I have this crying club related thought that since Adam’s whole persona there is not only a leader who is cultured and knows things but specifically a codependent queer community leader in addition to everything else, the constant lying and scamming tarot readings and being a Harvard student, he has to in his spare time constantly research like queer pop culture things he’s expected to know and read or watch them like it’s homework which he hates and it makes him even more miserable. i got my isbn today for the book. 8 months to go. my mom and i were talking about what the next steps are. i was eating trail mix, standing on one foot, phone tucked into my ear.

"oh god. no, you don't have to do that." she was anguished.
