The T7S Gang, and Color Theory.
A quick cheat sheet:
Tone: A pinkish undertone is cool toned. A yellowish one is warm toned. Neutral toned has aspects of both.
Contrast: High contrast is dark/bright hair and light skin, and/or particularly defined features. Low contrast is the opposite.
Donna: Cool toned, high contrast. Winter. Bob is also a winter, and Midge is a summer.
Eric: Cool toned, low contrast. Summer. Red, Kitty, and Laurie are all summers, too.
Fez: Warm toned, low contrast. Spring.
Hyde: Cool toned, low contrast. Summer. WB is a spring, and Edna is a neutral (aka, not applicable, see below). So it's a grandparent gene, most likely.
Jackie: Warm toned, high contrast. Autumn. Jack is a spring, and Pam is a winter. A perfect example of the mixing of genes. She's warm toned like her dad, but is high contrast like her mom.
Kelso: The only neutral toned one. Aka, he looks good in everything. *Groans*

Zachary Ian Kelso (Born February 15th, 1986.) A boy who’s trying so, so hard not to be his father…
Because Casey skipped out on his mom just a few weeks after his third birthday, and has done nothing of use for them since. In fact, the greatest thing his dad ever did for them was leaving.
Still, it’s hard to know his dad is a douchebag with a capital D. Who has made it clear he doesn’t at all want him in his life. And who everyone, all the time, says he looks so much alike. It’s a crushing weight when he thinks everyone, deep down, is waiting for the day he turns out just like dear old dad.
Zach is a naturally athletic kid, who throws himself into baseball to deal with the feelings that are brewing underneath the surface. His devoted mom, Mallory, does everything she can to give him the best life possible. Including working two jobs, even if that means her free-time is scarce. It’s okay! He gets it, and is more thane able to be self reliant by the time he turns fifteen. He even picks up a job at a local movie theatre to help pay the bills.
He’s gifted at math, too. Even if no-one ever really seems to see it. It’s sort of hard to focus on his all A’s in math when he’s close to flunking everything else. But Allison Forman notices, with sardonic wit and a bright smile. As she challenges him to do more, and to try harder. Because he’s way, way better than his dad just by being himself. So he’s bound to be a hundred times better with the right amount of effort.

Holy cow, you are going through these requests super fast. Woah! Also congrats on graduating. So am I. This isn't detailed at all but maybe a graduation fic with Hyde or Kelso. You can do whatever you want with it.
Proud of You (Steven Hyde X Reader)
Masterlist
Request Something!
Summary: Hyde never cared for school or big events that didn’t revolve around him getting wasted. But he always shows up for his favorite girl.
A/N: congrats on graduating to you too!! Also, reader is in Jackie’s grade. Also number 2, even though i write for hyde I DO NOT SUPPORT THE ACTOR!!! kk that’s all, hope you enjoy :) F/f means favorite flower
***
You loved your boyfriend; you really truly did. But part of you didn’t believe Hyde when he told you he would be in the front row of your high school graduation. He didn’t even show up to his own graduation! You expected him to forget and find him sitting in his chair in the Forman’s basement, watching some stupid show with the guys.
You still kept your hopes, though. Steven Hyde could always surprise you by showing that he cared. Besides, even if he didn’t come, your other friends would surely show up to see you and Jackie walk across the stage.
But as you sat in the overcrowded, echoey gym, all you could think about was making sure you didn’t miss your name being called by the class president. It was hard to focus with all the camera flashes and cheering families.
“Y/n L/n.” You stood up at the call of your name and moved through the chairs and up the stage. You heard cheers from the crowd of friends and families but couldn’t differentiate any of the voices. Grabbing your diploma and shaking the principal’s hand, you looked out to the audience. Unable to see anyone clearly, you shrugged and returned to your seat.
The ceremony felt like it went on forever. The names and claps seemed never-ending, but after God knows how long, caps were thrown, and you were released to meet with your families. Your family got to you before you could reach the bleachers. You were showered in affection, congratulations, and flowers.
So many flowers.
“Mom, you’re smothering me.” You laughed as your mom crushed you in her embrace and continuously kissed your cheeks.
“I don’t care. My baby graduated!” She took your face in her hands and peppered your forehead with more kisses. Your dad had to pull her off of you, whispering that you should go while you had a chance. As much as you loved your mother, you took that chance.
Speeding off, you looked all around to see if you could find any of your friends. It was an easy task; Kelso was a giant, so you were quick to find him smothering Jackie with affection while the rest of your friends surrounded them, clearly grossed out.
“Hey!” Donna spotted you first, bringing you into a hug before passing you around to everyone else. “We were starting to wonder where you were.”
“Mom got emotional.” You laughed as Eric patted your head, telling you, ‘Good job.’ Everyone else gave you the same sentiment, except for one. The one you were looking forward to the most. “Hey, where’s Hyde?”
“That’s weird,” Fez said, looking around the room. “He was just here.”
“Yeah, he’s around here somewhere.” Using his height advantage, Kelso searched through the crowd. His eyes lit up in recognition somewhere behind you, but he quickly turned around as if someone was telling him to look away. A few seconds later, you felt an arm around your shoulders, bringing your back to a familiar chest.
“Hey, Doll,” Hyde whispered in your ear, kissing the side of your head. “Congratulations.”
You squealed in delight, turning around in your boyfriend’s arm to hug and kiss him.
“I’m kind of surprised you’re here.” You looked down at the hand that wasn’t holding you. “With flowers.”
“Of course, I’m here, Y/n.” Hyde handed you the bouquet of F/f, making you thankful that you passed all the flowers you had already gotten to your dad before you ran off. His now free hand threaded through the hair at the back of your hair and brought you forward so he could kiss the top of your head. “I always show up for my girl.” You grinned.
“I’m so glad you came.”
“I’m proud of you, Doll.” Hyde leaned down to whisper into your ear. You could practically feel the smirk on his lips. “Maybe we should find an empty classroom so I can show you how proud I am.” You laughed, trying to ignore the heat rising in your face.
“Oh my gosh, shut up.”

A while ago I found a good deal on some That '70s Show scripts, and I impulsively bought them! See below for a detailed breakdown of what is different between the table read script and what actually aired.
Tumblr media
Next up: S2xE22 "Jackie Moves On" (note that it is episode 221 on the script 👀... production order vs airing order). There were a lot of changes/re-writes in this episode! See below for details.
Tumblr media
The Production Schedule for the week:
Tumblr media
(Just thought this ^ was fascinating!)
First difference: the entire cold open! I wonder why it was re-written. 🧐
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the episode that aired, the cold open starts with Eric and Donna entering the basement together, and the rest of the gang (except Jackie) is already there. They jump into the same conversation about how Jackie isn't doing well, but with different dialogue.
The scenes are extremely similar and end up in the same place - with Fez's ninja warrior fantasy. The Eric/Donna fan in me loves the little moment between them that's written here & wishes it stayed, though! Eric loves the way Donna smells after a bath, *lol*. (This is a continued characterization! He made similar comments to her in That Disco Episode in season 1...)
The next scene, in the Forman kitchen, is slightly different too. Eric and Laurie's banter is different:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the kids discuss what they will do for dinner that night while Red and Kitty are at Frenchie's. Red's mom's necklace isn't brought up at all in this scene (unlike in the actual episode)! He just mentions breaking out the nice jewelry.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Red & Kitty's next scene, when they head out to dinner, is different. I like Red's little fantasy at the beginning, where he seems to be talking to himself in the mirror and imagining how their evening out will go. 🤣
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hyde and Laurie's next scene is slightly different, too. It's not pictured here, I'm just going to summarize it. Hyde remarks that his dinner of frank and beans was good and hearty, but that Laurie only ate a few bites of toast and some water. They exchange slightly different burns, but it leads to the same moment: Eric coming in and Hyde and Laurie teaming up to burn him.
Next up is Fez's scene in the restaurant with Jackie (also different!). Here are the changed parts:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next scene (not pictured), with the 4 guys in the basement, is slightly different as well but wasn't noteworthy enough to screenshot. The scene ended up in the same place - Eric inadvertently reveals his childhood summer camp nickname (Dr. Pee Pee) and when Kelso burns him, he reveals Kelso's (Big Chief Brown Bottom). 😆
Red and Kitty's next scene (not pictured) is pretty similar: they're back from dinner but Kitty is upset Red keeps bringing up his mother's necklace (they call it a turtle pendant in this draft of the script). She eventually reveals she pawned it, and she doesn't feel bad because she used it for groceries. Red exits and she immediately tells Eric she actually feels very bad. Eric asks if she had a lot of wine at dinner and she says more than she should've, *lol*.
Jackie and Donna's scene on the front porch is almost identical - including Jackie's fantasy about turning into the blueberry girl from Charlie And The Chocolate Factory - until this part:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next scene is with the guys & Laurie in the basement - again, very similar, but some slight changes. I laughed out loud at a few of these cut lines!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Red & Kitty's last scene (not pictured) is very similar to the final version. Kitty apologizes to him, Red forgives her, and they both discuss how they did what they had to do to make ends meet as a family but that thankfully things are much better now. The scene ends with them deciding to go back to the pawn shop and reclaim their stuff *lol*
The final scene with the gang on the driveway is again different! Jackie shows up and she's back to her normal self, but she doesn't pull Fez aside for their little chat. There's also another cut Eric/Donna moment 😭 And a little Jackie/Hyde/(Kelso) one, methinks 👀
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The credits are the same - Eric is napping on the couch and Laurie puts his hand in warm water and says "Sweet dreams, Dr. Pee Pee."
So, in conclusion - almost every scene in this table read draft script was different from what actually aired in the episode. The general spirit of the scene was always the same, but a lot of lines were changed from this script to what ultimately aired. I wonder why that was! And I wonder how that worked, logistically. It appears they did the Table Read on Monday and shot the episode on Friday (some scenes earlier, actually, because of pre-shoots). That's not a lot of time for the cast to re-learn all of their lines! Show biz, baby.
Stay tuned for more That '70s Show original script reviews with me, your host, @thatseventiesbitch 😀
Other Scripts I've Posted:

How would the series have been different if Hyde came from a healthy/"normal" family?
All depends on the dynamics of that family. Also, he'd have formative childhood experiences outside his family that would shape him. The possibilities are virtually endless.
That being said, his compassion for others is a keystone of his personality (from "Prom Night" [1x19] on). He might not feel the need to disguise it without his canonically abusive upbringing.
His sarcasm and passive-aggressiveness come from Edna, so he he'd be more truly laid back in temperament. Very chill instead of a tightly-wound coil that could snap -- but which he controls with dissociative techniques (his version of Zen) and regular (self-narcotizing) pot use.
He'd probably be more ambitious since he wouldn't grow up with too many familial examples of a bleak future (and Edna's messaging about his worthlessness and being just like his father, Bud). He'd be closer to Donna's personality in this regard. On the show, his "laziness" stems from a lack of hope for himself and underlying depression. When in a nurturing environment (the Formans' home), he's significantly more motivated.
So he'd actively pursue a career in (rock) music from a relatively young age. Get guitar lessons (he plays Eric's acoustic guitar in S1). If he has musical proficiency, he'd learn bass and drums, too, and how to sing (we never learn if he does or doesn't have musical of since he's canonically deprived of the opportunity to learn these things about himself -- unstable home, parentally and financially, and the emotional malaise from his abusive upbringing).
Canonically, he's characterized as smart but unmotivated. With a healthy upbringing and proper support, he'd learn all he could about the music business, music production, meet who he could (network), make opportunities for himself -- all as a teenager in a small town. This isn't unrealistic. It's absolutely possible (I'm a primary witness to it, a beautiful experience to be part of).
Donna and WFPP would play a role in the above.
Hyde still wouldn't take shit. He'd learn to develop this later than he does canonically, but thirteen-years-old is early enough.
He'd be more in touch with his sensitive nature because he'd feel far less of a need to protect himself from people. He and Eric have this aspect in common, and they both canonically obscure it in their own ways as protection and out of insecurity.
Hyde wouldn't be opportunistic with his friends (e g., Fez and their double blind date in "Eric Gets Suspended" [2x09]).
None of Hyde's chasing Donna nonsense in S1. Pre-show, he and Eric would, accidentally, reveal to each other their romantic feelings for Donna. They'd make a pact not to make a move on her. But Donna makes the first move on Eric in "That '70s Pilot," so that settles that question for Eric and Hyde both.
Kelso ... without Hyde connecting with him through mutual delinquency and, thus, Kelso joining the Hyde, Eric, Donna friend group through him -- not sure he'd be a long-term friend. He wouldn't fit.
No Kelso, possibly no Jackie (of course, I can always find ways to bring her into the group -- like through Fez). This Hyde would have more patience than his canonical self. He'd continue to be a protector of the vulnerable, but he might not be as driven by that part of himself as he is in the show. His connection to Jackie would be different, less intense since he's naturally chill.
Hyde's childhood wounding in T7S informs so much of who he is. He's mostly subtext on the show. Building different complexities in him and internal conflict not due to parental neglect and abuse would be an interesting exercise in writing. The above scratches the surface.
Thank you for the question, Shea! It's right up my alley (which you know). 😊

I've had so much fun talking to you!! Here are some That 70s Show asks if you feel like answering: 1. Five favorite characters - in order! 2. Three favorite romantic ships 3. Three or four favorite family relationships/friendships 4. Five unpopular opinions you have about the series. The more unpopular, the better!
Ofc, I always feel like procrastinating on Tumblr and avoiding my real life responsibilities so here it is:
Top 5 characters:
1. Red - I am ranking him first only because I feel like he is the character that the writers ruined the least as the time went on
2. Jackie- she had the best development up until season 8
3. Hyde - same as Jackie, he was a jerk at times but had a more or less consistent character development until they flushed it down the toilet in season 8
4. Eric - definitely the most relatable character, too bad they didn't give him more ambition
5. Donna - she was my favorite when I first started watching but what the writers did with her pissed me off so much (having her not go to college and want to move into a van???)
Three romantic ships:
1. Obviously Zenmasters (Jackie and Hyde)
2. Donneric - they were my first ship in this show and I loved them until they started fighting over stupid stuff in every episode
3. Red and Kitty - they are what zenmasters would have been in another universe where they ended up married
Family relationships: I haven't really thought about it until now but I love Eric and Red's dynamic, then Eric and Laurie have a very realistic sibling bickering/ love-hate relationship, and in fact all three Forman siblings if we count Hyde have that together, that's why I enjoyed the episodes in season 2 where they were all living under one roof. And last but not least, while Midge was not great and in the end left Donna, I still liked the moments in which she offered motherly wisdom to her. It seems like the kind of relationship I would love to have with my mother where you are not scared to tell her anything. So to sum up:
1. Red and Eric
2. Eric, Laurie and Hyde
3. Midge and Donna
I will make a separate one for friendships:
1. Jackie and Donna
2. Jackie and Eric
3. All of the guys together
Hmm I am not sure if I have any about this particular show, so I will just say 5 random opinions:
1. Bob was annoying and kind of unnecessary
2. They should have kept Kelso as he was in season 1- a bit clueless about life but secretly very good at math and technology
3. Laurie is a terrible person and that's what makes her fun. There's no need to redeem or humanize her as some fans try to do.
4. People complain that Donna was ruined in the later seasons by giving up on her ambitions but no one talks about how Eric was too. They both should have gone to college. Hyde could have easily taken care of Red and the Forman house after the heart attack.
5. People that complain about the jokes on this show being offensive and having aged badly need to grow a pair.

MIDNIGHT SKY// JAY KELSO X READER
For first chapter click here: Part 1
A/N: I decided to make Cassie their family friend instead of their actual cousin to go along with the story.  But there might be a story twist a bit, but I'm still figuring it out. Nothing too dramatic kr anything, just who her parents r and stuff.
Part 2 of this will be posted either tonight or tomorrow.
I know you have all been waiting for a part two, and I haven't been very active with my stories. But I'm going to get back into writing, I have been watching the last of us recently, and I am going to be writing a story for Joel.
If anyone wants to be tagged in this series lmk!

We were back in Forman's basement playing uno. I was swinging my leg that was over my thigh and saw Ozzie place all his cards down.
"Ozzie, boo that's not how you play. You're only supposed to drop one card." I frowned, confused as to what he was doing.
He looked at me with a slight glare on his face as I gulped.
"Excuse me?" I rolled my eyes at the boy and sighed.
"Cool basement." Gwen said as I sat down in a chair next to the light skinned girl.
"Yea man, it's dope." I agreed, I adjusted my sunglasses that were starting to fall when I tucked a piece of red hair in.
"It's a dump." I took a swig of my cola that was resting on the table.
"Ozzie man, manners." I hissed, but he just rolls his eyes at me.
"Ozzie and I met last year in detention. Tell her what you did." Gwen said, getting excited.
"Chill out bro, you're gonna burn a hole in that chair." She slapped my hand, and I just gasped dramatically at her.
"You didn't!" She just rolls her eyes at my dramaticness.
"I told my math teacher his wife was cheating on him. She was making out with some guy at IHOP." I laughed, I would always laugh whenever Ozzie would tell us this story as Leia looked over at me like I'm crazy.
"That's horrible." Leia said as I took another sip.
   "I know, IHOPE." He scoffed.
"She could have done it somewhere else. Why iHOP? The lamest date ever, man. You know, maybe the government had something to do with this man. I mean, my old man would tell me some shit about them." I said, as Leia gives me a weird look.
"What does the government have to do with ihop?" I just shrugged at Leia's question, not knowing the answer to her question.
   "I don't know, man." I laughed.
The door to the basement opened and revealed my boyfriend, Nikki, and Nate.
"Babe!" I jumped into his arms, my legs wrapping around his waist as he quickly caught me with a low grunt.
"Ugh, please don't make out. I think I might gag." I rolled my eyes, but I kissed him anyways.
"You will not believe what we found." Nate said he looked like a kid in a candy store.
"You found a keg?" I asked.
"Bro! You ruined the story, man!" I give him a fake pout as I dropped my feet back to the ground and ignored Nate's wines.
"You don't get excited like that unless it has something to do with beer. And like I said, if it's a story about how you found a keg, I'd like to hear how you, my dear friend, how you found it." I skipped towards the couch, with Jay's hand in mine as I made him sit first and plant myself on his lap.
"Now, tell me. How did you find this tap?" I pat my lap waiting for Nate to start his story.
"Because if this is just you telling us the story of you eating a McRib again, then I will be disappointed in you." I joked, as Nate looked at me with a scared look on his face.
"Hey man, I thought it was gone forever!" I rolled my eyes and picked at the chip black nail polish on my nails.
"Aw, you were scared, babe?" I groaned in annoyance, tilting my head back that was now resting on Jay's shoulder.
Jay pats my stomach as he laughed at my dramaticness.
"So awful to see those two." I leaned my face so my face was hiding in his neck away from their view.
"Can you tell your story now, man?" I asked, but not facing their view as my eyes were closed getting bored.
"So, we were just chilling in my van. Cassie was supposed to join us, but she ditched Jay for Gwen." I shrugged.
"Because I'm her favorite." Gwen piped in.
"Nu-huh, I am." Jay pouted, but I put my fingers through his hair and shook my head.
"Sorry, babe, but Gwen is my favorite." I give him a kiss on his pouted lips that turned into a smile.
"But at least you get kisses and other things." I whispered the other part that the others didn't hear.
"Why don't I get the front seat?" Nikki asked, I looked up at Nate and then back to Jay.
"Yea, Nate, why doesn't your girlfriend get the front seat?" I pressed.
"I called shotgun." I scoffed at Jay and quickly got off of his lap.
"So, if Nate called shotgun in your car, he'd get the front seat?" Jay gulped and looked at Gwen, but she just shrugged and had a smirk on her face.
"N-no?" He stuttered, I rolled my eyes at him, knowing that was a lie.
"He's my best friend Cas." Nate claimed, I ignored him, and I just sat back down in my regular lawn chair.
"You get no cuddles nor kisses for a week." Jay continued to protest, but I ignored him as Leia looked at me.
"Wow." Leia said as I looked at her with scrunched eyebrows.
"How do you do that? That was so brave." I snorted at the blonde girl.
"Everyone is scared of her." Leia looked at me with a confused look on her face.
"But you're so nice! How could you be scary?" I heard a noise coming from everyone in the room.
"Last year, Cassidy freaking froze the football teams' clothes! And she pulled the fire alarm so she could get out of a math test!" I shrugged, crossing my arms over my chest, and crossed my leg over my thigh.
"It's easy, man. You just gotta make sure the cameras can't see you. Also, I have so many fake doctors' notes, man. I think my old man would be proud of me." I joked, as I have a fake smile on my face.
"I still don't know how you're with a Kelso. Your dad must've flipped, dude." I shrugged my shoulders.
   "Who's you're dad?" Leia asked.
"Steven Hyde, but I kept my moms last name." Leia went wide-eyed as she looked at me.
"Your dad is my dad's best friend! Dude, that's so weird!" I sighed. I continued to pick at the black nail polish off of my fingers.
"Not really.  I don't see him, but he got arrested, and I hadn't seen him in a few years." I said, finishing my sob story.
"But anyways, you were saying Nate?" I wanted him to finish his story.
He was telling us how he got a keg from Mama's as I rolled my eyes.
"How the hell did you get a keg? You two are awful liars! Jay, you're terrible at keeping up with a lie without stuttering." I said, pointing Jay out as he gives me a disbelief look.
"Bro!" Nate said, offended. But they both started saying bro to each other.
"I need a new boyfriend." I shook my head and looked to Ozzie, who placed a hand on my thigh.
"It's okay, you'll learn for next time." I scowled at the boy, and he just gave me a sarcastic smile.
"They were like this the whole time." I gasped, placing a hand over my heart and quickly rushing towards Nikki and giving her a hug.
"I'm so sorry for you, babes." I pat her curly hair, but making sure not to ruin her curls.
"Come on, babe. It's the fourth of July, miracle! With beer!" He exclaimed the last part to Nikki.
"Then what are we waiting for! Let's tap that keg and get the party going!" Gwen said. I quickly agreed with her. Nate, on the other hand, looked worried.
"We don't have a tap." I groaned, leaning on Gwen, who was sitting on a chair at the table.
"You idiot! You got a keg with no tap!" I said, shaking my head at the boy.
"Would a kiss make it better?" Nikki sarcastically asked me as I scowled at her playfully.
"Do you have a mouthful of beer?" She shook her head.
  "Then no." I replied.
"Well. I have something remotely better." Leia said.
I was sitting on Jay's lap, as I was staring at uno cards.
"Bro, pick a card." I giggled, looking at Gwen.
"Bro, c'mon!" I whined. She caved and took a card.
"I bet you it's a blue card!' I laughed when it was the right card.
"Dude, that's so fuckin cool bro! How did you know?" I put an invisible key to my lips and zipped my mouth. But I ended up laughing, then I stopped, then I continued to laugh again.

Our high was over as Nate was now trying to bang the keg opened. I was yawning as I was sitting next to Ozzie as I was staring at Nate.
"Nate versus beer. You know, I thought I trained you to he better kid. I thought that you'd learned better from me. I was so wrong." I tsk at the boy.
"Cassie man, would you shut up! You're making me feel bad!" I rolled my eyes as I walked away. I made my way towards Jay, and leaned on his arm.
"I thought you said no cuddles or kisses for a week?" A grin was plastered on his lips as I grumbled at him.
"Shut up." He laughed as I got more comfortable on his arm.
"Wait, why can't we just go back to Mama's and get a tap?" I looked at Leia with a terrified look.
"Look, man, we all tried. I even let Jay flirt with her!" I said, Gwen shuddered in response.
"It's true. And Cassie is very possessive of Jay." I nodded my head, agreeing.
"It's true. But I'm not that bad, am I?" I looked to Nikki, who gives me a half and half shake with her hand.
"But you only do it when other girls flirt with him. Which is understandable." I let out a sigh of relief.
"Even Cas tried. Jay had to swoop in and save the girl before she blew her cover. She almost got caught by the cops again." I nodded my head. A look of fright was on my face.
"It's true, man. I almost died." Jay throws me into his arms and hugged me as I fakes sobbed.
"I have failed at lying!" I cried, fake sobs racking my body.
"It's okay, babe. It's not you. It was her." He assured me as I pulled away from his warm body.
"Okay."Okay." He pushes some hair out of my face as he gives me a soft kiss on the lips.
"But you haven't tried yet." Gwen said, pointing to Leia.
"She's innocent! She's a Forman, man!" Gwen gives me a glare in response as I silenced myself.
"Then help me, you could show me how to be braver. Or lie better, I mean I was on the debate team. Can't be that hard to lie." I snorted.
"Debate team?" I asked, in return, a slap on my arm from Jay as I silenced myself.
"Cas could help you. I mean, she's literally the best at stealing." Jay said as I placed a hand on my heart.
"Awe babe, that's so sweet." I sneak my hand into his pocket as he continues to stare into my eyes as I stole a piece of gum.
"See, expert." We all rolled our eyes at the boy.
"You're just whipped." Gwen said to Jay, who scoffs in response and tried to deny.
"Deny, all you want, babe, but it's true. You are." I said while blowing a bubble with the mint gum.
"I want to be you when I grow up." I laughed at Leia, but she was one hundred percent serious.
"Alright. So, here's the plan." And I knew just from then that Leia Forman will become a woman, and learn that she could be strong without worrying about others.

Jackie: Has a bunch of Barbies, and owns two Barbie dream houses. One for her favorite Barbie, and one for the servants.
Donna: Owns a few Barbies, as clueless gifts from aunts and uncles. She rarely plays with them, and they collect dust.
Laurie: Makes Barbie and Ken have sex.
Kelso: Also makes Barbie and Ken have sex. Makes Barbie and Midge make out.
Eric: "My GI Joes aren't dolls, they're ACTION FIGURES."

I know most people think this scene was done just to get some laughs and find it pretty unbelievable and maybe even sort of a gimmick but I wanted to share with you my take on the scene, not to argue or start anything between anyone but to maybe help viewers see it's not done *just for the laughs* and maybe even help find more enjoyment in the scene too. Kurtwood Smith and Ashton Kutcher really were hilarious in it.
One of the main issues I've seen people have with this scene is: "How do Red and Kitty not know that Jay Kelso exists?"
Here's the thing, we never see Kitty in this moment at all, it's not until Kelso has appeared and by that time she just looks happy to see him. She doesn't appear in the shot when Leia and Jay are coming up from the basement either, so we never see any confusion on her face and she certainly didn't ask Jay who he was, so who's to say that Kitty doesn't know who Jay is? I think she does!
I think it's very likely that she knows Jay exists and has maybe even met him a few times fairly quickly, possibly with Jackie. Remember when Jackie comes in, she greets Kitty with a 'Hi, Kitty' not Mrs. Forman, they had to have run into each other somewhere in town. Made small conversation and then gone their separate ways.
I find it easier to think that Kitty does know who Jay is and Red should know too because while he's never met the kid himself-he's enjoyed his retirement by staying clear of any Kelsos-Kitty must have told Red about Jay and seeing him and Jackie at the Piggly Wiggly once or twice but honestly do you really think Red would keep in mind that there was another little Kelso out there in Point Place? Maybe, but not enough to quickly put together that this kid Leia is hanging out with is part of the Kelso family. That is of course until he hears Jay's name. And even then as soon as Jay says Jay Kelso, Red doesn't even consider Jay being related to Casey or another Kelso-it's like he realizes then that he's heard that name before and knows exactly who this kid belongs to: Michael Kelso.
That's just my take on things. In my mind, Kitty does know Jay exists, but she hasn't spent much time with him to really know him because her only granddaughter who's close enough to Jay's age is in Chicago. Red has heard about Jay from Kitty but never actually met the kid, he's stayed away from Kelso's as much as possible in his retirement years. He also doesn't keep the information of there being a new Kelso, fresh in his mind, but it's there and helps him put these pieces together just as Kelso comes in to confirm everything and make a hilarious memorable scene.

Do you think Donna or Jackie changed their names when they got married?
~*~*~*~
Thank you so much for the question! I could see Donna changing her name to Forman because she'd practically been a member of The Forman Family for forever, but I could also see her changing her name to Pinciotti-Forman keeping her last name to sort of honor her dad. She's his only daughter and maybe she wants to sort of keep the family name around a little longer.
For Jackie I say with marrying Kelso she hyphenates her last name. Burkhart-Kelso. She knows the Kelso name is well known around town and not for the best reasons, so she keeps Burkhart with the hyphenation. It also makes it easier to drop the Kelso part whenever she and Michael are in the middle of one of their separations.
Now for another universe when Jackie marries Hyde, she would 100% change her name to Jackie Hyde. The Hyde name is also well known around town and not for the best reasons but when she's with Steven, she doesn't care about that and knows much of the bad rep comes from his parents rather than Steven himself.
And to throw in a little Red/Kitty to the post: Of course we know Kitty does change her name to Forman when she marries Red and I've got a cute little moment in an upcoming oneshot that has newlywed Red and Kitty talking about her becoming Mrs. Forman 🥰
Thank you so much for the ask @tht70sblog!

Chapter 10: Do Your Thing
Tumblr media
Summer seemed to fly by, and Jackie’s belly got bigger; not that you could tell her that or she would most certainly cry, for she did every time she needed to go up a size in clothing. She was due in the middle of September, and though she had to schedule a C-Section due to her condition she could go at any time, but the doctors wanted to get her as close to September as they could which only seemed to make her more nervous.
Jackie also didn’t appear to be getting the support that she was hoping for when she returned home from Point Place. Kelso was either busy with Fez or co-parenting Betsy. Fez seemed to forget completely about the baby shower he had promised and was busy with Michael or the beauty shop.  Donna was busy with school and her manchild Eric. As for Eric, he and Steven still weren’t speaking and avoided them like the plague when he wasn’t visiting Donna. The only constant seemed to be Steven, and she was thankful for that, seeing as he was the baby’s father and all; though he appeared to be distant lately himself.
Steven still seemed to be his usual Zen self and for that, she was thankful and envious; thankful because he doted on her and their baby every waking moment he was not working, but envious he could manage to be so calm on his own. She never thought she would say this, but she didn’t like depending on a man; she missed her own independence she had in Chicago, no matter how short-lived it had been. She loved Steven but she also loved the woman she was starting to become; she wondered if those things could ever converge.
That is she and Steven ultimately made the decision to try again after the baby made her grand debut. She wanted him now, but she wasn’t sure if jumping into a relationship was a good idea because maybe the hormones were blinding her, maybe she just wanted the baby to have the family she never really did. Maybe she was just going crazy with her thoughts after being in bed for so long aside from the dinner table, Red popping in to watch his stories, and occasionally the Forman’s driveway.
Jackie was idly massaging her stomach when a knock came from the door; she gazed up and there was the man himself; Steven stood there with a box tucked beneath his crossed arms. “I have a surprise for you.” He announced. “Can I help you get dressed?”
Jackie looked down at her pink sundress, it was one of the few things that still fit her these days. “Am I underdressed to vomit and watch Days of Our Lives with Red?” She snorted and reached over for her can of Tab. “Besides, good luck finding something that fits me.”
“Uh, about that.” He came and plopped down next to her before he handed over the box in his arms which was neatly wrapped in shiny pink paper; he had finally gotten her something shiny. “I got you this, well paid for it, I had some help.”

Leia's Wedding
Tumblr media
Summary: Jay never knew how much Leia truly means to him before she nearly walked down the aisle and married somebody else.
Pairings: Leia Forman + Jay Kelso
Main Masterlist | Jay + Leia Masterlist
Tumblr media
Jay met Leia Forman when he was 15, but he didn't know how much of an impact Rec and Kitty Forman's granddaughter was going to have on his life.
When Leia came back for her summer visit in 1997, they ended up sleeping together. It didn't take long to get around the group.
And Leia never heard the end of it from Gwen.
Tumblr media
But, she dropped the bombshell of the decade on the gang when she arrived in Point Place, Wisconsin in 2002. She still drove her father's old Vista Cruiser, but a man was sitting in the passenger seat.
Saying that she was going to be getting married at the end of the summer.
And Jay didn't like her fiancé.
Not one bit.
He was an arrogant asshole who looked down his nose at anyone in town, her friends, him, her parents but especially her grandparents.
Mainly Kitty.
He doesn't know what he has against Leia's sweet grandmother, who went back to work years after she retired and watched over the gang throughout their high school years.
Tumblr media
Jay decided it was his last chance to win Leia back. But, he found her sobbing in the bridal holding the cufflinks that were special in her family (he remembers her saying they were 'blessed' by... someone... she didn't know the whole story).
"Leia?" Gently shutting the door behind him so he doesn't startle her, he walks along the plush carpet wearing the new dress shoes he bought for this occasion. "What's the matter? You're getting married in 10 minutes!" He tried to sound enthusiastic, but he knew his heart wasn't in it.
"He had this whole plan, he was going to move us to Australia! I'd never see my family again. Or you... guys."
Jay wanted to rip the asshole's head off. It was obvious that Leia loved her family. Kitty obsessed over the arrival of summer and Leia's time in Point Place. He may not show it that often, but Red loved spending time with his granddaughter. He's the one who went down to the dreaded DMV after her 15th birthday (even after getting pulled over by the police for expired licence plates) and got her learner's permit and started teaching her how to drive. Despite being 'half dumbass', she passed the first time.
"Oh, Leia. I'm so sorry," no matter how much he hated Leia's now ex-fiancé, he knew she loved him. And the fact he was willing (almost happy) to tear her away from her family and friends, seemed to have pulled the veil away from her eyes.
There was thudding coming from the corridor, followed by repeated knocks.
"Leia! Please, just listen to me! I know we can work our way through this!" The asshole was trying to make Leia see his 'sense'.
Not on Jay's watch!
He got up from where he was and sat on the floor with Leia, ignoring her please for a moment and threw open the door. Leia's ex came face to sternum with Jay (who had a shocking growth spurt and stood well over a head above Leia).
"There's no way in hell, Leia would ever go back to you. Not if it's the last thing I do."
"Jay, just let me speak to him," Leia had come up behind him. When she stood next to Little Kelso, she came just above his heart.
Jay let out a deep breath, as Leia came around him, staring up at her ex-fiancé with a look Jay didn't recognise - but the sly smirk on his face made him bristle. He thought Leia was going to take the asshole back until-
Thwack!
Leia punched her ex square in the face. "I never want to see you again."
Tumblr media
Through Gwen, it was determined Leia would get the non-refundable honeymoon to the Maldives.
Gwen also suggested that Leia take Jay with her.
Unsurprisingly to either the gang or Leia's family, Jay and Leia had gotten back together.
And this time, it would stick.
