A scene I can see in my mind so clearly:
Donna comes home late from work or school, and Eric is feeding baby Leia dinner and they’re both messy and giggling - or he’s giving her a bath and they’re both soaked and giggling - or he’s reading her a bedtime story and doing goofy voices and she’s giggling - and Donna just stands there and watches them for a minute, smiling like this:

Plenty of us enjoy That ‘90s Show, but can still be respectful towards those in the fandom who do not 😊

If Donna and her parents moved to Point Place, and into the house neighboring the Formans', the summer between 8th and 8th grade: how would her relationship with Eric (Hyde, and Kelso) be different? How would it be the same? How would it develop?
Thank you for the ask!
Ooh, interesting. If Donna and Eric didn't grow up next door to each other, but instead Donna moved to Point Place in middle school, I think...
Donna and Eric
Their families wouldn't be close in the same way they are in canon. Red & Kitty and Bob & Midge used to vacation together and be very close when their kids were smaller, it was only later/into the '70s when Bob and Midge started falling in with all the fads of the time that they became 'weird' to Red & Kitty and grew apart (sort of). Hence I always imagine Eric and Donna having an almost cousin-like relationship when they were growing up - the others' parents were their second set of parents/second home, their two families shared traditions, they were raised together and went through childhood together, giving them an almost familial bond. I think if the Pinciottis had moved to Point Place later, that relationship between the two families (and thus, between Eric and Donna) would've been very different. I don't know that Red & Kitty and Bob & Midge would become friends at all. They'd probably just be those crazy new neighbors next door to the Formans.
Eric and Donna, however, would still become fast friends. Their relationship might start out contentious (like it did in canon), maybe based on some sort of misunderstanding, but Eric's sincerity quickly wins Donna over. He realizes she's lonely and doesn't know anyone in town yet (not that she'll say that, stubborn girl), maybe she's always out playing basketball alone in her driveway, and Eric invites her to the basement and brings her into the gang.
Eric (and the other guys) would have a raging crush on her right from the get-go, but Donna would make it clear she only has platonic feelings for any of them. They'd become a tight-knit little gang before middle school was over - sort of 'Wendy and her lost boys' (which is pretty much what I imagine in canon, too). Eric would always defend her when the other guys (ok, mostly Kelso) blurred those boundaries or made her feel uncomfortable. That's how he wins over her trust.
By high school, Donna's developed full-fledged feelings for Eric but doesn't know how to express them/what to do about them. She's afraid of making a move or revealing her true feelings, and their friendship changing. From here on out, it pretty much matches canon. 🤷‍♀️
Others
I think Kelso, Hyde, and Eric would all be infatuated with her when she first arrives, and they'd all develop varying ranges of crushes on her.
Hyde's crush on Donna might escalate quicker than it did in canon - considering Eric and Donna don't have that 'childhood sweethearts' backstory - but I think it would have the same ultimate outcome: Donna tells him she just doesn't have feelings for him like that, but sees him as a good friend. Hyde struggles to accept this - even more so when Donna and Eric start to date in high school. He's hurt by her choice, her rejection, and for awhile he passive-aggressively takes it out on both Eric and Donna until they all eventually resolve it.
I actually think Donna and Kelso's relationship would remain pretty much the same. Ditto to her and Jackie, who would still join the gang around Donna's junior year of high school when she starts dating Kelso.

Hello, hi, I haven't written anything in weeks (😫) but I'm in my feels from #The Tortured Poet's Department and to be honest I don't even know where this came from but here, have an angsty-but-??? E/D drabble.
--
“Eric. You came.”
Donna looked up in surprise. His dark figure in the door frame, lean and almost glowing with the bright hallway lights behind him. She was still half asleep, brain hazy and muddled, cheeks tear-strewn and puffy, but she reached for him like a life raft.
“Of course I did.”
In seconds, he was there. He sat on the bed next to her, and cupped her chin. Donna closed her eyes at the touch, hating herself for how much she needed him. Like a labrador who’d missed her favorite human.
“Donna - ” he swallowed. Up close now, she could see that his eyes were glassy. “Why didn’t you tell me?” he choked.
She closed her eyes again, tighter, and a tear squeezed loose. “I - I didn’t know how,” she whispered, helplessly.
He took in a shaky breath, and released it slow. She knew he didn’t understand. They’d always told each other everything. But -
“Eric, you - you left,” she reminded him. She brushed her tear away, roughly. Sitting up now, her fiery defiance returning. He wasn’t the victim here.
Eric’s brow furrowed. “You didn’t think I’d come back for this?”
“I don’t want to be your consolation prize.” She muttered it so softly, she wasn’t sure if he heard. But he did.
“Consolation prize?” He chuckled but it was hollow. Humorless. “Donna you’re not - ” he stood up suddenly and started to pace, leafing a hand through his hair with frantic energy. She watched him wearily, until a few moments later he froze. Turned around to look at her with those same wounded eyes. “That’s what you really think?” his voice cracked emotionally.
“It’s what I’m scared of,” she admitted, in a small voice.
He stood staring at her for a long moment - so long she wasn’t sure if he was about to leave.
But he returned to the bed. Sat next to her, tenderly pushed some of the hair out of her eyes, tucked it behind her ear. Like he loved her. She wanted to believe that he still did.
“I fucked it all up, didn’t I?” he asked her quietly. He gave her a regretful, wistful smile. “Like I always do.”
“I think we both fucked it up this time.”
“We’re just a couple of goons, huh?”
Donna’s breath caught in her throat.
“Havin’ a baby,” he finished quietly. He reached forward, and gently set his hand over the small swell of her stomach. Their eyes met, and that familiar jolt of electricity ran down her spine, settled in the bottom of her belly. Like butterflies. Or baby kicks.
“Eric. What happens now?” she whispered.
“Our forever,” he whispered back, tenderly caressing her cheek. "It's the only thing I've ever wanted."

ED 52
Prompt: “Can I kiss you?” Eric/Donna
AO3 LINK
June 1981
“Donna…” Kitty starts, approaching Donna with caution. Donna is standing in front of a full-length mirror as Jackie makes the last adjustments to her hair. She’s clad in a beautiful white wedding dress that hugs her in all the right places.
Jackie snaps her head to look at Kitty. From her voice, it was all too obvious that something was wrong. Donna slowly turns to look at her as well.
“What?” Donna asks.
“Well, honey,” Kitty rushes forward and starts fidgeting with the lace on Donna's dress, trying to make it flat.
“Mrs. Forman!” Jackie prompts. She was just as anxious to know what Kitty was going to say as the bride.
“The thing is,” Kitty laughs nervously, clutching her hands in front of her.
“What is it?” Donna urges.
“We can’t find Eric.” Kitty grimaces, fearing Donna’s reaction.
“What?” Donna can’t believe this. He wouldn’t do this to her, not again. “Are you sure he’s not just in the bathroom?”
“They looked there,” Kitty affirms.
“How could he do this?!” Jackie exclaims, “It took me hours to get my hair to look this good!”
Donna gives her best friend a pointed look.
“I mean…it took me hours to get your hair to look this good,” Jackie backtracks.
“Oh, honey, I’m sure he’ll turn up.” Kitty tries to comfort Donna.
“He didn’t last time,” Jackie says under her breath.
“Jackie!” Kitty hisses.
“Sorry,” Jackie winces, “I’ll just go see if there are any updates from Steven.”
Jackie ducks out of the room quickly, unwilling to endure Donna’s inevitable wrath.
“Are you okay, sweetie?” Kitty asks.
Donna takes a deep breath, “I think I am.”
Kitty raises an eyebrow.
“No, seriously, I’m okay. And I don’t think Eric would do this to me again. He’ll be here. There’s still a half hour until the wedding.” Donna nods. “It’s going to be fine.”
Then fifteen minutes pass with no sign of Eric, and another fifteen minutes, and then another half hour.
“He’s half an hour late!” Donna shouts as she paces back and forth in the backroom of the church. “How much longer did they say they’d wait?”
Kitty checks her watch, “Only 15 more minutes.”
“He better be here, or I’m going to kick his ass next time I see him!”
The door suddenly swings open, and Jackie rushes in. “He’s here, he’s here!”
“Oh, thank God!” Kitty breathes a sigh of relief.
“Um, Donna, he wants to see you before the ceremony starts,” Jackie relays.
“He’s not supposed to see me in my dress,” Donna reminds her.
“I know, but he said it’s important, and he won’t let the ceremony start until he sees you.”
They all jump when there’s a sudden knock on the door.
“Who is it?” Donna snaps.
“It’s Eric.” His voice is hesitant.
“Get your butt to the end of that aisle!” Donna yells through the door.
“Please, Donna, I need to see you first.”
Donna sighs but gives in. She motions to Jackie and Kitty to leave. They leave, and Eric enters.
“Before you start yelling at me, I left only because I had to get something.”
“What could you possibly need to get that badly that you would risk missing our wedding again!” Donna crosses her arms.
Eric takes a few steps toward her, pulling a jewelry box out of his pocket.
“What is this?” Donna asks.
“I know you were upset that your mom mailed your grandparents wedding bands instead of just bringing them with her.”
“Right, because the mail takes forever, and she got here two days ago.”
“Well, I called the post office and told them to call me if they came in before 4 o’clock today. I even gave them the number of the church.”
“Eric…” Donna covers her face with her hands.
“And I just wanted you to know why I left and why I was late. I didn’t want you to not go through with the wedding because you didn’t know what I was doing.”
Donna drops her hands from her face. Tears start forming in her eyes. She sniffs and holds them back. “Thank you.” She smiles. “Let’s get married.”
They both smile.
“Can I kiss you?” Eric asks.
“Not until we are husband and wife!” Donna playfully pushes him away. “Now, get your butt to the end of the aisle before the pastor leaves!”
“Yes, ma’am!” Eric puts the ring box back in his pocket and smiles at his bride one more time before leaving.
Kitty and Jackie come back in the room. They see Donna with tears in her eyes.
“Uh oh, do I need to tell Steven to beat up Eric?” Jackie offers.
Donna shakes her head.
“Is there still a wedding?” Kitty asks.
This time Donna nods.
“Well, then, let’s get this party started!” Kitty exclaims and rushes out of the room again to walk her son down the aisle.
