nct's sungchan x fem!reader (ok do u guys know that one vine where its in a party & a girl is vaping & a dude says “wow”? yeah, thats where i got my inspo from)

genre: fluff. pinning. non idol au. party!au (is that a thing?).

playlist: melodrama (the whole album) by lorde.

warnings: mentions of some of the nct dream members as well as some mentions of the loona members (not really a warning though). this is set before corona was a thing (pls dont do this now). it is set in a house party (with tension). mentions of drugs (weed), alcohol & smoking. mild swearing. making out perhaps? lower case intended.

a/n: this has been on my mind for awhile now & im really excited to put this out there! it also has more tension compared to the other works so yay :)) i also just wanna take a moment to thank the lovely @nct99 for helping me out with this plot & giving some prompts & ideas too?? :(( she is such a sweetheart & pls she is so talented too ugh im so glad we r mutuals & fellow lorde stans :(( give her love rn or else i will eat ur shower curtains (& nae i hope it was worth the wait! i wish i added more references tho lmaoo)

another graceless night and another house party. this time, it was chenle’s birthday. he is a friend of yours, known for having a huge mansion and known for throwing the best parties regardless of the occasion. come to think of it though, it could easily be the 7th one this week and it’s barely wednesday. the evening passes fast as golden rays already start to gently peek through the thin curtains of the tall windows near the living room, as bodies of wasters are sprawled all over the house.

you lean back on the couch further, a curtain of haze taking up your vision as you inhaled another hit of the fresh blunt. even with the sun rising, you still make most of what you can get before everyone (and everything) starts leaving. you never were a party person until your friends dragged you into it. since that day you found it to be a fun way to get rid of your problems and worries (even if it was just for a few hours). partying (as gross as it sounds) became a routine, even becoming its own cycle. you come, you leave and you have everything in between be a complete blur, maybe even staying completely jaded until the daylight returns. some nights it feels good to kiss and keep busy rather than face the constant harsh reality.

you turn your head to see sungchan, the back of his head resting on the top of the couch right next to you. his leather jacket rubbing against your bare arm. his eyes are closed showing off his long lashes and his pink lips are chapped and parted. he looks seraphic in this light.

to be honest, you didn’t know much about sungchan. all you knew was that he’s the new kid who started getting close with jisung barely a month ago. that led jisung to introduce him to the group and him getting welcomed in with open arms by everyone, except you. it’s not that you hate him or have anything against him, if anything he seems like the most charming people out there. you just have trouble opening up to new people especially when you’re already so comfortable with the others (which he could kind of guess already). but since he joined, he was also dragged into the party scene and often played the role as the designated driver and part-time babysitter (a role that he takes seriously along with jeno). it isn’t an uncommon occurrence for him to be seen wrestling the bottle of gin away from hyejoo, strapping in renjun’s seat belt for him, cleaning up yerim’s vomit or carrying an unconscious donghyuck over his shoulder. come to think of it, he fits in just fine. you have often found yourself near him during parties. just kicking back and sitting in a comfortable silence with you drinking and smoking from time to time. he is the one that notices when you’ve had enough and wanted to leave. maybe you’re more alike than you think?

“feeling good?” he asks, smelling the fresh smoke. he turns his head to you and opens one of his eyes.

you only nod and sigh, turning your head back to the ceiling. waves of calmness hit your head, forcing every burden out. you were about to offer him a hit but you remembered that he would only reject it. but you take another for yourself and he can only stare, completely enamored. we watches the smoke escape your lips in slow.

the thing is, he always had some sort of thing for you. a crush? a person he found cool and therefore admired? a person who he found so damn gorgeous all the time? god knows. all he knew was that there was something in you that was so addictive. on the nights where he’d stay sober, he’d watch you sit by his side, quietly drinking up your little movements and habits. even if he hates the taste of alcohol or the smell of gasoline, he loved how your teeth would close around the liquor-wet lime slices that would sit on the side of your cup and how your smoke always finds a way to leave him stained. he would constantly be falling into this fixation of you. you are etched into his mind as the embodiment of perfection even if you have multiple flaws just like he does. his mind constantly lays restless during the most ungodly hours while all of his dreams show you and him in different dimensions. it hurts him to violently like you like this but how can he not resist when the heartache came from you?

“sungchan,” you quietly call out, turning your head back to him, only to see him already staring.

“hm?” he takes one of your hands, in case you wanted to get up and couldn’t walk.

“may i try something?” you ask him, curiously with your hooded eyes barely holding on to consciousness.

“what is it?” he sits up, trying to help.

you gently push him back into the couch and straddle his hips. his eyes slightly widen and his cheeks turn a rosy red.

“ah, y/n, you’re fucking high.” he warns, stroking your hair and leaning further back.

you only giggle. your finger lifts his chin up, making him look directly at you. his shaky eyes are too irresistible.

“tell me when you wanna stop.”

you take the blunt, inhaling deeply. he continues to hold you, admiring the view while he’s at it.

you then gently pulled him closer by the neck (quite slowly incase he wanted to oppose) to leave an open-mouthed kiss on his plum lips to transfer the smoke into his mouth. he does not fight the feeling, how can he when your lips are the softest thing he has ever felt? the smoke began to seep through as he started to move his lips, eliciting a groan from you. is this what euphoria feels like? his grip on your waist tightens as your arms wrap around his neck, prompting him to go further.

sungchan, almost breathless pulls on your bottom lip, bruising them to then pull away to work at your neck, licking and leaving kisses all over. butterflies filled your stomach for the first time in awhile. you never felt this way towards another person in too long. is it love or desperation? you watch the smoke flow away so gracefully around your bodies, despite what just happened. sungchan pulls away and looks at you, his eyes holding the world. you pray that you didn’t frighten him away.

“you do not know how long i’ve been wanting to do that,” he whispers, his forehead against yours. you smile in return, pulling away to place a small kiss on his jaw which clenches from the sudden contact. you rest your head on his shoulder, closing your eyes as his head rests on yours and his cold hands trace patterns against the skin of your back.

“know i think you’re fucking awesome, right?” you hum, making him smile like an idiot.

“hm, no. but i think you should know that i think you’re really fucking awesome, right?” he says holding you tighter and gently swaying from side to side.

“you wanna leave here and get some mcdonalds or something?”

“ooo, what ever happened to the babysitter and designated driver, hm? so what, you plan to leave them here hungover and defenseless?”

“shut up, it’s already dawn. they can take an uber. i just wanna spend time with you right now.”

“alright.”

uhhh well first of all I think childe x zhongli is like the most pathetic and boring "default" pairing this fandom came up with. they have 0 chemistry and I just hate everything about it. as much as I headcanon both as queers... together romantically it feels like 2 straight men put together by ya*i fans............ also before i blacklisted to ship and voluntarily looked through the ship tag... every post felt like a hard ooc. i could not understand what childe or zhongli are supposed to be as individuals, what they have in common, what kind of dynamic they have. deadass most crack ships with 0 interactions have more flavor than this tragedy

eng VAs are great people and appreciate their work but whoever decides the voices ain't doing it right. every male character sounds like a middle-aged white man.. and most of the youngest characters sound like very obvious adults trying to pretend to be babies. all of it irks me so bad god.. and there are so many characters that lose their little spark in eng........ (yet in korean and chinese they're completely fine??)

all of the playable adult male characters are shitty people in one way or another. none of them are good. they have reasons and different perspectives, yes, but they suck. every single one of them. stop ignoring it or trying to say only some are evil. none of them are inherently terrible.. but they're not these precious and righteous individuals. they're men.................... that says a lot, actually. :\

and as for women? god i hate the idea that they're all so uninteresting and weak. lichrally just a bunch of girlbosses, morals of most could be questioned as well... anyways some of the girls not having extremely dramatic stories doesn't make them any less cool. let them be

also all archons suck it's ok. you can still love them while acknowledging that they've done some shit. First Formal Date

Erasermic Hizashi x Shouta

The 4th addition to my collection of the “firsts” in Hizashi and Shouta’s relationship. You can read it, and the rest of the story including their first kiss on Ao3.

“Dayyyyummmm Sho.” Hizashi smiled, leaning in the frame of his front door. “You look amazing!”

Shouta blushed and looked at the ground, running an embarrassed hand on the back of his neck.

“Why are you surprised? You picked this outfit out.”

“And DAMN do I have good taste” Hizashi let out a low whistle of appreciation and stepped forward to run his hands down the front of the deep plum colored dress shirt Shouta wore. He snapped the black suspenders that held up a pair of charcoal gray dress pants and giggled. “I told you these would look snazzy.”

“I feel ridiculous.” Shouta grumbled.

“But you look fantastic. And um…Im definitely going to need you to do your hair like that more.” Hizashi hoped his laugh covered the fact that his mouth was watering at the sight of Shouta in a nice clean ponytail. And Shouta WANTED to tell Hizashi that he would never see him in a ponytail again. It had taken him an embarrassing amount of time to wrangle his hair into something that would fit the formal setting they were heading to. But…if Hizashi kept looking at him like that he’d do it every damn day.

“You look nice.” Shouta said instead. Hizashi beamed. He really did. He was wearing a red dress shirt with a black vest, unbuttoned. Even in formal wear he looked so cool. Shouta experienced a watery mouth of his own when he took in how fucking fitted and tight Hizashi’s black dress pants were and he forced his eyes back up to the blondes face.

“Thanks babe.” Hizashi pretty much beamed, apparently pleased he was at least making Shouta feel the way Shouta was making HIM feel. Shouta blushed again, they had been dating for a few months now but Hizashi’s petnames still filled him with butterflies. Hizashi noticed this and his smile grew wider. He reached back behind the open front door to grab his keys and then stepped outside.

“Ok lets go before you spontaneously combust. Mom and Mimi are meeting us there.”

This wasn’t their FIRST date, not by a long shot. But after they kissed they hadn’t really changed their routine except they could hold hands while they out and cuddled and kissed when they stayed in. But tonight, Hizashi’s mom was receiving an award at an award banquet for her work and Hizashi had invited Shouta to come. It would be their first…formal date…as boyfriends.

Shouta didn’t really like the idea of going to banquet, but the idea of getting dressed up and getting to hang off of Hizashi’s arm all night appealed to him for some reason. It was like they were finally…official. Like the last few months hadn’t just been some random fling. Like Hizashi really did want Shouta just as much as Shouta wanted Hizashi.

And that Hizashi wasn’t embarrassed to be seen with him. He would never admit that was one of his fears.

They took the train downtown and then walked hand in hand a few short blocks to a banquet hall. They stepped inside to a cacophony of sounds and voices. Shouta flexed his hand nervously in Hizashi’s grip and cleared his throat.

“Ah don’t worry Sho. Its just a dinner!”

“Im not worried. It’s just…it’s a lot of people.” Shouta wished he had his capture scarf to hide behind, but the school didn’t let them take their equipment home yet.

“You’ve been in crowds before!” Hizashi said cheerfully, squeezing Shouta’s hand.

“Yeah when Im fighting. Not…not…I don’t like attention Zash.”

“Don’t worry babe. We’ll blend in.”

“Are you physically capable of blending in?”

“For you, I’ll try. Plus Mimi would probably kill me if I took attention away from mom. Its her night!”

True to his word, Hizashi seemed content to spend the evening tucked into a corner table with his mothers and Shouta. The only time he let himself be extra boisterous and loud was when his mom got called up to a small stage to receive her award. Tho, Shouta noted that his Mimi completely rivaled her son in terms of loud cheers for her wife. And he was surprised to find that he didn’t mind it at all because even when people looked their direction, they were so focused on the two loud crazy people that they hardly even registered him.

The rest of the night passed really pleasantly. The Yamada’s ate and laughed together, and Shouta felt like one of them. His knee was pressed securely against Hizashi’s under the table, the blondes hand occasionally brushed over his. They shared an abundance of smiles. Shouta could imagine lots of evenings like this. He liked it. It was nice.

Until one of Aoi Yamada’s coworkers came over to their table to visit them. She seemed like a nice woman, and older woman, obviously friends with Hizashi’s mom at work.

“Oh this must be Hizashi!” She said, reaching over the table to shake his hand.

“Hello!” Hizashi said cheerfully.

“You know your mother has told me so much about you! You are one of the few things she can talk about for longer than five minutes.” She giggled. Hizashi’s mom rolled her eyes and smiled.

“You are just every bit as handsome as Aoi said. You know whatever woman you end up with is going to be one lucky gal.” She cooed, not noticing the grimace that flashed over all four of the other table occupants faces.

“Oh…uh, no.” Hizashi forced a chuckle. “No lucky ladies for me.”

“Oh don’t say that dear. The women are going to be all over you if anything your mother has told me is true! YOu’ll have to beat them off with a stick.” She laughed again. And Hizashi looked REALLY uncomfortable and his mothers both seemed speechless.

“No he’s not.” Shouta said suddenly, surprising himself.

“You should have some faith in your friend young man-“

“Shouta’s not his friend Setsuko.” Hizashi’s mom said.

“He’s my boyfriend.” Hizashi said through gritted teeth. The woman’s face fell.

“Oh. Oh dear.” She stumbled, and they four waited for the apology that was sure to come next. And were instead shocked at what came out of her name next.

“Oh I was hoping you weren’t that way like your mom.” She said and then her hand flew up to her mouth as if she hadn’t meant to let that particular thought out.

“Setsuko!” Aoi Yamada breathed in disbelief.

“Excuseeeeee me?” Hizashi’s Mimi said. Shouta shrunk back into his chair and quickly pulled his hand away from where it rested near Hizashi’s. Hizashi noticed this and reached for it, tugging it roughly into his own.

“Well I am THAT way and if you don’t like it you can fuck off.” Hizashi hissed. He sat very straight in his chair and narrowed his eyes at the woman.

“Im…Im so-“

“Setsuko I think you should leave.” His mom said suddenly. The woman picked up her glass and walked away from the table awkwardly, very red in the face.

“Oh my god.” His mom sighed. “Im so sorry boys.”

Hizashi echoed her sigh and let his grip on Shouta’s hand relax, but kept it intertwined with his. He gave himself a few seconds to blink away his sudden rage and then slumped back.

“Ah it’s ok mom. Some people are just dumb sometimes.” He mumbled.

“She’s never…never even talked like that before. I mean, I have pictures of you and Shouta together hanging in my office. I can’t believe it.”

“It’s really ok mom, don’t worry about it. We…we’re just going to go take a walk ok? I’ll see you guys at home.” Hizashi stood and tugged Shouta up and out of the banquet hall. Shouta stumbled as Hizashi dragged him behind, stomping down the street.

“Hey! Slow down!” Shouta yanked his wrist away. Hizashi froze and looked back sheepishly.

“Oh. Sorry.”

“Are you ok?” Shouta said, rubbing his wrist. Hizashi sighed and stepped back into his space, gently picking Shouta’s hands back up.

“That was messed up. Im sorry.”

“Why are you sorry? That lady was stupid, like you said.” Shouta raised an eyebrow.

“Yea but she put a spotlight on us and I know you didn’t want attention and…Im sorry if she made you feel bad.” Hizashi stuck out his bottom lip.

“It’s ok. There’s always going to be people like that, we just won’t let them get to us. Your moms don’t.” Shouta smirked. “Also it was hard to feel bad when you calling me your boyfriend like that was so hot.”

Hizashi looked up at that, saw the look on Shouta’s face, and blushed.

“Can we…can we go get ice cream or something? I don’t want to remember this date ending like that.” Hizashi mumbled. Shouta leaned forward and pecked his cheek.

“I could go for some ice cream.”

They found a nice little dessert shop and split a giant strawberry milkshake. They looked a little out of place in their formal clothes but neither of them cared. When they were done Shouta asked Hizashi to give him his phone.

“What…why?” He said, but handed it over.

“Selfie.” Shouta said flatly. Hizashi’s eyes lit up, Shouta did not like selfies and never volunteered to take them. Shouta scooted around the booth to press against Hizashi, he leaned their heads together and raised his arm. He even smiled as he snapped a picture.

And then, when Hizashi started to pull away, Shouta used his free hand to reach around the blonde’s neck and pulled him into a kiss. Hizashi hummed and kissed back, before registering the sound of the camera going off. He pulled back.

“What was that for?”

“So your mom has something more….obvious to hang up.” Shouta said smirking.

which just so happened to pass the park where you were volunteering at

so as he scanned the people milling around the small fun fair, he caught sight of you plopped right in the middle of all these toddlers and five-year olds laughing and covered in glitter, glue, googly eyes and silly string

where the silly string came from, he doesn’t know

aND BOY DID HE TURN SOFT

kids were hanging off of you, walking up to you to ask how to make a certain craft, and you had the biggest smile on your face

jinjin and rocky decided to spare him and just looked at each other, made a face and continued walking

bin barked a high pitched laugh and ran after rockjin in giggles

as he’s unconsciously watching you, a soft smile spread across his features

and completely forgot about the incident during the gig that night

so he actually decided it would be better to choose a seat facing away from you

yet his friends took all those seats first and now he’s stuck with a seat giving him a completely full view of you

never removing his gaze from you

heat immediately rushed to sanha��s face and his friends burst out cackling

oh no

sanha tried to be subtle about it, but this boy can never really keep his emotions in check

poor sanha’s heart was always ready to burst whenever he’s with you now

but to make sure nothing changes this friendship the both of you treasure so much

especially shoving embarrassing moments to the back of your mind

because you two were still screaming about everything

prom rolls around

and you were asked by someone

as you studied the lights of the city

he just laughed and settled to standing next to you as you waited for your parents

What did you do for your last Birthday: I hung out at my mate’s place and drank gin and ate a delicious earl grey-flavored cake with “Happy fuckin’ Birthday aye” written on it in purple icing.
