"After being fired from her job and dumped by her boyfriend, a cosmetics saleswoman becomes the nanny to the three children of a rich English widower."
The Tasteful Risque Comedy Sitcom! The Nanny is a 90s American sitcom wildly known for it's humorous actors' chemistry, timeless costume design and of course, the wonderful stories and characters of the well diverse cast.
Fran Fine, the Jewish bubbly sexy nasal voiced fashion queen from Flushing, New York, gets fired and dumped by her boss-boyfriend from his bridal shop, resorting to a door to door cosmetics salesgirl. While on the job, she arrives at a millionare Broadway producer's mansion. Niles ,the butler, mistakes her for applying for the nanny application and lets her in. She meets the Sheffield household; Maxwell Sheffield, the uptight widower with a head full of hair, and his three children, Maggie, the awkward shy teen, Brighton, the troublemaker middle child and Gracie, the youngest with the complicated mind. Desperate for help, Maxwell hires Fran , much to the dismay of his business partner, the egocentric C.C Babcock.
From then on- the bleak household took a turn for the craziest, loudest and Jewish years of their lives.
Directed by Lee Shallat Chemel; Written by Robert Sternin,

*notes: Despite being an all white main cast, the diversity of the characters are pretty good for the time: American Jewish characters families, English characters, High class and working class, and occasional characters of different races andcultures. Albeit lacking the multidiverse norm we see in media nowadays, it wasn't too shabby.
Rewatching the nanny with my mother and this show is killing me by pretending that CC Babcock is an unappealing ugly woman but every time she's on screen im crying screaming rolling on the floor
Door-to-door cosmetics sales lady Fran Fine inadvertently becomes the nanny to the three children of a widowed Broadway producer.
