jean taking care of kevin when riko destroyed his hand (extra content) vs kevin checking out the injuries of jean’s hand after leaving the nest (the sunshine court)
I am not the same I was before thinking about these parallels. For so long, they were the only ones they could trust, having an almost achingly sad rutine just to make sure the other one is still alive, that everything can be put together again. The familiarity with which Kevin checks out Jean’s hand is enough to make me sob if I think about it too much.

Bobby getting some kind of commendation would make the most sense for the dress blues if you ask me. It would tie up his arc nicely - we know the burns nurse from his past is coming back and that the signs point to his arc being connected with the St Paul fire he feels is his fault - the fire that took his family from him.
So what if he saves his current family in some way and that he gets to accept and move on - winning an ward in the process?
It would feel satisfying and full circle and would fir with the shows way of doing arcs. We saw it last season with Athena and her finding out what had happened to Tanya.
Plus firefam in dress blues to celebrate and close out the season just feels right
