I had a very long, very detailed dream about the Old Guard sequel. There were some parts I liked, and some I didn't, and some that were intensely bizarre because it was, after all, a dream. But the important thing is that the part of my brain that's a feral little animal about TOG has been tricked into thinking it's gotten new content. It now has sufficient enrichment in its enclosure and it's stopped pacing and rattling the bars.

#I am pleased to report #that even my subconscious recognizes that Andy and Nile are the main characters #there were a couple of nice Joe/Nicky moments #Booker was entirely absent #the Andy and Quynh reunion scene could have been done better #my alarm went off before it finished #the old guard #the old guard sequel #2o2g

the old guard is a compelling movie because on one hand it’s a pretty fun action flick with an interesting premise, and on the other it sits like an elephant in the back of my mind because i know if i give even the slightest bit of credence to joe and nicky’s cross-century enemies-to-lovers murdering-eachother-since-the-crusades 100k slow burn extravaganza i will go literally insane
