This may be the only guzhuang / ancient costume fig I have that doesn't have a guan. I feel two ways about this. On one hand, I like the plain look of the hair - there is no time for hair crowns when you're off to battle! On the other hand, if you already look this fancy, what's a little more gold for the hair?

In reality, Zhehan's face is so gorgeous that the clean hairstyle actually suits this costume best. It sets off his face and costume to best effect.

I love the motion in the cape here.

Now THAT is a sword. Pre-attached, so no worries about it fitting in his hand, and nice and solid. There is some heft to that sword! Most of the PVC swords I get bend in shipping, since they are slim and therefore are quite flexible (and I'm not just talking about A-Xu's Baiyi!). This one didn't bend a fraction of an inch.

I love the 3-D effect with the cape fastening to his breastplate..it looks so polished that way.

He stands very well - the sword and the cape don't put him off-balance. Maybe they cancel each other out!

This is a nice angle to see the effect on the cape at the shoulders, and also of course the slight flare at the bottom.

The plain topknot is definitely growing on me! I don't mind some variation at all.

This Niuniu is definitely going on my battlefield display with all my battle-worn (and not so battle-worn) warrior figs!

I really do love getting the printed boxes - I miss those on all the white-boxed resin figs!

✨️ A proper tour of my feeding tube!! ✨️

Putting it below a readmore link bc it'll be a little (read: very) long <3 It isn't graphic though!

The tube!! There's a little balloon in my tummy to hold the tube in, and a rubbery disc against my skin to help hold things in place. The numbers and lines on the tube are meant to tell me if my tube has slipped out/pushed further in, so I can adjust it as needed (or contact my doctor if it's a significant amount of movement). The tube isn't connected to the disc, and can move independently of it.

Then we have the tube itself, with its three chambers and ports:

The Gastric port, aka the G port, that leads to my stomach. I use this for meds crushed in water, as well as draining my stomach when I feel ill, because my tummy isn't very good at processing things I consume.

The Jejunal port, aka the J port, that leads to the beginning of my small intestines, is the one I use for my feedings. I have to flush it with water four times a day to prevent the thick formula from clogging it up.

Lastly, we have the Bal. port, aka the Balloon port. The Balloon port was just used to inflate the balloon, so I don't do anything with it. When it's time to replace my tube with a shiny new one, they'll snip the tube with a scissors, and the air will leak out of the balloon, allowing them to remove the tube.

Here we have the tube connected to the feed bag! It has a cute purple cap for the end, so I can keep my formula from leaking everywhere or getting contaminated while I stop my feedings for water flushes. I like to loop it and put it in my cute zebra print clip, to hold my tube up and shorten the length of tube I have to deal with.

The feed bag tube goes through a pump, then connects to the bag, all hung on my iv pole!

(Sorry for the shaky pic, I have pretty bad hand tremors from a medication side effect rn).

There's a screen to display my dose, rate, and how much I've consumed during my current feeding. I can just click the labelled button and it'll show me what I wanna see/adjust! It also explains whatever alarm might end up going off, such as 'NO FOOD' (when my feed bag runs out), or 'PUSH PAUSE TO START' (for when I pause a feeding and forget to continue it after I've finished whatever I was doing). Oh and it shows if it is actually running, along w how much battery life it has left! I plug it in each night after I've finished feeding for the day.

The screen does light up when it's plugged in, but I don't like dragging the cord all over the floor when I move around, so I just deal with the dim screen.

Then there's the feed bag (which will actually change now that I get pre-filled ones). The tube comes out the bottom, and at the top is a cap you can twist off to add more formula. Each bag (and tubing) is only used for one day, as it isn't sanitary enough to continue using it for more than 24 hours. The other style of bag I'll be getting can be used for 48 hours max.

Each bag can hold up to 1200ml of formula, but I only fill it half full and add the rest later, as I don't like when it's super heavy. The lines and numbers along the side show you roughly how much formula is in there, the key word here being Roughly. It's not always accurate.

BONUS: Here's my table! When I first got home, I was in so much pain I could barely move, so my bed was put in the living room, and I have a table with baskets of everything I might need. I've got headphones and gaming things, tissues, socks and headbands, my planner, and tooons of meds. I'm also borrowing my brother's grabber thing-- I use it to turn on the light behind me :3

BONUS 2: Here's a self-portrait I did shortly after I got my tube, expressing the struggle I've experienced while healing and adjusting to my new situation. It was a rough couple of weeks, but I made it through, and things are finally starting to look up now. I'm eager to start sharing the things I've learned, and what I'm still learning!

things i loved abt this version of the musical:

♡ plankton had black nail polish and i’d never felt so validated. i draw him with black nail polish all the time, no matter which production it is, so to see someone actually Doing That? gosh, it made me so so so happy

♡ he also wore black lipstick and lime green eyeshadow. absolutely killing it

♡ spongebob had red accents on his shirt, suspenders, and pants. even a little red pocket on his shirt! and he had big round glasses. cute as hell. i think i’m going to add red accents on my version of spongebob, too!

♡ instead of swiveling out on a Chum Bucket chair during the opening number, plankton was swinging from a ladder hanging from the ceiling. that was his Thing he would do, he would always be climbing the ladder and hanging from it while singing.

♡ this portrayal of plankton was terrifying. he’d widen his eye and bare his teeth. he stood straight and tall, but not really like he was looming (like nick’s), and not big and loud like he wanted to be seen (like wes’). he was just There. he was There and he was watching the town and planning their demise and he spoke almost robotically for the first half of his introduction in Bikini Bottom Day. he’d flex his fingers and tilt his head and give a very unsettling grin during some lines. i loved it.

♡ Karen was actually the one making all the sound effects! I didn’t expect a low budget playhouse to bother with using the sound effects, but the girl who played Karen absolutely knocked it out of the park with her keyboard. she had her face projected on a TV screen that Plankton would talk to. and kiss.

♡ at one point he leaned in to caress Karen (the scene after Hero is My Middle Name) and she stopped him and said “oh, wait, you got something in your-” and he stops and says “in my teeth? what is it - oh, it’s probably kale. yeah, it’s kale. new year, new me! trying new things, Karen! what’s happening - oh, the set is changing already? okay let’s GO KAREN”

♡ he proceeded to, instead of walk off the stage like a normal person, literally do the worm. flop like a fish, if you will. karen just stared at him and said “yeah. the magic is definitely gone”

♡ the actor playing Patrick had the most beautiful voice?? my gosh?? this dude should be on broadway. this dude should have his own album. his vibrato was insane. when he sang I Guess I Miss You i got a little misty-eyed because he put so much feeling into it and i was just so overwhelmed to be there at all :’)

♡ plankton only held a little plush of himself during When the Going Gets Tough. after his dance number he threw the plushie off the stage and said (to the town) “you’re all idiots, just use your imagination”

♡ when he did his dance number he said in the middle of it “this choreography isn’t easy, people, appreciate what my evil genius giant brain is DOING for YOU”

♡ during the Big Guy scene plankton actually moaned “faster, faster” and it ummm definitely rekindled some feelings...

♡ patchy pointed at me pre-show and said “ye be wearin’ a spongebob shirt?! ye can’t be a bigger spongebob fan than me, I’m his number one fan!” i said “no, no, i’m the musical’s number one fan” and he said “hmm... we’d have a lot to talk about, wouldn’t we”

♡ plankton liking my art was pretty cool too!!!

♡ intermission you were allowed to take pics w/ the cast if you donated to the theater. i didn’t want to be in the pic so i just took a photo of them, and instead of saying “cheese” like everyone else, patrick said “ice creeeeam!!” and plankton shouted “WORLD DOMINATION!!!!!” and sandy muttered “yall can’t be normal during any of these shows” 😂😂

♡ then i told plankton i liked his nails and he said he liked my pin (it was cartoon!plankton). i held it up for him to see and said “it’s you!” and he kneeled down on the stage and leaned forward to see better and said “oh, someone has good taste.” he turned to the others and said “unlike the rest of you!” then squidward said “you don’t have MY FACE on a pin?!” and i said “i do! but it’s at home!” and he raised his hand and said “no, no, it’s too late, i can’t talk to you” sldfkjsdf

anyway this was one of the greatest experiences Ever. being such a small little college playhouse meant the audience was small too, and there was so, so much interaction w/ the cast, before and after the show, and especially during intermission. it was the most fun i’ve had in a while and something i definitely needed ;u;

been doing a fair amount of doodling and i felt some came out decently so i wanted to share haha

i didnt have any references on me, but felt like trying to design ancients Estelle (aberrration), Vroman (veil), and Strix (gaoler)! poor Strix’s design kind of flopped because i could not draw gaolers, pinions, or owls from memory dafds but i’m quite happy with Estelle and Vroman! they both have six legs because ancients deserve to have six legs. and if Betony’s accent actually works out i think i know what direction i want to try for designing for Vroman now c:

second page is just some misc doodles. i havent drawn my wildclaw Squeak in ages and i like how he turned out c: and naturally drew his bf Snoatl too! also first time drawing an aberration on four legs instead of two dfasd that doodle isnt any particular dragon in my lair. there’s also Tildr (tundra), Cherrytide (guardian), Betony (aberration), Jovial (lower coatl whose design i couldnt quite remember tbh asdf), my pre-fr dragon oc Attic, and my giratina oc Hectare!

the next one i actually drew some days back because i wanted to design my aberration Murmillo, and his weed cat (obelisk) gf Cloudsinger! Murmillo has a really cool accent outfit by tomswifty c:

then for the doodles on the bottom we have Reuben (snapper) and Mirim (guardian) because i realized ive never drawn a fullbody pic of Mirim and that needs to be fixed asap..reuben too tbh. and then just a cute full body of Moraine and a little headshot of Tarragon off to the side too haha..gotta stay sharp on my progen designs. and then lastly a gijinka of Yazeena! i thought he came out well! all the other gijinka doodles i did alongside him will not see the light of day however sdfads
