things that I like: angelina johnson, underrated character tbh. when I was 11 I used to pretend to be her with my two friends who were katie and alicia lol because I was obsessed with them. bronze trio!! girlie entered her name for the triwizard, corrected Wood on his male centrism, was a dedicated quidditch captain and excellent chaser who coached a (frankly, mostly shit) team to victory and also every boy in her year wanted her. she was That Girl

More things I love about Angelina:

Her joining a Wizard Fight Club in her 4th year (not her fault the club failed cause it was Professor Lockhart)

Going to the ball with Fred, having a good time, but ultimately deciding to just stay friends

Double bonus for how it didn't interfere with their friendship OR with the team (which takes a lot of maturity)

How she could have pulled that whole friend group (Fred, George, AND Lee) if she wanted to but didn't

Supported Harry as champion from the start and was cheering the loudest for him during the first task (with the twins)

Her being able to keep that mess of a team under her thumb

Standing up to Oliver when he would refer to the team as "lads"

Listen I know everyone is up in arms over "how dare Liliana say 'there are children here' to the daughter she abandoned."

And I get it.

But man.. this woman ran away from her own kid when she was barely an adult herself. Twenty odd years of wandering and she's now carved out a position of power for herself in the hopes of mitigating the harm caused by her colleagues. She takes care of the kids that follow that relentless pull and find their way to the Vanguard because maybe they never had anyone to tell them to run. And maybe she sees Imogen a little in every single one of them and wonders who she could've been, who she is.

And then that daughter pulls her from sleep and says "Maybe it's your turn to run."
