hello omg I just wanted to thank you for the robb/margaery art even though I haven't been into asoiaf in ages bc it's absolutely beautiful 💕 they remind me of like. when you're a young high school student and this is the It couple like the undisputed prom king and queen, leadership in prominent school organizations, popular and well-known around everyone, headed to really really good schools, but the thing is they're so genuinely nice to everyone, esp underclassmen, you can't help but root for them and their success like they're the older siblings you always dreamed of.... and that art of them dancing!! I can’t think of any completed Twine games but I remember both “When Twilight Strike” and “Night Market” being fairly long.

Chan’s life working as a postdoctoral researcher for famed criminology professor Dr. Anakinn Theerapanyakul is steady, routine, and proscribed. He keeps his head down, does his work, and occasionally provides friendly, almost paternal advice to the department’s graduate students. His carefully constructed life gets shaken up when he accidentally offers to help one of the rising stars, a stunning young student known as Big, with his submission for a student paper award.
Big is desperate for Kinn, who’s supposed to be his advisor but has been…distracted, lately, to notice him. If that means accepting Chan’s help on his paper for the conference-sponsored award competition, so be it. And if Chan slowly becomes his best friend and biggest supporter along the way, well, that doesn’t change anything. Right?

I love that chan, with his controlled and carefully-ordered life, gets blindsided by desire and it breaks him out of his routine. characters that are extremely competent and fair but firm, and their one exception. big having someone who is actually interested in helping him and becoming better and more confident because of it. someone who wants validation and praise and someone who will only give it if warranted–but will also help get you there. PERFECT. plus, academia shenanigans
the vegaspete fic in this series is also amazing!!!!!

Fuckbuddies to lovers, I just realized this is less than 6k words long and it contains so much! I love itttttt. The progression from fun, rough sex to soft and emotional sex is perfect and big realizing (if not in so many words) maybe he does have a praise kink and likes pet names and to be treated softly 🫣 plus I love their little snippets of conversations 💕

Summary: “I thought you were dead, Big, when I carried you from that building. I’m not asking for thanks,” he tacks on quickly when Big opens his mouth, eyes still wide and shocked. “That’s not why I’m saying this. I just need you to know that in that moment, I decided to prioritise your dead body over my live one. When you say I look at you differently –”
He cuts himself off. Already, he’s said enough, and Big’s expression is frozen. Grimacing, Chan lets shame lick at his insides; welcomes it, even. This is the secret he was supposed to take to the grave, and here it lies, spilled out over the sheets between them, a mess of blood and bone.

i LOVE the way big is written in this fic. it’s hard to explain, but as it’s from chan’s perspective, the opacity of what big is thinking and the way he reacts to chan are so interesting to me–you can see why Chan is drawn to him. plus the scene of chan finding out that big doesn’t have any personal effects because he has scraped all of that away to work for the Theerapanyakul family… 😭 of course I also recommend So lovers say by the same author which is an amazing fake dating fic where chan and big pretend to date to stave off rumors of big's feelings for kinn ahhhhh angst with a happy ending, the yearning is top tier 💘

Being a bodyguard under Chan, being subordinate to the older man in both occupation and experience, Big is content with this dynamic. More often than not, he subconsciously settles back and submits to Chan without really realizing. It's just the way they are with each other.
At the same time, though, he knows that can't be the case 24/7, 365 days a year. There are days where Big will take on a more dominant role, days where Chan is the one who settles back and willingly hands the reins to his younger boyfriend.
Or, sometimes Chan needs to not be in charge for once. When those times happen, Big is more than willing to step up and take care of his boyfriend. In a few different ways.

i love this role reversal from the usual chanbig dynamic to have big take care of chan, the way it shows how well he knows chan and chan just letting himself be taken care of in a way that i feel like he would normally deny himself! very sweet and hot established relationship dynamic that i loooove ahhh 😘

Chan is in a state of panic, Big can see his form keeping up with the teal gown-wearing paramedics. This isn’t the first time. It is almost comical how Big has managed to get himself severely injured three times in the past months. All because of Porsche. Fucking Porsche.
Big wants to speak to Chan, tell him it doesn’t hurt that bad (it does) and that he is crushing his hand (he isn’t).
Slight AU where Big doesn't die and gets to live his life with the one who makes him the happiest.

I love this fic and how it shows big and chan through the years from when they meet to after the events of the show, and how their feelings for each other change and grow. it feels like such a natural progression and exactly the kind of ending I wanted for them so if you ever wanted a fix-it fic, this is it!!!! 💕💕

When Kinn encourages both Big and Chan to take leave, Big ends up inviting Chan to his apartment. Chan is surprised because he wasn't even aware that Big had an apartment. But when Big explains that he wants to end the lease, Chan helps him pack everything up. Then Big's ex shows up, and everything goes to hell.

“You could come with me?” Big blurts out, then flushes another lovely shade of peony pink.
“To your apartment?” Chan asks, tone sceptical even as his heart leaps at the thought.
“Yes. I mean, only if you want to, sir. If you don’t have other plans or anything…”
Chan thinks that even if he did have plans, he’d cancel them for Big. For the promise of spending the day with him.

hellooooo the way that Chan and Big care for each other in this fic makes me so feral AGHHJJ it's slow and subtle and I love it so much. this fic is more plot- and action-heavy than the others, with Ken as a bodyguard for the minor family trying to infiltrate the main compound, so there's a lot of great fights and action as well 💗💗💗

hiii !! just started playing this game after like. i don't know how i found it tbh it was just there in my recs one day but !!! this game means so fucking much t me you have no clue. very much reminiscent of it in the. childhood friend group sense and ohmygod playing as iggy is sooo fun and like. as someone who pulled away i relate. anyway it's. act 2 only but the horror is already effervscent. love the fucked up vibes and like. i do hope you do better <3 this game means so muc <3 n so do you <3

ahh erm i dont really read long fics anymore because some of the specific things i look for are usually untagged and i dont want to read a good amount, get jumpscared and lose motivation to continue the fic and just feel like i wasted my time, BUT i have read one super good long fic. it is my favourite fic in the whole world
it is Either must die at the hand of the other by @metalomagnetic
i love this fic so much. metalo nails their dynamic to a very large extent and the smut is top tier. there is a lot of angst, heavy themes and delphini is a large part of this fic.
also, voldemort is characterised so close to canon, it’s so good. bellatrix isn’t disrespected like some other fics tend to do.
this fic also explores the emotions of other side charcters REALLY well, like andromeda and delphini for example, you know i don’t really like when fics ONLY talk about harry and voldemort, so yeah.. the addition of other characters really adds to the depth of the story.
i know it’s already really popular and you might have read it already but Genuinely, this fic was the only fic that got me HOOKED from beginning to end. All The Way. Metalo’s characterisations are just So Good. and their voldemort is a joy to read. Oh, and the whole series is really good, too.

Omggg I just finished binge reading ondlb and I am IN LOVE!! Its so good am amazed at your writing!! Literally the best enemies fic in the fandom and one of my all time favs!!

citrus and lavender by @heartfulselkie - this is like one of THE fics that inspired odnlb! the way selkie writes is just delicious, and the story is incredibly and lovingly crafted. they are exceptionally good at grabbing you by the heartstrings and making you feel the characters' emotions in your own body. c&l is one of my favorites and has a really special place in my heart <3
as time goes by by @redundant-lava - based on casablanca - 1942. it's amazingly written, clever, and emotionally gutting. this was MADE to be an mlb enemies au and lava did such a good job with it. i will never stop rec-ing it!
once more, with feeling by @zimtlein - this one is rated e, just a heads up. it's so so good! the way the relationship develops between marinette and adrien had me reeling from the first chapter. it's kind of dark but sooo romantic. if it's your speed, it's a good one to binge!
et donc, ils dansent by dame_de_la_chance - amazing, awe-inspiring! the feelings i felt while reading this! the way the enemies dynamic is portrayed is just so juicy, and there's so much pining. i go back and read it every so often to soak in the masterfulness.
heroes don't love villains by vrdant - gosh this one is so good. i have read it so many dozens of times and it's still not enough. this author is such a good writer and captures feelings so well. this one will be burned into your soul for sure.
marionette strings by @rosekasa (maketea on ao3) - absolutely stunning. omg. i reread it again while writing these recs and it shook me to my soul. alizeh is a master of the craft and a master of enemies ladynoir. this fic changed me and it will change you too.

now imagine, pining-idiots-that-haven't-realized-they-are-in-love Allu and Olli are probably enjoying their well deserved breaks from all the stuff they did in 2023 (and most likely with their partners by their side), but I like to imagine that they still make some time for at least one video call once a week, or that they exchange dumb texts daily because they miss each other so much 🥺💕
maybe Olli grabs his guitar one night and comes up with some beautiful riff that he sends to Allu, but this time Aleksi decides that they have to finish it together side by side (clearly an excuse to see Olli again because oooops, he realized he has Feelings™ for his friend and bandmate) and well, Olli had to travel to Helsinki anyway (to make sure the new posters were shipped correctly, or to sign a legal document or some made up bullshit), soooo why not stay at his just-a-friend-i-swear's place for a few days?
they would have the Moment Of Realization late at night, around 2AM when Allu is finally done with the remix and Olli is already asleep on the couch (is he really asleep, though? or just enjoying the moment with his eyes closed?). Allu would not resist the temptation of brushing a curl off Olli's beautiful face, and maybe caressing one of his cheeks while he can, not forseeing that Olli would be very much awake, so now they're both holding their breaths and staring at each other with so much love 💖💕💘
maybe they finally dare to get closer and share a shy little kiss after all those years of pining, or maybe they feel like they can't do it, not while they still have a significant other, and leave the studio confused and unsure of what to do next 🥰

The characterization of touya and his development of romantic feelings is just so, so wonderfully well done. I think about those two all the time— it’s just: what are they up to these days? has touya throttled kinjo yet? have they progressed to sleeping in the bed together rather than one on the couch? because they are just so special to me and I want to swaddle your touya in a heated blanket and make him a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream.

dabi is — sitting in the dark of your room.
on the bed, looking at the window he's just come through, how the night has followed him in. the clothes he's wearing smell like people, weird as that is to say; not at all like the passion-blah-blah-blah detergent he's become spoiled on.
and you're — not home. before he clambered in, he knew that already, but even a shell of you is better than nothing. preferable, almost, or at least that's what he tells himself.
couple weeks ago, you mentioned seeing a movie together, asked if you should take the night off before your work schedule came out, but dabi thinks that's all a little juvenile, doesn't he? whaddya wanna do? tongue each other in the back row? as if he gives a damn what's popular these days, what everyone's watching or why. not like he's got a ton of time to consume the general media.
but he's still here now. in the absence of you and your passion-blah-blah-blah, picking the lint off your comforter. there's no telling how to work the fucking washing machine; it sings and has a lot of buttons and he's never really watched you put the soap in it, and all he needs is for you to come home and know he's been here 'cause he flooded the place.
still hasn't decided if he's gonna stay the night.
(well, he has, because he always does, but he's at least trying to entertain the prospect of skipping out. for the sake of his ego.)
a huff of laughter slips through his mouth and all his gaps, watching his mirrored image in your vanity. "fucking pussy-whipped, dude."
"oh, touya, don't say that," he raises his voice several octaves, eyes falling closed as he lays back on your bed. sinks into it, really, as if it's trying to swallow him whole. as if he wants it to. "watch your mouth, hm, hm, hm."
and then he laughs for real, because he's fucking stupid.
what do you look like right now, he wonders. how'd you do your makeup today, and if you wore your favorite scrubs or settled for the ones that are a little too big. who've you spoken to. who had the gall to make you laugh. after knowing your nearly every goddamn move for half his life, being in the dark — fucking literally — has him distracted. side-tracked, for the past two days since he's seen you.
you're asking a lot of questions lately. ones he can't answer. things are — moving into place, changing, and they're all preparing for the grand finale.
touya is supposed to be preparing for the end, and instead he has his face pressed into your pillow, trying to scent himself in you so that he'll go unnoticed, just for a little while. really shouldn't even be here because he's got real important lieutenant shit to do, but —
no. because he's fucking pussy-whipped. and he ain't even gotten any yet.
touya wonders if you'll take the night off, when he kills endeavor. if you'll take the week off, when he's killed in turn.
touya wonders who is gonna walk you home that late at night.
fight-or-flight kicks in when the keys sound in the lock, but dabi's preparing for the end, anyway, so he just lays there. watches the amber glow of your living room lamp as it's twisted on, listens to the soft sound of your footfalls and maybe a plastic bag or two. you mutter something to yourself and his lips twitch, and when you stroll into your room, your eyes are on your phone.
when the light flips on, he groans and buries his face, muffled. blinded. "ah, fuck!"
the wavering breath you gasp in has him snorting, and then the knock against the wall has him peeking at you, squinting. you've got a hand over your chest and your phone is face down on the carpet and you look like you've seen a ghost.
right now that metaphor sucks, with everything on his mind.
"touya," you exhale, and his toes curl in his holey socks like a little fucking schoolgirl. "god, you scared me half to death!"

"turn the damn light off," he groans again, "some of us are trying to get some shut eye."
your expression melts down into one he's used to; yeah, it's been two days since he's been around, but he's answered when you called — "just to check" — so you shouldn't be all pissy. a little upset, because that ain't hard to do, but this is the best he can give you, with the time he has left.
even after you flick the light off, he can make out the soft curve of your cheek and it releases him from some shitty, unnamed thing; he wouldn't call it fear or panic or anxiety, but maybe something like it, if he wanted to be honest. and he doesn't.
a little flicker of want comes to life in the pit of his stomach, at the sight of you kneeling on the bed to lay beside him. he's not gonna die without fucking the life out of you, but your touch is making him too jittery tonight. has him on edge, and not the sexy kind.
"well hello stranger," you muse, tucking hair behind his ear before fiddling with one of his hoops. tense as he is, he should probably tell you to cut it out, but — fuck it.
"i'm here to rob you. gimme all your valuables and i'll let you live."
and because you're a fucking — little weirdo, you just tilt your head and crinkle your nose, already grinning. "what if you are my valuable?"
"shut the fuck up," he gripes, back curling like a cat as he faces away from you. the lilt of your laughter drags across his spine like a fine point, making him shiver and itch. "though we were s'pposed to see a movie, or something? not kiss each other's ass."
despite the curtain he's closed in your face, you still scoot closer to him, press your face against his back. "well, i'm sure it's too late now, all the last showings have probably started." you take his silence for disappointment, and are quick to appease. "we can watch something here though, if you'd like."
"i was expecting popcorn."
you snort, "that'll probably hurt your stomach, but i can make some." silence unnerves you again and you poke at his hips. "do you mind facing me?"
dabi does mind — but moments like this are what he'll want to remember. you're so close that his nose bumps yours, but you just smile at him, a little shy, like he hasn't known you your whole goddamn life.
"missed you." gently, your eyes close, like you're so fucking content that you could fall asleep just like this. "i know you can't tell me, but...i hope everything's okay."
and — touya has to fist a hand in your hair and knock his forehead with yours — softly; he's not trying to have any repeat incidents.
"i said i'm here to rob you, now tell me where the money is," he grits, "and maybe i'll even keep you for myself. like a little housepet."
"my wallet's out in the kitchen," you hum, wrapping your hand over his own until his grip loosens. "you can have it, just don't hurt the guy here in my bedroom."
"fuck him," dabi rasps, and you gasp, all dramatics. "i'll torch the idiot."
"then i'll fight you." again with your grinning; you hitch a leg over his waist, like you'll straddle him any moment and — whew. okay, your touch isn't making him that jittery. "you'll have to go through me first."
it's fucking bullshit, how true that is; preparing for the end means letting go, unfurling the hand he's had on you for so long. the very idea has him rolling the two of you over, pressing you firmly into your passion-blah-blah-blah sheets so that you're stuck, with no means to escape. some feral voice inside touya's head reminds him that you're his, because he's fucking earned you. all the waiting and watching he did, how hard he's worked to get you like this; beneath him and laughing and unbothered by the macabre of his hands and lips.
preparing for the end: yeah, he's working on it, but it ain't something he's got time for tonight.
too bad, so sad, but — he's got a movie date.
