(I hope it's okay that I'm requesting something again! Also I swear I had such a hard time deciding on the prompt because there are so many good ones, I was wondering whether I should try to pick one that might be more fitting or "realistic" for Davy, but I'm soft for him and couldn't resist💕)

This is so fucking precious yes absolsutely, s o f t time incoming for the sad octopus man:

Davy Jones x Reader, 'Comforting Touches'

Davy's love language is, funnily enough, touch.

But Davy is also -emotionally- very very stupid and very very stubborn.

So he's going to basically breathe down your neck when you're upset, and let his inner feelings duke it out while avoiding eye contact as hard as possible.

He knows exactly what he should do (hold you, stroke your hair, hide you under his coat) but he just can't make his arms mOVE-

When a crewmate steps around the corner and sees your tearstained face he literally snarls and barks for them to scarper back to work.

Amongst crying you let out a tiny giggle. His absent heart flip-flops in its chest.

"For someone cursed to be an octopus, you bark like a dog."

"...Seadog." he grumbles.

Once he's breached the touch barrier in his head, he's initiates it much more often in private.

Never with the crab claw, and with great pains not to touch you with the tentacle finger on his right hand, his favourite thing to do is stroke wisps of hair back from your forehead.

Once close however, his beard has a mind of its own.

Sometimes he catches it playing with your hair, stroking your face or wrapping idly around your neck without his input.

...to the point that when you move away it will try to cinch you tighter and sucker to your cheeks, much to Davy's unending mortification even when you laugh about your little sucker kisses later.

You have made peace with the slime. He hasn't been dry in 200 years.

For you to comfort him, the rules are slightly different.

Touch the crab claw, touch the crab claw~

No just generally touch him (in private pls), touch the monstrous parts of him without flinching, and do it often because he'll never ask.

Hug the sad man. Do it. He tastes like salt all the time, a little more needs no comment 🥲

I am deadly serious, stroke his cheeks, tangle your finders in his beard, boop his nonexistent nose and watch his eyebrows contort with confusion while you laugh.

FOREHEAD TOUCHES AAAAAAAAA-

I've noticed jkkers talking about Tae and Taekook so much despite nothing happening. They are definitely insecure. And they will have the silliest takes like Taekook can't be together because they have no sexual tension. First of all are you blind because there has been so many blatant moments of them being clearly attracted to eachother and secondly have they ever met a gay couple in real life because I'm pretty sure queer couples have normal relationships too that aren't just nonstop flirting and being horny for eachother 24/7.

You can call me delusional but as someone who is happily married, Taekook scream couple vibes to me, not because of grand gestures but the simple consistent things. It's the way Jungkook is considerate of Tae not being able to eat spicy food and cutting Tae's meat up into small pieces because he likes it that way. It's Jungkook saying he wants to be seen as cool and Tae always making a point to refer to him or what he does as cool, while Jungkook thinks Tae is the most handsome man he's ever seen and constantly compliments he's natural beauty. It's Tae thinking Jungkook has the best voice in Korea despite also being a singer, and Jungkook singing romantic songs for him. It's them having different taste in music yet having a shared playlist and sharing their music with eachother first. It's them having shared hobbies together that everyone knows is their thing like gaming, karaoke and film/photography. It's spending time together before and after work trips out of the country and knowing eachothers tastes, habits and schedules. I don't mind the fact we don't get as much Taekook content because it's so clear to me that whatever they share is something really special and is a relationship that is for them, that they try to keep separate from their jobs and I respect that.
