⠀⠀ 💤 IT'S A SECRET! professor!scaramouche x gn!professor!reader
synopsis: being a college professor isn't easy, but dealing with your students' antics is definitely a whole lot harder as they continue to ship you with the biology professor. little do they know, you and scaramouche may be closer than they think... ୨ sfw, modern au, college au, fluff ୧
⠀⠀📋 creds to my beloved still with you anon for this idea... love you!🥹
Tumblr media
"professor (l/n)? you seem to spend a lot of time with the biology professor," one of your students whose name is bennett, curiously comments as he looks at you for a response. you blink for a few moments at the pale haired boy before your pupils dilate as you finally register what he said. "ah, you mean sir scaramouche? he's my superior and i like to recieve tips from him on how to get used to teaching the students," you say with a meek smile.
xingqiu gives bennett a side glance from where he sits next to chongyun and sighs, "who forgot to add bennett to the gc?" bennett appears confused, "eh?" xiangling yelps, "oh, that's my bad! i'm so sorry, bennett!" you wave your hand and usher them to continue working, "come on, everyone. you should complete the essay before talking with your peers."
the lot of them utter a heartfelt apology and return to their work, leaving you to ponder about what xingqiu meant. is it possible that your students have been talking about you and the biology professor in their 'harmless' groupchat? you cover your mouth with a panicked look in your eyes. hu tao subtly nudges xinyan and whispers, "guess what? i saw professor (y/n) and professor scaramouche at the cafe the other day." she grins and wiggles her brows.
xinyan turns in her seat to fully face the brunette with a raised brow and a smirk. "really? gosh, i still can't believe those two aren't a thing yet," she quietly giggles with hu tao. you can only sit and listen in your swivel chair placed at the front of the classroom. 'DO THEY THINK I CAN'T HEAR THEM!?' you think to yourself as you purse your lips and re-adjust your reading glasses with an anxious aura to you.
you nervously look to the side, thinking about whether you should tell your fiance about this ordeal or not. surely, he would be unhappy that your students are 'shipping' you with a random man! but in your case, it's not just any man. it's the one and only biology professor, kunikuzushi ei, or as he likes to go by his other name, scaramouche. you feels your cheeks flush a bright red as you get weak in the knees thinking about him.
yanfei stifles a laugh, "i mean, look at how lovesick they look." chongyun gawks as razor blankly adds, "they look like... chongyun, when too hot." barbara sighs and shakes her head, her bouncy pigtails wiggling with her delicate motion. "you guys should really get to working on the essay," she scolds, yet her tone is as polite as ever. noelle nods, "i-i just think it'd be better to save all this for later."
yanfei thinly exhales, "they're right; we can talk about this later in the group chat." collei clasps her hands together, "okay! it's just so exciting..." fischl laughs in a loud manner from the back of the room, causing everyone to flinch. "i have completed my mission, master (l/n)! is this all you have?" she smugly chuckles as she fans herself with the paper. you have a deadpan expression and that same kind smile.
"have a good night, everyone! don't forget to submit the project before nine tomorrow," you remind your students as they head out the door. as soon as they leave, you slam your hands onto your desk, heaving large inhales and exhales. 'this is seriously bad! if anyone were to find out...' you look left and right, as if someone in the room could read your thoughts. you know how college students are, and you know very well that if word of your engagement gets out, things ought to get messy.
gossip would spread quicker than wildfire and could eventually lead the whole campus to thinking that you have a child! your thoughts are disrupted by a pair of arms wrapping around your torso. you gasp in surprise, "kuni!" scaramouche hums against the back of your neck, sending shivers down your spine from the warmth of his breath. you instantly back away with a red face, "one of my students could have walked in at any moment there!" he puts up a finger, "could have."
scaramouche slyly smiles and you only shake your head. "how was your day, angel?" he queries, placing his hands against the desk. you begin to collect your things for the day and avoid answering the question at hand. scaramouche takes note of this and lets his menacing glare linger upon you until you finally speak up. "my students think we should be a couple," you say in a broken sentence as you melt to the ground. scaramouche bursts into maniacal laughter, "hah, if only they knew! that's ludicrous, dear, but i truly don't see any reason for you to fret about our engagement's publicity."
he helps you up and kisses your cheek. you frown, "i guess so. i'm just worried some rumors will start to go around." scaramouche tilts his head to the side. "i see what you mean. college students are little shits like that," he says with a weary roll of the eyes. you muster up a smile, "it's fine, i do suppose it'll be alright as long as they don't know yet. oh, are we going to go your house for the night?" you ask.
scaramouche replies, "yeah, and-" he stops talking when he hears a yelp of pain. both you and scaramouche look to the source of the sound to find bennett with his face planted in the ground, having previously fell out from the storage closet at the back of the classroom. you exclaim, "BENNETT!?" you rush to check up on the boy's well-being while scaramouche takes his time in walking over without a care in the world. bennett looks up with a beet red face.
"I'M SO, SO SORRY, PROFESSOR (L/N)! IT'S NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE, I DIDN'T MEAN TO EAVESDROP! I JUST GOT STUCK IN HERE TRYING TO FIND AN EXTRA CHARGER FOR MY COMPUTER 'CAUSE I LEFT MINE AT HOME AND-" he blurts out so many things at the same time, you can hardly keep up. yet the only thing you heard was 'eavesdrop.' now it's your turn to panic. but before you can say anything, scaramouche puts a hand on bennett's shoulder. bennett slowly turns his head to face him and he stutters, "s-s-s-sir scaramouche?"
scaramouche's expression is so calm, it scares the both of you. "you're a good kid, bennett," he sighs out, "and that's why-" scaramouche tightens the grip he has on his shoulder and you instantly stand in front of bennett, waving your hands around as you cry out, "HOLD ON, I'M SURE HE DIDN'T MEAN TO!" scaramouche lets go of him and he narrows his eyes to slits. "whatever," he finally says as you and bennett sigh in relief.
you turn to your student and awkwardly grin, "it would be very much appreciated if you didn't tell anyone about it, bennett. could you do that little favor for me?" scaramouche glares at bennett from behind you and bennett manages to squeak out a high-pitched, "yes!" scaramouche closes his eyes, "now that that's out of the way, get out." bennett runs out of the room and trips twice on the way. you harshly punch your fiance's arm, "you could have been nicer to the poor boy!" scaramouche rubs at his bicep and utters, "no one deserves my kindness but you."
your pupils dilate and you scoff, "of course you would say that, kuni." you place a kiss against his neck right where he likes it and you pull away with a cheerful smile to find scaramouche holding a loving gaze saved for you and you only. he tsks, "you know what? let's make our relationship public tomorrow." your eyes widen, "really? but what about-" scaramouche tuts, "enough of that. i'll deal with anyone who bothers you, love." his hands carefully hold yours and he presses his lips against yours.
in the meanwhile, xingqiu has tears in his eyes as he records the whole thing from the agape door. "the fanfiction potential is immense..." he mutters and bennett desperately whispers, "hurry up! i don't want their scary fiance to attack us..." the next day, you're quite confused as to why your students are acting so neutral about you giving them the news of your engagement with scaramouche.
"oh, really? wow, that's surprising."
"who would've thought?"
"congratulations though!"
you could say someone may or may not have given them a deep talk...

I would love to discuss ships in genshin that I like and have headcanons of
Ships I like and probably will talk about-
Kazuha x Scaramouche
Kazuha x Xiao
Xiao x Venti
Scaramouche x Tartaglia
Tartaglia x Zhongli
Lisa x Gene
Ayato x Thoma
Ships that I might talk about (I don't know a lot about them)-
Beidou x Ninguang
Ei x Yae Miko
Diluc x Jean
Kaeya x Albedo
Heizou x Kazuha
Bennett x Razor
Xingqiu x Chongyun
Itto x Gorou
Ships I probably won't talk about-
Amber x Eula
Kaeya x Diluc (this is very split opinions in fandom)
Kokomi x Gorou
Bennett x Razor
Bennett x Barbara (I've heard this like two times and think they might be cute)
Also note- anyone that's not explicitly said to be an adult are people I don't really like to think of ships for. Anything beyond like handholding and wholesome stuff for the teens I don't think of. Honestly for me to think of their relationship is like me being their grandma and being like "oh you two would be so cute together" while pinching their cheeks.

Drive Me Crazy || Highschool AU
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Jean x Childe
Genre: Fluff
Words: 2.7k
A/N: This is my first time writing any sort of fanfiction and I so happen to really like the crackship JeanChi! (Jean x Childe). They obviously haven't interacted or anything (therefore why it's a crackship) but to me, it was a cute pairing. We are all allowed to have our opinions and preferences, so with that being said, please don't hate :) I am a multi shipper, this is just one of many ships.
Warning: Not proof read!! And possibly OOC characters.
Summary:Jean Gunnhildr being the busy person she is, one would never imagine that she even had the time to develop romantic feelings for a certain ginger delinquent, or so the average person would think.
But this all changes on a field trip where things escalate one after another.
🌼
It was the day the students of Teyvat Highschool returned from their trip. They were taken somewhere into the Wolvendom Mountains where it made the perfect place to camp and stay in a lodge. Trees and wilderness everywhere you turn and step, the river perfect for both fishing and swimming, spacious areas perfect for a campfire to gather around and tell scary stores or cook marshmallows.
It was the perfect getaway and relaxation for countless students. It was also the perfect opportunity to get closer to both friends and schoolmates. The previous week had been busy with both exams and the monthly sports festival that was held at the school. For Jean, being the Student Council President, the Captain of the Fencing Club, an honorary student, and and as well as working a part time job, taking a few days off had been admittingly the best thing to happen to her in a while, or at least that what she had originally thought.
Jean had a bit of a crisis. She had a crush on the Snezhnayan ginger that had transferred to the school within the first year of highschool. Currently, she and a couple of others, including; Lisa, Kaeya, Diluc, Zhongli, Ningguang, Beidou and Childe, were on their last year. How the Dandelion Knight, a title given to her by the school due to her spectacular fencing skills, fell for the belligerent and misunderstood boy. Sure, he was a delinquent who wouldn't step down on any fights, in which resulted in being estranged from the people around him. But getting to know him; he was actually just silly, dorky and a tease who was enrolled in drama club under the teacher, Ms. Tsaritsa, and with a group of kids who called themselves the "Fatui Harbingers."
Unfortunately, both Lisa and Kaeya knew of this silly crush of Jean. They often teased her about it which only made her flustered and constantly tumbling on her words. The sneaky duo had actually made Jean sit by herself in the back of the bus, telling her that Childe would sit beside her if he noticed the spot next to her was empty. Little did she know that almost everybody else was in this plan as well, especially her younger sister Barbara who had shipped them for the longest.
With a sigh, she sat beside the window in the farthest seat in the back of the bus, fixating her gaze on the wilderness one last time before she returned back to her busy schedule and sleepless nights. Propping her elbow on the seats armrest, she rested her cheek in the palm of her hand.
On the bus she was in; Lisa and Kaeya sat together planning mischief for the poor blonde; Ningguang and Diluc were discussing what seemed to be businesses; Zhongli was sharing stories with Beidou whose obnoxious laugh filled the bus; Bennett was showing Razor his new gameboy that his dads had bought for him, which unfortunately cracked within the first day of the trip; Barbara and Xinyan seemed to be writing down lyrics; and Fischl and Xiangling spoke about bizarre cuisines that they didn't even sound like they were from this world.
Within a few minutes of mounting the bus, from Jean's peripheral vision, she could see someone approaching her aisle.
"Hey, Jeanie! Were you saving this spot just for me? I knew you couldn't resist me.~" a familiar voice spoke.
'Oh no.' She thought. Much to her dismay, she could feel Kaeya and Lisa snickering from the very front. With a blush, she turned to face the ginger who had spoken.
"Err.. T-That isn't the case, Childe!" She turned her gaze back to window, mentally scolding herself for stuttering, "I just.. happened to have an empty seat beside me."
Childe pursed his lips into a playful pout as he took the seat beside her.
"I was only teasing you, Jeanie. No need to be grumpy!" He laughed, sinking back into the seat before releasing a sigh, one of relief. He was actually glad to be going home, and next to the blonde who he found very interesting. Assuming the blonde was tired from helping everyone clean up opon their leave, he remained quiet so he wouldn't disturb her in case she needed sleep.
But how could Jean sleep? She was sitting next to her crush, someone who made her stomach do flips and heart flutter. It was impossible when all she could hear is the pounding of her beating heart, almost as if it were going to burst out of her chest. Subconsciously, she brought a hand to her chest, grabbing onto the delicate cloth of her shirt.
'Please calm down.. it's only Childe sitting beside me.. nothing else.'
Childe had taken notice of Jean's behavior so he leaned in close as if to whisper, his finger lightly tapping her shoulder.
"Jean."
Jean broke away from her train of thoughts and had turned to face him, only to come face to face with him, their faces a few inches away as they stared into each other's blue eyes.
"Are you alright?" he asked, his voice laced with concern. Her face turned red from the close proximity, having her pull away each and return to her previous position. "I-I'm fine! I'm just..a bit nervous about going back after a couple of days of nothing but relaxation." She responded.
Childe raised a brow, wondering if he had something on his features that she had looked away so fast. With a sigh he slumped back into his seat and closed his eyes to prepare for the long ride ahead of them. "If your definition of relaxing is doing most of the errands, I'm afraid you're strange for that. All you do is work, whether it's on campus or off campus. You need to take it easy on yourself.. the sleepless nights you go through are hard to miss when it's written all over your face."
Jean remained quiet, and continued to do so just a few more seconds. A small smile formed at her lips, feeling a bit of happiness hearing that he cared and payed attention to these things about her. Turning her head to face him, she held a playful gaze.
"Surely the belligerent, delinquent Tartaglia isn't scolding me about taking things easy. I'm flattered that you've noted down all these things about me." Oh, how proud she felt that she managed to muster the courage to say such. Though Childe seemed to be taken aback, she was still no match for him.
Leaning closer to Jean's face, he gazed into her baby blue eyes with a smug grin on his handsome features. "Who would dare overlook such details of a lovely lady like yourself? I can't help but look after this beautiful woman." He brought strands of her hair to his lips, placing a small kiss upon them as he continued to look at her.
Her lips parted, her face turning into a shade of red that rivalled the color of Diluc's hair. Whipping her head back around into the direction of the window, she quietly mutterer, "Silence, youー."
Childe remained in his spot with a triumphant smile, chuckling at how adorable the girl was. It made his heart ache, his body twitch in anticipation, trying to muster up the courage to confess his feelings for her. But was he really willing to take the risk and lose her as a friend? He wasn't. There were far better suitors for her. Suitors like Diluc and Kaeya, maybe even Lisa or Ningguang if she rolled that way!
With a sigh, Childe closed his eyes as he continued to mope about his supposed unrequited love, slowly falling into a slumber.
Jean was only taking her sweet time trying to calm down. Not only were there faces inches away from one another twice.. but he had complimented her as well! While she found herself having a hard time pushing away these feelings, she felt something heavy fall into her shoulder. She grew stiff, turning her head around to what was on her shoulder.
It was Childe. Childe was sleeping. Sleeping on HER.
A million more thoughts ran through her head, steam seemingly coming through her head from how much she was blushing. She carefully sat up so that Childe would be more comfortable, looking down at her hands nervously. She fiddled with her fingers, as well as the ring on her finger that so happened to be a family heirloom of the Gunnhildrs.
She once again looked down at the sleeping ginger, admiring what she could of his features underneath the dim light provided by the bus and the moon. She couldn't help but raise her hand and lightly stroke his cheek with her hand. His skin was softer than she had expected. Noticing the smile on his lips, she couldn't help but wonder if it were because he was having a good dream or it was because of her touch. Nonetheless, she placed a small kiss on his head and looked back out the window into the starry night.
~A few hours later.~
Childe had awaken from his slumber with something on top of his head. He lift his head to see what it was, earning a shift from the girl who had her head on top of his, sleeping. 'Have I been sleeping on Jean this entire time?ー' he thought.
He quickly returned to his spot, pretending to be asleep as Jean slowly wiped away the lingering drowsiness from her eyes. She looked around her surroundings, recognizing the buildings outside. It appeared they were almost back at the school and Childe still hadn't awaken. She leaned her head forward to check if he was asleep, relievedhe seemed to be at ease. Chuckling softly, she whispered, her voice laced with disappointment and sadness, "If only this had lasted a little longer.."
With that, she found herself inching closer and closer to the ginger. Before she could advance any further, Childe's eyes fluttered open, widening at how close Jean was. Jean gasped, pulling back embarrassed. Luckily for her, the bus had come to a stop and it was time to unmount. The others were half asleep, making it easier for her to slip away and exit the bus quickly. She immediately opened the luggage compartments and took out her own, quickly dismissing herself to the teachers.
'How could you be so careless, Jean? Why would you even try to do such a thing? Now there's a relatively high possibility that he won't speak with you anymore!' she scolded herself on her way to the dorms, ashamed of acting upon her feelings.
On the other side, Childe was flustered, bewildered. He was unsure of what to make of this. She was trying to kiss him? THE Jean Gunnhildr had tried to kiss him? Could she possibly return his feelings after all?ー This was quite a lot to process. He knew he was going to stay up all night think about it, about whether he should tell her and risk it. How frustrating.
~A few days later.~
It was the weekend, just a few days after the incident with Childe. Jean and Barbara were at their shared house, alone once again because their parents were abroad for work. She found it harder to focus, sighing a lot more than she normally did. Childe hadn't contacted her since that day and she couldn't even look him in the eye at school. Staring at the blank paper on her desk, she repeatedly clicked her pen, trying to focus on taking notes for a study guide.
Barbara had gotten tired of seeing her elder sister so gloomy and unmotivated. She, for one, did not like the fact that her ship was sinking instead of sailing. Puffing her cheeks, she opened the door to Jean's room and placed her hands on her hips.
"Jean! You can't just mope all day! This is unlike you. How about you go fetch some ice cream while I prepare a meal for us? How does that sound?!" she beamed.
Jean turned to her sister, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly. She was right. She can't sulk about some unrequited love forever. Perhaps it was better this way. She'd be able to focus solely on her work snd goals.
"Alright, alright. Just give me a moment to change and I'll head down to the grocery store." She sighed in defeat, standing up from her seat to slip her arms through the sleeves of her coat.
She trailed after her energetic sister, heading down towards the door and changing out of her slippers and into her shoes. Turning around, she called out to Barbara, "I'll be back soon!" She opened the door and nearly bumped into someone on her exit.
Looking up, she saw the very male that she didn't want to see. Awkwardly, she slowly stepped back inside and closed the door. Childe stopped her from doing so by placing his foot in the way. Placing a hand on the door, he opening it once again and looked down at the blonde with a smirk.
"How rude, Jeanie. Instead of inviting me in and allowing me to speak, you close the door on me?" he teased.
Jean scratched her cheek as she nervously stepped aside to allow him to enter. "E-Er.. I apologize for my ill-mannered actions.. would you like to come in?"
"Why of course, thank you, Jeanie," he said, entering the house and ruffling her hair in the process before he plopped onto the couch. Jean closed the door and awkwardly approached the ginger. "Would you like anything to drink or eat..?"
Childe lifted his hand and shook his head. "I've actually come here to talk to you about what hapー"
"Before you say anything!ー" she interrupted. "I.. I would like to apologize for what I did. It was very wrong on my part.. I.. I didn't ask for your consent and I didn't take in consideration how you'd feel." Her knuckles slowly turned white from how tightly she was grabbing onto the cloth of her coat. She normally wouldn't lose her composure, but after a lot of thinking and unexplainable feelings, she could feel tears spring to the corner of her eyes as she looked down ashamed. "These feelings.. f-feelings for you have made it harder and harder to hide. It's been.. harder to think. My heart does strange things everytime that it feels like it's doing flips when you give me the simplest compliment.. t-the feeling of butterflies in my stomach when I see your smile.." She paused for a second, wiping away her tears.
Childe's mouth was agape. She had beaten him to the question that he had been meaning to ask her. Standing up, he slowly approached her with caution, coming to a stop as she continued.
"I like you, Childe. But I understand if you no longer want to speー"
She was interrupted by the feeling of something soft and warm on her lips. Her eyes widened, a dark red hue painting her features. Childe was kissing her.
Before she could reciprocate the kiss, Childe pulled away slightly, their lips a few centimeters away from one another as his hands cupped her face gently.
"Say it again." He saidー no. He demanded.
"I-I like you, Chilー" he kissed her.
"Again."
"I like you." Kiss.
"Again." He said, giving her a kiss everytime until he decided hearing those words he had been longing for was enough for today. He gently stroked her cheek with her thumb, smiling down warmly at her. "Sorry.. haha. You looked so adorable I couldn't help myself. But.. I like you too, Jean. It seems I made the right choice of coming here, after all."
Childe brought the flustered girl's hand to his lips, placing a kiss on her knuckles before he looked into her eyes. "Will you do me the honors of becoming my girlfriend, Jean?"
"Yes." She breathed out, a bright smile on her lips.
"I will treasure you, lyubimaya."
To Childe, Jean reminded him of the sunshine. Like a lioness as delicate as a dandelion.
To Jean, Childe reminded her of the ocean. Like a lonely whale that had found a meaning, one that wouldn't make him so lonely anymore.
They spent the rest of the day in each other's arms.. but little did they know that a certain blonde was squealing and taking pictures of her sailing ship, ready to spread the news.
