currently watching: Saint Seiya with the besties, Link Click Season 2, and missed a lot of a group Abaranger watch so I'm gonna try catch up solo on that. Also internally screaming at myself to watch Arcane and tick that off the watch list instead of going back and watching Steven Universe again for the 200th time.

currently reading: OOOH i'm so glad I get to talk about this, I read all of Scoob and Shag and Stand By Me today and I recommend both so much 10/10 experience. Scoob and Shag is kind of confusing at first but the character development and world building is really fun and I think it's super well done. Also the way the backstories are thrown in feels surprisingly natural and generally flow with whatever action is happening. Also it has transmasc Inspector Gadget, Swiper the Fox and Courage the Cowardly Dog dating, and Scoob and Bugs with so much divorced energy. Also Stand By Me protags feel like ShouAki but also have their own extremely cute flavor of romantic chemistry.

current obsession: Hollow Knight and Uuultra C are holding hands in my brain. I'm gonna clean this up later but I'm in so deep I drew Shou holding the Knight, please look at this blurry as hell photo.

A. Frostbite Writer

The impossible writer. A walking contradiction, so beautiful, with pain wrapped all wound you. Your characters taste the best and worst of this world, just like you did. And they get hurt, covered in scars and with their heart in pieces, but they keep walking, pain in their eyes and in their every step. But just like your characters, you don't give up. Everything hurts, but you still go on. Your stories are deep, sometimes the reader needs to read through the lines, sometimes not, but the feelings you describe linger in your reader's hearts for long. You're able to leave a print. Usually you write stories that carry with them the burden you had to carry, but when you write about a pure love, your readers will find the comfort of a hug from a loved one. god I'm so fucking furious at the removal of Te Reo Māori names from organisations around Aotearoa. it's a complete non-issue, every organisation has the English name directly underneath the Māori name. I have never once as an English speaker been unable to understand what an organisation is for. Winston Peters, the Deputy Prime Minister, who is literally Māori himself, said “Te Papa is a historic name but tell me this waka kotahi, how many boats have you seen going down the road?”. Waka does not just mean canoe. it means vessel, and waka kotahi (the transport agency of Aotearoa) explains this VERY SIMPLY on their official website. waka kotahi means to travel together as one. Can you see how fucking upsetting this is. A Māori person in power who is in agreement about banning his own language, being so cocky about something that he does not even understand due to the suppression of the language of his people. It makes me sick. I've seen reports from Māori people all over Aotearoa speaking out about how upset and furious they are, how decades of progress have been undone in the fight to restore the rights of their people who have for so long been oppressed and have suffered the effects of colonisation. Please share this if you can, I hate knowing how few people will hear about this, I know there is so much injustice in the world right now and it is so exhausting, I know. I love you all, keep it up.

These don’t actually feel like opposites to me tbh, but I guess happy endings. I’m always scared so scary movies are not really my jam lol. If I like the story but not the ending, that’s what fanfic is for!

I can make playlists that are good and also exactly a certain length. I’m especially proud of one called “Exactly 60 Minutes of ‘It’s Not a Phase’”

House M.D. but it's when Wilson says House's name

#house md #james wilson #prince's talk tag #finally!!! it's done! this and the house version took almost two weeks to do #first off thank you to the clinic-duty team on livejournal for making the transcripts for these episodes #because this video would be near impossible to make without their clear transcripts. I hope y'all are doing well #ive been reading a lot of fics with these two and i see how the authors have the characters refer to each other in their fics #and that got me wondering how much do they say each other's name in the show and how do they refer to each other #since this is the wilson video ill put his stats here #s1 was 11 times s2 was 18 s3 was 45 s4 was 32 s5 was 41 s6 was 60 s7 was 47 and s8 was 48 #in total he says his name 302 times. Mostly refers to him just by House #the only time I've heard him say his first name its when he's being professional or when he's really angry (and that one time he proposed)#and even then it's always the full name not just the first name #the only instance I've seen him use just his first name was on that note he put on House's xmas gift that we see in season 5 #and as much as I wanted to put that moment in here he never actually says the contents of the note out loud so i had to leave it out #but what surprised me was he says House's name more than House says his name #especially when the earlier seasons didn't have him say his name as much
