Maybe it’s just me but I have this feeling that Portwell isn’t over yet. They still haven’t gotten proper closure, I think there is a possibility they could get back together in the future when the timing is right and when they learn from their mistakes but only time will tell. I refuse to believe Portwell story isn’t over yet and that Gina never had feelings for EJ that makes no sense to me.
i sincerely hope you're right! i, too, feel portwell ended in a way that really doesn't give them the closure, not only that they deserved, but that made narrative sense after their extensive build-up. also you honestly cannot convince me gina never loved ej like don't gaslight me or her this isn't girl meets world
i personally don't see anything happening between them anymore - especially since matt is no longer a series regular but both josh & sof are. plus a lot of the narrative focus is going to be on the og hsm reunion, so i don't think t*m will want to revive the love triangle plot or give it a lot of importance. i also just have no faith in t*m caring about portwell or ej at all lol.
but honestly, never say never!! i think it would be fantastic & there are certainly ways it could be done with grace, care & in a way that serves all the characters' arcs positively. i would love to see it, of course. here's hoping i guess!!

Got a little high and started thinking about a world where fall out boy isn't a thing 😭
Like theres a universe out there where they didn't return after the hiatus (that's a sad one because they already knew each other, we already got to have fob but it didn't end in the best terms and 😭)
There's probably also one where maybe they knew each other but Pete said no Joe I don't want to meet the weird kid you met at borders and maybe Patrick still becomes a composer and joes writing scripts or comics (in this universe they get married and adopt kids), arma actually becomes a well known band and Andy joins that and we still don't have fob but they're all friendly acquaintances so it's ok
There's an even more depressing universe where Pete goes to law school and becomes an attorney or judge, Joe becomes a dentist or something, Andy is a personal trainer and Patrick works a boring office job or teaches music at a middle school and they never meet. 😭
The world is pretty much a trash fire but I'm glad we exist in the universe where Patrick butted into joes conversation and Joe insisted on Pete hearing him play and they talked Andy into joining and after all that they came back together and they're still friends and we get to hear more music I'm making myself cry I love fababoi
