three. Giggles were the only thing you replied, waving your hands in his face trying to dismiss his logical argument. He snickered at your response and rested his head on your lap, looking up at you and admiring the view. He genuinely felt happy that he gets to spend his entire life with you, for better or for worst. There was only one thing he thought was missing. "Y/N..." He hummed your name sweetly, his voice low and smooth, and it felt like feathers titillating your eardrums. "Yes, love?" You hummed back while brushing your fingers through his silver tinted hair, eyes still focused on the television.  "Maybe..." He paused. Namjoon nervously swallowed a lump in his throat and carried on with what he was saying, “I think we could try again, Y/N. It's been 8 months." Your husband firmly stated, washing off any trace of hesitancy.
It took you a while to process what he was suggesting when it did sink in, the playfulness of your voice dissipated. Your face stone hard and a frown was embossed on your lips. With eyes cold as ice, you stared him down like he murdered someone. You stood up abruptly, causing his head to hit the seat cushion. "Ouch." He hissed. "Good thing its soft and we weren't lying on the floor." going over the back of his head with his fingers. You marched straight up to your shared bedroom and shut the door as loudly as you could. SLAM!
"Aish.." Namjoon sighed, pulling himself up and trailed over to where you headed. "Y/N." He knocked on the wood door twice but to no avail. "Love." He called you again, this time by your term of endearment for each other. You know you can't resist when he calls you that. The way the word escapes his lips, like a hot knife gliding through cold butter. Yes, it’s that smooth. When Namjoon heard the sound of the lock clicking, he slowly held the doorknob and nudged it open. “Y/N...” He whispered, inching closer to the side of the bed where you were seated. “Are you okay?” he inquired, rubbing circles on your back trying to soothe you. “I’m sorry...” you apologized, feeling guilty at your sudden outburst. It wasn’t his fault, and he definitely did not deserve that. You clasped his hand, lightly tugging at it, encouraging him to sit down beside you. He precisely did what you asked, wrapping his arms around you. You felt the warm, comforting heat radiate from his body.
“It’s not your fault, love...” He replied, voice gentle and soft. “Sorry for being insensitive.” He settled his hand on your face, thumb caressing the apple of your cheek. “Sorry if it seemed like I was rushing you.” Namjoon leaned closer to you and placed a kiss chaste kiss on your forehead. [Past] Rewind to the day you found out that you were carrying a little angel in your womb. "Love!" You shouted from the bathroom, your voice was quivering from excitement. Namjoon thought there was something wrong or that you were in trouble, he barged right through the door and exclaimed "Y/N! What's wrong?!” Tears were welling up in your eyes. You held up the at home pregnancy test kit in your hand, two solid red lines showed. After years and years of trying to conceive, the exhausting days filled with mapping out your ovulation period, ingesting an unhealthy amount of supplement that promised to enhance your fertility, and going back and forth with your not-so-affordable OB-GYNE finally paid off. "We're pregnant?" Your thunderstruck of a husband gleefully asked. "We're pregnant!" You jumped into his arms, feeling his familiar embrace. "We're... We're pregnant." He sighed in positive disbelief, tightening his hold on you. "I can't believe it!" He whimpered as his face dived deeper in the crook of your neck, "Finally." You softly hummed. The excitement of knowing that you will become a mother tickled you inside, setting off tiny, little butterflies. The following day you went to the clinic to professionally confirm that you were indeed pregnant. Your doctor delightfully congratulated both of you and enlightened you with everything you needed to know for the next 9-10 months. You took note of everything she advised, from 'what to eat and what not to eat' to 'sleeping facing the left was suggested, because it provided better blood circulation for the child." (A/n: Fun fact, this is true. My doctor advised me to sleep on the left side with both of my pregnancies. ) You were ecstatic, you undeniably were.
The moment you and your husband walked out of the building, your mind was focused on one thing, one thing alone. You looked at Namjoon with sparkly eyes and chimed "Baby clothes, bottles, binkies, shoes, bouncer, toys---" You were interrupted by your dimpled husband "Calm down, love. Isn't too early to buy those?" He chuckled, to which you replied with a pout. "And we don't know our baby's gender yet." His argument was convincing, but your stubbornness was stronger. You crossed your arms in a child-like manner, again pouting your lips into a c-shape while you stomp your feet. Indeed, like a 5-year old who was not allowed to use her tablet because screen time was over. "Come on, Y/N..." Namjoon stated, his hand was on your shoulders, trying to overpower you rebellious stance. "No." You huffed, cheeks puffed out. "Yah. You know you're absolutely gonna be the death of me, Y/N." He worded jokingly, raising his hands up in defeat "Fine." Your eyes grew 10 times wider at his surrender. "We can get a few things--," You yelled in excitement, cutting him off. "On one condition..." He continued, your grin turned upside down. "We will only get essential things." You face was like a clock, changing its direction every second. "Deal!" You joyfully replied, hooking arms with him. - "Look at this, love!" You exclaimed at amazement, pointing at the compact stroller that magically folds into a cube no more than 20 inches in height and width. Namjoon coiled his arm around your waist and kissed the top of your head. You reached the clothing section for 3 months and below. With wandering eyes, you gazed at all the lovely clothes stacked against one another, row after row, and aisle after aisle. They were just as adorable as you expected them to be. Varying from the palest shade of pink to the deepest shade of blue. Onesies, jumpers, sweaters, hats with fluffy cat ears on top, you name it. "Only what's necessary." Namjoon prompted you with a smile on his face, seeing you happy made him happy. "Yes, sir!" You replied. Your husband does have a point; it really was too early for this. You were just excited at the whole ordeal, and you were thankful that your husband was very kind, loving and understanding enough to let you do what you want. "These!" You plucked the 6-set whites onesies from the display hook. "And these, too!" A cute 3-piece pyjama set littered with doodles of cats, dogs and rabbits accordingly. You tossed them in the basket that was held by your husband. He walked behind you, following every twist and turn you took. Humming a song as he observed you with love-struck eyes. You, the love of his life, is now bearing his child. A family, he thought to himself, together the three of you will become a family. After getting what you needed, you hurriedly hauled your husband to the counter to pay for everything you bought. You got to the car and sat in the passenger seat, holding the bag of baby stuff. "You happy?" Namjoon smiled, his free hand resting on your thigh. "Very!" You lovingly replied, clutching on the bag. The first three months were hell, the doctor told you that this period is where your body will start to feel the surge of hormones. Some women feel nothing at all, while others experience nausea, vomiting, fatigue, cravings, smell sensitivity, and many, many more unpleasant thing. Unfortunately, you represent the latter.
You wouldn't survive it if it wasn't for you very supportive husband. He'd remind you when it was time to take your prenatal pills, cook you a full balanced meal, sing you lullabies when you had trouble sleeping, massage your back, legs and feet whenever you feel them ache, and run to the 24-hour convenience store when you want to eat weird combination of food like chocolate covered sausage. He was heaven sent, you looked at him with luminous eyes while he cradled your growing bump in his arms, kissing it more than a hundred times. What have you done in your past life to deserve a man like him? He was an amazing husband, and he will be an amazing father too. "We got a monthly check up tomorrow right?" You asked your husband at you scanned your phone's calendar. "Yes..." He hummed as he placed another kiss on your tummy. "I'm excited to see how much our little one has grown." You smiled. Namjoon crawled beside you, spooning you in. "Sleep, love. It's harmful to stay up late." He stated. You closed your eyes and felt your body drift into dreamland. Tomorrow comes, you were seated at the waiting area with your husband, waiting for your names to be called. "Mr. and Mrs. Kim?" The nurse at the reception desk stated, she smiled and added: "Mrs. Park is ready to see you now." You bowed and entered the room, greeting the familiar face of the doctor you've been seeing for almost 3 years. "How are you feeling, darling?" Your sweet doctor inquired as she gestured for your maternity booklet. "Have you eaten well and are you getting enough sleep?" You nod, while she scanned your previous record. "By the look of it, you're 16 weeks in today, congratulations again." She grinned from ear to ear. Happy to see that the Kims, one of her favorite couple has come a long way. She rose from her seat and guided you over to her examination table, helping you lie down. "Let's see how much the baby has grown." She clapped, reaching for her handy dandy tape measure and measured your bump. "Good, good. This is an appropriate size for a 16th week gestational age." You smiled and looked over your to your right, you husband giving you the thumbs up. "Next, we'll count the baby's heartbeat." She opened the drawer next to the examination table and pulled her Doppler foetal monitor. She uncapped the tube of Aquasonic 100 Ultrasound gel and spread it on the tip of the gadget. You jolt at the sudden coldness you felt. "Okay, stay still mommy. Let's find your angel's heartbeat.
Your doctor furrowed her brows after 6 minutes of searching for your little one's thumping heart. "That's odd." She obscurely said. The look of worry both flooded you and Namjoon's faces. "Is something wrong, Mrs. Park?" Your husband, who was presently standing to your right, impatiently asked while clasping your hand. "I'm having a hard time locating it." She answered, "It is possible your baby's in a very snug position, that might be the reason why my Doppler can get a hold of his/her heartbeat." You exhaled a profound sigh of relief, looking at each other with weary eyes. "It's going to be alright, love," Namjoon assured you, kissing your knuckles. "I'll ask my assistant to prepare the ultrasound room for us. We require a more powerful machine so we will use big Al, that's what we call him here." She smiled. "Please wait a moment Mr. and Mrs. Kim." She then left the room. "Everything's gonna be alright, I promise." Your husband assured you once more, as he felt your hands tremble in fear. "I hope so..." You sighed. You were finally in the ultrasound room, Big Al stood before you. "Okay. This will do the job." Mrs. Park affirmed, "Please." She gestured to the examination table, this time it was a bigger one. "With this, we will be able to locate it 10 times faster." You breathe in and out to release the tension in your body. The sonographer gave Mrs. Park the go signal, she slid the now mightier machine on your stomach again for a solid 3 minutes. You crossed your fingers and hoped for the best, anticipating only positive things. You train of thought was then cut short by the sonographer. "Mrs. Park, for a while." The young lady called to the elder woman. You and Namjoon's eyes were stuck on the both of them. She then muttered something into her ear, causing her happy demeanor to melt into a gloomy one. She cleared her throat and stood firm and professional. "Mrs. Kim." Her voice was laced with sadness, and you felt your own heart rate shoot up a hundred times. "I'm sorry." She outstretched her hand to hold yours, squeezing it tightly. Your mind went dull. "What?" You asked, utterly terrified at what she was about to say next. "The baby doesn’t have a heartbeat." You felt your heart shatter into a million pieces inside your chest, piercing you lungs making you unable to breathe properly. "What?!" Your husband yelled furiously, Mrs. Park was trying to calm him down. It felt like a gun was aimed at your head, and reality pulled the trigger. Big, heavy tears instantaneously fell from your eyes without a warning. You felt the ground swallow you whole. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? WHY?!
You suddenly burst into a desperate cry. You hopped off the table and fell to the ground with a loud thud; Namjoon rushed over and held you in his arms. The pain from the fall was no way near the pain you felt at the moment. Hearing the news with your own two ears felt like a death sentence. "Why?!" You screamed at the top of your lungs. "W-w-?!" sobbing endlessly. Words were not enough to express all the emotions stirring up inside you. If felt painful; it felt horrible; it felt terrifying; it felt excruciatingly unbearable; it felt like you no longer had a reason to live; it felt like all the sense in your mind, and your body was stripped off with just one sentence. "Why?! I did everything right!" You bawled, using your husband as a punching bag. "Why?! Why did it turn out like this?!" Your screams grew harsher that other nurses fled to the room to determine what all the commotion was about. You looked at Mrs. Park and wept "Why?" She bowed her and went down to your level. "I'm extremely sorry, Y/N." Her eyes filled with guilt as she failed you, in the sense that it was her responsibility to take care of the mother and child during the miraculous process of conceiving up to delivering. She did not see your future, and the future of your child turn out this way. "I'm sorry." She truly was. You and your husband were escorted to a private room, where you could take a rest. Your eyes were still bloodshot, red and swollen. You were shivering uncontrollably from head to toe. You were not in the right state for a conversation at the moment, so Namjoom was the one who discussed with Mrs. Park about the next step. Namjoon calmly explained to you that they scheduled you for a labor induction a week from now. Mrs. Park said it would be better to give you time to adjust, time to accept the reality as it is. There was nothing you or he could do to prevent it. Miscarriages happen, even to the healthiest of women. You headed home later that day, you haven't said a single word. It pained your husband to see you like this so he decided to take a whole month off of work, he was fortunate that his boss was kind enough to. He allotted his time to take care of you, making sure you knew you were loved, even at your darkest moments. The cursed day came, and you we're nothing but scared. Your husband looked at you with hopeful eyes "You're not going to go through this alone. I'm with you all the way." He assured you, giving you one last kissed before they wheeled you to the delivery room. "I love you." He voiced out enough for you to hear.
After two gruelling hours that felt like forever, you were able to deliver your child. He was beautiful, absolutely beautiful. You held him in your arms. He was tiny and fragile, no less than 5 inches long. You looked at his face; he's got Namjoon's eyes and your nose. You gently touch his little feet; you were in complete awe at his cute toenails. "Look, love." You hummed to your husband who carried the same face as yours. "Beautiful." He smiled through his faltering voice, "Our baby is beautiful." You looked at you husband and said "Byeol." You smiled faintly, "Let's name him Kim Byeol." He merely nodded "I think that's a lovely name." You tried holding back the tears, for these were moments that needed to be cherished. A mother and child moment that can never be replaced. You were celebrating the birth of your child, your beautiful child. He might not be here physically, but spiritually he is. He was in your heart, in your mind, and in your soul. And he always will be. He was a part of you that can never be taken away. You loved him the day he was created, you love him the day he was taken, and you’ll love him until your last breath. "Byeol." So that every time the sun goes down and the moon takes over its throne, you know he's there. Watching over you while you sleep and dream about him. There may come certain times when the skies are cloudy or filled with rain, he will hide. For just like you, he is terrified. Once the storm calms and there's no more need to be scared, he will show himself. He will show you and teach you that the darker the sky, the brighter your little star will shine. It was time to say goodbye. You were not ready, you were not ready to say goodbye yet. You knew he could not stay with you forever, but when they took him from you, you felt empty. Your life felt empty. It's like a huge shadow was cast over you, engulfing you in darkness. 'No, please.' You whispered to yourself as they took your baby away. You feel asleep almost immediately, your body was tired, of course. You needed to rest, your mind and your body needed to rest. You woke up to the next day. Your husband happily prepared breakfast for you, his eyes were still red and swollen from all the crying he did last night. You were silent; you were confused; you were lost. He was worried you didn't want to eat anything, but he still pushed it upon himself to get you to eat something even if it's a small piece of bread and a glass of water. Once your meal was finished, he handed you a white frame. Two little footprints in the middle of the page, the name "Byeol Kim" written in beautiful calligraphy just above it, and below it, the words "Forever in my heart" pulled a heart string. Each corner was decorated in white lace with intricate design, a pair of angel wings at each side. "A gift." He interjected. "From the hospital." You were still silent, but he knew deep down in your heart that the simple gift meant the world to you. After your induction, she advised you to stay at home, take all the rest you need, eat healthily and take care of yourself. She wished you a speedy recovery.
The car drive home was quiet. No words, no tears, no nothing. He watched as you aimlessly walk around the house, clutching onto your stomach, mumbling incoherent words. He did not mind he had to feed you, bathe you, clothe you, and brush your hair. He didn't mind any of those things because this was the way he could help your recovery. He loved you, and he wanted to do everything in his power to help you get back up on your feet, even if it's one day at a time. Namjoon woke up with the sound of your cries. He ran to where the sound came from and discovered you on the floor in tears, holding on the clothes that you bought not so long ago. "Byeol..." You sobbed, looking at the baby clothes. "My Byeol.." Striking your hands on the floor. "My baby's gone." You mourned endlessly. "What's the point of living if my baby didn't get to experience it?" The sound of your broken cries echoed inside the entire house. Namjoon picked you, bridal style and carried you to your room. "Hush now, love." He sang, rocking you in his arms. "Byeol's not gone." Namjoon squeezed your hand and placed it against your chest, just above your heart. "He's here." Then he transferred it to his "And here, too." He smiled, "As long as we're here, he will be here, too." His voice was like a lullaby that alleviated your pain. You thought you were alone, that there was nobody that could understand your pain. You carried that child. You carried that burden. You felt sad you forgot about the other most important person in your life, Namjoon. You harmoniously pranced with him through the better, now, you're defying all odds through the worse. Your previous flare-ups with your husband were nothing compared to this, this was a level beyond any other level. You were grateful, extremely. You fell in love with the man who's willing to move mountains for you, search high and low just to make you happy. He would gladly surrender his life in exchange for yours to be spared, eternally, you were grateful.
[Present]
You ran your fingers through his locks, looking intensely at his black orbs. "I love you." He leaned in closer and captured you with a kiss. His hands traveled to the hem of your shirt, lifting it in one fell swoop, you giggled in surprise. Namjoon pushed you further to the bed with hungry kisses, his instincts kicked in when he plopped you, back flat on the mattress. He looked at your shirtless figure below him, and he bit his lip and said: "You’re fucking beautiful." And continued with the interrupted kiss. It felt like a lifetime; it really did. You were so frightened of another heartbreak and going through the same experience again that you cut off all sexual involvement besides kissing and cuddling for 8 months. You were amazed at your husband's strong will but felt bad, too. Because you were blocking something that comes so natural between two people that love each other. He understood where you coming from, of course. There were just times that his naughty little hands found it's under your shirt or inside your panties, it was cute but still. You weren't ready then. You are now. "Oh my god." You hummed. You missed the way his breath felt your neck while he was kissing you there; you missed the way your hands clung onto his shoulders, your digits digging in to his skin; you miss the way your back would arch every time he would suck on your supple flesh, drawing out purple bruise; you simple miss him. "Is... Is this okay?" He broke the kiss, making sure you wanted this as much as he did. "Yes." You mused, shimmying your shorts and panties down. Your action caused his pupils to dilate, breath heavy. "I love you, Namjoon." "I love you too, Y/N." His mouth inched closer to your perked nubs, his warm breath fanning over your skin as he sucked more marks, sending your senses into overdrive. "Uggh-" You moaned, hands curling into a fist. "You enjoying yourself?" He chuckled lowly, taking in your nipple in his mouth which earned another loud moan from you. He sucked on it, tweaking it between his teeth. "Don't... Stop..." You whined. His hands came up and cupped both of your breasts, kneading it with his huge palm and long fingers. Your body once again contorted into an arch, as the bolt of electricity ran through your entire boy. You hustled him away, for a second there he thought you wanted to back out, but to his surprise, you grabbed his shirt and plucked it over his body. "I like seeing you naked." You huffed, scanning his entire figure. He then untied the lace of his sweatpants and pulled it down to his knees before kicking it off. "Me, too." He boasted his hard 7-inch member meeting you tip to eye. His head was glossy due to the beads of pre-cum coming out of its narrow slit. "Wow." You mouthed, eyes still affixed on his dick. "What can I say, it missed you, a lot." He joked while pumping himself. "Want me to stretch you out first? It's been so long." He suggested. You shyly nod and wait for him to descend to you soaked womanhood. "I guess someone misses it, too." He growled, his face mere centimetres away from your core. "You smell as amazing as the day I ate you out for the first time." He groaned through close nit teeth, wanting to eat you whole. "F-fuck!" You whipped when he licked a stripe over you juice stained core. "You're so wet for me, Y/N," He pridefully stated. "And only for me." He was ravenous, like a carnivore that hasn't had a meal in days chomping down on its prey. Boy, he ate you the right way. He managed to pull himself off of your inviting pussy because of the need to fuck you was taking over his body. "Is that okay? You're pretty lubed up now." He gave you a certain glance that could only refer to one thing. You spread your legs, coaxing him to dive right in. Right away, his body hovered over yours, he lined himself next to your dripping core. "Tell me if it hurts, Okay?" He said before gradually pushing the tip of his cock. He went in nice and steady, "God, I forgot you were so fucking tight." He pushed in further, you pussy was swallowing his member inch by inch. Your walls were clenching around his shaft. You yelped at the delicious stretch, his pulsating dick in filling you up so good. The sound of your wanton moans reverberated in his ears making him pulled away and then snap his back into you so fucking hard. "Namjoon-ah!" You screamed as he thrashed you onto the mattress. You grabbed a fistful of his locks; you tuck your butt in and raised your pelvis a bit higher, giving him a better angle to penetrate you. "Shit." His voice was cracked, breathing heavy. "I think I'm about to come... " He whined, quickening his pace. "Cum with me, Y/N." With his words, your velvet walls hugged his hard member perfectly, his thrust we sloppy, an indication of him approaching his climax. "Fuuuuck!" He groaned out loud when he spilled his seed inside of your warm hole. "Fuck indeed." You playfully hummed while he rode out both of your highs. He managed to squeeze in one last push before his member turned flaccid. His body dropped on your own. "You're heavy..." You grumbled, his sweat mixed with yours "Sweaty, too! Ewww!" You joked. Namjoon looked at you and said "Shower?" with a big grin on his face. "Yes please!"
Five weeks have passed, and you were 4 days late for your period. You had been experiencing sudden mood swings and cravings the past week, your breast felt more tender than the usual and morning sickness plague you every single day. You searched for your spare Pregnancy test kit in your medicine cabinet. You peed on the stick, thinking nothing of it, not expecting anything. "Positive" You uttered, speechless at the sight of two red lines. "It's positive." You lowered your voice, hoping your husband didn't hear you. You wanted to surprise him and what great timing you thought, his birthday was just right around the corner. You stuffed the test in your pocket and ran upstairs. Rummaging through your closet, you found the box of your engagement ring. You pulled out all of the foam contents, making sure the small test would fit inside. "Yes!" It was a perfect fit. You couldn't wait for six more, so you had to tell him now. "Love??" You yelled. "Come up here for a second. I need to show you something." "In a minute!" He was hanging the clothes you had finished washing together. "What is it?" He stepped into the room and was greeted by you with a mischievous grin on your face. "Okay..." He cautiously shut the door behind him and continued "What are you up to?" He asked with a doubtful tone in his voice. "You birthday's coming up, and I got you an early gift!" You cheerfully stated. "You know you didn't have to." He tucked the strand of hair behind your ear. "You're already the best gift I received." Placing a gentle kiss on your lips. Your grin grew wider as you said: "I found something better!" You handed him the small box, and he looked confused. "Your? Ring?" He chuckled at your antics. "Open it, c'mon!" The moment he opens the box and laid eyes on whatever was inside, no words were spoken, he hugged you so tight, oh so very tight and said "Okay. This is probably the best birthday gift anybody has ever given me." Fast forward to a year and a half later with you sitting on the living room floor. Same old house, same old car, same old couch, but... Something was different... You were thankful your prayers had been answered as you heard the pitter-patter of little footsteps on the hardwood floor. End.

LG OLED CX TV review: The picture against which all other TVs are measured
Tumblr media
By this point there’s no question whether OLED-based TVs have the best picture quality available: they do. In my opinion they’re definitely worth the extra money compared to other high-end TVs. The only question that matters is, if you can afford an OLED TV, which one should you buy? LG is the OLED leader and its 2020 CX series achieves as impressive a picture as any TV I’ve ever tested, but right now it’s not the best answer to that question.
Like
Better picture quality than any non-OLED TV.
Superior contrast and off-angle image.
Slim design and packed with features.
Don’t Like
Expensive.
Not appreciably better than cheaper 2019 models.
After reviewing the CX, the TV that I recommend most OLED shoppers buy instead is the LG B9 from 2019. I compared the two LG OLEDs side-by-side in my spanking new basement TV lab, and it was really tough to tell the difference between them in picture quality. My measurements sussed out some slight variations, and watching some low-quality material gave a vanishingly small edge to the CX, perhaps because of its improved processing.
But that’s tiny potatoes compared to the huge price difference between the two right now — $600 to $800 for the 65-inch size, depending on where you shop. The price gap will shrink as the CX gets discounted and the B9 sells out later this year, but even then another TV will remain less expensive and likely a better value as well: the 2020 BX series. Look for CNET’s review of that TV soon.
My other comparison TV was the TCL 8-Series, which has the best picture quality of any non-OLED TV I’ve recently reviewed. It’s a superb performer and brighter then either OLED, but both the B9 and CX beat it for overall picture quality. Every OLED TV I’ve ever reviewed exhibits the true black levels, infinite contrast and near-perfect off-angle performance that makes images come to life like no other TV technology you can buy.

Get to know the LG CX series
It’s pronounced “C-10” because LG wants to be like Apple I guess.
It comes in 48-, 55-, 65- and 77-inch sizes. The 48-inch model is new for 2020.
As usual for OLED TVs, the 77-inch model is proportionally more expensive, at nearly twice the price of the 65-incher. Competing 75-inch LCD-based TVs are much more affordable.
The 2020 CX adds a few extras that the B9 is missing, namely an improved image processor, compatibility with AMD FreeSync and a new Filmmaker picture mode. Otherwise they’re basically the same.
The only differences I noted between the B9 and CX are slightly different stand designs and LG’s processing. As I mentioned above, I don’t think the CX’s slight image quality advantage is worth the price difference.
OLED display technology is fundamentally different from the LED LCD technology used in the vast majority of today’s TVs, including Samsung’s QLED models.
The best LCD TVs I’ve reviewed so far, like the TCL 8-Series and Vizio P-Series Quantum X, scored a “9” in image quality. At times they were brighter in HDR than the OLEDs, but otherwise the OLEDs’ images were superior in almost every way.
All OLED TVs are more subject to both temporary and permanent image retention, aka burn-in, than LCD TVs. We at CNET don’t consider burn-in a reason for most people to avoid buying an OLED TV, however. Check out our guide to OLED burn-in for more.
Not much has changed with LG’s design. The panel on the B9, the CX and other recent OLED sets is still vanishingly thin when seen from the side, about a quarter-inch deep, with a chunkier section at the bottom that juts out another 1.75 inches. That section houses the inputs, power supply, speakers and other depth-eating TV components.
From the front it’s pure TV minimalism. There’s less than a half-inch of black frame around the top and sides of the picture itself. Then there’s a bit more below, but no trace of silver, no “LG” or any other logo at all.
The CX’s stand is very similar to the C9’s, its angled edges and medium width across the bottom of the screen. It’s more heavily weighted than the B9 on the rear to (I presume) better resist tipping forward. That said, I’ve never had any fear of the B9 tipping forward, and I always recommend using a TV safety strap if you have kids.

Solid app and voice support
LG’s webOS menu system is also basically unchanged from last year. It still lacks the innovative extras and app-based setup of Samsung’s Tizen system and falls well short of the app coverage of Roku TV or Sony’s Android TV. If you want more apps, your best bet is to get an external streamer, although only a handful, including the Apple TV 4K, Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K and Nvidia Shield can support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Meanwhile LG’s apps for Netflix, Amazon, Disney Plus and Vudu all support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, while Apple TV app supports Vision but not Atmos. Using the TV’s built-in apps gets you the highest-quality video and audio from those services, no external streamer required.
The remote tracks the motion of your hand to whip quickly around the screen, something that’s particularly helpful when signing into apps or searching using an onscreen keyboard. The scroll wheel is also great for moving through apps, like those seemingly infinite thumbnail rows on Netflix and Amazon.

LG’s TVs are still the only devices that let you use both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The main mic button invokes Google Assistant while a long-press of the Amazon button gets you Alexa. Both can do all the usual Assistant stuff, including control smart home devices, answer questions and respond via a voice coming out of the TV’s speakers (yep, both voices). Basics like “What’s the weather?” works as you’d expect from either assistant, complete with onscreen feedback.
The CX also works with Apple’s AirPlay 2 system, just like many other TVs including 2019 models like the B9. I was able to fire up my iPhone to share photos and video to the screen from the Photos app as well as mirror my Mac and phone screens. The LG also has the Apple TV app, of course.
Key features
Display technology OLED LED backlight N/A Resolution 4K HDR compatible HDR10 and Dolby Vision Smart TV webOS Remote Motion
The feature-packed CX includes just about everything that matters in a modern TV. LG says the new A9 Gen 3 chip — included on the CX but not on the B9 or BX — has improved deep learning chops and “AI picture Pro” enhancements. I didn’t notice any major benefits from the processor in my testing.
New for 2020 is the Filmmaker Mode, which takes the place of the Technicolor Expert modes of years past. As promised it turns off the Soap Opera Effect for film-based content (yay) but so do many other modes in the CX, including Cinema, ISF and Dolby Vision itself (yes, this TV has a LOT of picture modes). While plenty-accurate it’s also relatively dim so I ended up using Cinema and ISF Bright for most critical viewing.
All of LG’s 2019 and 2020 OLED models include the latest version of the HDMI standard: 2.1. That means their HDMI ports can handle 4K at 120fps, support enhanced audio return channel (eARC) as well as two gamer-friendly extras: variable refresh rate (VRR) and automatic low latency mode (ALLM, or auto game mode). Check out HDMI 2.1: What you need to know for details. I didn’t test any of these features yet for this review.
Speaking of VRR, the B9 and CX also support the Nvidia G-Sync standard. One difference between the two, however, is that only 2020 models like the CX will also support AMD FreeSync.
Bear with me, normal readers, because there is one ultra-technical downgrade on the CX compared to the 2019 C9. As reported by Forbes, the new model’s HDMI ports support 4K at 120fps up to 40Gbps (10 bits), while last year they went up to the full 48Gbps (12 bits). In a statement, LG told CNET that “the market situation evolution indicated that real content that requires 48Gbps is not available in the market.” The only devices that might look better at 12-bit compared to 10-bit are next-generation consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One Series X, but I’d be surprised if it makes a big difference.

The selection of connections is otherwise top-notch. Unlike many of Samsung’s sets, this one actually has an analog video input for legacy (non-HDMI) devices, although it no longer supports analog component video. There’s also a dedicated headphone/analog audio output.

Picture quality comparisons

Normally I’m able to compare a TV against four or five others side-by-side, but during coronavirus lockdown the size of my basement — and limited access to comparison TVs — reduced that number to two. Happily they were two of the best TVs of 2019, the B9 OLED and the TCL 8-Series. As I mentioned above the CX and B9 were basically tied, with image quality that deserves a score of 10/10, while the TCL fell a bit short of both.
Click the image at the right to see the picture settings used in the review and to read more about how this TV’s picture controls worked during calibration.
Dim lighting: Lined up in my darkened basement TV lab, the CX immediately distinguished itself from the LCD-based TCL but not so much from its sister LG OLED. Between the two OLED TVs I didn’t spot any major differences.
Watching the 1080p Blu-ray of Parasite, the trademark perfect black levels and superior contrast of OLED were an upgrade in punch and realism. Every scene benefited, but as usual the darker ones showed the largest differences. As the Parks discuss the transgressions of their chauffeur in Chapter 4, for example, colors of their faces, clothes and the surrounding kitchen looked, well, richer and more realistic. In extremely dark scenes like Park Dong-ik’s ride in the back of the car, the difference was even more evident in a side-by-side comparison.
Shadow detail was excellent on the CX and overall dark areas still looked significantly more realistic than with the TCL. Pro tip: In my recommended picture mode, Cinema, bump up Brightness from 50 to 52 to reclaim those shadows while still preserving perfect black levels.
Bright lighting: No major changes here: The CX was as bright as previous LG OLEDs and significantly dimmer than high-end LCDs.
Light output in nits
TV Brightest (SDR) Accurate color (SDR) Brightest (HDR) Accurate color (HDR) Vizio PX65-G1 1,990 1,120 2,908 2,106 TCL 65Q825 1,653 904 1,818 982 Samsung QN65Q80R 1,443 832 1,494 1,143 TCL 65R625 653 578 881 813 LG OLED65C9 (2019) 451 339 851 762 LG OLED65CX (2020) 377 290 690 634 LG OLED65B9 (2019) 374 283 628 558
LG OLEDs from 2019 and 2020 have a setting called Peak Brightness that boosts the light output for SDR sources in Cinema and Expert modes. The idea is to increase contrast for brighter viewing environments while maintaining the superior color accuracy of those modes. As with most TVs, the brightest mode for HDR and SDR (Vivid on the CX) is horribly inaccurate. For the accurate color columns above I used ISF Expert Bright (Peak Brightness: High) for SDR and Filmmaker mode for HDR — I recommend CX owners do the same to get good color in bright rooms.
Overall, the OLED sets are still plenty bright enough for just about any viewing environment. Yes, they do get quite a bit dimmer than the LCDs when showing full-screen white — a hockey game, for example — but even in those situations they’re hardly dim.
The CX and B9 preserved black levels and reduced reflections very well — better than the TCL. I didn’t compare a Samsung directly for this review but in the past that brand’s high-end models have delivered the best bright-room performance overall.
Color accuracy: Before my standard calibration, the ISF Expert, Cinema and Filmmaker modes were already super accurate, among the best I’ve seen, and afterward the CX was as accurate as I’d expect. As usual, OLED’s superior black levels also improved the perception of color saturation compared to the LCD other displays. Bright colors like the fruit on the Parks’ countertop or the green of their backyard in Chapter 11 were lush and vibrant, while skin tones like the face of Mrs. Park remained true. I also appreciated that, unlike many LCDs including the TCL in this comparison, the CX didn’t introduce a blue tinge to near-black areas.
Video processing: Watching the Parasite Blu-ray it was difficult to see any processing advantages of the CX over the B9, perhaps because it’s a very high-quality source to begin with. Looking for evidence of the CX’s fancy new chip in action, I tried an old favorite: Game of Thrones’ The Long Night episode on HBO Max, streaming from an Apple TV 4K (set to 1080p SDR to match the native stream).
The opening setup of the army awaiting the coming of the white walkers was rife with blockiness, banding and other compression issues, as well as basic video noise. But the CX didn’t clean it up much better than the B9. There was slightly less banding on the CX during a pan over Winterfell (5:19), for example, and less near-black noise in the sky during the Dothraki charge (12:51) and when the solitary horse returns (13:47), but I had to look hard to spot the improvement. And sometimes the B9 looked better; for example it showed less noise than the CX in the black sky around Sir Davos’ face (7:13). I’ll give the slight edge to the CX, but it’s really subtle.
With the Real Cinema setting turned on, the CX passed my go-to 1080p/24 film cadence test from I Am Legend in Off, Cinema Clear and User (0-4 for De-Judder and 10 for De-Blur) TruMotion position. The latter two also delivered the TV’s maximum motion resolution (600 lines). For 2020 LG’s User De-Judder setting is better than last year, with more of a range for finicky cadence purists (we know who we are) to dial in the right amount of smoothness; anything 4 or lower introduced some judder to my eye, conveying a sense of film rather than soap opera effect. Clear on the other hand is toward the smoother side, albeit still tolerable. Personally I prefer User: De-Judder 0 but it’s great that there’s more good options than ever.

There’s also a setting labeled OLED Motion Pro, available only in the User section of the TruMotion menu. In previous years it was a simple toggle that introduced black frame insertion to improve motion resolution but with the usual tradeoffs of a dimmer image and visible flicker. This year it has four settings, Low, Medium, High and Auto, with progressively better motion resolution, High tops out at the maximum 1,200 lines in my test but was quite dim and flickery. Medium was the best overall, measuring slightly less at 1080 lines but with nearly the same light output as Off and no flicker. The CX is the first OLED TV I’ve tested that can match LCD TVs with true 120Hz refresh rates, such as the TCL 8 series or the Samsung Q70, for motion resolution.
The problem? Engaging any OLED Motion Pro setting aside from Off crushed shadow detail and made the image look too dark. My advice is to avoid using this setting unless you calibrate the image specifically for it — or you hate blur so much that you’re willing to sacrifice being able to see dark areas clearly.
Gaming input lag is similar to last year, which is to say superb. The CX showed 13.7 and 13.8 milliseconds in game mode for 1080p and 4K HDR sources, respectively. That’s shy of the C9 by mere tenths of a millisecond. If you can tell the difference, hats off to you.
Uniformity: Like all recent OLED sets, the CX was extremely uniform in brightness and color, with no visible variations across the screen. In comparison the LCD-based TCL all showed slightly brighter and darker areas with full-field test patterns, although it didn’t have major issues. And as usual the two OLEDs were much better at maintaining fidelity from off-angle, when viewed from seats other than the sweet spot right in the middle of the screen. There were no differences in uniformity between the B9 and CX.

Parasite is a great movie that looks spectacular in 4K HDR.
CJ Entertainment
HDR and 4K video: The 4K Blu-ray of Parasite looked spectacular on all three high-end TVs, as expected, but the OLEDs had the advantage. The TCL beat them in brightness and highlight pop, however. In Chapter 3 when Kim Ki-woo rounds a corner of the house (13:13), the sun measured twice as bright — 1028 nits vs. 540 on both OLED TVs — and the difference was obvious to my eye.
Despite the extra brightness, however, the overall contrast and richness of the OLEDs’ image made the LCD look relatively flat by comparison in many scenes. In the criteria at 30:51, for example, there was just a bit more pop and color in the food and the flower wrappings. And despite its excellent local dimming the TCL still betrayed some brighter spots in dark areas, for example the shadows in the back of the car at 30:14.
Looking at the gorgeous nature footage from the Spears and Munsil HDR benchmark, the TCL’s higher brightness paid more dividends than the cinematic Parasite. In my side-by-side lineup the LCD’s brighter skies, snow and other daylit scenes were more powerful, especially when most of the screen was very bright — the desert sand, and plants at 5:20 was a good example. The OLEDs didn’t look dim by any means but the TCL was better in those bright scenes. In more mixed and darker scenes, on the other hand, the OLEDs superior contrast again won out.
Keeping with the nature theme, I switched my Apple TV back to 4K HDR mode and checked out the amazing-looking Our Planet: Coastal Seas on Netflix. From the brilliant colors of the reef to the dark recesses behind the swarms of sharks I saw the same themes: an overall edge to the OLED TVs despite the TCL’s brighter image. Netflix’s nature documentary didn’t show as much HDR punch and detail as the reference disc in general, and for that reason the TCL’s brilliance didn’t make as much of an impact. In some bright scenes like the splashing seals (20:34), highlights like the waves actually measured slightly brighter on the CX OLED, but in others like the sun through the kelp (21:03) the TCL was visibly brighter and measured as such (1440 vs. 660 nits).

From a great modern art scene to yummy home-grown food and home-brewed drinks, here are the best things to do in England.
England is enchanting, eccentric, endlessly fascinating and offers a variety of things to do. In England, dotted with natural marvels, lush National Parks and rural vistas that are begging to be front and centre on a postcard, you can explore the width and breadth of the tiny isle while discovering myths, legends and traditions, castles, ruins and landmarks with hidden histories. It’s the land of Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, The Beatles and an iconic Royal Family, but it’s not a country that is stuck in its past. Not forgetting London, the country’s vibrant, multicultural and thriving capital city, which has been leading the way for over two millennia. Discover all the best things the country has to offer with our guide to England.
1. Channel your inner druid at Stonehenge
This mystical stone circle in the Wiltshire countryside attracts hundreds of curious visitors a day (and an incredible 1.4 million in 2017). Made out of rare stone from 160 miles away, the construction has sat proudly on the Salisbury Plain for over 5,000 years and no one knows how it got there or what it was first used for. A solar calendar or a site for sacrifices? Go to come up with your own theories. You can visit at sunrise on the summer solstice for a totally mystical experience but it’s pretty special every day of the year.
2. Watch one of Shakespeare’s plays in his hometown
Shakespeare’s Globe on the South Bank in London is a pretty special spot to watch one of the Bard’s beloved plays, but there’s nowhere better than Will’s hometown in Warwickshire. Head to Stratford-upon-Avon to see a performance at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre on the river’s edge. Stick around to visit Shakespeare’s birthplace and the church where he was laid to rest before rowing along the river Avon in a boat named after one of the writer’s famous characters. Bagsy Ophelia.
3. Feast on fresh seafood in Whitstable
The pretty town of Whitstable in Kent is picture-perfect for a day by the seaside, with colourful painted houses, a wide pebble beach, cool shops and some great coastal art galleries. Whitstable is the place to indulge in seriously fresh fish ‘n’ chips and incredible seafood. Have a pint at The Old Neptune before heading to The Lobster Shack. As well as doing a nice line in the shellfish it’s named after, it serves stunning Whitstable oysters.
4. Stroll along the South Bank in London
There’s so much to see in central London it’s hard to know where to start. We’d recommend setting off from the gardens beneath the London Eye, with views of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, and walking east along the South Bank. You’ll pass brutalist beauties like the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall and Hayward Gallery and the National Theatre, a sprawling book market under Waterloo bridge and the OXO Tower. Keep going to wander past Shakespeare’s Globe and spy St Paul’s Cathedral across the Thames. Pop into the totally free, world-class art gallery Tate Modern before ending up in the culinary paradise that is Borough Market for a well deserved treat.
5. Follow in the footsteps of The Beatles
Take a magical mystery tour around the city of Liverpool in north-west England. It’s where the famous foursome first met. Step inside the National Trust-owned homes where John Lennon and Paul McCartney spent their childhoods. Head to The Beatles Story, the world’s largest permanent exhibition devoted to the musical icons and their history. Finish your trip with a visit to the rebuilt Cavern Club, which sits near where The Beatles first started to play in the early ’60s, and live your best psychedelic life.
6. Admire the views from Glastonbury Tor
On a clear day you can see for miles from Glastonbury Tor. It might be a bit of a steep climb, but a visit to the Grade I-listed tower at the top, which is steeped in history and legend, makes for a magical day out. Afterwards wander back into the tiny Somerset town of Glastonbury. It plays host to the iconic music festival most summers, but it keeps those hippie vibes going all year round. Shop for crystals and spells on the high street or stop by the Chalice Well Gardens for a sip of healing water.
7. Wallow in Bath’s famous thermal waters
Bath’s thermal waters have attracted visitors for hundreds of years. The Romans were the area’s first big fans, and the extravagant baths they constructed using the naturally heated springs can still be visited today. They are not for swimming in, though. Once you’ve seen The Roman Baths, head to the Thermae Bath Spa. Here you can soak in mineral-rich springs and look out over the honey-coloured Unesco World Heritage city that author Jane Austen called home from the rooftop pool. Bliss.
8. Play the penny arcades on Brighton Pier
The seaside town of Brighton, just an hour south of London, is the perfect destination for a day by the Great British seaside. The town is crammed full of creativity and culture. Wander around vintage shops on the Lanes, marvel at the exotic-looking Royal Pavilion, spy bold street art, dip into independent art galleries and pause for a Mr Whippy ice cream and a play in the arcades on the Pier. Brighton’s nightlife is legendary, so stay put for a wild night out in the town’s quirky pubs, bars and clubs.
9. Wander around West Yorkshire like the Brontës
Read Emily Brontë’s ‘Wuthering Heights’, or at least sung along to Kate Bush’s musical version? Head to the pretty village of Haworth in West Yorkshire, where the vicarage Emily, Charlotte, Anne and their family lived. The weather-beaten building has now been turned into a museum, documenting their lives. Afterwards explore the cobbled streets, tea rooms and old-fashioned railway station before heading off on one of the walking trails to waterfalls, rugged moorland and ruined farmhouses, like Top Withins, which is said to have inspired Emily’s gothic novel. Walking boots recommended.
10. Fly a broomstick at the Harry Potter Studio Tour
Potterheads the world over will know England as the home of The Boy Who Lived. There are filming locations dotted all over the country, but true fans will want to head straight for Leavesden Studios, where the majority of the movies were filmed. Set off on the ‘Warner Bros Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter’ to wander around the Great Hall, peek into shop fronts on Diagon Alley. No trip would be complete without a pint of butterbeer and the opportunity to ‘fly’ your very own broomstick. UP!

Well, you have to hand it to the denizens of Ibrox for an unerring ability to miss the point, even when it’s the size of a wall you’re hitting with a sledgehammer.
They have seen some evidence of what they think is division in the ranks of the Celtic support; what absolute head-banging fruitcakes these people are.
Differences of opinion are not division, and only those who want to use disruptive terminology, who crow from their high horse seeking to carve the support into wee groups of “real fans” and “enemies of the club” and other such nonsense, can make it so.
And you know what?
Some of those people are loonies and the rest of us won’t let them do it.
Neil Lennon was not everybody’s first choice. He wasn’t even some people’s second choice or third choice or fourth choice. But he is here. He is the manager. And in my life I have never known a newly appointed Celtic manager not to get the full-throated support of the fans.
Doubts will be parked. Other options will be forgotten. The man in the dugout will get full backing.
.celtra-ad-host { min-width: calc(100% + 50%) !important; margin-left: 2px !important; transform-origin: top left; transform: scale3d(0.67,0.67,1); }
The board will get the scrutiny they deserve; that’s a foregone conclusion … but Celtic fans always support the manager.
Told you it wasn’t personal, didn’t I?
And whilst the board’s decision might have set back our ten in a row prospects because Lennon wasn’t the A-list boss who would have made it a foregone conclusion in the eyes of everyone but Chris Jack and Neil Cameron, that’s a relative judgement.
Think of it like this.
Imagine you’re a general with 50 armoured divisions in preparation for an attack on the enemy. Now imagine that the commander in chief “borrows” ten of those divisions for another attack along a separate front. He has made your job harder than it has to be.
He has put your strategy and your success at risk. He has jeopardised your chances. But if you’re only facing 10 enemy divisions, it’s not a big risk. The smart money would still be on you to succeed, and that’s exactly the situation we have right here.
In my view, the board has failed to put us in the best possible position.
They have taken an un-necessary risk with the manager.
But Neil Lennon, on his worst day, is still a better manager than Steven Gerrard is on his best day.
And our squad, on its worst day, is still a stronger squad than Gerrard has at his disposal or is likely to have.
And even our board, on its worst day, and making the worst possible decision (which this wasn’t; I think most of us agree that would have been Moyes) is still a vastly more competent board with more resources at its disposal than the one across the city.
This is all self-evident stuff.
We are Celtic.
We are sitting at the top of the Scottish game, not just at the top of the league and with all the trophies; we’re sitting atop the pile, during a period of domestic dominance like the game here has never seen.
There is a word I write over and over and over again; fundamentals.
I used it first it in the aftermath of the Scottish Cup semi-final of 2016, which, arguably, was the last meaningful game we lost in Scottish football … think on that for one second and tell me I’m wrong.
The last meaningful game we lost in Scottish football was over three years ago.
That record stands because we have the fundamentals right.
Our operations are self-sustaining and the money is rolling in.
Our wage bill is three times higher than they can afford, and we can it is affordable for us.
Our squad is young and tied down on long term deals.
Our board is comprised of professional people who know how to run a business and turn a profit.
And although I do not believe that the last manager of the club was properly resourced, and I have concerns about whether Neil Lennon will be, that is about failures of strategy more than the absence of resources. Whilst some of those choices have at times made us look weak, we’re actually not.
The fundamentals are sound; the money is there if required.
And that’s the key phrase this time; if required.
Our board seems to be content just to get by, and the thing of it is, I think we’re perfectly capable of getting by.
I don’t believe that anything is likely to happen at Ibrox that changes the equation we’re looking at right now, which is that we are stronger in every department and especially in terms of the money, where we are so far ahead as to be almost out of sight.
But of course, it’s about how the money is spent and what it is spent on.
And I believe that if we looked as if were going to be in trouble and we were facing the possibility of losing our title and nine and ten in a row that the fans would demand action … and if that time ever comes we at least can all take solace from the knowledge that the money is there to take that action.
Action like that will be expensive.
It will probably end up being more expensive than spending it when we should have would have been, but with our backs to the wall and in the moment of greatest need, I know that the resources would be there to blow any challenge away.
Some people have suggested that Neil Lennon is going to get the money he needs, during this summer, to do the rebuild he wants (I’ll be writing about that later) and if they are right then we’re in for one Hell of a time, and we could follow it up with a blow-out league campaign where we can put our rivals away early and turn the entire thing into a season-long party towards the nine.
See, I firmly believe that Gerrard is a limp rag of a manager and their whole club exists right now on suspension of disbelief.
Everything there is illusory, whereas Celtic’s strengths are real.
I don’t think it will take much to bring it all crashing down at Ibrox.
Had we brought in the A-list manager some us wanted, that process would already have started.
There’s a whole summer to come. If we strengthen they will start to panic before a ball is even kicked. If we hit the ground running early next season, I think it’ll be a runaway train over there. It’ll go out of control and come off the rails fast.
See, the 3Treble years have battle hardened this team to the point they’re like a Vietnam War platoon which has done three tours of duty.
Pressure doesn’t touch them.
On top of that, these guys have a will to win and a taste for victory like no club I’ve ever watched.
At Ibrox they’ve won nothing for seven years.
The pressure of being perennial losers must be enormous.
They don’t know what winning feels like; where are the leaders, where are the winners, in that dressing room of theirs?
If they are under pressure – and there will be more pressure on them than they’ve ever known (until next year anyway) – they will crack like an egg hit with a mallet.
These Peepul are bonkers to believe that this represents a chance for them.
It offers them a glimmer of hope, the one that would have been snuffed out completely had we appointed a Cocu or a Blanc or someone of that calibre, but it’s no more than that and that will flicker and die like a candle in the wind the second actual football is being played again.
And here’s a last confession; although I know that it’s nine and ten in a row they fear, the thing itself and not so much any one individual connected with it, I will admit to feeling a certain thrill at the idea of Neil Lennon being the guy who gets us over the line.
Their hate for him is so visceral and so all-consuming that there will be something satisfyingly complete should he triumph – as he will – that I cannot deny, because, yes, it will add an extra layer of torment to their pain they will already be experiencing.
And I want them to hurt, I really do.
It may make me a bad person, but I’ll take that criticism on the chin.
Because we hurt over the long years of Rangers’ dominance – although it was never dominance on the scale of this.
I actually think we’ve been pretty magnanimous, and restrained, compared to the pomp and arrogance I remember when an Ibrox boot was on our throat.
I think of that often on days like today.
And oh, how it makes me laugh.

Warshaw: Handicapping the 2018 MLS Western Conference playoff race
USA Today Images
September 14, 201810:10AM EDT
Six weeks left in the regular season. The playoff push is fully initiated. Andrew Wiebe covered the biggest race in the East on Thursday. Let’s take a look at the odds over in the West.
The playoff line in the Western Conference currently resides at 41 points, one point above seventh-place Vancouver.
You know how you’ve looked at your team’s upcoming schedule to calculate probably points? Well, players do it, too. They know what’s ahead and the mountain – or relative mole hill – they have to climb.
Methodology
If I put my player hat on and look at the schedule, here’s how I would view each game, independent on what team I’m playing for:
Consider it an L
Marked in red below

Using those, we can build a general probability of each team making the playoffs. I’ve also included the FiveThirtyEight projections.
My “BW Probabilities” are based on four factors:
Difficulty of remaining schedule
Form
Injuries, suspensions, any bubbling issues
Overall team quality
Dallas aren’t really on the bubble. I just personally don’t like saying teams are a lock if they aren’t actually a lock. If NYCFC can go on a 1-win-in-8-match run, it can happen to anyone. (I’m trying not to bring up Dallas’s 2017 collapse, which fully implanted the “Well, anything actually can happen” seed flowering here.) That said, Dallas are as close to clinched as a team can be.
Current points: 49, eight above the line
BW probability: 95%*
538 probability: 99%
Remaining schedule: Columbus, @Vancouver, @Portland, Orlando, @D.C. United, Sporting KC, @Colorado,
Recent form: L-W-D-L-W
*NOTE: I’m not 99% confident in anything in life
Sporting KC
Same as Dallas: Sporting KC are clinched as clinched can be … without being clinched.
Current points: 48, seven above the line
BW probability: 95%
538 probability: 99%
Remaining schedule: @San Jose, @Philadelphia, Real Salt Lake, LA Galaxy, @Vancouver, @FC Dallas, LAFC
Recent form: W-W-W-L-W
LAFC have a major question to answer with how they replace Laurent Ciman: aggressive, athletic, technical center backs don’t grow on trees, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see the team regress slightly. But they also have the easiest remaining schedule. They could — probably should — win the next six games. If you’re in a pool to pick the top seed in the West, I’d go with LAFC right now.
Current points: 46, five above the line
BW probability: 95% **
538 probability: 98%
Remaining schedule: New England, San Jose, @Chicago, @Colorado, Houston, Vancouver, @Sporting KC
Recent form: L-W-W-D-W
Real Salt Lake
RSL haven’t lost more than two in a row all year and haven’t gone more than three in a row without winning this season. And they look better now than they have all year; they’ve been great to watch lately. But I’d be lying/wimping out if I said I fully trust them. We could try to break down RSL’s level, but the numbers tell the clearest story: They win at home (10-1-3) and lose on the road (3-9-2). RSL finish with four away from home, plus Portland at Rio Tinto wedged in there, so they could conceivably lose all five of those final games. If I had more faith in Vancouver or the Galaxy I would put RSL’s percentage lower. RSL will probably get in … but I wouldn’t take it for granted yet just yet.
Current points: 44, three above the line
BW probability: 65%
538 probability: 85%
Remaining schedule: Minnesota, @Atlanta, @Sporting KC, Portland, @New England, @Portland
Recent form: D-L-W-W-W
Portland have a game in hand on RSL, thus the higher percentage. I realize Portland haven’t exactly been rock solid lately, losing four in a row last month. But I trust Portland in a do-or-die game if it were to come to that, given Portland have the best trump card if they ever really need points — fully commit to the sit-and-counter philosophy nobody could beat over their 15-game unbeaten run.
Current points: 44, three above the line
BW probability: 70%
538 probability: 87%
Remaining schedule: @Houston, Columbus, @Minnesota, FC Dallas, @Real Salt Lake, Real Salt Lake, @Vancouver
Recent form: L-L-W-D-W
The game against Vancouver on Saturday (10pm ET | TSN — Full TV & streaming info) is big – for everything Seattle have accomplished, their Cascadia neighbor could knock them below the playoff line again. But that final run is just so cushy. It’s tough to imagine the Sounders don’t take nine points in there, and nine points would likely get the job done.
Current points: 41, just above the line
BW probability: 88%
538 probability: 91%
Remaining schedule: @Vancouver, Philadelphia, @LA Galaxy, Colorado, Houston, @Orlando, @Houston, San Jose
Recent form: W-W-W-W-W etc. etc. … If you haven’t heard, Seattle are on the longest win streak since shootouts were a thing.
Most have already written Vancouver off, but the Whitecaps refuse to go quietly. They deserve a ton of credit for it. But look at that schedule …
I would like to see Alphonso Davies make a playoff run before he departs for Bayern, but it would take a ridiculous run for the ‘Caps to get there.
Current points: 40, one below the line
BW probability: 15%
538 probability: 29%
Remaining schedule: Seattle, FC Dallas, @LA Galaxy, @Toronto FC, Sporting KC, @LAFC, Portland
Recent form: D-W-D-W-W
I’m giving the Galaxy the inverse of RSL’s probability. I see one slot coming down to either of those two clubs (since Vancouver has such a tough schedule). With RSL sitting on 44 points, the Galaxy need to make up six points + the six we’re assuming Mike Petke’s group will add (win vs. Minnesota + win vs. NE or multiple draws) from their remaining games, for a total of at least 12 points. Do the Galaxy have four wins in them?
If you say no, I think you’re crazy. If Zlatan, Gio, Jona et al. decide their careers/legacies are on the line, they could kick into a gear that any team would struggle to handle. Yet there’s this:
That got left on the cutting room floor. Here’s what Schmid said about that: “I think probably this weekend you’re going to see nine guys behind the ball and one center forward.” https://t.co/e9lAbYgj9P
— Jeff Carlisle (@JeffreyCarlisle) September 13, 2018
I’m somewhat surprised to hear the Galaxy may try to defend deep to solidify the defense, but I can’t blame them for it. Can the Galaxy make up the points? For sure. Will they? I’m keeping my money in my pocket.
Current points: 38, three points below the line
BW probability: 35%
538 probability: 11%
Remaining schedule: @Toronto FC, Seattle, Vancouver, @Sporting KC, @Minnesota, Houston
Recent form: D-D-L-D-L
Current points: 29, 12 points below the line
BW probability: If the computer model says you’re projection is below 1% …
538 probability: <1%
Current points: 24, 17 points below the line
538 probability: <1%
San Jose were mathematically eliminated from playoff competition on September 2.

I know the internet is full of Barcelona guides as it seems to become a more and more popular place to visit, but here is my view to an great weekend in Barcelona. This guide is a mix of the standard Barcelona touristy places to go to, like Parc Guell and the Sagrada Famillia, and a couple more ‘secret’ attractions like Refugi 307 and the Bunquers del Carmel.
Day 1:
09.00-10.00:  Breakfast at Blai 9 On the way from the metro station (Parallel) to Monjuic Castle is a lovely little restaurant to stop for breakfast. Blai 9 is a great little place that sells tapas dishes as well as pintxos. Pintxos can be seen as the more complicated brother of tapas, they are little artworks spiked on skrewer, but the difference largely depends on the location in Spain. Many people believe that they are just a tapa with a toothpick through them, but don’t say that when in northern Spain!
You can pick up the pinxtos from the bar, they are between €1-€1,50 and all taste great! So pick as many as you can eat because there is so much variety!
#gallery-0-34 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-34 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-0-34 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-34 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Breakfast at Blai 9
10.00-11.00:  Refugi 307 On the way to Montjuic castle as well, you will find Refugi 307. It is number 307 of more than a thousand shelters that were built by the citizens of Barcelona during the civil war. Refugi 307 consists of 400 metres of tunnel measuring 1.6 metres wide and 2 metres high. You can see the different rooms, including the toilets, a nursery and an infirmary.
If you want to learn a bit about Barelona’s history and do something different than the the usual Parc Guell and Sangrada de Famillia, go and see this Refugi.
11.00-13.00:  Montjuic Castle From the Refugi, walk up the hill to Monjuic Castle. The panoramic views of Barcelona during this walk, already make this hill worth climbing. We stopped at a bar halfway through the walk for a drink called ‘Miramar’. The bar itself wasn’t anything special but the views were amazing, so a great stop for a cold Coke.
The castle itself was used as a military prison, where political prisoners were kept, tortured and shot until 1960 when it was given back to the city and used as an army base.
#gallery-0-35 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-35 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-0-35 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-35 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Miramar Bar with stunning views over Barcelona
13.00-14.00: Olympic Stadion and the National Palace Walk down the hill via the other side  towards metro station Espanya. Along the way you will encounter the Olympic stadion and the National Palace.
#gallery-0-36 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-36 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-0-36 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-36 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Palau Nacional
14.00-15.30:  Parc Guell Park guell is one of the most famous attractions of Barcelona, designed by Gaudi. Unfortunately you cannot acces the park for free anymore and especcially in the summer, the tickets that they do sell, sell out very quickly. So I recommend, that if you really want to go here, to book your tickets online in advance.
#gallery-0-37 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-37 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-0-37 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-37 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Bubbly Parc Guell
15.30-16.30:  Bunquers del Carmel Another ‘secret’ place to visit in Barcelona with great views over the town and at walking distance to Parc Guell. It is quite a hike, but completely worth it though. The views all the way up are  spectacular but from the very top it was breathtaking. At the same time, you get to experience the history of Barcelona’s role in the Spanish Civil War.
16.30-17.00:  Churros time at Churreria laiertana After a long day of walking it is time to treat yourself to the best churros is town! This place is ranked number one on Tripadvisor in the category Deserts and that’s not for nothing! This small family restaurant doesn’t look like anything special from the outside and if I wouldn’t have found it via Tripadvisor I probably would have walked straight past. But I am soo happy I didn’t because their churros are delicious and super fresh, they make them in front of your eyes. Soo much better than the microwaved ones that you get in loads of other churros places in town.
17.00-19.00:  Time to relax! After a long day of walking, it’s time to relax, enjoy the sun, and put those feet up! Take the metro to  ‘Arc De Triomp’ and spend your time in one of the parks. Walk from the Arc de Triomf towards Cituadelle Park, which is a great place to sit in the grass, enjoy all the different streetartists, or if you still got some energy left, rent a little rowing boat. They are just 5 euros for 1 hour and soo much fun, a little cheesy, but who cares!
#gallery-0-38 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-38 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-0-38 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-38 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Arc The Triomph
#gallery-0-39 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-39 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-0-39 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-39 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Row, row, row the boat!
1900-20.30:   Time for wine and Food! From Ciutadelle Parc it’s only a short walk to the old town centre, where you will finds lots of different little restaurants and bars. It will be crowded with people in the summer, which brings everything alive and creates a great atmosphere. So Enjoy and have some great tapas, pinxtos, paella or whatever else you fancy. If you are going for sangria, take the “Sangria de Cava”, the lesser known (more glamorous and local) version of the traditional Spanish Sangria.
20.30-22.00:  Watch the Magic Fountain show By this time a couple things could have happened, you were enjoying your drinks so much that you forgot the time and by now it’s already ten o’clock and the fountain show is over. In that case, take another drink and try again tomorrow. If on the other hand, the alcohol gave you some extra energy to do one more last thing, take the metro to Pl. Espanya and enjoy the fountain show. As the name gives aways, it is magical and totally free as well!
#gallery-0-40 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-40 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-0-40 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-40 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Day 2:
09.00-10.00:  Sleep in! You have had a long day yesterday with lots of walking so give yourself a well deserved sleep 🙂
11.00-12.00 Hospital de Sant Pau Take the metro to ‘Guinardo, Hospital de Sant Pau‘ . Walk around the building to get to the main entrance. It was built as a hospital in the 1800’s and then became an Art Nouveau site in 2009. There are about 10 buildings, some of which you cannot enter because refurbisment work is still ongoing. Of the buildings that are accessible there are about 6 or 7. This place is wonderful, if you are interested in architecture and historical buildings, then you must visit Sant Pau. It costs about 13€ to enter,  but it is worth it.
#gallery-0-41 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-41 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-0-41 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-41 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Hospital de Sant Pau
12.00-13.30:  La Sagrada Familia From the ‘Hospital’ you look straight onto the Sagrada Familia, so walk along Av. Gaudi to get to the Sagrada Familia. Getting closer to the church expect all the prices to go up, the number of local people to go down and the number of tourists with shiny cameras to go up.  The Sagrada itself is an absolute masterpiece, no doubt about that. But I decided not to go in the church, to be honest I think Barcelona is a bit too thirsty for the tourists money. It costs 30 euros, so you can make your own decision on that. I am sure that it is wonderfull once you are in there, but for me it’s just a little bit too much..
#gallery-0-42 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-42 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-0-42 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-42 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Av Gaudi, with la Sagrada Familia in sight
13.30-18.00:  Barceloneta Take the metro to Barceloneta, get some chorizo or other cured meat at one of the little market stands along the boulevard an head towards the beaches. Get your towel out and relax…
#gallery-0-43 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-43 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-0-43 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-43 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Yum…
#gallery-0-44 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-44 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-0-44 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-44 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Barcelonette
18.00- 20.00:  Food and Las Ramblas Time for some food again and if you don’t mind loads of people, go to Las Ramblas, the main street, with lots of  bars and restaurants. But be prepared to pay a lot for you food and drinks here. Better go to one of the little streets attached to Las Ramblas to look for a restaurant with better food and better prices. Later in the evening you can always go to Las Ramblas for some Sangria if you fancy.
20:30-22:00: Magic Fountain?? If you haven’t already the first day, go to the magic fountain today, you won’t regret it, I promise!
That brings me to the end of my ‘weekend trip to Barcelona’ post. I think this is a really good guideline for firsttimers, who want to explore Barcelona with all it’s famous and not so famous attractions.  As you read Barcelona is a very versatile city, it has got great beaches, beautiful architecture and a cosy old town centre where you can have great wine and spanish food.  Something for everyone! So I would definitely recommend a citytrip here!

In the Insurance Institute for street security crash testing, Town and Country got the most astounding score of “good” in the direct stabilizer frontal effect test, and in addition parallel effect tests, The rooftop and the head limitations. 2016 Chrysler Town and Country Interior
Enter 2016 Chrysler Town and Country and know that you don’t enter a bearer entirely for school. With a standard touchscreen interface and calfskin situates, the abnormal state of substance is quickly obvious. A portion of the inside plastics are somewhat disillusioning to touch; however, the lodge is for the most part appealing and upscale in appearance.
A few drivers may experience issues conforming an ideal seating position, be that as it may, as the proportion between the seat with the pedals and the directing wheel is by all accounts somewhat off. Changing the force of pedals can help in such manner, however cannot be accomplished with the Platinum Limited conformity.
Notwithstanding, the outside perceivability is brilliant, and the gathering of markers is basic, perfect and simple to peruse.
One of Town and Country’s solid offering focuses is the Stow ‘n Go seating highlight in the second line, which permits them to overlay into the floor with the basic draw of a lever. The third column situate 60/40-split likewise overlays (collapsing power limit is discretionary) and can be turned back to make agreeable seats for the back entryway parts.
The solace of the seat is satisfactory, yet some may find that the seat pads profoundly slanted in the second and third lines can outstandingly make for an irregular stance of the seat.
All seats collapsed level, payload range measured 143.8 cubic feet, a focused figure for a minivan. With the seats set up, there are still 33 solid shapes behind the third line.
2016 Chrysler Town and Country Driving
The 3.6-liter V6 motor of the Chrysler Town and Country 2016 creates agreeable speeding up for most circumstances, when taking care of is steady and safe. It is the general refinement of T and C that goes behind the gentler Japanese rivalry.
There is more V6 hell and the programmed transmission still does not change and we might want. The nature of the driving van can likewise get more precarious when driving on vast knocks contrasted with adversaries like Odyssey or Sienna.
2016 Chrysler Town and Country – It begins with a well-deserved Reputation for Class-Leading innovation and Power 2016 Chrysler Town and Country Review Town and Country Chrysler has brought a touch of extravagance and class in the MPV fragment for more than two decades.

LG OLED CX TV review: The picture against which all other TVs are measured

Now playing: Watch this: LG CX OLED TV review: Awesome picture, high price
3:52

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
David Katzmaier/CNET

Four HDMI inputs with HDMI 2.1, HDCP 2.2
Three USB ports
Composite video/audio input

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
660 nits).

Now playing: Watch this: LG CX OLED TV review: Awesome picture, high price
3:52

660 nits).

PETER CROUCH: I’m amazed at the lack of respect for Arsenal boss Unai Emery
Peter Crouch is a columnist for Sportsmail
There is nothing like jumping to conclusions. Unai Emery has just completed his first 90 minutes in the Premier League but already some have seen enough.
Manchester City outclassed Arsenal in Emery's first game. There is no real shame in that as the champions are going to outclass most teams they face. But judging by some of the crazy reaction after that 2-0 defeat, the first game should have been the last for Emery.
Those who had demanded change and were looking for signs of Arsenal moving in a dynamic new direction after the Arsene Wenger era saw the same old problems, the determination to play attractive football no matter who the opposition.
Sam Allardyce was heavily critical of Emery's style in wanting to play out from the back. Much of what Allardyce said will have jarred but I agreed with some of his comments.
Unai Emery has completed his first 90 minutes at Arsenal but already some have seen enough
You cannot play out from the back against City if you are not close to their level. Pep Guardiola's City team is full of top players who are the best at pressing teams high up the pitch. There is no shame in taking out the press by clipping the ball to your striker and playing from there.
It is sensible play and takes out the unnecessary risk of constantly playing short. If your opponents eventually do drop back, then you can play the football you want but it makes no sense for teams to stick to one method.
The most successful sides are the most flexible and if you want evidence, think back to Manchester United's treble winners in 1999 – they played beautiful football but won the Champions League with two goals from set-pieces.
Sometimes winning is all that matters and style shouldn't come in to it. I can remember playing games for Stoke against Swansea and Wigan: we'd set traps when they tried to play out and knew, eventually, we'd catch them out.
Granit Xhaka, Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi (LR) appear dejected against Manchester City
City did the same to Arsenal last Sunday. I felt sorry for Petr Cech. Playing with the ball at his feet is not one of his strengths but he is still a clean goalkeeper and did not deserve that level of stick.
The same is true for Emery. There is no doubt he has lessons to learn here but some criticism has gone overboard. They have shown him a lack of respect.
Emery was a surprise appointment. His pedigree, however, marks him out as one of the best in Europe. He won the Europa League three years in a row with Seville then followed up at Paris Saint-Germain with three major trophies in two years.
Again, though, people will point to his record in the Champions League in Paris and it feels like some have jumped on that bandwagon. They have decided Emery is not cut out for the Premier League after 90 minutes.
Judgments like these never cease to amaze me. I have had enough experience with new managers to know it is impossible for a new man to change things immediately.
Emery won the Europa League for three consecutive seasons while in charge at Seville
We are going through an adjustment process at Stoke. Gary Rowett is different to Paul Lambert who was different to Mark Hughes. It is inevitable that it takes time to settle.
The adaptation period at Arsenal could be a long one. Wenger was not just the manager, he was effectively the club. He had total say on everything that happened for 22 years and his methods will be ingrained in many players.
Emery will have put across his ideas in his first meeting with the squad. That's the easy bit. The hard part is going to implement the changes he wants.
Players are creatures of habit and the idea of change can be unsettling. When a new manager asks them to do something new or that they don't like, they will revert to what they knew before. These are the obstacles Emery will have to clear.
Emery works with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of Arsenal's game against Chelsea
What he needs is time and patience. City taught him a harsh lesson but an early bump does not mean a crisis is coming.
Everyone wanted to see change at Arsenal. Now the change has been made, everyone at the club needs to get behind Emery and tonight's game at Chelsea presents a big opportunity. The atmosphere at the club has been difficult for far too long.
Pogba is a puzzle United need to solve quickly
The first game I played this summer was a friendly at Walsall. It was in the middle of July on the back of three weeks in training.
I'd had a good holiday so I returned fresh but still, I was out on my feet after the game. I thought Paul Pogba was playing for Manchester United against Leicester after just five days back in training.
What he did was remarkable. Yes, he is full of confidence after helping France win the World Cup but from a physical point of view, the ground he covered and the impact he had in his side's 2-1 win was incredible.
Paul Pogba scores a penalty just three minutes into the new season against Leicester City
But the other aspect that stamped the performance as special was the fact it delivered with everything that is going on behind the scenes. Unhappy players shouldn't be able to exert that much influence but Pogba is special.
Yet every time I watch him I just feel he has so much more to give. He has got that much ability it is frightening. His situation at the moment, though, is clearly not ideal and United has got to find a solution to all this.
What Pogba has shown in the last two years is only surface scratching or what he can do. United cannot afford to lose someone or his talent.
The Frenchman celebrates in training on Friday as Manchester United prepare to face Brighton
Smash, bang, wallop – Wayne rolls back years
You will have seen the clip many times: the sprint followed by the challenge, the dribble and the inch-perfect diagonal ball.
They said Wayne Rooney was going to the United States for a holiday but it seems moving to Washington has helped him turn back time. The footage I woke up on Monday reminded me of a 16-year-old force of nature, not a man whose best days have gone.
Those who said Rooney was washed up when he left the Premier League this summer have written him off too soon. His performance against Orlando City was excellent and he followed up with more of the same when scoring twice against Portland Timbers.
Wayne Rooney sprints after Will Johnson as races towards an empty net against DC United
The ex-England captain executes a perfect slide tackle to deny Johnson and regain possession
Rooney then provided a perfect assist to set up a 96th minute winner for Luciano Acosta
People will look at the opponents and be cynical but the thing about Major League Soccer is all the teams athletic and run hard. You can only play well if you are fit.
Rooney would not have been able to do what he did done this week if he wasn't physically firing on all cylinders.
The spectacular assist against Orlando is how I remember him – smashing into a tackle, winning the ball and then doing something outrageous. He's thriving being the main man again and DC United, who had a recent history of losing, are reaping the benefits.
Rooney scored twice against Portland Timbers to help DC United to another important victory
The ex-Everton and Manchester United forward celebrates after finding the back of the net
I wonder if any clubs in Europe will be thinking about taking him on a short-term deal in the winter, in the same way David Beckham and Robbie Keane had loans from LA Galaxy.
I'm not sure it would be the right thing for him to do, as that would be a huge workload. Wayne is also entitled to enjoy a quieter life now.
I had five years of living in a goldfish bowl when I played for Liverpool and England, so I cannot imagine what Wayne has had to experience. It's just good to see him playing with a smile again. Long may it continue.
Expect more fly-on-wall shows
One thing I want to watch about the course of the next week is Manchester City's fly-on -the-wall documentary, All or Nothing. I've seen all the trailers and I am intrigued to see what life is really like under Pep Guardiola with the methods he uses.
I am sure supporters are fascinated to see what it is like inside a dressing room but I can see a point in the future where TV cameras will become a fixture in there after games. It's commonplace for American media to go 'to the locker room' after the final whistle and I believe it will happen here.
These American companies such as Amazon, who will screen Premier League games next season, and Facebook will expect certain things for the huge sums they are investing and players will need to be aware of this.
Pep Guardiola celebrates Kevin De Bruyne's winner at Chelsea in the new documentary
Fabian Delph is a slamming dressing room by after his red card at Wigan in the FA Cup
We have benefited from the explosion of TV revenue and we are well paid. The increases we have received nothing to do with the shirt sales and gate receipts, it is all down to the investment companies such as Sky and BT have made.
You always have to make sure you do interviews.
I'll admit being part of the old generation and I'd find the concept of TV cameras being in the dressing room after games bizarre. I have seen so many things happen inside those four walls, things that have never emerged. The dressing room was always our safe haven.
There is going to be a point, however, when the doors are going to open. Whether it is Sky or Amazon or whoever, when they make such huge commitments they will look for different ways to freshen up their coverage. Coming into the dressing room could be the way they do it.

MY WEEK
WHO'S CAUGHT MY EYE … JAMES MADDISON
I predicted Leicester will have a good year and the way they played at Old Trafford last Friday did nothing to dissuade me. I really like the look of them. Maddison, an England Under 21 international, caught my eye. He played without fear and was so comfortable on the ball. He wants to become an important player, without any doubt.
WHAT I'M LISTENING TO …
The Coral have new music out. Their album is called Move Through the Dawn and the song Eyes Like Pearls is getting plenty of air time. I'll be working my way through that week. I've always been a fan of these boys.
WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO …
It has been a hard week at the Stoke training ground as we look to find our stride after not getting the results we wanted to start the season. Everything's geared up for another tough game at Preston on Saturday evening.
NEXT UP FOR ME …
I'm looking forward to seeing how Steven N'Zonzi does for Roma after joining from Seville this week. When we played together at Stoke I knew he was a top player. My only surprise is that Manchester United, Arsenal or Liverpool never seriously questioned about him.
