Secretary!Marinette Part 9 (Idea Dump)
I don't know how many of these I'll do but I'm having so much fun coming up with ideas! Anyways this dump is going to explore Marinette's and Bruce's relationship! Let's start!! Bruce is kinda OOC but... I want a soft Dad-daughter relationship ok. SUE ME.
Bruce is confused most of the time when Mari showed him how much of an overly competent secretary she is.
She somehow knows when he was faking over meetings because he doesn't want to deal with investors and when he doesn't want to go to meetings because of a serious problem.
He's also kinda confused about how a small woman like her hides the strength of a million strong men. He often watches her pick up the largest boxes that probably weigh thrice her weight. She could manhandle him if the situation went awry from rogue, attacks, and lastly, he saw her punch through thick wooden doors before because one of his younger sons was kidnapped for ransom. That was scary, and he had never felt so safe before in his life.
He is also quite confused as to how she could give so much kindness to strangers and expect nothing from it. She often bakes him pastries and made sure that he has enough snacks during his working hour. She often made sure that his outfit is warm enough and he even got a knitted scarf as a gift from her that she knits herself.
He wanted to adopt her after learning about her past. So, he sometimes slips a paper adoption in the files that she was supposed to work on that day and it has become a game for them of some sort.
Bruce is awkward with his feelings and Marinette finds it hilarious. Marinette teaches him a secret handshake and at first, he did it awkwardly, and then it became a habit. Marinette likes to give him huge bear hugs and at first, Bruce did not know what to do. Like the secret handshake, it became a habit.
They both love to troll the Wayne Staff, at first, Bruce tries to stop her from creating chaos, but then he joins in and they made sure to team up to troll pesky business partners, reporters, and even investors alike.
Bruce doesn't know this but it was he who got adopted first by Marinette before he got the chance to adopt her.
The girl treats her like her father that needs help to manage his life. She worries about him when he gets no sleep. She constantly deals with difficult investors or potential business partners to make sure that her dad boss doesn't have to deal with headaches often. She even made sure that those pesky tabloid reporters left him and his family alone.
Like a cub trying to protect her parents, people often pegged her as a ferocious little kitten (because of her small posture) trying to claw away anyone that feels like a threat to her cat dad. Bruce found this amusing.
She knows that Bruce can handle himself but that doesn't mean he has to. If she can do it for him, then she would!
Once, she mistakenly called her dad out of office hours and Bruce had a permanent grin for the rest of the week.
Bruce invited her often for family dinners, which elates Dick because he would make sure to rope her to hang out with him as often as he could, sometimes Marinette would join him in his sitting area quietly gossiping or hearing each other's stories.
She became fast friends with Alfred and would often team up to bully Bruce to take care of himself more. They would inform one another when Bruce is skipping dinners and take turns scolding Bruce.
She ropes Bruce into taking yoga classes and even asked him to garden with her. It became a weekend father-daughter bonding time. Bruce is especially proud of his zucchini and tomato garden. She even helps Bruce with gift shopping for his kids and helps arrange a private family time for him as well. As usual, he would extend the invitation to Mari and sometimes she joins.
When Mari gets very sleepy during winter, he became full-on dad mode. Worrying his daughter secretary every time he noticed how sluggish she became during the cold weather. When Mari unexpectedly hibernates, he panics. ohnomydaughtersuddenlystopsrespondingandbecamereallycoldwhatshouldido???
When Bruce finally realizes that he had been unofficially adopted by Marinette Jason teases him nonstop. When Dick and Marinette start dating, he is elated. When they got engaged he is stoked. When Marinette asked for him to walk her down the aisle, he tears up. When they give him his first grandchild, he cries again.

Mob!Bay April Au
Greetings from the woods!
I got asked by @spacelaceboy (thank you so much) how April fits in the Mob!AU and, I have to say, that's actually a pretty good question since I haven't really written much about her, BUT I am going to fix this IMMEDIATELY because my girl here needs a whole post of her own. (might or might not contain traces of Casey Jones too?)
so, April
as I said, Splinter used to be her pet when she was a child and she absolutely adored him.
I believe that, at the beginning, she wanted to become a scientist like her father but, once the fire in the lab and (lowkey) all the experiments that she had seen her father do to her poor pets (yes, she considered the four little turtles her pets as well, even though their eggs had been hatched in the lab), she decided against it.
Fast forward to her life as an adult,
April is a journalist, but she hasn't been able to prove herself to the media yet, and she is surrounded by sexist men who enjoy to bring her down way too much for her liking.
She was working on some research about the movements of the Foot Clan when she got wind of this new criminal clan rising, a certain Hamato Clan that was becoming more and more famous and that seemed to have been born out of nothing.
And of course Miss O'Neal, being her curious and nosy self, started to dig deeper into the case
Now, she is an amazing journalist and a very clever woman but she has the tendency to act impulsively and recklessly,
Long story short, she found herself witnessing a sort of weaponry exchange by the docks, and guess who was there
Raphael.
Now, she didn't know it was him (for obvious reasons), but seeing a huge turtle speaking russian with some men by the docks and assessing the weaponry that he was given, it sure was a peculiar sight to witness.
She waited to the side until the deal was concluded and then she followed Raphael and his men.
She saw him get inside a red sport car and she followed with her bike until she spotted the car again outside a quite known betting-house.
She got in, but to welcome her wasn't Raphael,
It was Donatello.
And of course the turtle recognised her, he had seen her on tv, after all.
The first thought he had was that this girl was a journalist sent to find proofs of the criminal business and he couldn't let her walk away after what she could or couldn't have witnessed,
So, he knocked her out and brought her to his little playhouse, where he kept all his precious toys.
Now, the idea was to interrogate her until she told him everythign, but, as mentioned in the previous post, nothing happens without Leonardo's say so.
And at the time Splinter was still alive, so Donnie had to ask him before taking any action
The old rat was MAD once he recieved the call and ordered his son to bring April to his office
And once there, Splinter apologised to her and told her all the story
The girl was too stunned to speak.
eventually she came to terms with it.
Now, (yes, I'm not over, sit back down)
A lot of people would believe that after what happened she wouldn't want to be involved with the whole criminal organisation, at all...
well, I don't.
April Is way too good at finding information and she has the advantage of being difficult to spot because she's human.
And even though Splinter would have preferred to ship her away to some island far away to keep her safe and avoid her involvement, he just couldn't help it,
because April was an adult and she had power and will to do anything she wanted
(and because she can't keep still for the love of her)
It took a while, but eventually she started working for the Clan.
It started very slow,
maybe she would sometimes ask Leo if there was anything she could do to help him or his brothers, but he would always refuse because he, like splinter, didn't feel like put her in situations that might get her in danger... not when she had a normal life to live, differently from them, who didn't have the luxury of a choice.
But she kept asking again,
and again,
and again, not just to him but to all his brothers too
In the end Leo thought that it couldn't be too dangerous for her to pass over some information from the police, also because, according to what they knew, she was currently seeing a certain detective, and she could get some intel from him.
Our girl did much more than that
She not only managed to gather some incredibly helpful information, but she also managed to bring her boyfriend, Casey Jones, to work for the clan so that he could pass the information directly into the higher ups of the criminal organisation.
Everyone was impressed, and even though Splinter didn't want to admit it, he found April to be quite a valuable asset.
So, even though a bit reluctantly on the old rat's side, April started to work for the organisation officially.
She has took a role under Raphael, mostly doing spying work or taking care of accounting and financial stuff that he wasn't very good at or didn't care of doing.
She unofficially also reports to Donnie from time to time if needed.
Splinter basically adopted her (unofficially), and has ever since referred to her as the daughter he never had, and made sure to reserve a quite impotant spot for her in his will.
Speaking of which, saying that April was heartbroken by Splinter's murder is an understatemrnt.
She was hurt and furious. the literal embodyment of women's rage, and had it been for her she would have walked right into the Foot's Headquarters and started a literal massacre,
but Leo stopped her in time to prevent a literal slaughter that would have brought the two clans to begin a war that everyone in the political world wanted to avoid.
But from that moment on April has been much more ruthless and colder than before.
Also, I dont think people mention it enough, but she's older than all four turtles, which she considers her brothers
Again, being fiercely loyal and devoted to both Splinter's legacy and her found family makes her extremely dangerous in the business, as well as a valuable asset that everyone respects and fear.
She's THE scary dog priviledge of the whole Clan
Which says a lot since she is surrounded by four mutant turtles, but somehow she's the scary one.
Oh and she also is very close with Raphael's girlfriend and his daughter.
April literally adores the little girl and has taken her job as badass aunt pretty seriously.
Overall she is just very protective of everyone in the Clan and she will defend the boys with body, mind and soul
But she can and will make sure they understand when they have made a mistake and will make them do anything in their power to fix it.
As mentioned, oldest sibling behaviour.

They’re comfy. They last for years and years. They don’t require dry-cleaning or any other kind of special treatment. They’re perfect for a number of occasions, from a trip to the grocery store, to a walk in the park, to an evening at the pub, to a number of even semi-formal social occasions. They’re incredibly versatile, meaning they look good with pretty much everything, from t-shirts to smart blazers. In fact, you can’t imagine life without them at all.
What are we talking about? Jeans, of course! This iconic garment is more than deserving of it own holiday, as is Mr. Levi Strauss, a man without whom jeans as we know them might not exist at all.

The History of Levi Strauss Day
Levi Strauss was a German-American businessman born in Bavaria on February 26th, 1829, who came to the United States with his family the mid-1800s when he was 18 years old. Strauss began as a dry goods wholesaler in San Francisco, California, where he sold various items such as clothing, bedding, bags and handkerchiefs to settlers, many of whom had arrived in California to take part in the gold rush. Needless to say, the hard physical labor required of the miners of the day and those building new railroads made it difficult for them to find clothing that would last for more than a few months without falling apart at the seams. One day in 1870, one of Strauss’ clients, a tailor named Jacob W. Davis was approached by a woman who needed a pair of exceptionally strong working pants for her husband, a woodcutter. Her request prompted Davis to make a pair of pants from the denim he’d bought at Strauss’ shop that he then strengthened with copper rivets to reinforce the stitching. Word of the new article of clothing and its endurance spread fast, and soon Davis was not able to keep up with the demand for his invention, nor did he have the resources to open a larger tailor shop or obtain a patent. Falling further and further behind and afraid someone else would steal his idea, Davis decided to ask for Strauss’ financial backing in the filing of a patent application. Strauss agreed, the patent was issued, the two men became business partners, and Levi Strauss & Co was born.
How to Celebrate Levi Strauss Day
Levi Strauss’ story is considered to be the quintessence of the “American Dream”, a belief that all men and women were created equal and that hard work, ambition and creativity are all that is needed to become successful, both financially and otherwise. Levi Strauss’ family was anything but wealthy, with his father making just enough money as a peddler to keep the family afloat until he died of tuberculosis, a tragedy that plunged the Strauss family into poverty. Regardless of any and all setbacks, however, Levi Strauss managed to make an enormous amount of money. Strauss was not the stereotype of a stingy, rich miser, however–far from it. Throughout his life, he made numerous donations to various orphanages and other charity organizations. That’s why a great way to celebrate this day would be to read the biography of Levi Strauss or any other man or woman who has achieved success through hard work and dedication, and then used his or her money and influences to help others.

Jayn’s mother, Dahlia, was a scientist for WayneTech, working on a superhero serum when she got pregnant by her then-secret-boyfriend Bruce Wayne. Being around the serum altered Jayn’s DNA in utero, granting her hydrokinesis at puberty. Hunted by CADMUS and others, Dahlia sent Jayn on a plane to meet her dad, Bruce, in Gotham. Dahlia was snatched up by Men in Black on the airfield, and she would disappear altogether. Jayn and Bruce would go on to have a difficult relationship; he’d apprentice her as his sidekick Kestrel until she’d choose to become Frostbite. (That typically happens after Jason Todd dies at 15, since she bonded with him over the few years they had spent living in the Manor together.) She then trained with Deathstroke to learn to kill (& had a consensual underage relationship w/him) until she decided to be her own hero instead of an assassin. She returned to Gotham years later at the age of 24, determined to do things her way--not Bruce's.
Powers/Abilities:
Hydrokinesis: by the time she's an adult, Jayn's degree of control is so great that she can force water through phase shifts within seconds. For example, she can make the water vapor around her go from a gas to a solid or liquid, producing a protective barrier. She also can easily direct water to fill a cup or to blast open a door. In emergencies, she's enhanced her jumping by propelling herself through the air using the vapor around her. Though she reserves it for more serious occasions, she can seize control of living creatures by manipulating the water within their blood and/or organs.
Olympic-Level Swimming: before she began training with her father or using her powers, Jayn was on track to perform at the Junior Olympics. She's naturally a fast swimmer who can hold her breath for about as long as a free diver can.
Unarmed Combat: After being trained by Batman (and later Slade Wilson), Jayn is a master of her fighting style, a combination of judo, Muay Thai & Krav Maga. Catwoman taught her to fight in heels & Diana Prince gave her basic instruction with a sword. Jayn once used Batarangs as Batman's sidekick, but she switched to throwing knives (and sometimes shards of glass or ice).
Gymnastics: she's undergone the training that any (former) sidekick of Batman, which includes parkour. However, she notes that she's much less graceful and agile than some of her vigilante peers, partly because she had lived a regular middle-class life and started puberty before training.

Weaknesses:
Emotions: though she has been trained to visually conceal her emotions, especially her negative ones, Jayn has always been passionate. While this can be motivational in the moment, she sometimes acts violently to the point of pursuing vengeance for a decade (wanting to punish those responsible for Jason's death and her mother's disappearance, for example). It can also make her lose control of her powers, typically in the form of the temperature suddenly dropping when she's angry, or a storm forming when she's sad (which is actually environmentally dangerous). In a case of extreme fear, like that which might be caused by magic or a strong dose of Scarecrow's fear gas, she may be unable to use her powers at all.
Human Condition: Jayn isn't superhuman in any way, save for her hydrokinesis. Therefore, she can drown, suffocate, die of blood loss, burn, etc. She can try to slow down her own blood loss, but depending on the severity of her wounds, the strain may do her more harm than good.

Reviewing Star Trek TNG - S3E8 "The Price”
God almighty, it feels good to be back!
A lot's happened since I took my little hiatus - I got a shit-ton of work done, did some writing, found out I was aro-ace, and we finally got Paramount+ over in the UK.
I can't thank you all enough for your patience. Now, let's get back to work...
THE PREMISE
The Enterprise is hosting a gathering of interplanetary dignitaries (try saying that five times fast) who are negotiating for the rights to a stable wormhole discovered by the Barzans which could serve as a valuable shortcut to the Gamma Quadrant.
Overwhelmed by her duties as ship's counsellor, Troi meets one of the negotiators, Devinoni Ral (played by Matt McCoy), and they quickly become enamoured with each other. However, as the negotiations reach a boiling point, suspicions begin to arise about Ral's legitimacy, and whether or not the wormhole is too good to be true.
MY REVIEW
Ah, another Troi-centred episode in which Troi gets the short end of the stick as a character.
Her romance with Ral moves way too fast for my liking, beginning with him entering her quarters without her permission, violating her personal space, caressing her hair and practically inviting himself to dinner later that night, during which he kisses her in a manner which doesn't look very consensual.
Ral: Am I moving too fast for you?
Troi: No... I'm moving too fast for me.
Ral: I like that better.
And here I thought the only Shades of Grey I'd see in Star Trek was a godawful clip show...
However, it is revealed that Ral is actually part empath, and uses these skills to his advantage in negotiations by keeping it a secret. To his credit, we do get to see his skills as a businessman, but it's difficult to take him seriously when we go from him making skilful negotiations to him rubbing Troi's feet.
When Troi confronts him over using his abilities to get a leg up in the dealing process, he tries to justify it by claiming that Troi uses her powers for equally selfish reasons and then leaves like she was in the wrong!
Ral: Now, it's a matter of life and death when you take the advantage. Me, I deal in property, exchanges. Nobody gets hurt. So you tell me: which one of us would you say has more of a problem with ethics?
I'd say the guy who's using his empath abilities to cheat his way into a business deal, asshat!
At least he gets a good scene with Riker to put him in his place. The last time I encountered a side character I despise as much as Ral, he was brought back in a later episode and violently murdered in spectacular fashion. The chances of that happening again are slim, but a guy can dream.
Anyway, the Ferengi invite themselves to the proceedings, and their appearance in this episode begins their transformation from bumbling villains into shrewd businessmen, with much more toned-down performances compared to the snarling and hissing we're used to.
Unsurprisingly, they're also quick to engage in sabotage, incapacitating the Federation representative and leaving Riker to take his place. It seems at this point they were starting to get a better grasp of how to utilise the Ferengi in their storylines.
Riker recommends that they check to see if the wormhole is truly stable, so Data, Geordi and two of the Ferengi take separate shuttles, head through the wormhole... and emerge in the Delta Quadrant.
We then see Troi meeting up with Dr Crusher for their daily yoga (which is apparently a thing) and stretch in skin-tight leotards while talking about men and how Troi is so much more limber today in a scene which I'm sure someone on the production team would insist is very important to the plot.
Sorry, did that scene feel out of place? Jarring, even? Well that's how it's edited in the episode!
Back on the shuttles, Data and Geordi realise that the other end of the wormhole is unstable, and they head back through after failing to persuade the Ferengi to do the same. The exit to the wormhole collapses, and the Ferengi are left stranded over 70,000 lightyears from their ship.
Hmm... a starship crew flung into the Delta Quadrant by forces beyond their control with no means of getting home? Sounds familiar...
As the negotiations draw to a close with Ral seemingly securing a victory, Troi thankfully realises that what Ral told her was a bunch of manipulative bullshit and outs him both as a partial empath and a secret collaborator with the Ferengi!
Data and Troi return, reporting that while their end of the wormhole is stable, the other end constantly shifts places and eventually the wormhole will collapse entirely.
As the Ferengi presumably go to retrieve their lost crewmates (although with an 80-year trip, I doubt it), Ral is left with a worthless wormhole for his troubles. He goes to see Troi one more time (asking permission to enter this time, so at least he's making some progress), spouts some faux-romantic (fauxmantic?) bullshit about realising that he needs to change, and Troi tells him very politely to fuck off.
5/10 - Troi deserves better.
As glad as I am to be back, I wish there'd been a better episode waiting for me.

Chapter 3: The Misadventures of Ghost and Thurman.
Marc plays phantom 3rd wheel.
Marc Spector did sign up for this, in more ways than one. All his decisions were his own. He’d even influenced Steven’s desire to get a goldfish once he’d seen the little disabled fella swimming alone, seventy five percent off. It started a few years ago when you’d both been given the same instructions because the two of you just so happened to be there at the same time. Marc took note of the way you closed your eyes slowly and sighed but you didn’t say anything so neither did he. Not like he could argue with the boss man anyways, he’d end up “instructions” too. You didn’t look like you belonged here to him, not because you’re a woman or anything, he considers himself a feminist, all genders can be mercenaries. You just don’t have the same sullen face as anyone else he’s ever seen here. You look like you could’ve just wandered in here unassuming and looking for a drink, not getting an assignment to go off someone or steal something. The two of you leave after getting the most vague instructions of your life “kill Ian Heisner and bring me his phone” you had been handed a photo with an address on the back. He briefly wondered why you were handed the photo and not him but pushes it away whenever you looked at him and tipped your head towards a black Volkswagen Phaeton. From the outside it looked unassuming, boring even but once he opened the door he started to notice little things you’d left in there. “Yeah, I heard the guy at the door call you Spector. Sounds fake, so I figured I’d make it cooler for you.” You give him a quick glance and a smile, he’s used to seeing smiles from shop workers or a few stray women out and about but never someone who’s about to go do this job. He relaxes a little and returns your smile with a half assed grin.
“It’s my last name. I’ll take Ghost though, it is cooler.”
The two of you had ended up working together a few more times before he’d settled on what to call you. He hadn’t wanted to get too close to you, normally if he worked with anyone else at all (besides the god he found himself tethered to) there wasn’t time for names or anything other than finishing the job but the two of you had ended up becoming spies for some guy who wanted intel on a tech nerd that quite honestly could’ve been carried out by one person. He was happy to see you again, the job still carried a heavy weight but it was easier to shoulder with someone who helped you hold it. The two of you ended up backed into a corner, mission no longer boring, when about a dozen men had been sent to kill the both of you for what you’d found out. You’d just finally made your way into the guys basement to get copies of his work onto a thumb drive when from every angle but up, assholes dressed in all black surrounded you. He was still trying to learn to live with a towering skeletal god yelling at him so you’d started fighting before he could. It was difficult to say the least, neither of you were getting very far when he watched as you jumped onto a desk and grabbed a decorative katana hanging on the wall and when he could manage, he would catch glances of you while you worked. He had done incredible things with Khonshu at his side, but you- you were doing this on your own. He could summon the suit, make this easy on you both but that would run the risk of you never working with him again or even telling someone about his capabilities. He doubts it, you’ve known his real name for a while now because of some cosmic fuck up but you still called him Ghost as if you hadn’t seen his entire legal name on a sheet of paper carelessly left out. He’s about to give in, let Khonshu command him again and dawn his ceremonial armor so he can power through the last two men in front of him whenever their heads just.. fall off. After looking up from the crumpled bodies, he sees you. Katana still in hand, trying to catch your breath with eyes wide.
“Atta fuckin’ girl, Thurman!” He manages to chuckle after a second. You bow in front of him and raise your arms as if you’ve just finished on Broadway. On your way back to your car, you whistle the Kill Bill theme and he shakes his head.
Marc is trying hard not to take over the body and shove you into that damn fountain or maybe just shake the hell out of you a little. You must have lost your damn mind somewhere at that airport. Sitting there, shooting the breeze with Steven like an idiot. Like a traitor. He should have never answered any of your questions about Steven, he knew you well enough to know you wouldn’t leave it the hell alone. He should’ve known you’d pull something like this. What he wouldn’t give to be a poltergeist, able to yank the both of you into this damn water he’s reflecting in. If anything, he thinks Steven should have been smart enough to run like hell from you after what the two of you went through in those mountains. Luckily and not though, Steven thinks he’d been dreaming. As long as the two of you part ways after this, it can still be alright. Steven will go back to his fish and his plushies and you’ll go back to work with him. You’ll part ways again and come back together for the next adventure one of you ropes the other in on. You weren’t supposed to meet Steven, the better half of what remains of himself, the undeniable evidence that he’s not right in the head. He’ll never admit that continuing to work with you after coming back from the brink of death was a bad idea, after that night in Egypt went to shit and he failed on every level to keep himself together. He almost pursued that poor girl whose father's death he was partly responsible for. He mentioned it to you when you’d called to ask where he was. You, in no uncertain terms, told him how fucked that would be. Ever the voice of reason, you. Unknowingly, you kept him from spiraling down a rabbit hole he was still just barely holding to the sides of. You. His friend.
His mind wanders again, back to the first time he realized that you were friends and not just good at working together. After a mission completed, covered in blood, bone tired and starving, you’d taken him back to your house. Not just where you were staying. Your house, where you lived whenever you weren’t off doing business for men whose name you’d never know. Your house where there were pictures of you as a child, pictures of a grandmother, achievements and trophies lining your walls. He deliberately ignored anything that held your name, you weren't that person for him. You are Thurman. A big orange cat that didn’t seem to mind that he didn’t belong there, like you, the cat had immediately made him feel like he fell in line, like instead of being new, he was simply coming back. He remembers how he’d stood in the middle of your living room, silently taking in every detail about you. You should have been afraid that he’d learn too much about you, you weren’t. Who would he tell? Anyone after you would almost certainly be after him too. He’d finished his shower in your guest bathroom long before you had, he remembers the way you hummed while you were in there. It made him smile, you made him smile. His favorite part of that night had been you googling on your phone relentlessly. He didn’t know what at first but when he’d gotten a peak, he realized you were trying to find out what to feed him, like some exotic pet you brought home.
“I noticed your necklace.” The heat from your cheek radiated against his arm from his place behind you. “I was going to make food but.. It hurt him, that you openly asked Steven about himself. It hurt worse that Steven answered you, he hadn't even hesitated to tell you anything you wanted. He didn’t fault him for that though, he knew exactly what it was like to want to pour his heart out to you, lay himself out for you like a book to analyze. So I've noticed that Red Rain and DTC are the movies being removed on September 20, so I will definitely watch those movies before then. The three original movies aren't being removed yet, and I also haven't seen the Worst crossover movies being removed either. I don't think.

Exactly! If I'm being completely honest.. I'm not a fast reader, and I've never been a fast reader at all. I can comprehend the visuals of shows and movies but not always subtitles because sometimes the subtitles appear to quickly. So sometimes I might have to rewind some scenes if I could barely pay attention to the visuals and subtitles, which really cause the site to freeze up on me while I'm trying to watch the show.

Murayama definitely needed to become humble in his developments, so it took him long enough for him to understand himself better.

Despite just about every guy being a himbo. Out of the SWORD men, I still think Rocky's the smartest leader for the most time. Or Smoky.

Just this himbo. But it got ruined because she showed up at a very inconvenient time in Murayama's life. Because he was going through a midlife crisis.
Exactly! You're complaining about Smoky being a poor man living in Nameless City, while complaining about him needing a hospital since his illness his killing him. He's dying. So how is he supposed to get all this money to attend a hospital anyway. His sister and friends worked for Kuryu in secret (Lara was manipulated unknowingly), but Smoky's rejected the money after he found out that was belonged to a yakuza group. I don't blame his choices. But people complaining about how a lot of his life choices are like those are his fault. Have compassion.
Hyuga family was one of the original families in the yakuza. They have done horrific crimes way worse than any other criminals which is why everyone knows Hyuga's violent. He fights, he's killed and who knows what other crimes he committed in his young life. Oh! I know. He also owns his own gambling business. And he smokes. And was in prison. But you're gonna complain that he sits on the hood of his car, yet you see Murayama sitting on the hood of a garbage truck. Literally.
This is why Ichigo Girls are single. I'm happy Naomi isn't officially one of them because she'll catch their stupid. Their stupid is contagious.

I know you don't want to read Chimknj's High&Low for your personal reasons. But, if you're willing, only read the second chapter where the main character meets the White Rascals. I might have a vague idea for introductions. Like I said before.. Blue and orange character are childhood friends, orange character is also most likely childhood friends with Sannoh - which is how any original characters I have meet them. They'll be introduced at Itokan dinner.
Obviously Rocky has Club Heaven. So maybe the original characters get introduced there most likely. Like the other original characters do end up dragging the main original character along with them, they do somehow meet there. I don't know. I'm still figuring that one out now.
Oya, Rude and Daruma.. I don't know yet.
I think this is also why I wanted multiple original characters. Just so I can have in between characters to help introductions along with a lot of other characters. And also because not many female characters.

i think he's just like that. fighty boy. nothing even tragic happened, he was just born like that. born to kick some ass and be chaotic. it should really be no surprise that murayama and cobra get along (and also kinda clash), since cobra was also a fighty ass kid.
todoroki woulda ended like kohaku if he'd kept his glasses on. though i will admit he looked kinda cool with the eyepatch. maybe murayama was still a little punked up after the big sword fight that he was a little more brutal than usual while fighting todoroki. i think it's sweet tho that a bunch of the full-time oya boys were like 'we'll wait until you're healed to fight you <3', as if he didn't still have a good chance of winning even with his injury.

i think that'd be interesting. seeing what he did between running away as a kid and meeting kizzy and kaito. i bet he was a fighty teenager too, but he at least had a reason after having such a traumatizing childhood. depending on how long doubt's been around, i bet he's been fighting them a while. i'd also like to see how he met koo.
i just think cosette and marco are cute. and h&l didn't develop them any, so i can do what i want with them. i've also seen people shipping lassie and ungyo (from the daruma babies) and i could get behind that. h&l, you gave me these babies and then gave them zero development, so i'm making them kiss.

rocky and smokey (and eventually takeshi) are the only non-himbo members. cobra, murayama and hyuga are himbo-ing it up. on the himbo venn diagram, rocky is a 'gentle giant' and smokey is just firmly situated in being a kind dude. admittedly tak is kind of a jock, he's street-smart, tough, and nice to women but he's also bitchy, i just know it.

oshiage the kind of girl to be defending her crush before even telling her friends who he is. she like 'guys please, just wait, let me explain!' and they're already going 'the 20 year old who's still in high school? that's your man, oshiage? look at him!!'. he's a good dude! he was just also having a quarterlife crisis at the time and he's just a lil bit dumb as hell!
all the nameless city kids are doing everything they possibly can to help smokey! shion knows it's bad to be dealing drugs, but he cares about smokey so much that's he's willing to put his morals aside if it means smokey can get some help. iirc takeshi and p are down in the mines digging up those crystal to sell so they can make money. lala's taking jobs even if she doesn't fully understand what she's doing (but i also assume she knew she'd be safe in club heaven since rocky's whole infamy surrounds him protecting women).
hyuga acts like a little bitch every day of his life and does crimes without a care and smokes. but yes. his worst crime. riding on the hood of his car like it isn't actually kinda hot to see him all splayed out like that. ladies please, he broke a dude's arm like it was fun.
ichigo girls get better taste. naomi, please go hook up with yamato and stay away from them, they're gonna try to convince you he's some big dumb idiot like it isn't part of his charm.

i gave it a quick skim. i don't think it'd be too bad to go with your idea so long as you're writing it differently; especially if you're only shipping your oc with rocky and not all the leaders. i don't think it'd be much of a problem so long as it's not exactly the same, like so long as she's not also a courier, acts in a different manner. maybe switching kizzy+kaito out with koo or something. i think you could figure out a way to make it not completely similar.
with ryuko, i imagine her getting bounced around the gang like a game of pass-the-parcelperson while kuryu is in the sword district looking for her and that's how she gets to actually know a lot of the characters on a deeper level; but the actual first introduction to the leaders is what i'm struggling to decide on. i've got a few ideas.
with hinami (the takeshi oc), she probably just joins the rude boys a meetings. probably draws some attention as the only female rude boys member, since lala is usually kept out of it. also adds a bit of a plot point of tak being pouty and jealous bc dudes are hitting on nami while the leaders talk. i imagine she's closer with the group members as opposed to the leaders (especially the daruma babies and smg bc kizzy+kaito are def closer to ryuko).

i'm just bad at figuring it out because sometimes they overlap too much and i can't decide. i just more make 'text' sections in their pinterest boards to be like 'this is their personality vibe'. i have a clear understanding of what they're like in my head, but i can't look at all those personality types without getting overwhelmed.

i've been meaning to watch bloodhounds!! i meant to start it after finishing the tokyo revengers anime and the little women kdrama (kim go eun and wi ha joon my dearests), but then i got caught up in this whole h&l thing and haven't gotten back around to it! it looks very good and the main two boys are very pretty.

I pictured a house full of children, family holidays filled with laughter and traditions, photo albums filled with school pictures, family vacations, and momentous events. This desire influenced where I chose to attend college and how I built a career. I didn’t want anything to get in the way of my dreams of family. Which is in large part why finding out I had cancer while I still had young children at home wrecked me. I looked at my children and couldn’t bear the thought of missing out on their lives.
What pained me the most, though, was the very real possibility that I could die, and then someone else would take my place as my children’s mother. I didn’t want anyone else to play wife to my husband or mom to my children. That was my job. And the fact that I might not be around to fulfill it haunted me. As a result, I tried to hang on to them more tightly. Of course, the tighter you cling to people, the more they resent it. What felt like love to me felt like a stranglehold to them.
This is often the case with more than just people. Try to grasp love, and you’ll lose it. Reach for affirmation and attention, and they will remain elusive. Try to seek financial success, and you’ll miss out on it. Hold it all loosely, though, and you just might find what you were looking for.
In 1857, a twenty-year-old businessman surrendered to God. Although not rich by human standards, he had a solid head for business and desired success. But on his twentieth birthday, he came to a deep awareness of God’s reality and determined to surrender it all to Him, including his dreams of personal and financial success.

To Thee I leave the management of all events and desire that Thou enable me to say, without reserve, not my will but Thine be done. Knowing that Thou governed all things wisely and will ever do that which is best for me.”1 This is only a small section of the covenant he penned. But it provides a glimpse of his relinquishment of those things he would, otherwise, be tempted to cling to.
Fast-forward more than a hundred and fifty years and Thomas’s covenantal prayer has multiplied into the Maclellan Foundation and more than $600 million in total donations.
