Undertaker's Not so Secret Admirer
Synopsis: The Undertaker's shop is filled with odd visits, but he never expected one such as this.
It started as a normal day in the Undertakers shop, slow as usual for the small funeral parlor.

The Undertaker bursts into laughter at the sentiment.
"Oh god, I've just heard so much about you. They said you were good looking, but I could've never imagined how right they were," she continues, voice growing more and more smitten as she trails off.
The Undertaker cannot seem to stop his fit of laughter now.
"Actually, young master, I believe we shall leave The Undertaker to this company. It would simply be improper to do otherwise..." the butler spoke, silently guiding his master up from his seat. The earl mutters some very confused phrases on his way up out the door.
The Undertaker tilts his hat towards the earl on his way out and he watched as the young woman seats herself once again. She tries to hide her flushed expression, sipping from her tea cup once again.
The Undertaker clicks his tongue several times as he raises from his seat and heads towards the door which had been left agape. "Ahaha.. Oh dear," He says, wiping a stray tear from his eye from giggling too much.
The Undertaker leans his back against the door, closing the remaining gap between you and the outside world.
"Now, if you planned on coming here to present such a hilarious show such as that one in hopes that I would tell you about myself.. you could have just asked." His voice lowers more and more as he goes on and begins to slowly creep towards where you stay seated.
The sudden realization that all of his attention was now placed on you had you blushing profusely. You attempted to cover your face with your gloved hands, however your sense told you that he already knew how flustered you were.

sup yalllll hope you're all cool. things are crazy rn but. great too. finally got some free time and what do I do.....
I'm sorry to everyone that won't find this interesting, I did this like 100% for myself. this week I saw a presentation on the show Arcane, and I immediately rewatched it afterwards because after 2 years I remembered how much I love it. especially the art style... I'm sorry but I've always wanted to try it, and with my favorite characters even better. so good thing I had a Sebastian head sculpt lying around which I use for reference. 11 hours later.....
the head sculpt was bald and naked so I had to imagine the rest, but I think that kinda lends itself to the style. I was too impatient to wait for the 3d animation course I will be taking next year if not sooner, so I just painted over the model. and thankfully, I'm happy to say that I'm actually pleased. it's not perfect, but I got what I wanted •v• I can imagine more clearly.
but the most important thing to know is Happy October!!! have a lovely day
#admittedly. something in the painting process happened where it no longer was the exact face I wanted. that's the complicated thing about#shading... the shadows and lights can really change one's facial structure#but as long as i didnt mess up the already stable proportions... no but in all seriousness leah is killing it as annabeth and its super clear that she did her research and understands the character (in interviews she talks about how she read annabeth povs in later books and did research on greek mythology and athena so she could understand the lightning thief not just from percys pov but from annabeth 🥺🥺 she so annabeth coded irl i adore her) and it genuinely shows like ive microanalyzed all her expressions because her facial acting has so much DEPTH and LAYERS and OH MY GODS leah deserves all the parties and we are so privileged to have her as our annabeth chase <3 imagine being that talented at like 13
im super excited to see what additions she makes to the character in this adaptation!!! already i think she's really highlighting annabeth's battle strategy smarts over just booksmarts which EVERYONE ALWAYS FORGETS ABOUT SHES NOT JUST A BOOK NERD SHES A FUCKING GENERAL HEAD OF THE ATHENA CABIN MOST FORMIDABLE DEMIGOD AT CAMP AS A 12 YEAR OLD the duality is giving me LIFE and i love how she gets to boss around percy and grover (leah also talked about loving to get to be in charge and competitive as annabeth which shes SO REAL FOR THAT shes such an annabeth type) BUT ALSO YOU ALREADY GET TO SEE HER VULNERABILITIES AND INSECURITIES AND THE WAY SHE CARRIES HERSELF THAT MAKES HER SIMULTANEOUSLY COOL BUT ALSO IS A REFLECTION OF TRAUMA AND POOR EMOTIONAL COPING yeah basically shes not just giving us annabeth shes giving us annabeth but MORE and its making me understand her character BETTER and in a NEW way (and if you have anything to say about her portrayal in the show i will genuinely pull up with a full ass powerpoint slideshow because IF YOU MEDIA COMPREHEND FOR TWO SECONDS AND KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HER CHARACTER IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE AND ITS SO JUICY AND JALKDJFKBL)
i think about that shot of her looking at percy using medusas head through the screen porch ALL THE TIME. and her delivery of "grover can you tell your friend to pull himself together" LIKE THATS WHEN SHE TURNS TO HER PROTECTOR FOR HELP AND IT HAS A LITTLE BIT OF A SASSY IM-BETTER-THAN-YOU-PERCY VIBE TO IT BECAUSE SHES HIDING THE FACT THAT SHES SCARED AND UNCOMFORTABLE TO TALK ABOUT HER RELATIONSHIP WITH HER UNAVAILABLE MOM (and percy sees right through that just as she sees right through percy and oh my gods if i get started on percabeth ill never shut up)
anyways thanks for giving me an opportunity to go on a mini rant about leahbeth i could say so much more because when i say ive analyzed every frame my girl is in i am NOT joking
but ill just end by saying that anyone who is upset by show annabeth being black literally did not understand her as a character or the percy jackson books in general so they can stfu and get their little butthurt wrong opinions out the door bc they dont belong here anyway <3 rick and becky also talked about how they hired black sensitivity readers to help write annabeth's blackness more authentically into her character in the show so very much hoping that they do that well! and im overall just super excited to see what changes they make to adapt my favorite character to a new era, a new medium, and a new audience!

What's automatic drawing?
here's a rly good video explaining it!
basically it's the process of letting your hand draw whatever, and not letting your brain get in the way in terms of overanalysing and preventing yourself from developing proper looseness and flow -- it's a really good exercise for not getting in your own way, and ive found it really helps with my ability to sketch out thumbnails quickly when im doing comics etc!

how did the concert went? :)
It was amazing!!! Mitski’s such a great performer and her voice control was insane and her choreography was so fun aaahh :’) she’s so funny too she was even playing tag with the spotlight at one point heheh

i feel like i’ve been seeing something…tell me if i’m wrong.
it’s bg3 edits that leave SOME of the skin texture, but not all of it. a few of the bigger wrinkles are left, some bumpiness, maybe. it’s like when you see someone on instagram who’s really good at facetune - they leave some “issues” so that it looks believable.
which i am not dragging! do that if you want to, and i mean that! people - especially women and femme people, but really everyone, esp these days - feel the pressure to present themselves a certain way, especially if their appearance is part of how they make a living. live your life!
i guess the thing about these bg3 images that bothers me is that…no one loses if the wrinkles and pockmarks are there. these aren’t real people. there was a big moment of “stop smoothing out all of the skin textures on these characters!” when the game first came out, and now it feels like…there are folks out there going, okay. i’m going to leave SOME in, so i don’t get yelled at on the internet. but i’m going to do some editing to make them a liiiittle younger. or just a taaad less scarred. or give them sliiiiiightly smoother cheeks.
and at the end of the day…people should, and will, make the art the want to make. they’ll edit images and gif sets and videos they way they want to edit them. it just feels weird and dystopian to me, personally, to see the subtle instagram edits on these fictional characters. especially when we so rarely get characters with these skin textures.
