What kind of comics does Eddie Munson read?

In the behind the scenes video showing the Munson trailer set, we see a specific issue of Heavy Metal magazine on Eddie's bedroom floor, beside his bed

I managed to find and purchase a copy of this issue

So let's take a look inside, see what kind of stuff is in the cover story!

Here's our heroine, Druuna, being forced to show her breasts by officials:

Here's superior lifeform mutant leader not really knowing or caring how to tell the difference between their daughters and their wives. Daughters and wives are possibly one and the same.

Just to show I'm not kidding about the superior lifeform bit:

The Mutant gets interrupted by a daughter/wife wanting to have some fun. Huge size difference, some "child-coding" you could say. Also, beneath that lower left black box is a penis. The Mutant has both breasts and a penis and testicles. I can't remember it right now but I'm pretty sure there's a specific term used for this in fandom stuff, and it's a controversial topic

Druuna engages in an exchange with a doctor to get medication. He uses some sort of unspecified device that seems to be painful:

I think it's good for your health to play in the fictional realm of something that disgusts you sometimes. It could be a ship, character dynamic, situation, the characters themselves, their beliefs, whatever. You don't have to share it or even tell anyone, it's just for you to experience, to sit with what you find to be truly grotesque and see how you feel and what it's like. I think it's a good exercise to do from time to time, enriches the soul, allows more texture in your life. You could come out of it feeling the same, you could come out of it learning something new, maybe it'll sit with you and you'll discover something about the experience weeks later. Disgust can be very informative and we assign so much shame to it when it can actually be quite valuable to go through and see what's on the other side for us. I promise it's okay and no one is getting hurt by this creative exercise as uncomfortable as it is. Go forth and play in the mud!

(please note: things that Disgust you, not Triggers you. If it triggers you probably steer clear of it or do this exercise with the guidance of a therapist)

unironically call an animal (or any living thing rly) "useless" because if it exists there is inherently use for it. thats how evolution works dumbass

the "dni freaks" thing is funny because it can mean literally everything on a spectrum between "dni if you are an actual pedophile" and "dni if you are ever horny or like fictional relationships with a height difference (power imbalance)". Just say what you MEAN
